5a27e86bab sfc: Use fixed-size buffers for MCDI NVRAM requests
The low-level MCDI code always uses 32-bit MMIO operations, and
callers must pad input and output buffers to multiples of 4 bytes.
The MCDI NVRAM functions are not doing this. Also, their buffers are
declared as variable-length arrays with no explicit maximum length.

Switch to a fixed buffer size based on the chunk size used by the
MTD driver (which is a multiple of 4).

906bb26c06 sfc: Update version, copyright dates, authors
This driver has been mostly rewritten since Michael Brown's initial
work, so swap the order of the authors.

8880f4ec21 sfc: Add support for SFC9000 family (2)
This integrates support for the SFC9000 family of 10G Ethernet
controllers and LAN-on-motherboard chips, starting with the SFL9021
'Siena' and SFC9020 'Bethpage'.

Credit for this code is largely due to my colleagues at Solarflare:

7688483568 sfc: Extend MTD driver for use with new NICs
In new NICs flash is managed by firmware and we will use high-level
operations on partitions rather than direct SPI commands. Add support
for multiple MTD partitions per flash device and remove the direct
link between MTD and SPI devices. Maintain a list of MTD partitions
in struct efx_nic.

ff2ef9021e drivers/net/sfc: fix sparse warnings: Should it be static?
Impact: Include the header file. If CONFIG_SFC_MTD is not defined
then the functions 'efx_mtd_remove' and 'efx_mtd_rename' are defined
'static inline' with an empty function body in the header file, but
the the whole file mtd.c is not built in this case.

Fix this sparse warnings:
drivers/net/sfc/mtd.c:204:6: warning: symbol 'efx_mtd_remove' was not declared. Should it be static?
drivers/net/sfc/mtd.c:221:6: warning: symbol 'efx_mtd_rename' was not declared. Should it be static?
drivers/net/sfc/mtd.c:230:5: warning: symbol 'efx_mtd_probe' was not declared. Should it be static?

be4ea89c8d sfc: Clean up waits for flash/EEPROM operations
Make falcon_spi_wait() ignore the write timer - it is only relevant to
write commands, it only works for the device that contains VPD, and it
might not be initialised properly at all.

Rename falcon_spi_fast_wait() to falcon_spi_wait_write(), reflecting
its use, and make it wait up to 10 ms (not 1 ms) since buffered writes
to EEPROM may take this long to complete.

Make both wait functions sleep instead of busy-waiting.

Replace wait for command completion at top of falcon_spi_cmd() with a
single poll; no command should be running when the function starts.

Correct some comments.

f41507245e sfc: Expose flash region storing boot code as MTD
The boot code that appears as a PCI expansion ROM on the SFC4000 is
stored in flash. Expose this as a standard MTD device to allow for
in-place upgrades.
