d0be8347c6 Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix use-after-free caused by l2cap_chan_put
This fixes the following trace which is caused by hci_rx_work starting up
*after* the final channel reference has been put() during sock_close() but
*before* the references to the channel have been destroyed, so instead
the code now rely on kref_get_unless_zero/l2cap_chan_hold_unless_zero to
prevent referencing a channel that is about to be destroyed.

f764a6c2c1 Bluetooth: ISO: Add broadcast support
This adds broadcast support for BTPROTO_ISO by extending the
sockaddr_iso with a new struct sockaddr_iso_bc where the socket user
can set the broadcast address when receiving, the SID and the BIS
indexes it wants to synchronize.

When using BTPROTO_ISO for broadcast the roles are:

Broadcaster -> uses connect with address set to BDADDR_ANY:
> tools/isotest -s 00:00:00:00:00:00

Broadcast Receiver -> uses listen with address set to broadcaster:
> tools/isotest -d 00:AA:01:00:00:00

This feature indicates whether the device is able to support the

the quirk was introduced by 'commit cde1a8a992 ("Bluetooth: btusb: Fix

commands HCI_Read|Write_Default_Erroneous_Data_Reporting broken by BT
device driver, but the reason why these two HCI commands are broken is
that feature "Erroneous Data Reporting" is not enabled by firmware, this
scenario is illustrated by below log of QCA controllers with USB I/F:

9f30de9e03 Bluetooth: Collect kcov coverage from hci_rx_work
Annotate hci_rx_work() with kcov_remote_start() and kcov_remote_stop()

Coverage is associated with the thread which created the packet skb.

The collected extra coverage helps kernel fuzzing efforts in finding
vulnerabilities.

This change only has effect if the kernel is compiled with CONFIG_KCOV,
otherwise kcov_ functions don't do anything.

data, to fix that new flags are introduced which is used to mark when
the data changes and then checked to confirm when the data needs to be
synced with the controller.

e36bea6e78 Bluetooth: core: Fix deadlock on hci_power_on_sync.
`cancel_work_sync(&hdev->power_on)` was moved to hci_dev_close_sync in
commit [1] to ensure that power_on work is canceled after HCI interface
down.

But, in certain cases power_on work function may call hci_dev_close_sync
itself: hci_power_on -> hci_dev_do_close -> hci_dev_close_sync ->
cancel_work_sync(&hdev->power_on), causing deadlock. In particular, this
happens when device is rfkilled on boot. To avoid deadlock, move
power_on work canceling out of hci_dev_do_close/hci_dev_close_sync.

Deadlock introduced by commit [1] was reported in [2,3] as broken
suspend. Suspend did not work because `hdev->req_lock` held as result of
`power_on` work deadlock. In fact, other BT features were not working.
It was not observed when testing [1] since it was verified without
rfkill in place.

NOTE: It is not needed to cancel power_on work from other places where
hci_dev_do_close/hci_dev_close_sync is called in case:
* Requests were serialized due to `hdev->req_workqueue`. The power_on
work is first in that workqueue.
* hci_rfkill_set_block which won't close device anyway until HCI_SETUP
is on.
* hci_sock_release which runs after hci_sock_bind which ensures
HCI_SETUP was cleared.

As result, behaviour is the same as in pre-dd06ed7 commit, except
power_on work cancel added to hci_dev_close.

e1cff7002b bluetooth: don't use bitmaps for random flag accesses
The bluetooth code uses our bitmap infrastructure for the two bits (!)
of connection setup flags, and in the process causes odd problems when
it converts between a bitmap and just the regular values of said bits.

It's completely pointless to do things like bitmap_to_arr32() to convert
a bitmap into a u32. It shoudln't have been a bitmap in the first
place. The reason to use bitmaps is if you have arbitrary number of
bits you want to manage (not two!), or if you rely on the atomicity
guarantees of the bitmap setting and clearing.

The code could use an "atomic_t" and use "atomic_or/andnot()" to set and
clear the bit values, but considering that it then copies the bitmaps
around with "bitmap_to_arr32()" and friends, there clearly cannot be a
lot of atomicity requirements.

So just use a regular integer.

In the process, this avoids the warnings about erroneous use of
bitmap_from_u64() which were triggered on 32-bit architectures when
conversion from a u64 would access two words (and, surprise, surprise,
only one word is needed - and indeed overkill - for a 2-bit bitmap).

That was always problematic, but the compiler seems to notice it and
warn about the invalid pattern only after commit 0a97953fd2 ("lib: add
bitmap_{from,to}_arr64") changed the exact implementation details of
'bitmap_from_u64()', as reported by Sudip Mukherjee and Stephen Rothwell.

c86cc5a3ec Bluetooth: hci_event: Fix checking for invalid handle on error status
Commit d5ebaa7c5f introduces checks for handle range
(e.g HCI_CONN_HANDLE_MAX) but controllers like Intel AX200 don't seem
to respect the valid range int case of error status:

> HCI Event: Connect Complete (0x03) plen 11
        Status: Page Timeout (0x04)
        Handle: 65535
        Address: 94:DB:56:XX:XX:XX (Sony Home Entertainment&
	Sound Products Inc)
        Link type: ACL (0x01)
        Encryption: Disabled (0x00)
[1644965.827560] Bluetooth: hci0: Ignoring HCI_Connection_Complete for invalid handle

Because of it is impossible to cleanup the connections properly since
the stack would attempt to cancel the connection which is no longer in
progress causing the following trace:

< HCI Command: Create Connection Cancel (0x01|0x0008) plen 6
        Address: 94:DB:56:XX:XX:XX (Sony Home Entertainment&

f4b41f062c net: remove noblock parameter from skb_recv_datagram()
skb_recv_datagram() has two parameters 'flags' and 'noblock' that are
merged inside skb_recv_datagram() by 'flags | (noblock ? MSG_DONTWAIT : 0)'

As 'flags' may contain MSG_DONTWAIT as value most callers split the 'flags'
into 'flags' and 'noblock' with finally obsolete bit operations like this:

skb_recv_datagram(sk, flags & ~MSG_DONTWAIT, flags & MSG_DONTWAIT, &rc);

And this is not even done consistently with the 'flags' parameter.

This patch removes the obsolete and costly splitting into two parameters
and only performs bit operations when really needed on the caller side.

One missing conversion thankfully reported by kernel test robot. I missed
to enable kunit tests to build the mctp code.

9fa6b4cda3 Bluetooth: call hci_le_conn_failed with hdev lock in hci_le_conn_failed
hci_le_conn_failed function's documentation says that the caller must
hold hdev->lock. The only callsite that does not hold that lock is
hci_le_conn_failed. The other 3 callsites hold the hdev->lock very
locally. The solution is to hold the lock during the call to

728abc0151 Bluetooth: hci_event: Add missing locking on hdev in hci_le_ext_adv_term_evt
Both hci_find_adv_instance and hci_remove_adv_instance have a comment
above their function definition saying that these two functions require
the caller to hold the hdev->lock lock. However, hci_le_ext_adv_term_evt
does not acquire that lock and neither does its caller hci_le_meta_evt
(hci_le_meta_evt calls hci_le_ext_adv_term_evt via an indirect function
call because of the lookup in hci_le_ev_table).

The other event handlers all acquire and release the hdev->lock and they
follow the rule that hci_find_adv_instance and hci_remove_adv_instance
must be called while holding the hdev->lock lock.

The solution is to make sure hci_le_ext_adv_term_evt also acquires and
releases the hdev->lock lock. The check on ev->status which logs a
warning and does an early return is not covered by the lock because
other functions also access ev->status without holding the lock.

hci_cmd_sync_queue can be called multiple times, each adding a
hci_cmd_sync_work_entry, before hci_cmd_sync_work is run so this makes
sure they are all dequeued properly otherwise it creates a backlog of
entries that are never run.

275f3f6487 Bluetooth: Fix not checking MGMT cmd pending queue
A number of places in the MGMT handlers we examine the command queue for
other commands (in progress but not yet complete) that will interact
with the process being performed. However, not all commands go into the
queue if one of:

1. There is no negative side effect of consecutive or redundent commands
2. The command is entirely perform "inline".

This change examines each "pending command" check, and if it is not
needed, deletes the check. Of the remaining pending command checks, we
make sure that the command is in the pending queue by using the
mgmt_pending_add/mgmt_pending_remove pair rather than the
mgmt_pending_new/mgmt_pending_free pair.

fa78d2d1d6 Bluetooth: fix data races in smp_unregister(), smp_del_chan()
Previous commit e04480920d ("Bluetooth: defer cleanup of resources
in hci_unregister_dev()") defers all destructive actions to
hci_release_dev() to prevent cocurrent problems like NPD, UAF.

However, there are still some exceptions that are ignored.

The smp_unregister() in hci_dev_close_sync() (previously in
hci_dev_do_close) will release resources like the sensitive channel
and the smp_dev objects. Consider the situations the device is detaching
or power down while the kernel is still operating on it, the following
data race could take place.

thread-A  hci_dev_close_sync  | thread-B  read_local_oob_ext_data
                              |
hci_dev_unlock()              |
...                           | hci_dev_lock()
if (hdev->smp_data)           |
  chan = hdev->smp_data       |
                              | chan = hdev->smp_data (3)
                              |
  hdev->smp_data = NULL (1)   | if (!chan || !chan->data) (4)
  ...                         |
  smp = chan->data            | smp = chan->data
  if (smp)                    |
    chan->data = NULL (2)     |
    ...                       |
    kfree_sensitive(smp)      |
                              | // dereference smp trigger UFA

That is, the objects hdev->smp_data and chan->data both suffer from the
data races. In a preempt-enable kernel, the above schedule (when (3) is
before (1) and (4) is before (2)) leads to UAF bugs. It can be
reproduced in the latest kernel and below is part of the report:

To solve these data races, this patch places the smp_unregister()
function in the protected area by the hci_dev_lock(). That is, the
smp_unregister() function can not be concurrently executed when
operating functions (most of them are mgmt operations in mgmt.c) hold
the device lock.

This patch is tested with kernel LOCK DEBUGGING enabled. The price from
the extended holding time of the device lock is supposed to be low as the
smp_unregister() function is fairly short and efficient.

35ce8ae9ae Merge branch 'signal-for-v5.17' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/ebiederm/user-namespace
Pull signal/exit/ptrace updates from Eric Biederman:
 "This set of changes deletes some dead code, makes a lot of cleanups
  which hopefully make the code easier to follow, and fixes bugs found
  along the way.

  The end-game which I have not yet reached yet is for fatal signals
  that generate coredumps to be short-circuit deliverable from
  complete_signal, for force_siginfo_to_task not to require changing
  userspace configured signal delivery state, and for the ptrace stops
  to always happen in locations where we can guarantee on all
  architectures that the all of the registers are saved and available on
  the stack.

  Removal of profile_task_ext, profile_munmap, and profile_handoff_task
  are the big successes for dead code removal this round.

  A bunch of small bug fixes are included, as most of the issues
  reported were small enough that they would not affect bisection so I
  simply added the fixes and did not fold the fixes into the changes
  they were fixing.

  There was a bug that broke coredumps piped to systemd-coredump. I
  dropped the change that caused that bug and replaced it entirely with
  something much more restrained. Unfortunately that required some
  rebasing.

  Some successes after this set of changes: There are few enough calls
  to do_exit to audit in a reasonable amount of time. The lifetime of
  struct kthread now matches the lifetime of struct task, and the
  pointer to struct kthread is no longer stored in set_child_tid. The
  flag SIGNAL_GROUP_COREDUMP is removed. The field group_exit_task is
  removed. Issues where task->exit_code was examined with
  signal->group_exit_code should been examined were fixed.

  There are several loosely related changes included because I am
  cleaning up and if I don't include them they will probably get lost.

This event is just specified for SCO and eSCO link types.

b6459415b3 net: Don't include filter.h from net/sock.h
sock.h is pretty heavily used (5k objects rebuilt on x86 after
it's touched). We can drop the include of filter.h from it and
add a forward declaration of struct sk_filter instead.
This decreases the number of rebuilt objects when bpf.h
is touched from ~5k to ~1k.

There's a lot of missing includes this was masking. Primarily
in networking tho, this time.

899663be5e Bluetooth: refactor malicious adv data check

check to beginning of loop processing so that it doesn't get checked
after ptr has been advanced.
