d48f411c10 mfd: Add new mfd device for TPS65217
The TPS65217 chip is a power management IC for Portable Navigation Systems
and Tablet Computing devices. It contains the following components:

- Regulators
- White LED
- USB battery charger

This patch adds support for tps65217 mfd device. At this time only
the regulator functionality is made available.

280ad7fda5 mfd: twl-core: Add IRQ_DOMAIN dependency
TWL4030 depends on IRQ_DOMAIN support, so this patch selects it in Kconfig.
It used to be that CONFIG_IRQ_DOMAIN must only be selected by the architecture,
but recent cleanups have fixed it so that it is safe to select from anywhere.

964dba2834 devicetree: Add empty of_platform_populate() for !CONFIG_OF_ADDRESS (sparc)
Sparc has its own helpers for translating address ranges when the device
tree is parsed at boot time, and it isn't able to use of_platform_populate().
However, there are some device drivers that want to use that function on
other DT enabled platforms (ie. TWL4030). This patch adds an empty
of_platform_populate() implementation that returns an error when
CONFIG_OF_ADDRESS is not selected.

a3364409c4 MFD: ucb1x00: convert to use genirq
Convert the ucb1x00 driver to use genirq's interrupt services, rather

This prevents the UCB1x00 core driver from being built as a module,

ed442b6798 MFD: ucb1x00-core: add missing ucb1x00_enable()/ucb1x00_disable()
ucb1x00_enable() and ucb1x00_disable() are used for power saving on the
SIB interface, allowing the host supplied clock to be disabled when not
required. We require drivers which access the ucb1x00 to ensure that
they have enabled the clock prior to accessing the device, and they
should disable it once they're done.

As we don't expect gpiolib users to be aware of this detail, we must
make these calls in the gpiolib interfaces. Add them.

Also add them to the resume method, which needs to re-establish the
GPIO pin settings.

b14a29982a Merge branch 'omap-fixes-warnings' of git://git.linaro.org/people/rmk/linux-arm
This set of changes are fixing various section mismatch warnings which
look to be completely valid. Primerily, those which are fixed are those
which can cause oopses by manipulation of driver binding via sysfs. For
example: calling code marked __init from driver probe __devinit
functions.

Some of these changes will be reworked at the next merge window when the
underlying reasons are sorted out. In the mean time, I think it's
important to have this fixed for correctness.

Also included in this set are fixes to various error messages in OMAP -
including making them gramatically correct, fixing a few spelling
errors, and more importantly, making them greppable by unwrapping them.

Tony Lindgren has acked all these patches, put them out for testing a
week ago, and I've tested them on the platforms I have.

6252547b8a ARM: omap: fix broken twl-core dependencies and ifdefs
In commit aeb5032b3f, a dependency on IRQ_DOMAIN was added, which causes
regressions on previously working setups: a previously working non-DT
kernel configuration now loses its PMIC support. The lack of PMIC
support in turn causes the loss of other functionality the kernel had.

This dependency was added because the driver now registers its
interrupts with the IRQ domain code, presumably to prevent a build error.

The result is that OMAP3 oopses in the vp.c code (fixed by a previous
commit) due to the lack of PMIC support.

However, even with IRQ_DOMAIN enabled, the driver oopses:

<4>---[ end trace 1b75b31a2719ed1c ]---

This happens because we try to register an IRQ domain with a NULL ops
structure, and the first thing irq_domain_add() does is try to
dereference this ops structure.

So, fix the problem by getting rid of the incorrect OF_IRQ ifdef and
wrapping the IRQ domain bits of the driver with an IRQ_DOMAIN ifdef
instead.

Patch taken from af9081ae64 (ARM: sa1100: Refactor mcp-sa11x0 to use

applied.

We can safely do this now that we have sanitized host removal; the
original patch had use-after-free bugs in the removal code. Not only
that, but there was no checking of the ioremap() return.

The final change over Jochen's patch is that we wrap the base pointer
selection inside the various register indexes, which reduces the
possibility of the wrong register index being used.

30816ac049 MFD: mcp-core: sanitize host creation/removal
host_unregister() gives us no chance between removing the device
and the mcp data structure being freed to access the data inbetween,
which drivers may need to do if they need to iounmap() pointers in
their private data structures.

Therefore, re-jig the interfaces, which are now, on creation:

	mcp = mcp_host_alloc()
	if (mcp) {
		ret = mcp_host_add(mcp, data);

		if (!ret)
			mcp_host_free(mcp);
	}

and on removal:

	mcp_host_del(mcp);
	... access mcp ...
	mcp_host_free(mcp);

The free does the final put_device() on the struct device as one would
expect.

0af5e4c36e MFD: ucb1x00-ts: fix resume failure
If the ucb1x00 touchscreen is resumed while the touchscreen is being
touched, the main thread stops responding. This occurs because two
things happen:

1. When we suspended, we were woken up, and executed the loop.
   Finding that the touchscreen was not pressed, we prepare to
   schedule for a maximum timeout, before being stopped in
   try_to_freeze().

2. an irq occurs, we disable the irq, and mark it as disabled,
   and wake the thread. This wake occurs while the thread is
   still within __refrigerator()

3. The thread is unfrozen, and __refrigerator() sets the threads
   state back to INTERRUPTIBLE.

We then drop into schedule_timeout() with an infinite timeout and the
IRQ disabled. This prevents any further screen touches activating
the thread.

Fix this by using kthread_freezable_should_stop() which handles the
freezing issues for us outside of the hotspot where the task state
matters. Include a flag to ignore the touchscreen until it is
released to avoid sending unintended data to the application.

65f2e753f1 Revert "ARM: sa11x0: Implement autoloading of codec and codec pdata for mcp bus."
This reverts commit 5dd7bf59e0.

Conflicts:

	scripts/mod/file2alias.c

This change is wrong on many levels. First and foremost, it causes a
regression. On boot on Assabet, which this patch gives a codec id of
'ucb1x00', it gives:

	ucb1x00 ID not found: 1005

0x1005 is a valid ID for the UCB1300 device.

Secondly, this patch is way over the top in terms of complexity. The
only device which has been seen to be connected with this MCP code is
the UCB1x00 (UCB1200, UCB1300 etc) devices, and they all use the same
driver. Adding a match table, requiring the codec string to match the
hardware ID read out of the ID register, etc is completely over the top
when we can just read the hardware ID register.

5bdf7411bc mfd: Fix 88pm860x test bank i2c interface bug
There are two banks in 88pm8607. One is the normal bank, and the other
one is the test bank, it means it have the same register address in the
normal bank and test bank seperately.
For test bank register, it needs a special I2C sequence to acess as below,
    Touching to 0xFA address
    Touching to 0xFB address
    Touching to 0xFF address
    Accessing bank register
    Touching to 0xFE address
    Touching to 0xFC address
This sequence can't be interrupted. It means that we can't use
i2c_transfef() to implement touching 0xFA address. Otherwise, other i2c
operation may be inserted into 0xFA and 0xFB operation since the lock of
i2c_adapter is already released.
So for test bank we implemented specific i2c read/write operation;

c1e61bcf82 mfd: Use request_threaded_irq for twl4030-irq instead of irq_set_chained_handler
irq_set_chained_handler sets 'desc->handle_irq'.
However this irq is called by handle_nested_irq from handle_twl4030_pih,

So the handled set with irq_set_chained_handler is never called.

a3462490b4 mfd: Test for jack detection when deciding if wm8994 should suspend
The jack detection on WM1811 is often required during system suspend, add
it as another check when deciding if we should suspend.

7ed5849c28 mfd: Mark WM1811 GPIO6 register volatile for later revisions
For later chip revisions the WM1811 GPIO6 register is always volatile so
store the device revision when initialising the driver and then check at
runtime if we're running on a newer device.

346978980a mfd: Initialise WM8994 register cache after reading chip ID registers
The different devices handled by the WM8994 can be distinguished using
their ID registers so we don't need to rely on the user having registered
the device correctly. Instead do the initial regmap setup with a minimal
configuration only supporting physical I/O and then configure the cache
once we have identified the device.

c3f1386171 mfd: Enable register cache for wm8994 devices
As part of this we provide information about the registers that exist in
the device to the regmap core, drop the small amount of cache that the
core had been using and let regmap do the sync.

01ed260f22 mfd: Add wm8994 register access and default information
Describe the register map to the regmap core so that we can use its
diagnostic features and cache support. This is split out from the patch
using it due to the size so that the actual code change is a bit clearer.

As the various devices are supersets of each other the access maps are
built up by layering the functions on top of each other, though the
interface for specifying the register defaults isn't currently amenable
to this.
