658e7626e5 package/pkg-autotools: set AUTOPOINT via AUTOCONF_ENV
Previously, AUTOPOINT was hardcoded to /bin/true in autoconf.mk.

Moving the definition of this variable into AUTOCONF_ENV as part of the
autotools infrastructure will allow us to conditionally set the variable
based on package flags to support migrating away from FOO_GETTEXTIZE.

While we're at it, split the overly long line that defines AUTORECONF,
wrapping at 80 columns.

c9aa5a1a8a package/autoconf: disable gtkdocize integration
Since version 2.70 (which was skipped when bumping to 2.71 in ecd54b65c1)
autoreconf checks if a package uses gtkdoc by check if the macro GTK_DOC_CHECK
is used. If detected, gtkdocize will be run as part of the reconfiguration
process.

http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=autoconf.git;a=commit;h=dd880a0a6de5602cdd40b770ed6b083b34aa0768

If gtkdocize is not installed, this fails with:

Can't exec "gtkdocize": No such file or directory at /home/buildroot/autobuild/instance-1/output-1/host/share/autoconf/Autom4te/FileUtils.pm line 293.
autoreconf: error: gtkdocize failed with exit status: 2

Defining GTKDOCIZE ensures, that autoreconf succeeds without gtkdocize.

d255b67972 autotools: do not overwrite first include path
The first include path is special in aclocal. For example it is the path
for the --install option. Also, the first include is treated in a
special way if it doesn't exists. This might be the case if there is the
following construct:

  configure.ac: AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR([m4])
  Makefile.am: ACLOCAL_AMFLAGS="-I m4"

If the package doesn't have local macros, the m4/ directory might not
exist. aclocal will then just issue a warning instead of aborting the
execution with a fatal error. See discussion here:
  https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=565663

Don't use the "-I" option in aclocal. Instead use ACLOCAL_PATH to pass
the system-wide include dirs.

As a side effect this should fix the use of $(ACLOCAL) alone. Up until
now, $(ACLOCAL) didn't include the ACLOCAL_HOST_DIR system include path.

autoreconf will pass the "-I" options to every tool it runs, of which
aclocal, which, as seen above, we don't want. So move the argument down
to each individual tool, except for aclocal.

6c33512e01 automake: complete the removal of the target package
The variable ACLOCAL_DIR points to the staging area but is not useful
anymore because the target package was removed. Fix ACLOCAL_DIR by
pointing to $(HOST_DIR)/usr/share/aclocal and remove ACLOCAL_HOST_DIR
because ACLOCAL_DIR has the same value so it's not useful anymore.

Also remove the reference to ACLOCAL_HOST_DIR from the host-autoconf
package.

ba4ad9d27c deprecated handling: introduce BR2_DEPRECATED_SINCE_xxxx_xx
In order to keep better track of when a feature got deprecated, and hence
when it can be removed, a new set of symbols BR2_DEPRECATED_SINCE_xxxx_xx is
introduced. These symbols are automatically selected when BR2_DEPRECATED is
selected, and thus are transparent to the user.
A deprecated feature will no longer depend on BR2_DEPRECATED directly, but
rather on the appropriate BR2_DEPRECATED_SINCE_xxxx_xx. If that symbol does
not yet exist, it has to be created in Config.in.
When removing a deprecated feature, one should also check whether this was
the last feature using the BR2_DEPRECATED_SINCE_xxxx_xx symbol, in which
case the latter can be removed from Config.in.

A followup patch will make sure the overview is added to the list of
deprecated features in the manual, so that a buildroot core developer can
easily determine which features to remove in a given development cycle.

d2be9be63d autoconf: don't try to build Emacs files
When building autoconf for the target, we already passed EMACS="no" to
prevent autoconf from building Emacs mode files. But we weren't doing
that when building autoconf for the host. This causes problems when
'emacs' is not really emacs, but a sort of clone like Jove. So we also
pass EMACS="no" when building host-autoconf to avoid autoconf
./configure script from detecting emacs and then use it to build .elc
files from .el source code.

7ee8ebbd81 autoconf: use dummy autopoint
We currently don't build a host-gettext package, so when a package using
gettext is autoreconf'ed, we end up using autopoint from the host.

Autopoint unfortunately requires CVS, so if that isn't available autoreconf
fails.

From reading:

http://www.gnu.org/software/gnulib/manual/html_node/gettextize-and-autopoint.html

It seems that we don't really need to rerun autopoint, so fix it by
passing autopoint=/bin/true instead.
