a9ad965ea9 [PATCH] IA64: kprobe invalidate icache of jump buffer
Kprobe inserts breakpoint instruction in probepoint and then jumps to
instruction slot when breakpoint is hit, the instruction slot icache must
be consistent with dcache. Here is the patch which invalidates instruction
slot icache area.

Without this patch, in some machines there will be fault when executing
instruction slot where icache content is inconsistent with dcache.

e6f47f978b [PATCH] Notify page fault call chain
With this patch Kprobes now registers for page fault notifications only when
their is an active probe registered. Once all the active probes are
unregistered their is no need to be notified of page faults and kprobes
unregisters itself from the page fault notifications. Hence we will have ZERO
side effects when no probes are active.

0498b63504 [PATCH] kprobes: fix build breakage
The following patch (against 2.6.15-rc5-mm3) fixes a kprobes build break
due to changes introduced in the kprobe locking in 2.6.15-rc5-mm3. In
addition, the patch reverts back the open-coding of kprobe_mutex.

e597c2984c [PATCH] kprobes: arch_remove_kprobe
Currently arch_remove_kprobes() is only implemented/required for x86_64 and
powerpc. All other architecture like IA64, i386 and sparc64 implementes a
dummy function which is being called from arch independent kprobes.c file.

This patch removes the dummy functions and replaces it with
#define arch_remove_kprobe(p, s)	do { } while(0)

41dead49cc [PATCH] kprobes: cleanup include/asm/kprobes.h
The arch specific kprobes.h files never gets included when CONFIG_KPROBES is
turned off. Hence check for CONFIG_KPROBES is not appropriate here in this
arch specific kprobes.h files.

Also the below defined function kprobes_exception_notify() is not needed when
CONFIG_KPROBES is off.

Compile tested for both CONFIG_KPROBES=y and N.

2d14e39da8 [PATCH] kprobes: enable funcions only for required arch
Kernel/kprobes.c defines get_insn_slot() and free_insn_slot() which are
currently required _only_ for x86_64 and powerpc (which has no-exec support).

FYI, get{free}_insn_slot() functions manages the memory page which is mapped
as executable, required for instruction emulation.

This patch moves those two functions under __ARCH_WANT_KPROBES_INSN_SLOT and
defines __ARCH_WANT_KPROBES_INSN_SLOT in arch specific kprobes.h file.

88ced03149 [PATCH] powerpc: sanitize header files for user space includes
include/asm-ppc/ had #ifdef __KERNEL__ in all header files that
are not meant for use by user space, include/asm-powerpc does
not have this yet.

This patch gets us a lot closer there. There are a few cases
where I was not sure, so I left them out. I have verified
that no CONFIG_* symbols are used outside of __KERNEL__
any more and that there are no obvious compile errors when
including any of the headers in user space libraries.

0dc036c91a [PATCH] Kprobes: Track kprobe on a per_cpu basis - ppc64 changes
PPC64 changes to track kprobe execution on a per-cpu basis. We now track the
kprobe state machine independently on each cpu using an arch specific kprobe
control block.

bbeb3f4c55 powerpc: clean up after powermac build merge
Complete moving arch/ppc64/kernel/mpic.h,
        include/asm-ppc/reg.h, include/asm-ppc64/kdebug.h
	        and include/asm-ppc64/kprobes.h
Add arch/powerpc/platforms/Makefile and use it from
	arch/powerpc/Makefile
Introduce OLDARCH temporarily so we can point back to
	the originating architecture

14cf11af6c powerpc: Merge enough to start building in arch/powerpc.
This creates the directory structure under arch/powerpc and a bunch
of Kconfig files. It does a first-cut merge of arch/powerpc/mm,
arch/powerpc/lib and arch/powerpc/platforms/powermac. This is enough
to build a 32-bit powermac kernel with ARCH=powerpc.

For now we are getting some unmerged files from arch/ppc/kernel and
arch/ppc/syslib, or arch/ppc64/kernel. This makes some minor changes
to files in those directories and files outside arch/powerpc.

The boot directory is still not merged. That's going to be interesting.
