This code will be eventually in drivers, and for the
code in the drivers we don't want to have any cpu_is_omap

To fix this, let's move the define for dma_omap2plus()
to dma-omap.h, and use the existing dma_attr passed in
the platform_data as the revision registers are what they
are.
Note that we can now also remove the relative includes
introduced by the recent clean-up patches.

Resolve this kernel boot message:
omap_hwmod: mcpdm: cannot be enabled for reset (3)
The McPDM on OMAP4 can only receive its functional clock from an
off-chip source. This source is not guaranteed to be present on the
board, and when present, it is controlled by I2C. This would
introduce a board dependency to the early hwmod code which it was not
designed to handle. Also, neither the driver for this off-chip clock
provider nor the I2C code is available early in boot when the hwmod
code is attempting to enable and reset IP blocks. This effectively
makes it impossible to enable and reset this device during hwmod init.
At its core, this patch is a workaround for an OMAP hardware problem.
It should be possible to configure the OMAP to provide any IP block's
functional clock from an on-chip source. (This is true for almost
every IP block on the chip. As far as I know, McPDM is the only
exception.) If the kernel cannot reset and configure IP blocks, it
cannot guarantee a sane SoC state. Relying on an optional off-chip
clock also creates a board dependency which is beyond the scope of the
early hwmod code.
This patch works around the issue by marking the McPDM hwmod record
with the HWMOD_EXT_OPT_MAIN_CLK flag. This prevents the hwmod
code from touching the device early during boot.

Add HWMOD_EXT_OPT_MAIN_CLK flag to indicate that this IP block is
dependent on an off-chip functional clock that is not guaranteed to be
present during initialization. IP blocks marked with this flag are
left in the INITIALIZED state during kernel init.
This is a workaround for a hardware problem. It should be possible to
guarantee that at least one clock source will be present and active
for any IP block's main functional clock. This ensures that the hwmod
code can enable and reset the IP block. Resetting the IP block during
kernel init prevents any bogus bootloader, ROM code, or previous OS
configuration from affecting the kernel. Hopefully a clock
multiplexer can be added on future SoCs.
N.B., at some point in the future, it should be possible to query the
clock framework for this type of information. Then this flag should
no longer be needed.

When waking up from off-mode, some IP blocks are reset automatically by
hardware. For this reason, software must wait until the reset has
completed before attempting to access the IP block.
This patch fixes for example the bug introduced by commit

First, fix the board file to use get_cpu_device() as required by the

Second, the board files OPP init is called from the its init_machine

init_machine is run. Therefore OPP initialization will fail. To fix,
use a device_initcall() for the board file's OPP customization, and

The runtime PM framework assumes that the hardware state of devices
when initialized is disabled. For all omap_devices, we idle/disable
device by default. However, the console uart uses a "no idle" option
during omap_device init in order to allow earlyprintk usage to work
seamlessly during boot.
Because the hardware is left partially enabled after init (whatever
the bootloader settings were), the omap_device should later be fully
initialized (including mux) and the runtime PM framework should be
told that the device is active, and not disabled so that the hardware
state is in sync with runtime PM state.
To fix, after the device has been created/registered, call
omap_device_enable() to finialize init and use pm_runtime_set_active()
to tell the runtime PM core the device is enabled.

On OMAP34xx/35xx, and OMAP36xx chips with ES < 1.2, if the PER
powerdomain goes to OSWR or OFF while CORE stays at CSWR or ON, or if,
upon chip wakeup from OSWR or OFF, the CORE powerdomain goes ON before
PER, the UART3/4 FIFOs and McBSP2/3 SIDETONE memories will be
unusable. This is erratum i582 in the OMAP36xx Silicon Errata
document.
This patch implements one of several parts of the workaround: the
addition of the wakeup dependency between the PER and WKUP
clockdomains, such that PER will wake up at the same time CORE_L3
does.
This is not a complete workaround. For it to be complete:
1. the PER powerdomain's next power state must not be set to OSWR or
OFF if the CORE powerdomain's next power state is set to CSWR or
ON;
2. the UART3/4 FIFO and McBSP2/3 SIDETONE loopback tests should be run
if the LASTPOWERSTATEENTERED bits for PER and CORE indicate that
PER went OFF while CORE stayed on. If loopback tests fail, then
those devices will be unusable until PER and CORE can undergo a
transition from ON to OSWR/OFF and back ON.

The OMAP watchdog timer driver needs to determine what caused the SoC
to reset for its GETBOOTSTATUS ioctl. So, define a set of standard
reset sources across OMAP SoCs. For OMAP2xxx, 3xxx, and 4xxx SoCs,
define mappings from the SoC-specific reset source register bits to
the standardized reset source IDs. Create SoC-specific PRM functions
that read the appropriate per-SoC register and use the mapping to
return the standardized reset bits. Register the SoC-specific PRM
functions with the common PRM code via prm_register(). Create a
function in the common PRM code, prm_read_reset_sources(), that
calls the SoC-specific function, registered during boot.
This patch does not yet handle some SoCs, such as AM33xx. Those SoCs
were not handled by the code this will replace.

There are several CM operations which behave similarly across OMAP2+
SoCs, but which have slight differences in their underlying
implementations.
This patch creates the support code for this function pointer
registration process. No function pointers are included yet, but a
subsequent patch will create these for the module IDLEST registers.
This patch allows other code to use CM-provided data and operations
without needing to know which SoC is currently in use. A further
description of the concept is provided in the patch entitled
"ARM: OMAP2+: PRM: prepare for use of prm_ll_data function pointers".
Signed-off-by: Paul Walmsley <paul@pwsan.com>
There are several PRM operations which behave similarly across OMAP2+
SoCs, but which have slight differences in their underlying
implementations. For example, to fetch the SoC's last reset sources,
different registers are read across OMAP2xxx, 3xxx, and 44xx, and
different bits are used on each SoC. But the information returned is
so similar that a single, common interface for drivers is useful.
This patch creates the support code for this function pointer
registration process. No function pointers are included yet, but a
subsequent patch will create one for the reset source API.
To illustrate the end goal with the above reset source example, each
per-SoC driver will use its own low-level implementation function --
e.g., prm2xxx.c would contain omap2xxx_prm_read_reset_sources(). This
function would read the appropriate register and remap the register
bits to a standard set of reset source bits. When the prm2xxx.c
driver is loaded, it would register this function with the common PRM
driver, prm.c. prm.c would then export a common function,
omap_prm_read_reset_sources(). Calling it would call through to the
function pointer for the currently-registered SoC PRM driver. This
will allow other drivers to use PRM-provided data and operations
without needing to know which SoC is currently in use.

Move the low-level SoC-specific clockdomain control functions into
cm*.c and prm*.c. For example, OMAP2xxx low-level clockdomain

accidentally added the omap3 INTC base to the local IRQ.
This causes the following:
twd: can't register interrupt 45 (-22)
twd_local_timer_register failed -22
The right fix is to not add any base, as it is a local

Guys, don't do this. Either put the new item into a randomly-chosen

}
$selects{$1} = $_;

if (%selects and (/^\s*$/ or /^\s+help/ or /^\s+---help---/ or

From Tony Lindgren:
This branch contains regression fixes for omap4/5 ASoC
audio that were caused by the fact that u-boot stopped
muxing non essential pins.
As omap audio and dmaengine development happens on
these platforms, let's make sure they are usable.
Of course this should have been fixed earlier and
not during the -rc cycle.

Commit eb05f69129 ("ARM: OMAP: hwmod:
partially un-reset hwmods might not be properly enabled") added code
to skip the IP block disable sequence if all of the block's hardreset
lines weren't asserted. But this did not handle the case when no
hardreset lines were associated with a module, which is the general
case. In that situation, the IP block disable would be skipped. This
is likely to cause PM regressions.
So, modify _omap4_disable_module() and _am33xx_disable_module() to
only bail out early if there are any hardreset lines asserted. And
move the AM33xx test above the actual module disable code to ensure
that the behavior is consistent.

Commit b71c721 (ARM: OMAP2+: clockdomain/hwmod: add workaround for EMU
clockdomain idle problems) added a workaround for the EMU clock domain on
OMAP3/4 devices to prevent the clock domain for transitioning while it is
in use.
In the proposed patch [1] code was added to the omap3xxx_clkdm_clk_enable()
and omap3xxx_clkdm_clk_disable() functions to check for the flag
CLKDM_MISSING_IDLE_REPORTING and perform the appropriate action. However, in the
merged patch it appears that this code was added to the omap2_clkdm_clk_enable()
and omap2_clkdm_clk_disable() functions by mistake.

This contains pretty many small commits covering fairly large range of
files in sound/ directory. Partly because of additional API support
and partly because of constantly developed ASoC and ARM stuff.
Some highlights:
- Introduced the helper function and documentation for exposing the
channel map via control API, as discussed in Plumbers; most of PCI
drivers are covered, will follow more drivers later
- Most of drivers have been replaced with the new PM callbacks (if
the bus is supported)
- HD-audio controller got the support of runtime PM and the support of
D3 clock-stop. Also changing the power_save option in sysfs kicks
off immediately to enable / disable the power-save mode.
- Another significant code change in HD-audio is the rewrite of
firmware loading code. Other than that, most of changes in HD-audio
are continued cleanups and standardization for the generic auto
parser and bug fixes (HBR, device-specific fixups), in addition to
the support of channel-map API.
- Addition of ASoC bindings for the compressed API, used by the
mid-x86 drivers.
- Lots of cleanups and API refreshes for ASoC codec drivers and
DaVinci.
- Conversion of OMAP to dmaengine.
- New machine driver for Wolfson Microelectronics Bells.
- New CODEC driver for Wolfson Microelectronics WM0010.
- Enhancements to the ux500 and wm2000 drivers
- A new driver for DA9055 and the support for regulator bypass mode.

Currently, a dummy omap_device is created for the MPU sub-system so
that a device node exists for MPU DVFS. Specifically, for the
association of MPU OPPs to a device node, and so that a voltage
regulator can be mapped to a device node.
For drivers to get a handle to this device node, an OMAP-specific API
has been used. However, the kernel already has device nodes for the
CPU(s) in the system, so we can use those instead of an OMAP-specific
dummy device and then drivers (like OMAP CPUfreq) can use generic
APIs.
To use the existing CPU device nodes, modify the OPP creation and
regulator registration to use the CPU0 device node for registraion.
NOTE: this patch always uses CPU0 as the device node. On all
OMAPs today, MPU DVFS scales all CPUs together, so this will
not be a problem, but this assumption will need to be changed
if independently scalable CPUs are introduced.

Commit 7d7e1eb (ARM: OMAP2+: Prepare for irqs.h removal) and commit ec2c082
(ARM: OMAP2+: Remove hardcoded IRQs and enable SPARSE_IRQ) updated the way
interrupts for OMAP2/3 devices are defined in the HWMOD data structures to
being an index plus a fixed offset (defined by OMAP_INTC_START). The definition
of the PMU interrupts on OMAP2/3 devices is missing the OMAP_INTC_START offset
and so this is causing the allocation of PMU interrupts to fail on OMAP2/3
devices. So add the offset to fix this.

Pull media updates from Mauro Carvalho Chehab:
"The first part of the media updates for Kernel 3.7.
This series contain:
- A major tree renaming patch series: now, drivers are organized
internally by their used bus, instead of by V4L2 and/or DVB API,
providing a cleaner driver location for hybrid drivers that
implement both APIs, and allowing to cleanup the Kconfig items and
make them more intuitive for the end user;
- Media Kernel developers are typically very lazy with their duties
of keeping the MAINTAINERS entries for their drivers updated. As
now the tree is more organized, we're doing an effort to add/update
those entries for the drivers that aren't currently orphan;
- Several DVB USB drivers got moved to a new DVB USB v2 core; the new
core fixes several bugs (as the existing one that got bitroted).
Now, suspend/resume finally started to work fine (at least with
some devices - we should expect more work with regards to it);
- added multistream support for DVB-T2, and unified the API for
DVB-S2 and ISDB-S. Backward binary support is preserved;
- as usual, a few new drivers, some V4L2 core improvements and lots
of drivers improvements and fixes.
There are some points to notice on this series:
1) you should expect a trivial merge conflict on your tree, with the
removal of Documentation/feature-removal-schedule.txt: this series
would be adding two additional entries there. I opted to not
rebase it due to this recent change;
2) With regards to the PCTV 520e udev-related breakage, I opted to
fix it in a way that the patches can be backported to 3.5 even
without your firmware fix patch. This way, Greg doesn't need to
rush backporting your patch (as there are still the firmware cache
and firmware path customization issues to be addressed there).
I'll send later a patch (likely after the end of the merge window)
reverting the rest of the DRX-K async firmware request, fully
restoring its original behaviour to allow media drivers to
initialize everything serialized as before for 3.7 and upper.
3) I'm planning to work on this weekend to test the DMABUF patches
for V4L2. The patches are on my queue for several Kernel cycles,
but, up to now, there is/was no way to test the series locally.
I have some concerns about this particular changeset with regards
to security issues, and with regards to the replacement of the old
VIDIOC_OVERLAY ioctl's that is broken on modern systems, due to
GPU drivers change. The Overlay API allows direct PCI2PCI
transfers from a media capture card into the GPU framebuffer, but
its API is crappy. Also, the only existing X11 driver that
implements it requires a XV extension that is not available
anymore on modern drivers. The DMABUF can do the same thing, but
with it is promising to be a properly-designed API. If I can
successfully test this series and be happy with it, I should be
asking you to pull them next week."

As usual we have a few new drivers:
- TI LP8788
- TI OMAP USB TLL
- Maxim MAX8907
- SMSC ECE1099
- Dialog Semiconductor DA9055
- A simpler syscon driver that allow us to get rid of the anatop one.
Drivers are also gradually getting Device Tree and IRQ domain support.
The following drivers got DT support:
- palmas, 88pm860x, tc3589x and twl4030-audio
And those ones now use the IRQ domain APIs:
- 88pm860x, tc3589x, db8500_prcmu
Also some other interesting changes:
- Intel's ICH LPC now supports Lynx Point
- TI's twl4030-audio added a GPO child
- tps6527 enabled its backlight subdevice
- The twl6030 pwm driver moved to the new PWM subsystem
And finally a bunch of cleanup and casual fixes for mc13xxx, 88pm860x, palmas,
ab8500, wm8994, wm5110, max8907 and the tps65xxx family.

This is a pretty significant branch. It's the introduction of the
first multiplatform support on ARM, and with this (and the later
branch) merged, it is now possible to build one kernel that contains
support for highbank, vexpress, mvebu, socfpga, and picoxcell. More
platforms will be convered over in the next few releases.
Two critical last things had to be done for this to be practical and
possible:
* Today each platform has its own include directory under
mach-<mach>/include/mach/*, and traditionally that is where a lot of
driver/platform shared definitions have gone, such as platform data
structures. They now need to move out to a common location instead,
and this branch moves a large number of those out to
include/linux/platform_data.
* Each platform used to list the device trees to compile for its
boards in mach-<mach>/Makefile.boot.
Both of the above changes will mean that there are some merge
conflicts to come (and some to resolve here). It's a one-time move and
once it settles in, we should be good for quite a while. Sorry for the
overhead.

Most notable here is probably the addition of basic support for the
BCM2835, an SoC used in some of the Roku 2 players as well as the
much-hyped Raspberry Pi, cleaned up and contributed by Stephen
Warren. It's still early days on mainline support, with just the
basics working. But it has to start somewhere!
Beyond that there's some conversions of clock infrastructure on tegra
to common clock, misc updates for several other platforms, and OMAP
now has its own bus (under drivers/bus) to manage its devices through.
This branch adds two new directories outside of arch/arm:
drivers/irqchip for new irq controllers, and drivers/bus for the above
OMAP bus. It's expected that some of the other platforms will migrate
parts of their platforms to those directories over time as well.

"Most notable here is probably the addition of basic support for the
BCM2835, an SoC used in some of the Roku 2 players as well as the
much-hyped Raspberry Pi, cleaned up and contributed by Stephen Warren.
It's still early days on mainline support, with just the basics
working.
OMAP bus. It's expected that some of the other platforms will migrate
parts of their platforms to those directories over time as well."
Fix up trivial conflicts with the clk infrastructure changes.

OMAP4460 and OMAP4470 devices have dedicated PMU interrupts and so add these
interrupts to the MPU HWMOD so we can use these for PMU events on these
devices. The PMU interrupts need to be the first interrupts in the array of
interrupts as the ARM PMU driver assumes this.
By using these dedicated interrupts we only need to enable the MPU and DEBUG
sub-systems for PMU to work. This is different to OMAP4430 that did not have
dedicated interrupts and required other power domains in addition to the DEBUG
sub-system to be enabled so we could route the PMU events to the CTI interrupts.
Hence, OMAP4460 and OMAP4470 devices can use the same list of HWMODs to create
the PMU device that is using by OMAP3.

The original implementation of this patch was done by Ming Lei for PMU on OMAP4
[1]. Since then the PM runtime calls have been moved into the ARM PMU code and
this greatly simplifies the changes.
The another differnce since the original version, is that it is no longer
necessary to call pm_runtime_get/put during the PMU initialisation was we are no
longer accessing the hardware at this stage.
By adding runtime PM support, we can ensure that the appropriate power and clock
domains are kept on while PMU is being used.

For OMAP4430 PMU events are routed to the CPU via the cross trigger interface
(CTI) because there are no dedicated interrupts. In order to route the PMU
events via the CTI IRQs, the following modules must be enabled:
l3_instr, l3_main_3, debugss
Therefore, build the arm-pmu device via these three HWMODs.
However, the CTI support for this platform still needs some work. Until
that's finished, temporarily disable the PMU on OMAP4430.

Convert OMAP2/3 devices to use HWMOD for creating a PMU device. To support PMU
on OMAP2 devices we only need to use MPU sub-system and so we can simply use
the MPU HWMOD to create the PMU device. To support PMU on OMAP3 devices, we need
to use the MPU and DEBUG sub-systems and so use these HWMODs to create the PMU
device for OMAP3.
The MPU HWMOD for OMAP2/3 devices is currently missing the PMU interrupt and so
add the PMU interrupt to the MPU HWMOD for these devices.
This change also moves the PMU code out of the mach-omap2/devices.c files into
its own pmu.c file as suggested by Kevin Hilman to de-clutter devices.c.

The idle status of the IP blocks and clocks inside the EMU clockdomain
isn't taken into account by the PRCM hardware when deciding whether
the clockdomain is idle. Add a workaround flag in the clockdomain
code, CLKDM_MISSING_IDLE_REPORTING, to deal with this problem, and add
the code necessary to support it.
If CLKDM_MISSING_IDLE_REPORTING is set on a clockdomain, the
clockdomain will be forced active whenever an IP block inside that
clockdomain is in use, even if the clockdomain supports
hardware-supervised idle. When the kernel indicates that the last
active IP block inside the clockdomain is no longer used, the
clockdomain will be forced idle, or, if that mode is not supported in
the hardware, it will be placed into hardware-supervised idle.

Some instances of the DMTIMER peripheral on OMAP devices have the ability
to interrupt the on-chip DSP in addition to the ARM CPU. Add a DMTIMER
attribute to indicate which timers can interrupt the DSP. By using the
omap_dm_timer_request_by_cap() API, driver will now be able to allocate
a DMTIMER that can interrupt the DSP based upon this attribute and not require
the driver to know which instance has this capability.
DMTIMERs that have the ability to interrupt the DSP on OMAP devices are as
follows ...
- OMAP1 (OMAP5912/16xx/17xx) devices - All 8 DMTIMERs
- OMAP2/3/4 devices - DMTIMERs 5-8
Please note that for OMAP3+, timer8 has the ability to interrupt the DSP and
generate a PWM output.

Move the OMAP1-specific RNG device creation off to mach-omap1/devices.c,
and create a omap_device-backed registration function for OMAP2+ devices
in mach-omap2/devices.c.
As a nice side-benefit, we can also get rid of
arch/arm/plat-omap/devices.c, thanks to some recent changes from Tony.
One change from the previous behavior is that the RNG devices are now
registered unconditionally. This should allow the RNG drivers to be
loaded as modules, even if the original kernel was not built that way.

For a reset sequence to complete cleanly, a module needs its
associated clocks to be enabled, otherwise the timeout check
in prcm code can print a false failure (failed to hardreset)

bit checked can't transition without them.

Some IP blocks might not be using/controlling more than one
reset line, this check loosens the restriction to fully use
hwmod framework for those drivers.
E.g.: ipu has reset lines: mmu_cache, cpu0 and cpu1.
- As of now cpu1 is not used and hence (with previous check) the
IP block isn't fully enabled by hwmod code.
- Usually ipu and dsp processors configure their mmu module first
and then enable the processors, this involves:
* Deasserting mmu reset line, and enabling the module.
* Deasserting cpu0 reset line, and enabling the processor.
The ones portrayed in this example are controlled through
rproc_fw_boot in drivers/remoteproc/remoteproc_core.c
While at it, prevent _omap4_module_disable if all the hardreset
lines on an IP block are not under reset.
This will allow the driver to:
a. Deassert the reset line.
b. Enable the hwmod through runtime PM default callbacks.
c. Do its usecase.
d. Disable hwmod through runtime PM.
e. Assert the reset line.

On OMAP4 most modules/hwmods support module level context status. On
OMAP3 and earlier, we relied on the power domain level context status.
Identify all modules that don't support 'context_offs' by adding a
flag bit, HWMOD_OMAP4_NO_CONTEXT_LOSS_BIT. Rest have a valid
'context_offs' populated in .prcm structure already.

Currently hwmod only provides the offset for the context lose
register, and if we attempt to share the same register between two or
more hwmods, the resulting context loss counts get wrong. Thus, we
need a way to specify which bits are used for the context loss
information for each. This is accomplished by adding a new field to
the omap4 prcm struct, 'lostcontext_mask', which specifies a bit-mask
to use for filtering the register.
Mark the affected hwmods appropriately. 'l4_abe' hwmod uses the
LOSTMEM_AESSMEM bit of RM_ABE_AESS_CONTEXT register, as l4_abe doesn't
have its own dedicated register for this purpose. This register is
shared with 'aess' hwmod, thus both hwmods must also specify which
bits of the register are used for them.
This patch only adds the hwmod data, but a future patch should add
code support such that only the specified bits are read and cleared by
the context lose counter update code. If a hwmod doesn't specify
'lostcontext_mask' (default behavior), the whole contents of the
context register should be used without any filtering.

On OMAP4, there is no support to read previous logic state
or previous memory state achieved when a power domain transitions
to RET. Instead there are module level context registers.
In order to support the powerdomain level logic/mem_off_counters
on OMAP4, instead use the previous power state achieved (RET) and
the *programmed* logic/mem RET state to derive if a powerdomain lost
logic or did not.
If the powerdomain is programmed to enter RET state and lose logic
in RET state, knowing that the powerdomain entered RET is good enough
to derive that the logic was lost as well, in such cases.

The decision was made a few months ago to allow struct omap_hwmod
records and struct clk records to omit clockdomain information if the
clockdomain is not software-controllable. See for example commit
868c157df9 ("ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: remove
prm_clkdm, cm_clkdm; allow hwmods to have no clockdomain").
So convert an existing pr_warning() to a pr_debug() (regarding missing
clockdomains in clocks), and add a pr_debug() for missing hwmod
clockdomains. It's still useful to enable these messages for
debugging, since missing clockdomains can cause hard-to-debug problems
with power management; see for example commit

We're no longer requiring struct omap_hwmod records to contain a

no clockdomain defined, since that just gets passed back to the
caller. This can result in pointless warnings under the relaxed data

As part of Common Clk Framework (CCF) the clk_enable() operation
was split into a clk_prepare() which could sleep, and a clk_enable()
which should never sleep. Similarly the clk_disable() was
split into clk_disable() and clk_unprepare(). This was
needed to handle complex cases where in a clk gate/ungate
would require a slow and a fast part to be implemented.
None of the clocks below seem to be in the 'complex' clocks
category and are just simple clocks which are enabled/disabled
through simple register writes.
Most of the instances also seem to be called in non-atomic
context which means its safe to move all of those from
using a clk_enable() to clk_prepare_enable() and clk_disable() to
clk_disable_unprepare().
For some others, mainly the ones handled through the hwmod framework
there is a possibility that they get called in either an atomic
or a non-atomic context.
The way these get handled below work only as long as clk_prepare
is implemented as a no-op (which is the case today) since this gets
called very early at boot while most subsystems are unavailable.
Hence these are marked with a *HACK* comment, which says we need
to re-visit these once we start doing something meaningful with
clk_prepare/clk_unprepare like doing voltage scaling or something
that involves i2c.
This is in preparation of OMAP moving to CCF.

For OMAP4, the dmtimers are located in the Wake-up, ABE and Peripheral (PER)
power domains. Hence, when the dmtimer is configured to use the "timer_sys_ck"
as its functional clock the actual clock used is different depending on whether
the clock is in the Wake-up, ABE or PER domain. So when we look-up the dmtimer's
"timer_sys_ck" we need to specify the timer device name as well as clock alias
to find the right clock.
Currently, the device names for the timers have the format "omap_timer.X" where
X is the timer instance number. When using to device tree, the format of the
device name created by device-tree is different and has the format
"<reg-address>.<device-name>" (this is assuming that the device-tree "reg"
property is specified). This causes the look-up for the OMAP4 "timer_sys_ck" to
fail. To fix this add new timer clock alias for using device-tree.
Please note that adding a 2nd set of clock aliases for the same clocks to only
temporary until device-tree migration is complete. Then we can remove the legacy
aliases. Hence, I have marked the legacy aliases with a "TODO" to remove them.

The real time counter also called master counter, is a free-running
counter. It produces the count used by the CPU local timer peripherals
in the MPU cluster. The timer counts at a rate of 6.144 MHz.
The ratio registers needs to be configured based on system clock
only onetime. After initialisation, hardware takes care of adjusting
the clock in different low power modes to keep counter rate constant.

Enable pinctrl dummy states for all OMAP platforms that don't

Commit 7d7e1eba (ARM: OMAP2+: Prepare for irqs.h removal) broke
compile for non-omap as include plat/cpu.h was added. This header
was indirectly included earlier when SPARSE_IRQ was not set, but
does not exist on most platforms.
Fix the problem by removing the cpu_is_omap usage that should
not exist in drivers at all. We can do this by adding proper
clock aliases for the twl-core.c drivers, and drop separate
handling for cases when clock framework is not available as
the behaviour will stay the same.
Note that we need to add a platform device to avoid using the
i2c provided names that may be different on various omaps.

These can now be moved to be local headers in mach-omap2.
Note that this patch removes arch/arm/plat-omap/devices.c as it
will get removed anyways with Paul Walmsley's patch
"ARM: OMAP: split OMAP1, OMAP2+ RNG device registration".
Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
As the plat and mach includes need to disappear for single zImage work,
we need to remove plat/hardware.h.
Do this by splitting plat/hardware.h into omap1 and omap2+ specific files.
The old plat/hardware.h already has omap1 only defines, so it gets moved
to mach/hardware.h for omap1. For omap2+, we use the local soc.h
that for now just includes the related SoC headers to keep this patch more
readable.
Note that the local soc.h still includes plat/cpu.h that can be dealt
with in later patches. Let's also include plat/serial.h from common.h for
all the board-*.c files. This allows making the include files local later
on without patching these files again.
Note that only minimal changes are done in this patch for the
drivers/watchdog/omap_wdt.c driver to keep things compiling. Further
patches are needed to eventually remove cpu_is_omap usage in the drivers.
Also only minimal changes are done to sound/soc/omap/* to remove the
unneeded includes and to define OMAP44XX_MCPDM_L3_BASE locally so there's
no need to include omap44xx.h.
While at it, also sort some of the includes in the standard way.

As the interrupts should only be defined in the platform_data, and
eventually coming from device tree, there's no need to define them
in header files.
Let's remove the hardcoded references to irqs.h and fix up the includes
so we don't rely on headers included in irqs.h. Note that we're
defining OMAP_INTC_START as 0 to the interrupts. This will be needed
when we enable SPARSE_IRQ. For some drivers we need to add
#include <plat/cpu.h> for now until these drivers are fixed to
remove cpu_is_omapxxxx() usage.
While at it, sort som of the includes the standard way, and add
the trailing commas where they are missing in the related data
structures.
Note that for drivers/staging/tidspbridge we just define things
locally.

make it local to arch/arm/mach-omap2 for single zImage support.

format "dcan.X", where 'X' is the dcan instance number.
On other side, driver may request for clock with/without con_id
and dev_id, and it is expected that platform should respect this
request and return the requested clock handle.
Now, when using device tree, the format of the device name created
by OF layer is different, "<reg-address>.<device-name>",
assuming that the device-tree "reg" property is specified.
This causes the look-up failure for clock node in dcan driver
To fix this add new dcan clock alias for using device-tree.

Add missing soc_is_am33xx() check for DPLL common control & clock
related functions, without this dpll programmability would be broken
for am33xx family of devices.

Find and unwrap wrapped strings in the style:
pr_debug("clockdomain: hardware cannot set/clear wake up of "
"%s when %s wakes up\n", clkdm1->name, clkdm2->name);
Keeping these strings contiguous seems to be the current Linux kernel
policy.
The offending lines were found with the following command:
pcregrep -rnM '"\s*$\s*"' arch/arm/*omap*
While here, some messages have been clarified, some pr_warning(
... calls have been converted to pr_warn( ..., and some printk(KERN_*
... have been converted to pr_*.
