11b84c5857 MMC highlights for 3.8:
Core:
  - Expose access to the eMMC RPMB ("Replay Protected Memory Block") area
by extending the existing mmc_block ioctl.
  - Add SDIO powered-suspend DT properties to the core MMC DT binding.
  - Add no-1-8-v DT flag for boards where the SD controller reports that it
supports 1.8V but the board itself has no way to switch to 1.8V.
  - More work on switching to 1.8V UHS support using a vqmmc regulator.
  - Fix up a case where the slot-gpio helper may fail to reset the host
controller properly if a card was removed during a transfer.
  - Fix several cases where a broken device could cause an infinite loop
while we wait for a register to update.

 Drivers:
  - at91-mci: Remove obsolete driver, atmel-mci handles these devices now.
  - sdhci-dove: Allow using GPIOs for card-detect notifications.
  - sdhci-esdhc: Fix for recovering from ADMA errors on broken silicon.
  - sdhci-s3c: Add pinctrl support.
  - wmt-sdmmc: New driver for WonderMedia SD/MMC controllers.

d85c8a6ab2 MAINTAINERS: i2c: 7 years, this is it
I have been maintaining the i2c subsystem for 7 years now, it's about
time to let someone else take over. Just before I leave, I would like
to thank several individuals who made this possible at all:

* Greg Kroah-Hartman, for his faith in my potential subsystem
maintainer skills. Greg, I hope I met your expectations.
* Late David Brownell, for helping me convert the i2c subsystem to the
standard device driver model. Rest in peace David, we're missing you.
* Ben Dooks, for stepping in when I asked for someone to take care of
the huge flow of new i2c adapter drivers for embedded systems.
* Wolfram Sang, for joining the crew when it became clear that there
was more review work than Ben and myself could deal with.

I hope I did not forget anyone, please forgive me if I did.

Another big thank is due to Wolfram again, who quickly proposed to
take over as the main i2c subsystem maintainer. This will allow for a
smooth and fast transition.

Note that I will keep maintaining all I2C/SMBus controller drivers for
PC systems as well as a few others. I am hereby updating MAINTAINERS
accordingly. I'll also keep maintaining user-space i2c-tools.

Separate patches from Marek Szyprowski <m.szyprowski@samsung.com>:

Commit e9da6e9905 ("ARM: dma-mapping: remove custom consistent dma

consistent dma memory size is not longer required. This patch series
cleans sub-architecture platform code to remove all calls to the
obsolated init_consistent_dma_size() function and finally removes the
init_consistent_dma_size() stub itself.

eb86ec51f8 [media] firedtv: add MAINTAINERS entry
There is currently discussion to add MAINTAINERS records for media
drivers that don't have one yet, possibly with 'orphan' or 'odd fixes'
status. Here is a proper entry for the firedtv driver (for 1394
attached DVB STBs and 1394 attached DVB cards from Digital Everywhere).

The L: linux-media and T: linux-media.git lines in this entry are
redundant to what scripts/get_maintainer.pl would show automatically but
I added them for folks who read MAINTAINERS directly. The "(firedtv)"
string is for those folks as well if they look for driver name rather
than file path.

The F: drivers/media/firewire/ pattern and the "FireWire media drivers"
title are currently synonymous with firedtv. If more drivers get added
there, this can be revisited.

I don't have documentation or DVB-S2 devices to test, but I have DVB-C
and DVB-T devices for testing.

This driver is for the AR5523 chipset from Atheros. It was created
in 2007 by Christoph Hellwig but it was never finished. I found it a
couple of months ago and after some polishing it's working pretty
fine.

The driver was written with the FreeBSD driver (uath) as reference,
which was written with the reverse-engineered windows driver as
reference, hence the feature set is very limited. Station mode
only, no HW crypto offload.

Linus Torvalds
42bf3e27e8 USB fixes for 3.7-rc2
Here are the USB patches against your 3.7-rc1 tree.

There are the usual UABI header file movements, and we finally are now
able to remove the dbg() macro that is over 15 years old (that had to
wait for after some other trees got merged into yours during the big
 3.7-rc1 merge window.)

Other than that, nothing major, just a number of bugfixes and new device
ids. It turns out that almost all of the usb-serial drivers had bugs in
how they were handling their internal data, leaking memory, hence all of
 those fixups.

Pull USB fixes from Greg Kroah-Hartman:
"Here are the USB patches against your 3.7-rc1 tree.

There are the usual UABI header file movements, and we finally are now
able to remove the dbg() macro that is over 15 years old (that had to
wait for after some other trees got merged into yours during the big
  3.7-rc1 merge window.)

Other than that, nothing major, just a number of bugfixes and new
device ids. It turns out that almost all of the usb-serial drivers
had bugs in how they were handling their internal data, leaking
memory, hence all of those fixups.

3995eb8205 ARM: imx: merge plat-mxc into mach-imx
It's really unnecessary to have plat-mxc, and let's merge it into
mach-imx. It's pretty much just a bunch of file renaming and
Kconfig/Makefile merge.

To make the change less invasive, we keep using Kconfig symbol
CONFIG_ARCH_MXC for mach-imx sub-architecture.
