Amitkumar Karwar gives us a cfg80211 fix that changes some state
tracking in order to avoid a WARNING.

Arik Nemtsov provide a mac80211 fix for an RCU-related race.

Avinash Patil shares a pair of mwifiex fixes, one which invalidates
some stale configuration data before a channel change and another to
restrict hidden SSID support to zero-length SSIDs only.

Chun-Yeow Yeoh brings a mac80211 fix for a mesh problem triggered
when combining multiple mesh networks into one.

Felix Fietkau provides a mac80211 lockdep fix.

Joe Perches fixes a couple of thinkos related to bitwise operations.

Johannes Berg comes through with a flurry of fixes. The iwlwifi ones
address a problem Linus recently reported, and some of the fallout
discovered while fixing it. The mac80211 fix properly cleans-up
remain-on-channel work on an interface that is stopped. The others
are clean-ups for regressions caused by stricter checking of possible
virtual interfaces supported by wireless drivers.

Meenakshi Venkataraman provides a mac80211 fix for an off-by-one error.

Seth Forshee provides a fix to make the wireless adapters used in
some Mac boxes work after being in S3 power saving state.

Stanislaw Gruszka offers a copule of fixes, a fix for a mac80211
scanning regression and an rt2x00 fix to avoid some lockdep spew.

Last but not least, Vinicius Costa Gomes provides a bluetooth fix
for a typo that "was preventing important features of Bluetooth
from working".

2eb278e083 mac80211: unify SW/offload remain-on-channel
Redesign all the off-channel code, getting rid of
the generic off-channel work concept, replacing
it with a simple remain-on-channel list.

This fixes a number of small issues with the ROC
implementation:
 * offloaded remain-on-channel couldn't be queued,
now we can queue it as well, if needed
 * in iwlwifi (the only user) offloaded ROC is
mutually exclusive with scanning, use the new
queue to handle that case -- I expect that it
will later depend on a HW flag

The bigger issue though is that there's a bad bug
in the current implementation: if we get a mgmt
TX request while HW roc is active, and this new
request has a wait time, we actually schedule a
software ROC instead since we can't guarantee the
existing offloaded ROC will still be that long.
To fix this, the queuing mechanism was needed.

The queuing mechanism for offloaded ROC isn't yet
optimal, ideally we should add API to have the HW
extend the ROC if needed. We could add that later
but for now use a software implementation.

Overall, this unifies the behaviour between the
offloaded and software-implemented case as much
as possible.

196ac1c13d mac80211: do remain-on-channel while idle
The IDLE handling in HW off-channel is broken right
now since we turn off IDLE only when the off-channel
period already started. Therefore, all drivers that
use it today (only iwlwifi!) must support off-channel
while idle, so playing with idle isn't needed at all.

Off-channel in general, since it's no longer used for
authentication/association, shouldn't affect PS, so
also remove that logic.

Also document a small caveat for reporting TX status
from off-channel frames in HW remain-on-channel.

2e8d397eee mac80211: add stations after AP start on reconfig
When performing a HW restart for an AP mode interface, add stations back
only after the AP is beaconing. This mimics the normal flow of STA
addition on AP.

Some devices (wlcore) do not support adding stations before beaconing,
so this has the added benefit of making recovery work for them.

ebf348fcd0 cfg80211: validate remain-on-channel time better
The remain-on-channel time validation shouldn't
depend on the value of HZ, as it does now with
the check against jiffies, since then you might
use a value that works on one system but not on
another. Fix it by checking against a minimum
that's fixed.

Also add validation of the wait duration for a
management frame TX since this also translates
into remain-on-channel internally.

3b08cf6bd2 mac80211: Clear wowlan flag when drv_suspend returns failure
drv_resume can get called without a prior call to drv_suspend.
Consider the following steps:

1. Suspend is started but driver's drv_suspend returns error.
2. Suspend is aborted. local->wowlan flag is left set.
3. Interface is removed.
4. Suspend again. This time open_count is 0 so drv_suspend is
not called and local->wowlan not cleared.
5. On resume ieee80211_reconfig will call drv_resume since
   local->wowlan is set.

27e49ca955 rfkill: Add the capability to switch all devices of all type in __rfkill_switch_all().
__rfkill_switch_all() switches the state of devices of a given type; however,
it does not switch devices of all type (RFKILL_TYPE_ALL). As a result, it
ignores the keycode "KEY_RFKILL" from another module, i.e. eeepc-wmi.

This fix is to make __rfkill_switch_all() to be able to switch not only
devices of a given type but also all devices.

e8c9bd5b8d cfg80211: clarify set_channel APIs
Now that we've removed all uses of the set_channel
API except for the monitor channel and in libertas,

55432d2b54 inetpeer: fix a race in inetpeer_gc_worker()
commit 5faa5df1fa (inetpeer: Invalidate the inetpeer tree along with
the routing cache) added a race :

Before freeing an inetpeer, we must respect a RCU grace period, and make
sure no user will attempt to increase refcnt.

inetpeer_invalidate_tree() waits for a RCU grace period before inserting
inetpeer tree into gc_list and waking the worker. At that time, no
concurrent lookup can find a inetpeer in this tree.

cc1d2806bf cfg80211: provide channel to join_mesh function
Just like the AP mode patch, instead of setting
the channel and then joining the mesh network,
provide the channel to join the network on to
the join_mesh() function.

Like in AP mode, you can also give the channel
to the join-mesh nl80211 command now.

Unlike AP mode, it picks a default channel if
none was given.

As libertas uses mesh mode interfaces but has
no join_mesh callback and we can't simply break
it, keep some compatibility code for that case
and configure the channel directly for it.

In the non-libertas case, where we store the
channel until join, allow setting it while the
interface is down.

685d12a192 cfg80211: disallow setting channel on WDS interfaces
If it worked (Felix says it doesn't right now), the
typical use-case for WDS interfaces would be to be
slaved to AP mode interfaces. Therefore, it isn't
necessary to set the channel on WDS interfaces. As
they don't support powersave or anything like that,
they also couldn't use a different channel anyway.

aa430da410 cfg80211: provide channel to start_ap function
Instead of setting the channel first and then
starting the AP, let cfg80211 store the channel
and provide it as one of the AP settings.

This means that now you have to set the channel
before you can start an AP interface, but since
hostapd/wpa_supplicant always do that we're OK
with this change.

Alternatively, it's now possible to give the
channel as an attribute to the start-ap nl80211
command, overriding any preset channel.

71ecfa1893 mac80211: clean up remain-on-channel on interface stop
When any interface goes down, it could be the one that we
were doing a remain-on-channel with. We therefore need to
cancel the remain-on-channel and flush the related work
structs so they don't run after the interface has been
removed or even destroyed.

It's also possible in this case that an off-channel SKB
was never transmitted, so free it if this is the case.
Note that this can also happen if the driver finishes
the off-channel period without ever starting it.

b8bacc187a mac80211: Fix Unreachable Mesh Station Problem when joining to another MBSS
Mesh station that joins an MBSS is reachable using mesh portal with 6
address frame by mesh stations from another MBSS if these two different
MBSSes are bridged. However, if the mesh station later moves into the
same MBSS of those mesh stations, it is unreachable by mesh stations
in the MBSS due to the mpp_paths table is not deleted. A quick fix
is to perform mesh_path_lookup, if it is available for the target
destination, mpp_path_lookup is not performed. When the mesh station
moves back to its original MBSS, the mesh_paths will be deleted once
expired. So, it will be reachable using mpp_path_lookup again.

add bug, which make possible to start a scan and never finish it, so

90ba9b1986 tcp: tcp_make_synack() can use alloc_skb()
There is no value using sock_wmalloc() in tcp_make_synack().

A listener socket only sends SYNACK packets, they are not queued in a
socket queue, only in Qdisc and device layers, so the number of in
flight packets is limited in these layers. We used sock_wmalloc() with

fff3269907 tcp: reflect SYN queue_mapping into SYNACK packets
While testing how linux behaves on SYNFLOOD attack on multiqueue device
(ixgbe), I found that SYNACK messages were dropped at Qdisc level
because we send them all on a single queue.

Obvious choice is to reflect incoming SYN packet @queue_mapping to
SYNACK packet.

Under stress, my machine could only send 25.000 SYNACK per second (for
200.000 incoming SYN per second). NIC : ixgbe with 16 rx/tx queues.

e9412c3708 genetlink: Build a generic netlink family module alias
Generic netlink searches for -type- formatted aliases when requesting a module to
fulfill a protocol request (i.e. net-pf-16-proto-16-type-<x>, where x is a type
value). However generic netlink protocols have no well defined type numbers,
they have string names. Modify genl_ctrl_getfamily to request an alias in the
format net-pf-16-proto-16-family-<x> instead, where x is a generic string, and
add a macro that builds on the previously added MODULE_ALIAS_NET_PF_PROTO_NAME
macro to allow modules to specifify those generic strings.

Note, l2tp previously hacked together an net-pf-16-proto-16-type-l2tp alias
using the MODULE_ALIAS macro, with these updates we can convert that to use the
PROTO_NAME macro.

3f13461939 memcg: decrement static keys at real destroy time
We call the destroy function when a cgroup starts to be removed, such as
by a rmdir event.

However, because of our reference counters, some objects are still
inflight. Right now, we are decrementing the static_keys at destroy()
time, meaning that if we get rid of the last static_key reference, some
objects will still have charges, but the code to properly uncharge them
won't be run.

This becomes a problem specially if it is ever enabled again, because now
new charges will be added to the staled charges making keeping it pretty
much impossible.

We just need to be careful with the static branch activation: since there
is no particular preferred order of their activation, we need to make sure
that we only start using it after all call sites are active. This is
achieved by having a per-memcg flag that is only updated after
static_key_slow_inc() returns. At this time, we are sure all sites are
active.

This is made per-memcg, not global, for a reason: it also has the effect
of making socket accounting more consistent. The first memcg to be
limited will trigger static_key() activation, therefore, accounting. But
all the others will then be accounted no matter what. After this patch,
only limited memcgs will have its sockets accounted.

[akpm@linux-foundation.org: move enum sock_flag_bits into sock.h,
                            document enum sock_flag_bits,

a0c6ffbcfe rds_rdma: don't assume infiniband device is PCI
RDS code assumes that the struct ib_device dma_device member, which is a
pointer, points to a struct device embedded in a struct pci_dev.

This is not the case for ehca, for example, which is a OF driver, and
makes dma_device point to a struct device embedded in a struct
platform_device.

This will make the system crash when rds_rdma is loaded in a system
with ehca, since it will try to access the bus member of a non-existent
struct pci_dev.

The only reason rds_rdma uses the struct pci_dev is to get the NUMA node
the device is attached to. Using dev_to_node for that is much better,
since it won't assume which bus the infiniband is attached to.

c51ce49735 l2tp: fix oops in L2TP IP sockets for connect() AF_UNSPEC case
An application may call connect() to disconnect a socket using an
address with family AF_UNSPEC. The L2TP IP sockets were not handling
this case when the socket is not bound and an attempt to connect()
using AF_UNSPEC in such cases would result in an oops. This patch
addresses the problem by protecting the sk_prot->disconnect() call
against trying to unhash the socket before it is bound.

The L2TP IPv4 and IPv6 sockets have the same problem. Both are fixed
by this patch.

The patch also adds more checks that the sockaddr supplied to bind()
and connect() calls is valid.

53f2c4a8fd NFS client updates for Linux 3.5
New features include:
 - Rewrite the O_DIRECT code so that it can share the same coalescing and
pNFS functionality as the page cache code.
 - Allow the server to provide hints as to when we should use pNFS, and
when it is more efficient to read and write through the metadata
   server.
 - NFS cache consistency updates:
   - Use the ctime to emulate a change attribute for NFSv2/v3 so that
all NFS versions can share the same cache management code.
   - New cache management code will only look at the change attribute
and size attribute when deciding whether or not our cached data
     is still valid or not.
   - Don't request NFSv4 post-op attributes on writes in cases such as
O_DIRECT, where we don't care about data cache consistency, or
when we have a write delegation, and know that our cache is
     still consistent.
   - Don't request NFSv4 post-op attributes on operations such as
COMMIT, where there are no expected metadata updates.
   - Don't request NFSv4 directory post-op attributes in cases where
the operations themselves already return change attribute updates:
i.e. operations such as OPEN, CREATE, REMOVE, LINK and RENAME.
 - Speed up 'ls' and friends by using READDIR rather than READDIRPLUS
if we detect no attempts to lookup filenames.
 - Improve the code sharing between NFSv2/v3 and v4 mounts
 - NFSv4.1 state management efficiency improvements
 - More patches in preparation for NFSv4/v4.1 migration functionality.

0c1833797a ipv6: fix incorrect ipsec fragment
Since commit ad0081e43a
"ipv6: Fragment locally generated tunnel-mode IPSec6 packets as needed"
the fragment of packets is incorrect.
because tunnel mode needs IPsec headers and trailer for all fragments,
while on transport mode it is sufficient to add the headers to the
first fragment and the trailer to the last.

so modify mtu and maxfraglen base on ipsec mode and if fragment is first
or last.

with my test,it work well(every fragment's size is the mtu)
and does not trigger slow fragment path.

Changes from v1:
though optimization, mtu_prev and maxfraglen_prev can be delete.
replace xfrm mode codes with dst_entry's new frag DST_XFRM_TUNNEL.
add fuction ip6_append_data_mtu to make codes clearer.

91657eafb6 xfrm: take net hdr len into account for esp payload size calculation
Corrects the function that determines the esp payload size. The calculations
done in esp{4,6}_get_mtu() lead to overlength frames in transport mode for
certain mtu values and suboptimal frames for others.

According to what is done, mainly in esp{,6}_output() and tcp_mtu_to_mss(),
net_header_len must be taken into account before doing the alignment
calculation.

992e68bf2e mac80211: Fix race in checking AP status by sending null frame
mac80211 tries to verify the existence of the current AP by
probing or sending a NULL frame in function
ieee80211_mgd_probe_ap_send. It 1st sends a null frame to the AP,
increments probe_send_count and waits for the ACK to the NULL
frame for a finite duration of time. At times, it happens that by
the time mac80211 gets to increment probe_send_count, the ACK for
the NULL frame transmitted has already been processed. This leads
to a race condition where mac80211 times out waiting for the ACK
for the NULL frame causing unnecessary disconnection with the AP.

1ca7ee3063 tcp: take care of overlaps in tcp_try_coalesce()
Sergio Correia reported following warning :

WARNING: at net/ipv4/tcp.c:1301 tcp_cleanup_rbuf+0x4f/0x110()

WARN(skb && !before(tp->copied_seq, TCP_SKB_CB(skb)->end_seq),
"cleanup rbuf bug: copied %X seq %X rcvnxt %X\n",
     tp->copied_seq, TCP_SKB_CB(skb)->end_seq, tp->rcv_nxt);

It appears TCP coalescing, and more specifically commit b081f85c29
(net: implement tcp coalescing in tcp_queue_rcv()) should take care of
possible segment overlaps in receive queue. This was properly done in
the case of out_or_order_queue by the caller.

For example, segment at tail of queue have sequence 1000-2000, and we
add a segment with sequence 1500-2500.
This can happen in case of retransmits.

In this case, just don't do the coalescing.

31fe62b958 mm: add a low limit to alloc_large_system_hash
UDP stack needs a minimum hash size value for proper operation and also
uses alloc_large_system_hash() for proper NUMA distribution of its hash
tables and automatic sizing depending on available system memory.

On some low memory situations, udp_table_init() must ignore the
alloc_large_system_hash() result and reallocs a bigger memory area.

As we cannot easily free old hash table, we leak it and kmemleak can
issue a warning.

This patch adds a low limit parameter to alloc_large_system_hash() to
solve this problem.

We then specify UDP_HTABLE_SIZE_MIN for UDP/UDPLite hash table
allocation.

644473e9c6 Merge branch 'for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/ebiederm/user-namespace
Pull user namespace enhancements from Eric Biederman:
"This is a course correction for the user namespace, so that we can
reach an inexpensive, maintainable, and reasonably complete
  implementation.

  Highlights:
   - Config guards make it impossible to enable the user namespace and
code that has not been converted to be user namespace safe.

   - Use of the new kuid_t type ensures the if you somehow get past the
config guards the kernel will encounter type errors if you enable
user namespaces and attempt to compile in code whose permission
checks have not been updated to be user namespace safe.

   - All uids from child user namespaces are mapped into the initial
user namespace before they are processed. Removing the need to add
an additional check to see if the user namespace of the compared
     uids remains the same.

   - With the user namespaces compiled out the performance is as good or
     better than it is today.

   - For most operations absolutely nothing changes performance or
operationally with the user namespace enabled.

   - The worst case performance I could come up with was timing 1
billion cache cold stat operations with the user namespace code
enabled. This went from 156s to 164s on my laptop (or 156ns to
     164ns per stat operation).

   - (uid_t)-1 and (gid_t)-1 are reserved as an internal error value.
Most uid/gid setting system calls treat these value specially
anyway so attempting to use -1 as a uid would likely cause
     entertaining failures in userspace.

   - If setuid is called with a uid that can not be mapped setuid fails.
I have looked at sendmail, login, ssh and every other program I
could think of that would call setuid and they all check for and
handle the case where setuid fails.

   - If stat or a similar system call is called from a context in which
we can not map a uid we lie and return overflowuid. The LFS
experience suggests not lying and returning an error code might be
better, but the historical precedent with uids is different and I
can not think of anything that would break by lying about a uid we
     can't map.

   - Capabilities are localized to the current user namespace making it
safe to give the initial user in a user namespace all capabilities.

My git tree covers all of the modifications needed to convert the core
kernel and enough changes to make a system bootable to runlevel 1."

"Here's the big TTY/serial driver pull request for the 3.5-rc1 merge
  window.

Nothing major in here, just lots of incremental changes from Alan and
Jiri reworking some tty core things to behave better and to get a more
solid grasp on some of the nasty tty locking issues.

There are a few tty and serial driver updates in here as well.

All of this has been in the linux-next releases for a while with no
  problems.

6bd9adbdf9 libceph: fix pg_temp updates
Usually, we are adding pg_temp entries or removing them. Occasionally they
update. In that case, osdmap_apply_incremental() was failing because the

Fix by removing the existing entry before inserting a new one.

991ad9ec39 9p: disconnect channel when PCI device is removed
When a virtio_9p pci device is being removed, we should close down any
active channels and free up resources, we're not supposed to BUG() if there's
still an open channel since it's a valid case when removing the PCI device.

Otherwise, removing the PCI device with an open channel would cause the
following BUG():

e47b65b032 net: drop NET dependency from HAVE_BPF_JIT
There is no point having the NET dependency on the select target, as it
forces all users to depend on NET to tell they support BPF_JIT. Move
the config option to the bottom of the file - this could be a nice place
also for future "selectable" config symbols.

Fix up all users to drop the dependency on NET now that it is not
required to supress warnings for non-NET builds.

cb62ab71fe Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/net-next
Pull networking changes from David Miller:

 1) Get rid of the error prone NLA_PUT*() macros that used an embedded
    goto.

 2) Kill off the token-ring and MCA networking drivers, from Paul
    Gortmaker.

 3) Reduce high-order allocations made by datagram AF_UNIX sockets, from
    Eric Dumazet.

 4) Add PTP hardware clock support to IGB and IXGBE, from Richard
    Cochran and Jacob Keller.

 5) Allow users to query timestamping capabilities of a card via
    ethtool, from Richard Cochran.

 6) Add loadbalance mode to the teaming driver, from Jiri Pirko. Part
of this is that we can now have BPF filters not attached to sockets,
and the loadbalancing function is calculated using one.

 7) Francois Romieu went through the network drivers removing gratuitous
uses of netdev->base_addr, perhaps some day we can remove it
completely but it's used for ISA probing still.

 8) Add a BPF JIT for sparc. I know, who cares, right? :-)

 9) Move networking sysctl registry away from using the compatability
mode interfaces in the sysctl code. From Eric W Biederman.

10) Pavel Emelyanov added a way to save and restore TCP socket state via
    TCP_REPAIR, TCP_REPAIR_QUEUE, and TCP_QUEUE_SEQ socket options as
well as a way to forcefully bind a socket to a port via the
    sk->sk_reuse value SK_FORCE_REUSE.  There is also a
TCP_REPAIR_OPTIONS which allows to reinstante the TCP options
    enabled on the connection.

11) Several enhancements from Eric Dumazet that, in particular, can
enhance splice performance on TCP sockets significantly.

     a) Reset the offset of the per-socket sendmsg page when we know
we're the only use of the page in linear_to_page().

     b) Add facilities such that skb->data can be backed a page rather
than SLAB kmalloc'd memory. In particular devices which were
receiving into linear RX buffers can now end up providing paged
        data.

The big result is that code like splice and GRO do not have to copy
    any more.

12) Allow a pure sender to more gracefully handle ACK backlogs in TCP.
What can happen at high rates is that the sender hasn't grown his
receive buffer limits at all (he's not receiving data so really
doesn't need to), but the non-data ACKs consume receive buffer
    space.

sk_add_backlog() is too aggressive in dropping frames in this case,
so relax it's requirements by using the receive buffer plus the send
buffer limit as the backlog limit instead of just the former.

    Also from Eric Dumazet.

13) Add ipv6 support to L2TP, from Benjamin LaHaise, James Chapman, and
    Chris Elston.

14) Implement TCP early retransmit (RFC 5827), from Yuchung Cheng.
Basically, we can start fast retransmit before hiting the dupack
    threshold under certain conditions.

15) New CODEL active queue management packet scheduler, from Eric
Dumazet based upon initial work by Dave Taht.

Basically, the big feature is that packets are dropped (or ECN bits
are set) based upon how long packets live in the queue, rather than
the queue length (which is what RED uses).

The following tightens the padding check from commit

* Catch the corner case of when only padding is present in the

bad43ca832 net: introduce skb_try_coalesce()
Move tcp_try_coalesce() protocol independent part to
skb_try_coalesce().

skb_try_coalesce() can be used in IPv4 defrag and IPv6 reassembly,
to build optimized skbs (less sk_buff, and possibly less 'headers')

skb_try_coalesce() is zero copy, unless the copy can fit in destination
header (its a rare case)

kfree_skb_partial() is also moved to net/core/skbuff.c and exported,
because IPv6 will need it in patch (ipv6: use skb coalescing in
reassembly).

1afeaf5c29 sunrpc: fix loss of task->tk_status after rpc_delay call in xprt_alloc_slot
xprt_alloc_slot will call rpc_delay() to make the task wait a bit before
retrying when it gets back an -ENOMEM error from xprt_dynamic_alloc_slot.
The problem is that rpc_delay will clear the task->tk_status, causing
call_reserveresult to abort the task.

The solution is simply to let call_reserveresult handle the ENOMEM error
directly.

a34a101e1e ipv6: disable GSO on sockets hitting dst_allfrag
If the allfrag feature has been set on a host route (due to an ICMPv6
Packet Too Big received indicating a MTU of less than 1280), we hit a
very slow behavior in TCP stack, because all big packets are dropped and
only a retransmit timer is able to push one MSS frame every 200 ms.

One way to handle this is to disable GSO on the socket the first time a
super packet is dropped. Adding a specific dst_allfrag() in the fast
path is probably overkill since the dst_allfrag() case almost never
happen.

Result on netperf TCP_STREAM, one flow :

Before : 60 kbit/sec
After : 1.6 Gbit/sec

72e843bb09 ipv6: ip6_fragment() should check CHECKSUM_PARTIAL
Quoting Tore Anderson from :

If the allfrag feature has been set on a host route (due to an ICMPv6
Packet Too Big received indicating a MTU of less than 1280),
TCP SYN/ACK packets to that destination appears to get an incorrect
TCP checksum. This in turn means they are thrown away as invalid.

In the case of an IPv4 client behind a link with a MTU of less than
1260, accessing an IPv6 server through a stateless translator,
this means that the client can only download a single large file
from the server, because once it is in the server's routing cache
with the allfrag feature set, new TCP connections can no longer
be established.

</endquote>

It appears ip6_fragment() doesn't handle CHECKSUM_PARTIAL properly.

As network drivers are not prepared to fetch correct transport header, a
safe fix is to call skb_checksum_help() before fragmenting packet.

35f9f8a09e libceph: avoid unregistering osd request when not registered
There is a race between two __unregister_request() callers: the
reply path and the ceph_osdc_wait_request(). If we get a reply
*and* the timeout expires at roughly the same time, both callers
will try to unregister the request, and the second one will do bad
things.

Simply check if the request is still already unregistered; if so,
return immediately and do nothing.

3da54776e2 ceph: add auth buf in prepare_write_connect()
Move the addition of the authorizer buffer to a connection's
out_kvec out of get_connect_authorizer() and into its caller. This
way, the caller--prepare_write_connect()--can avoid adding the
connect header to out_kvec before it has been fully initialized.

Prior to this patch, it was possible for a connect header to be
sent over the wire before the authorizer protocol or buffer length
fields were initialized. An authorizer buffer associated with that
header could also be queued to send only after the connection header
that describes it was on the wire.

6f532612cc net: introduce netdev_alloc_frag()
Fix two issues introduced in commit a1c7fff7e1
( net: netdev_alloc_skb() use build_skb() )

- Must be IRQ safe (non NAPI drivers can use it)
- Must not leak the frag if build_skb() fails to allocate sk_buff

This patch introduces netdev_alloc_frag() for drivers willing to
use build_skb() instead of __netdev_alloc_skb() variants.

Factorize code so that :
__dev_alloc_skb() is a wrapper around __netdev_alloc_skb(), and
dev_alloc_skb() a wrapper around netdev_alloc_skb()

Use __GFP_COLD flag.

Almost all network drivers now benefit from skb->head_frag
infrastructure.

bad115cfe5 tcp: do_tcp_sendpages() must try to push data out on oom conditions
Since recent changes on TCP splicing (starting with commits 2f533844
"tcp: allow splice() to build full TSO packets" and 35f9c09f "tcp:
tcp_sendpages() should call tcp_push() once"), I started seeing
massive stalls when forwarding traffic between two sockets using
splice() when pipe buffers were larger than socket buffers.

Latest changes (net: netdev_alloc_skb() use build_skb()) made the
problem even more apparent.

The reason seems to be that if do_tcp_sendpages() fails on out of memory
condition without being able to send at least one byte, tcp_push() is not
called and the buffers cannot be flushed.

After applying the attached patch, I cannot reproduce the stalls at all
and the data rate it perfectly stable and steady under any condition
which previously caused the problem to be permanent.

The issue seems to have been there since before the kernel migrated to
git, which makes me think that the stalls I occasionally experienced
with tux during stress-tests years ago were probably related to the
same issue.

This issue was first encountered on 3.0.31 and 3.2.17, so please backport
to -stable.

a1c7fff7e1 net: netdev_alloc_skb() use build_skb()
netdev_alloc_skb() is used by networks driver in their RX path to
allocate an skb to receive an incoming frame.

With recent skb->head_frag infrastructure, it makes sense to change
netdev_alloc_skb() to use build_skb() and a frag allocator.

This permits a zero copy splice(socket->pipe), and better GRO or TCP
