update-ref --stdin: simplify error messages for missing oldvalues

Browse Source 
Instead of, for example,

    fatal: update refs/heads/master missing [<oldvalue>] NUL

emit

    fatal: update refs/heads/master missing <oldvalue>

Update the tests accordingly.
