On newer Ingenic SoCs the interrupt controller supports more than 32
interrupts, which it does by duplicating the registers at intervals
of 0x20 bytes within its address space. Add support for an arbitrary
number of interrupts using multiple generic chips, and provide the
number of chips to register from the interrupt controller probe
function.

5581248 233140 5990368 11804756 b42054 vmlinux.32-new

6029896 360752 10756544 17147192 105a538 vmlinux.64-new
The data size increase is due to the special alignment requirement of
`init_thread_union' aka `.data..init_task' moving it up to the nearest
page boundary and making the amount of padding at its front rely on how
far within a page text ends.

Most R3k processor implementations have their 8 first TLB entries fixed
as wired, so we always skip them in TLB invalidation. That however
means any leftover entries present there at boot will stay throughout
the life of the kernel, unless replaced with new ones.
So rename `local_flush_tlb_all' to `local_flush_tlb_from' and make it
accept the TLB entry to start from. Then use 0 initially at bootstrap,
and the first regular entry later on, bypassing any wired entries.
Wrap the latter arrangement into a new `local_flush_tlb_all' entry
point.
There is no need to disable interrupts in the call made from `tlb_init'
because it's made before the interrupt subsystem has been initialised;
this is also true for secondary processors, should we ever support R3k
SMP. So move this piece of code to new `local_flush_tlb_all'.

The RI/XI bits when present are above the PFN field in the EntryLo
registers, at bits 63,62 when read with dmfc0, and bits 31,30 when read
with mfc0. This makes them appear as part of the physical address, since
the other bits are masked with PAGE_MASK, for example:
Index: 253 pgmask=16kb va=77b18000 asid=75
[pa=1000744000 c=5 d=1 v=1 g=0] [pa=100134c000 c=5 d=1 v=1 g=0]
The physical addresses have bit 36 set, which corresponds to bit 30 of
EntryLo1, the XI bit.
Explicitly mask off the RI and XI bits from the printed physical
address, and print the RI and XI bits separately if they exist, giving
output more like this:
Index: 226 pgmask=16kb va=77be0000 asid=79
[ri=0 xi=1 pa=01288000 c=5 d=1 v=1 g=0] [ri=0 xi=0 pa=010e4000 c=5 d=0 v=1 g=0]

The EHINV bit in EntryHi allows a TLB entry to be properly marked
invalid so that EntryHi doesn't have to be set to a unique value to
avoid machine check exceptions due to multiple matching entries.
Unfortunately dump_tlb() doesn't take this into account so it will print
all the uninteresting invalid TLB entries if the current ASID happens to
be 00. Therefore add a condition to skip entries which are marked
invalid with the EHINV bit.

The TLB only matches the ASID when the global bit isn't set, so
dump_tlb() shouldn't really be skipping global entries just because the
ASID doesn't match. Fix the condition to read the TLB entry's global bit
from EntryLo0. Note that after a TLB read the global bits in both
EntryLo registers reflect the same global bit in the TLB entry.

tlbr (TLB read) instructions, which are used in TLB dumping code and
some KVM TLB management code:
- mtc0_tlbr_hazard
Between mtc0 (Index) and tlbr. This is copied from mtc0_tlbw_hazard in
all cases on the assumption that tlbr always has similar data user
timings to tlbw.
- tlb_read_hazard
Between tlbr and mfc0 (various TLB registers). This is copied from
tlbw_use_hazard in all cases on the assumption that tlbr has similar
data writer characteristics to tlbw, and mfc0 has similar data user
characteristics to loads and stores.

Commit be0c37c985 ("MIPS: Rearrange PTE bits into fixed positions.")
rearranged the PTE bits into fixed positions in preparation for the XPA
support. However, this patch broke R6 since it only took R2 cores
into consideration for the RI/XI bits leading to boot failures. We fix
this by adding the missing CONFIG_CPU_MIPSR6 definitions

(due to reserved_cpus_mask). So in loongson3_ipi_interrupt(), percpu
access will touch the original varible in .data..percpu section which

Commit 334c86c494 ("MIPS: IRQ: Add stackoverflow detection") added
kernel stack overflow detection, however it only enabled it conditional
upon the preprocessor definition DEBUG_STACKOVERFLOW, which is never
actually defined. The Kconfig option is called DEBUG_STACKOVERFLOW,
which manifests to the preprocessor as CONFIG_DEBUG_STACKOVERFLOW, so
switch it to using that definition instead.

On s390x we have to provide 160 bytes stack space before we can call
the next function. From the 160 bytes that we got from the previous
function we only use 11 * 8 bytes and have 160 - 11 * 8 bytes left.
Currently for BPF we allocate additional 160 - 11 * 8 bytes for the
next function. This is wrong because then the next function only gets:
(160 - 11 * 8) + (160 - 11 * 8) = 2 * 72 = 144 bytes
Fix this and allocate enough memory for the next function.

The early_idt_handlers asm code generates an array of entry
points spaced nine bytes apart. It's not really clear from that
code or from the places that reference it what's going on, and
the code only works in the first place because GAS never
generates two-byte JMP instructions when jumping to global
labels.
Clean up the code to generate the correct array stride (member size)
explicitly. This should be considerably more robust against
screw-ups, as GAS will warn if a .fill directive has a negative
count. Using '. =' to advance would have been even more robust
(it would generate an actual error if it tried to move
backwards), but it would pad with nulls, confusing anyone who
tries to disassemble the code. The new scheme should be much
clearer to future readers.
While we're at it, improve the comments and rename the array and
common code.
Binutils may start relaxing jumps to non-weak labels. If so,
this change will fix our build, and we may need to backport this
change.

New system control module layout for omap3 overlooked parts of the am35xx

Bit 9 of TTE is CV (Cacheable in V-cache) on sparc v9 processor while
the same bit 9 is MCDE (Memory Corruption Detection Enable) on M7
processor. This creates a conflicting usage of the same bit. Kernel
sets TTE.cv bit on all pages for sun4v architecture which works well
for sparc v9 but enables memory corruption detection on M7 processor
which is not the intent. This patch adds code to determine if kernel
is running on M7 processor and takes steps to not enable memory

This fixes a bug uncovered by a recent driver core change that
modified the implementation of the ACPI_COMPANION_SET() macro to
strictly rely on its second argument to be either NULL or a valid
pointer to struct acpi_device.
As it turns out, pcibios_root_bridge_prepare() on x86 and ia64
works with the assumption that the only code path calling
pci_create_root_bus() is pci_acpi_scan_root() and therefore
the sysdata argument passed to it will always match the
expectations of pcibios_root_bridge_prepare(). That need not
be the case, however, and in particular it is not the case for
the Xen pcifront driver that passes a pointer to its own private
data strcture as sysdata to pci_scan_bus_parented() which then
passes it to pci_create_root_bus() and it ends up being used
incorrectly by pcibios_root_bridge_prepare().

ARM: dts: set display clock correctly for exynos4412-trats2
Linus reported the following new warning on x86 allmodconfig with GCC 5.1:
> ./arch/x86/include/asm/spinlock.h: In function ‘arch_spin_lock’:
> ./arch/x86/include/asm/spinlock.h:119:3: warning: implicit declaration
> of function ‘__ticket_lock_spinning’ [-Wimplicit-function-declaration]
> __ticket_lock_spinning(lock, inc.tail);
> ^
This warning triggers because of these hacks in misc.h:
/*
* we have to be careful, because no indirections are allowed here, and
* paravirt_ops is a kind of one. As it will only run in baremetal anyway,
* we just keep it from happening
*/
#undef CONFIG_PARAVIRT
#undef CONFIG_KASAN
But these hacks were not updated when CONFIG_PARAVIRT_SPINLOCKS was added,
and eventually (with the introduction of queued paravirt spinlocks in
recent kernels) this created an invalid Kconfig combination and broke
the build.
So add a CONFIG_PARAVIRT_SPINLOCKS #undef line as well.
Also remove the _ASM_X86_DESC_H quirk: that undocumented quirk
was originally added ages ago, in:
099e137726 ("x86: use ELF format in compressed images.")
and I went back to that kernel (and fixed up the main Makefile
which didn't build anymore) and checked what failure it
avoided: it avoided an include file dependencies related
build failure related to our old x86-platforms code.
That old code is long gone, the header dependencies got cleaned
up, and the build does not fail anymore with the totality of
asm/desc.h included - so remove the quirk.

While commit efa7045103 ("x86/asm/entry: Make user_mode() work
correctly if regs came from VM86 mode") claims that "user_mode()
is now identical to user_mode_vm()", this wasn't actually the
case - no prior commit made it so.

This patch fixes allmodconfig, which fails to build due to
missing dma_alloc_attrs() and dma_free_attrs() functions.

The power management related assembly on omaps needs to interact with
ARM mode bootrom code, so we need to keep most of the related assembly
in ARM mode.
Turns out this error is because of missing ENDPROC for assembly code
as suggested by Stephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org>. Let's fix the
problem by adding ENDPROC in two places to sleep34xx.S.
Let's also remove the now duplicate custom code for mode switching.
This has been unnecessary since commit 6ebbf2ce43 ("ARM: convert
all "mov.* pc, reg" to "bx reg" for ARMv6+").
And let's also remove the comments about local variables, they are
now just confusing after the ENDPROC.
The reason why ENDPROC makes a difference is it sets .type and then
the compiler knows what to do with the thumb bit as explained at:

Commit 97badf873a (device property: Make it possible to use
secondary firmware nodes) uncovered a bug in the x86 (and ia64) PCI
host bridge initialization code that assumes bridge->bus->sysdata
to always point to a struct pci_sysdata object which need not be
the case (in particular, the Xen PCI frontend driver sets it to point
to a different data type). If it is not the case, an incorrect
pointer (or a piece of data that is not a pointer at all) will be
passed to ACPI_COMPANION_SET() and that may cause interesting
breakage to happen going forward.
To work around this problem use the observation that the ACPI
host bridge initialization always passes NULL as parent to
pci_create_root_bus(), so if pcibios_root_bridge_prepare() sees
a non-NULL parent of the bridge, it should not attempt to set
an ACPI companion for it, because that means that
pci_create_root_bus() has been called by someone else.
