Eric Dumazet says: ==================== tcp: mmap: rework zerocopy receive syzbot reported a lockdep issue caused by tcp mmap() support. I implemented Andy Lutomirski nice suggestions to resolve the issue and increase scalability as well. First patch is adding a new getsockopt() operation and changes mmap() behavior. Second patch changes tcp_mmap reference program. v4: tcp mmap() support depends on CONFIG_MMU, as kbuild bot told us. v3: change TCP_ZEROCOPY_RECEIVE to be a getsockopt() option instead of setsockopt(), feedback from Ka-Cheon Poon v2: Added a missing page align of zc->length in tcp_zerocopy_receive() Properly clear zc->recv_skip_hint in case user request was completed. ==================== Signed-off-by: David S. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
