672a287227 pc: acpi: consolidate legacy CPU hotplug in one file
Since AML part of CPU hotplug is tightly coupled with
its hardware part (IO port layout/protocol), move
build_legacy_cpu_hotplug_aml() to cpu_hotplug.c
and remove empty cpu_hotplug_acpi_table.c

1dbfd7892b acpi: fix bios linker loadder COMMAND_ALLOCATE on bigendian host
'make check' fails with:

ERROR:tests/bios-tables-test.c:493:load_expected_aml:
   assertion failed: (g_file_test(aml_file, G_FILE_TEST_EXISTS))

since commit:
caf50c7166
tests: pc: acpi: drop not needed 'expected SSDT' blobs

Assert happens because qemu-system-x86_64 generates
SSDT table and test looks for a corresponding expected
table to compare with.

However there is no expected SSDT blob anymore, since
QEMU souldn't generate one. As it happens BIOS is not
able to read ACPI tables from QEMU and fallbacks to
embeded legacy ACPI codepath, which generates SSDT.
That happens due to wrongly sized endiannes conversion
which makes
 uint8_t BiosLinkerLoaderEntry.alloc.zone
end up with 0 due to truncation of 32 bit integer
which on host is 1 or 2.

Fix it by dropping invalid cpu_to_le32() as uint8_t
doesn't require any conversion.

73bcb24d93 Replaced get_tick_per_sec() by NANOSECONDS_PER_SECOND
This patch replaces get_ticks_per_sec() calls with the macro
NANOSECONDS_PER_SECOND. Also, as there are no callers, get_ticks_per_sec()
is then removed. This replacement improves the readability and
understandability of code.

For example,

    timer_mod(fdctrl->result_timer,
	      qemu_clock_get_ns(QEMU_CLOCK_VIRTUAL) + (get_ticks_per_sec() / 50));

NANOSECONDS_PER_SECOND makes it obvious that qemu_clock_get_ns
matches the unit of the expression on the right side of the plus.

da34e65cb4 include/qemu/osdep.h: Don't include qapi/error.h
Commit 57cb38b included qapi/error.h into qemu/osdep.h to get the
Error typedef. Since then, we've moved to include qemu/osdep.h
everywhere. Its file comment explains: "To avoid getting into
possible circular include dependencies, this file should not include
any other QEMU headers, with the exceptions of config-host.h,
compiler.h, os-posix.h and os-win32.h, all of which are doing a
similar job to this file and are under similar constraints."
qapi/error.h doesn't do a similar job, and it doesn't adhere to
similar constraints: it includes qapi-types.h. That's in excess of
100KiB of crap most .c files don't actually need.

Add the typedef to qemu/typedefs.h, and include that instead of
qapi/error.h. Include qapi/error.h in .c files that need it and don't
get it now. Include qapi-types.h in qom/object.h for uint16List.

Update scripts/clean-includes accordingly. Update it further to match
reality: replace config.h by config-target.h, add sysemu/os-posix.h,
sysemu/os-win32.h. Update the list of includes in the qemu/osdep.h
comment quoted above similarly.

This reduces the number of objects depending on qapi/error.h from "all
of them" to less than a third. Unfortunately, the number depending on
qapi-types.h shrinks only a little. More work is needed for that one.

96a1616c85 qapi-dealloc: Reduce use outside of generated code
No need to roll our own use of the dealloc visitors when we can
just directly use the qapi_free_FOO() functions that do what we
want in one line.

In net.c, inline net_visit() into its remaining lone caller.

After this patch, test-visitor-serialization.c is the only
non-generated file that needs to use a dealloc visitor, because
it is testing low level aspects of the visitor interface.

d7bce9999d qom: Swap 'name' next to visitor in ObjectPropertyAccessor
Similar to the previous patch, it's nice to have all functions
in the tree that involve a visitor and a name for conversion to
or from QAPI to consistently stick the 'name' parameter next
to the Visitor parameter.

Done by manually changing include/qom/object.h and qom/object.c,
then running this Coccinelle script and touching up the fallout
(Coccinelle insisted on adding some trailing whitespace).

51e72bc1dd qapi: Swap visit_* arguments for consistent 'name' placement
JSON uses "name":value, but many of our visitor interfaces were
called with visit_type_FOO(v, &value, name, errp). This can be
a bit confusing to have to mentally swap the parameter order to
match JSON order. It's particularly bad for visit_start_struct(),
where the 'name' parameter is smack in the middle of the
otherwise-related group of 'obj, kind, size' parameters! It's
time to do a global swap of the parameter ordering, so that the
'name' parameter is always immediately after the Visitor argument.

Additional reason in favor of the swap: the existing include/qjson.h
prefers listing 'name' first in json_prop_*(), and I have plans to
unify that file with the qapi visitors; listing 'name' first in
qapi will minimize churn to the (admittedly few) qjson.h clients.

Later patches will then fix docs, object.h, visitor-impl.h, and
those clients to match.

Done by first patching scripts/qapi*.py by hand to make generated
files do what I want, then by running the following Coccinelle
script to affect the rest of the code base:
 $ spatch --sp-file script `git grep -l '\bvisit_' -- '**/*.[ch]'`
I then had to apply some touchups (Coccinelle insisted on TAB
indentation in visitor.h, and botched the signature of
visit_type_enum() by rewriting 'const char *const strings[]' to
the syntactically invalid 'const char*const[] strings'). The
movement of parameters is sufficient to provoke compiler errors
if any callers were missed.

c8e6c93857 nvdimm: fix header pointer in nvdimm_build_nfit()
In the current nvdimm_build_nfit(), the pointer 'header' initially equals
to table_data->data + table_data->len. However, the following
g_array_append_vals(table_data, structures->data, structures->len)
may resize and relocate table_data->data[]. Therefore, the usage of 'header'
afterwards may be illegal.

This patch fixes this issue by storing an offset within table_data->data[]
(rather than an address) in 'header'.

439e2a6e10 acpi: aml: add helper for Opcode Arg2 Arg2 [Dst] AML pattern
Currently AML API doesn't compose terms in form of
following pattern:

   Opcode Arg2 Arg2 [Dst]

but ASL used in piix4/q35 DSDT ACPI tables uses that
form, so for clean conversion of it, AML API should
be able to handle an optional 'Dst' argumet used there.

Since above pattern is used by arithmetic/bit ops,
introduce helper that they could reuse.
It reduces code duplication in existing 5 aml_foo()
functions and also will prevent more duplication
when exiting functions are extended to support
optional 'Dst' argument.

87252e1b61 nvdimm acpi: build ACPI NFIT table
NFIT is defined in ACPI 6.0: 5.2.25 NVDIMM Firmware Interface Table (NFIT)

Currently, we only support PMEM mode. Each device has 3 structures:
- SPA structure, defines the PMEM region info

- MEM DEV structure, it has the @handle which is used to associate specified
  ACPI NVDIMM device we will introduce in later patch.
  Also we can happily ignored the memory device's interleave, the real
  nvdimm hardware access is hidden behind host

- DCR structure, it defines vendor ID used to associate specified vendor
  nvdimm driver. Since we only implement PMEM mode this time, Command
  window and Data window are not needed

The NVDIMM functionality is controlled by the parameter, 'nvdimm', which
is introduced for the machine, there is a example to enable it:
-machine pc,nvdimm -m 8G,maxmem=100G,slots=100  -object \
memory-backend-file,id=mem1,share,mem-path=/tmp/nvdimm1,size=10G -device \
nvdimm,memdev=mem1,id=nv1

d9a3b33d2c acpi: fix buffer overrun on migration
ich calls acpi_gpe_init with length ICH9_PMIO_GPE0_LEN so
ICH9_PMIO_GPE0_LEN/2 bytes are allocated, but then the full
ICH9_PMIO_GPE0_LEN bytes are migrated.

As a quick work-around, allocate twice the memory.
We'll probably want to tweak code to avoid
migrating the extra ICH9_PMIO_GPE0_LEN/2 bytes,
but that is a bit trickier to do without breaking
migration compatibility.

4828b10bda pc: memhp: do not emit inserting event for coldplugged DIMMs
currently acpi_memory_plug_cb() sets is_inserting for
cold- and hot-plugged DIMMs as result ASL MHPD.MSCN()
method issues device check even for every coldplugged
DIMM. There isn't much harm in it but if we try to
unplug such DIMM, OSPM will issue device check
intstead of device eject event. So OSPM won't eject
memory module as expected and it will try to eject it
only when another memory device is hot-(un)plugged.

As a fix do not set 'is_inserting' event and do not
issue SCI for cold-plugged DIMMs as they are
enumerated and activated by OSPM during guest's boot.

5add35bec1 ich9: implement strap SPKR pin logic
If the signal is sampled high, this indicates that the system is
strapped to the "No Reboot" mode (ICH9 will disable the TCO Timer system
reboot feature). The status of this strap is readable via the NO_REBOOT
bit (CC: offset 0x3410:bit 5).

The NO_REBOOT bit is set when SPKR pin on ICH9 is sampled high. This bit
may be set or cleared by software if the strap is sampled low but may
not override the strap when it indicates "No Reboot".

This patch implements the logic where hardware has ability to set SPKR
pin through a property named "noreboot" and it's sampled high by
default.

920557971b ich9: add TCO interface emulation
This interface provides some registers within a 32-byte range and can be
acessed through PCI-to-LPC bridge interface (PMBASE + 0x60).

It's commonly used as a watchdog timer to detect system lockups through
SMIs that are generated -- if TCO_EN bit is set -- on every timeout. If
NO_REBOOT bit is not set in GCS (General Control and Status register),
the system will be resetted upon second timeout if TCO_RLD register
wasn't previously written to prevent timeout.

This patch adds support to TCO watchdog logic and few other features
like mapping NMIs to SMIs (NMI2SMI_EN bit), system intruder detection,
etc. are not implemented yet.

afd6895b45 piix4/ich9: do not raise SMI on ACPI enable/disable commands
These commands are handled entirely by QEMU. Do not raise an SMI

6e7d82497d hw/acpi: piix4_pm_init(): take fw_cfg object no more
This PIIX4 init function has no more reason to receive a pointer to the
FwCfg object. Remove the parameter from the prototype, and update callers.

As a result, the pc_init1() function no longer needs to save the return
value of pc_memory_init() and xen_load_linux(), which makes it more
similar to pc_q35_init().

The return type & value of pc_memory_init() and xen_load_linux() are not
changed themselves; maybe we'll need their return values sometime later.

e3845e7c47 hw/acpi: move "etc/system-states" fw_cfg file from PIIX4 to core
The acpi_pm1_cnt_init() core function is responsible for setting up the
register block that will ultimately react to S3 and S4 requests (see
acpi_pm1_cnt_write()). It makes sense to advertise this configuration to
the guest firmware via an easy to parse fw_cfg file (ACPI is too complex
for firmware to parse), and indeed PIIX4 does that. However, since
acpi_pm1_cnt_init() is not specific to PIIX4, neither should be the fw_cfg
file.

This patch makes "etc/system-states" appear on all chipsets modified in
the previous patch, not just PIIX4 (assuming they have fw_cfg at all).

786a4ea82e Convert (ffs(val) - 1) to ctz32(val)
This commit was generated mechanically by coccinelle from the following
semantic patch:

@@
expression val;
@@
- (ffs(val) - 1)
+ ctz32(val)

The call sites have been audited to ensure the ffs(0) - 1 == -1 case
never occurs (due to input validation, asserts, etc). Therefore we
don't need to worry about the fact that ctz32(0) == 32.
