This patch adds several definitions for device communication, including
I/O accessors and ioremap(). The __raw_* accessors are implemented as
inline asm to avoid compiler generation of post-indexed accesses (less
efficient to emulate in a virtualised environment).

This patch adds the TLB maintenance functions. There is no distinction
made between the I and D TLBs. TLB maintenance operations are
automatically broadcast between CPUs in hardware. The inner-shareable
operations are always present, even on UP systems.
NOTE: Large part of this patch to be dropped once Peter Z's generic
mmu_gather patches are merged.

The patch adds functionality required for cache maintenance. The AArch64
architecture mandates non-aliasing VIPT or PIPT D-cache and VIPT (may
have aliases) or ASID-tagged VIVT I-cache. Cache maintenance operations
are automatically broadcast in hardware between CPUs.

This patch adds AArch64 CPU specific functionality. It assumes that the
implementation is generic to AArch64 and does not require specific
identification. Different CPU implementations may require the setting of
various ACTLR_EL1 bits but such information is not currently available
and it should ideally be pushed to firmware.

The patch adds support for thread creation and context switching. The
context switching CPU specific code is introduced with the CPU support
patch (part of the arch/arm64/mm/proc.S file). AArch64 supports
ASID-tagged TLBs and the ASID can be either 8 or 16-bit wide (detectable
via the ID_AA64AFR0_EL1 register).

This patch adds support for the handling of the MMU faults (exception
entry code introduced by a previous patch) and page table management.
The user translation table is pointed to by TTBR0 and the kernel one
(swapper_pg_dir) by TTBR1. There is no translation information shared or
address space overlapping between user and kernel page tables.

This patch contains the initialisation of the memory blocks, MMU
attributes and the memory map. Only five memory types are defined:
Device nGnRnE (equivalent to Strongly Ordered), Device nGnRE (classic
Device memory), Device GRE, Normal Non-cacheable and Normal Cacheable.
Cache policies are supported via the memory attributes register
(MAIR_EL1) and only affect the Normal Cacheable mappings.
This patch also adds the SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP initialisation.

The virtual memory layout is described in
Documentation/arm64/memory.txt. This patch adds the MMU definitions for
the 4KB and 64KB translation table configurations. The SECTION_SIZE is
2MB with 4KB page and 512MB with 64KB page configuration.
PHYS_OFFSET is calculated at run-time and stored in a variable (no
run-time code patching at this stage).
On the current implementation, both user and kernel address spaces are
512G (39-bit) each with a maximum of 256G for the RAM linear mapping.
Linux uses 3 levels of translation tables with the 4K page configuration
and 2 levels with the 64K configuration. Extending the memory space
beyond 39-bit with the 4K pages or 42-bit with 64K pages requires an
additional level of translation tables.
The SPARSEMEM configuration is global to all AArch64 platforms and
allows for 1GB sections with SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP enabled by default.

structure and related accessors, undefined instruction trapping and
stack tracing.
AArch64 Linux kernel (including kernel threads) runs in EL1 mode using
the SP1 stack. The vectors don't have a fixed address, only alignment
(2^11) requirements.

For certain speculative events on Power7, 'perf stat' reports far higher
event count than 'perf record' for the same event.
As described in following commit, a performance monitor exception is raised
even when the the performance events are rolled back.

perf_event_interrupt() records an event only when an overflow occurs. But
this check for overflow is a simple 'if (val < 0)'.
Because the events are rolled back, this check for overflow fails and the
event is not recorded. perf_event_interrupt() later uses pmc_overflow() to
detect the overflow and resets the counters and the events are lost completely.
To properly detect the overflow of rolled back events, use pmc_overflow()
even when recording events.

Directly comparing current->personality against PER_LINUX32 doesn't work
in cases when any of the personality flags stored in the top three bytes
are used.
Directly forcefully setting personality to PER_LINUX32 or PER_LINUX
discards any flags stored in the top three bytes
Use personality() macro to compare only PER_MASK bytes and make sure that
we are setting only the bits that should be set, instead of overwriting
the whole value.

Checking for device mask to cover the whole IOMMU table is too strict.
IOMMU allocators should handle mask constraint properly for each
allocation.
The patch enables to use old AirPort Extreme cards on PowerMacs with
more than 1GB of memory; without the patch the driver init fails with:

For powerpc BooKE and e200, singlestep is handled on the critical/dbg
exception stack. This causes current_thread_info() to fail for kgdb
internal, so previously We work around this issue by copying
the thread_info from the kernel stack before calling kgdb_handle_exception,
and copying it back afterwards.
But actually we don't do this properly. We should backup current_thread_info
then restore that when exit.

The kgdb_single_step flag has the possibility to indefinitely
hang the system on an SMP system.
The x86 arch have the same problem, and that problem was fixed by
commit 8097551d9ab9b9e3630(kgdb,x86: do not set kgdb_single_step
on x86). This patch does the same behaviors as x86's patch.

Since the printk internals were reworked the xmon 'dl' command which
dumps the content of __log_buf has stopped working.
It is now a structured buffer, so just dumping it doesn't really work.
Use the helpers added for kgdb to print out the content.

Using 'select' in Kconfig is hard, a platform cannot just
enable a driver without also making sure that its subsystem
is there. Also, there is no actual code dependency between
the platform and the gpio leds driver.
Without this patch, building without LEDS_CLASS esults in:

to the other LED drivers that are already selected there.

The head-v7.S contains a call to the generic cpu_suspend function,
which is only available when selected by the i.MX6 code. As
pointed out by Shawn Guo, i.MX5 does not actually use any
functions defined in head-v7.S. It is also needed only for
the i.MX6 power management code and for the SMP code, so
we can restrict building this file to situations in which
at least one of those two is present.
Finally, other platforms with a similar file call it headsmp.S,
so we can rename it to the same for consistency.
Without this patch, building imx5 standalone results in:

The i.MX cpufreq implementation uses the CPU_FREQ_TABLE helpers,
so it needs to select that code to be built. This problem has
apparently existed since the i.MX cpufreq code was first merged
in v2.6.37.

The ksz9021rn_phy_fixup and mx6q_sabrelite functions try to
set up an ethernet phy if they can. They do check whether
phylib is enabled, but unfortunately the functions can only
be called from platform code if phylib is builtin, not
if it is a module

This moves the imx5 pm code out of the list of unconditionally
compiled files for imx5, mirroring what we already do for imx6
and how it was done before the code was move from mach-mx5 to
mach-imx in v3.3.

The new omap4 cpuidle implementation currently requires
ARCH_NEEDS_CPU_IDLE_COUPLED, which only works on SMP.
This patch makes it possible to build a non-SMP kernel
for that platform. This is not normally desired for
end-users but can be useful for testing.
Without this patch, building rand-0y2jSKT results in:
