SBC-4 r15 5.3 COMPARE AND WRITE command states: if the compare operation does not indicate a match, then terminate the command with CHECK CONDITION status with the sense key set to MISCOMPARE and the additional sense code set to MISCOMPARE DURING VERIFY OPERATION. In the sense data (see 4.18 and SPC-5) the offset from the start of the Data-Out Buffer to the first byte of data that was not equal shall be reported in the INFORMATION field. This change implements the missing logic to report the miscompare offset in the sense data INFORMATION field. As an optimization, byte-by-byte miscompare offset calculation is only performed after memcmp() mismatch. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
