fba99fa38b swiotlb: fix wrong panic
swiotlb's map_page wrongly calls panic() when it can't find a buffer fit
for device's dma mask.  It should return an error instead.

Devices with an odd dma mask (i.e.  under 4G) like b44 network card hit
this bug (the system crashes):

If swiotlb returns an error, b44 driver can use the own bouncing
mechanism.

a879bf582d mm: grab rcu read lock in move_pages()
The move_pages() usage of find_task_by_vpid() requires rcu_read_lock() to
prevent free_pid() from reclaiming the pid.

Without this patch, RCU warnings are printed in v2.6.38-rc4 move_pages()
with:

  CONFIG_LOCKUP_DETECTOR=y
  CONFIG_PREEMPT=y
  CONFIG_LOCKDEP=y
  CONFIG_PROVE_LOCKING=y
  CONFIG_PROVE_RCU=y

Previously, migrate_pages() went through a similar transformation
replacing usage of tasklist_lock with rcu read lock:

22bacca48a epoll: prevent creating circular epoll structures
In several places, an epoll fd can call another file's ->f_op->poll()
method with ep->mtx held.  This is in general unsafe, because that other
file could itself be an epoll fd that contains the original epoll fd.

The code defends against this possibility in its own ->poll() method using
ep_call_nested, but there are several other unsafe calls to ->poll
elsewhere that can be made to deadlock.  For example, the following simple
program causes the call in ep_insert recursively call the original fd's
->poll, leading to deadlock:

On insertion, check whether the inserted file is itself a struct epoll,
and if so, do a recursive walk to detect whether inserting this file would
create a loop of epoll structures, which could lead to deadlock.

51c404b2c5 omap4: prcm: Fix the CPUx clockdomain offsets
CPU0 and CPU1 clockdomain is at the offset of 0x18 from the LPRM base.
The header file has set it wrongly to 0x0. Offset 0x0 is for CPUx power
domain control register

Fix the same.

The autogen scripts is fixed thanks to Benoit Cousson

With the old value, the clockdomain code would access the
*_PWRSTCTRL.POWERSTATE field when it thought it was accessing the
*_CLKSTCTRL.CLKTRCTRL field.  In the worst case, this could cause
system power management to behave incorrectly.

We aren't initialising token->next, but the code in destroy_context relies
on the list being NULL terminated. Use kzalloc to zero out all the fields.

afs_write_begin hits an error and calls afs_unlink_writeback. In there
we do list_del_init on an uninitialised list.

8d56addd70 fuse: fix truncate after open
Commit e1181ee6 "vfs: pass struct file to do_truncate on O_TRUNC
opens" broke the behavior of open(O_TRUNC|O_RDONLY) in fuse.  Fuse
assumed that when called from open, a truncate() will be done, not an
ftruncate().

Fix by restoring the old behavior, based on the ATTR_OPEN flag.

5a18ec176c fuse: fix hang of single threaded fuseblk filesystem
Single threaded NTFS-3G could get stuck if a delayed RELEASE reply
triggered a DESTROY request via path_put().

Fix this by

 a) making RELEASE requests synchronous, whenever possible, on fuseblk
 filesystems

 b) if not possible (triggered by an asynchronous read/write) then do
 the path_put() in a separate thread with schedule_work().

4b2f67d756 regulator, mc13xxx: Remove pointless test for unsigned less than zero
The variable 'val' is a 'unsigned int', so it can never be less than zero.
This fact makes the "val < 0" part of the test done in BUG_ON() in
mc13xxx_regulator_get_voltage() rather pointles since it can never have
any effect.
This patch removes the pointless test.

Without CONFIG_OMAP_32K_TIMER, the kernel has an clockevent and
clocksource resolution about three orders of magnitude higher than
with CONFIG_OMAP_32K_TIMER set.  The tradeoff is that the lowest
power consumption states are not available.

Fix by calling init_sched_clock() from the GPTIMER clocksource init code.

7f74f8f28a x86 quirk: Fix polarity for IRQ0 pin2 override on SB800 systems
On some SB800 systems polarity for IOAPIC pin2 is wrongly
specified as low active by BIOS. This caused system hangs after
resume from S3 when HPET was used in one-shot mode on such
systems because a timer interrupt was missed (HPET signal is
high active).

can handle all speeds with the same core. We need
to set has_tt flag after commit

981858bd7a ACPI / ACPICA: Implicit notify for multiple devices
Commit bba63a2 (ACPICA: Implicit notify support) introduced a
mechanism that causes a notify request of type
ACPI_NOTIFY_DEVICE_WAKE to be queued automatically by
acpi_ev_asynch_execute_gpe_method() for the device whose _PRW points
to the GPE being handled if that GPE is not associated with an
_Lxx/_Exx method.  However, it turns out that on some systems there
are multiple devices with _PRW pointing to the same GPE without
_Lxx/_Exx and the mechanism introduced by commit bba63a2 needs to be
extended so that "implicit" notify requests of type
ACPI_NOTIFY_DEVICE_WAKE can be queued automatically for all those
devices at the same time.

2949ad5071 ACPI / debugfs: Fix buffer overflows, double free
File position is not controlled, it may lead to overwrites of arbitrary
kernel memory.  Also the code may kfree() the same pointer multiple
times.

One more flaw is still present: if multiple processes open the file then
all 3 static variables are shared, leading to various race conditions.
They should be moved to file->private_data.

23fe36306e ACPI: Avoid calling request_irq() many times for the same interrupt
In principle acpi_os_install_interrupt_handler() may be called
multiple times for different interrupts, either from
acpi_ev_get_gpe_xrupt_block(), or from acpi_ev_install_sci_handler().
However, it always attempts to request the same interrupt,
acpi_gbl_FADT.sci_interrupt and it doesn't check whether or not this
interrupt has already been requested.

Modify this function so that it refuses to request interrupts other
than acpi_gbl_FADT.sci_interrupt and change
acpi_os_remove_interrupt_handler() so that it refuses to free such
interrupts.  Use the observation that the only supported ACPI
interrupt must be equal to acpi_gbl_FADT.sci_interrupt and drop an
unnecessary variable acpi_irq_irq.

This change has been tested on Toshiba Portege R500 and HP nx6325
without introducing any visible problems.

f1a2003e22 ACPI / PM: Merge do_suspend_lowlevel() into acpi_save_state_mem()
The function do_suspend_lowlevel() is specific to x86 and defined in
assembly code, so it should be called from the x86 low-level suspend
code rather than from acpi_suspend_enter().

Merge do_suspend_lowlevel() into the x86's acpi_save_state_mem() and
change the name of the latter to acpi_suspend_lowlevel(), so that the
function's purpose is better reflected by its name.

5190726765 ACPI: Remove the wakeup.run_wake_count device field
The wakeup.run_wake_count ACPI device field is only used by the PCI
runtime PM code to "protect" devices from being prepared for
generating wakeup signals more than once in a row.  However, it
really doesn't provide any protection, because (1) all of the
functions it is supposed to protect use their own reference counters
effectively ensuring that the device will be set up for generating
wakeup signals just once and (2) the PCI runtime PM code uses
wakeup.run_wake_count in a racy way, since nothing prevents
acpi_dev_run_wake() from being called concurrently from two different
threads for the same device.

Remove the wakeup.run_wake_count ACPI device field which is
unnecessary, confusing and used in a wrong way.

bb45e394e2 ACPI / PM: Use existing ACPI iomaps for NVS save/restore (v2)
Modify the NVS save/restore code to use acpi_os_get_iomem() and
acpi_os_unmap_memory() to acquire and release references to ACPI
iomaps, respectively.  If there's no ACPI iomap corresponding to the
given NVS page, acpi_os_ioremap() is used to map that page and
iounmap() is used to unmap it during resume.  [If the page is not
present in the ACPI iomaps already, it doesn't make sense to add its
mapping to the list of ACPI iomaps, because it's going to be thrown
away during the subsequent resume anyway.]

Testing on my HP nx6325 shows that approx. 90% of the NVS pages
have already been mapped by ACPI before suspend and are present in
the ACPI iomaps, so this change appears to be the right thing to do
in general.

Make acpi_os_unmap_generic_address() use acpi_map_lookup() to find
the desired iomap and drop the reference to it directly (and
eventually remove it if necessary) instead of calling
acpi_os_unmap_memory(), which requires us to walk the list of ACPI
iomaps twice in a row (first, to get the virtual address associated
with the iomap and second, to get the iomap itself).

7bbb890358 ACPI: Change acpi_ioremap_lock into a mutex
There's no reason why acpi_ioremap_lock has to be a spinlock,
because all of the functions it is used in may sleep anyway and
there's no reason why it should be locked with interrupts off.
Use a mutex instead (that's going to allow us to put some more
operations under the lock later).

805bdaec1a PM: Make ACPI wakeup from S5 work again when CONFIG_PM_SLEEP is unset
Commit 074037e (PM / Wakeup: Introduce wakeup source objects and
event statistics (v3)) caused ACPI wakeup to only work if
CONFIG_PM_SLEEP is set, but it also worked for CONFIG_PM_SLEEP unset
before.  This can be fixed by making device_set_wakeup_enable(),
device_init_wakeup() and device_may_wakeup() work in the same way
as before commit 074037e when CONFIG_PM_SLEEP is unset.
