8680407b6f xfrm: Check if_id in inbound policy/secpath match
This change ensures that if configured in the policy, the if_id set in
the policy and secpath states match during the inbound policy check.
Without this, there is potential for ambiguity where entries in the
secpath differing by only the if_id could be mismatched.

Notably, this is checked in the outbound direction when resolving
templates to SAs, but not on the inbound path when matching SAs and
policies.

3d776e31c8 xfrm: Reject optional tunnel/BEET mode templates in outbound policies
xfrm_state_find() uses `encap_family` of the current template with
the passed local and remote addresses to find a matching state.
If an optional tunnel or BEET mode template is skipped in a mixed-family
scenario, there could be a mismatch causing an out-of-bounds read as
the addresses were not replaced to match the family of the next template.

While there are theoretical use cases for optional templates in outbound
policies, the only practical one is to skip IPComp states in inbound
policies if uncompressed packets are received that are handled by an
implicitly created IPIP state instead.

5fc46f9421 Revert "Fix XFRM-I support for nested ESP tunnels"
This reverts commit b0355dbbf1.

The reverted commit clears the secpath on packets received via xfrm interfaces
to support nested IPsec tunnels. This breaks Netfilter policy matching using
xt_policy in the FORWARD chain, as the secpath is missing during forwarding.
Additionally, Benedict Wong reports that it breaks Transport-in-Tunnel mode.

Fix this regression by reverting the commit until we have a better approach
for nested IPsec tunnels.

Failure to add offloaded policy will cause to the following

This was caused by xfrm_dev_policy_add() which increments reference

430cac4874 xfrm: don't check the default policy if the policy allows the packet
The current code doesn't let a simple "allow" policy counteract a
default policy blocking all incoming packets:

ip x p setdefault in block
    ip x p a src 192.168.2.1/32 dst 192.168.2.2/32 dir in action allow

At this stage, we have an allow policy (with or without transforms)
for this packet. It doesn't matter what the default policy says, since
the policy we looked up lets the packet through. The case of a
blocking policy is already handled separately, so we can remove this
check.

So relax current check for existence of that callback.

The inner/outer modes were added to abstract out common code that

abstractions have been removed and we are now left with empty

removed one-by-one as the same information is already present

Just like the input-side, removing this from the output code
makes it possible to use transport-mode SAs underneath an

Removing them from the input path actually allows certain valid
combinations that are currently disallowed. In particular, when
a transport mode SA sits beneath a tunnel mode SA that changes
address families, at present the transport mode SA cannot have
AF_UNSPEC as its selector because it will be erroneously be treated
as inter-family itself even though it simply sits beneath one.

This is a serious problem because you can't set the selector to
non-AF_UNSPEC either as that will cause the selector match to
fail as we always match selectors to the inner-most traffic.

pull-request: bpf-next 2023-02-11

We've added 96 non-merge commits during the last 14 day(s) which contain
a total of 152 files changed, 4884 insertions(+), 962 deletions(-).

There is a minor conflict in drivers/net/ethernet/intel/ice/ice_main.c
between commit 5b246e533d ("ice: split probe into smaller functions")
from the net-next tree and commit 66c0e13ad2 ("drivers: net: turn on
XDP features") from the bpf-next tree. Remove the hunk given ice_cfg_netdev()
is otherwise there a 2nd time, and add XDP features to the existing
ice_cfg_netdev() one:

        [...]
        ice_set_netdev_features(netdev);
        netdev->xdp_features = NETDEV_XDP_ACT_BASIC | NETDEV_XDP_ACT_REDIRECT |
                               NETDEV_XDP_ACT_XSK_ZEROCOPY;
        ice_set_ops(netdev);
        [...]

Stephen's merge conflict mail:
https://lore.kernel.org/bpf/20230207101951.21a114fa@canb.auug.org.au/

The main changes are:

1) Add support for BPF trampoline on s390x which finally allows to remove many
test cases from the BPF CI's DENYLIST.s390x, from Ilya Leoshkevich.

2) Add multi-buffer XDP support to ice driver, from Maciej Fijalkowski.

3) Add capability to export the XDP features supported by the NIC.
Along with that, add a XDP compliance test tool,
from Lorenzo Bianconi & Marek Majtyka.

4) Add __bpf_kfunc tag for marking kernel functions as kfuncs,
   from David Vernet.

5) Add a deep dive documentation about the verifier's register
liveness tracking algorithm, from Eduard Zingerman.

6) Fix and follow-up cleanups for resolve_btfids to be compiled
as a host program to avoid cross compile issues,
from Jiri Olsa & Ian Rogers.

7) Batch of fixes to the BPF selftest for xdp_hw_metadata which resulted
when testing on different NICs, from Jesper Dangaard Brouer.

8) Fix libbpf to better detect kernel version code on Debian, from Hao Xiang.

9) Extend libbpf to add an option for when the perf buffer should
   wake up, from Jon Doron.

10) Follow-up fix on xdp_metadata selftest to just consume on TX
    completion, from Stanislav Fomichev.

11) Extend the kfuncs.rst document with description on kfunc
lifecycle & stability expectations, from David Vernet.

12) Fix bpftool prog profile to skip attaching to offline CPUs,

028fb19c6b netlink: provide an ability to set default extack message
In netdev common pattern, extack pointer is forwarded to the drivers
to be filled with error message. However, the caller can easily
overwrite the filled message.

Instead of adding multiple "if (!extack->_msg)" checks before any
NL_SET_ERR_MSG() call, which appears after call to the driver, let's
add new macro to common code.

b0355dbbf1 Fix XFRM-I support for nested ESP tunnels
This change adds support for nested IPsec tunnels by ensuring that
XFRM-I verifies existing policies before decapsulating a subsequent
policies. Addtionally, this clears the secpath entries after policies
are verified, ensuring that previous tunnels with no-longer-valid
do not pollute subsequent policy checks.

This is necessary especially for nested tunnels, as the IP addresses,
protocol and ports may all change, thus not matching the previous
policies. In order to ensure that packets match the relevant inbound
templates, the xfrm_policy_check should be done before handing off to
the inner XFRM protocol to decrypt and decapsulate.

Notably, raw ESP/AH packets did not perform policy checks inherently,
whereas all other encapsulated packets (UDP, TCP encapsulated) do policy
checks after calling xfrm_input handling in the respective encapsulation
layer.

98123866fc Treewide: Stop corrupting socket's task_frag
Since moving to memalloc_nofs_save/restore, SUNRPC has stopped setting the
GFP_NOIO flag on sk_allocation which the networking system uses to decide
when it is safe to use current->task_frag. The results of this are
unexpected corruption in task_frag when SUNRPC is involved in memory
reclaim.

The corruption can be seen in crashes, but the root cause is often
difficult to ascertain as a crashing machine's stack trace will have no
evidence of being near NFS or SUNRPC code. I believe this problem to
be much more pervasive than reports to the community may indicate.

Fix this by having kernel users of sockets that may corrupt task_frag due
to reclaim set sk_use_task_frag = false. Preemptively correcting this
situation for users that still set sk_allocation allows them to convert to
memalloc_nofs_save/restore without the same unexpected corruptions that are
sure to follow, unlikely to show up in testing, and difficult to bisect.

Merge tag 'random-6.2-rc1-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/crng/random

Pull random number generator updates from Jason Donenfeld:

 - Replace prandom_u32_max() and various open-coded variants of it,
there is now a new family of functions that uses fast rejection
sampling to choose properly uniformly random numbers within an
   interval:

       get_random_u32_below(ceil) - [0, ceil)
       get_random_u32_above(floor) - (floor, U32_MAX]
       get_random_u32_inclusive(floor, ceil) - [floor, ceil]

Coccinelle was used to convert all current users of
prandom_u32_max(), as well as many open-coded patterns, resulting in
   improvements throughout the tree.

I'll have a "late" 6.1-rc1 pull for you that removes the now unused
prandom_u32_max() function, just in case any other trees add a new
use case of it that needs to converted. According to linux-next,
there may be two trivial cases of prandom_u32_max() reintroductions
that are fixable with a 's/.../.../'. So I'll have for you a final
conversion patch doing that alongside the removal patch during the
   second week.

This is a treewide change that touches many files throughout.

 - More consistent use of get_random_canary().

 - Updates to comments, documentation, tests, headers, and
   simplification in configuration.

 - The arch_get_random*_early() abstraction was only used by arm64 and
wasn't entirely useful, so this has been replaced by code that works
   in all relevant contexts.

 - The kernel will use and manage random seeds in non-volatile EFI
variables, refreshing a variable with a fresh seed when the RNG is
initialized. The RNG GUID namespace is then hidden from efivarfs to
   prevent accidental leakage.

These changes are split into random.c infrastructure code used in the
EFI subsystem, in this pull request, and related support inside of
EFISTUB, in Ard's EFI tree. These are co-dependent for full
functionality, but the order of merging doesn't matter.

 - Part of the infrastructure added for the EFI support is also used for
an improvement to the way vsprintf initializes its siphash key,
   replacing an sleep loop wart.

 - The hardware RNG framework now always calls its correct random.c
input function, add_hwgenerator_randomness(), rather than sometimes
going through helpers better suited for other cases.

 - The add_latent_entropy() function has long been called from the fork
handler, but is a no-op when the latent entropy gcc plugin isn't
used, which is fine for the purposes of latent entropy.

But it was missing out on the cycle counter that was also being mixed
in beside the latent entropy variable. So now, if the latent entropy
gcc plugin isn't enabled, add_latent_entropy() will expand to a call
to add_device_randomness(NULL, 0), which adds a cycle counter,
without the absent latent entropy variable.

 - The RNG is now reseeded from a delayed worker, rather than on demand
when used. Always running from a worker allows it to make use of the
CPU RNG on platforms like S390x, whose instructions are too slow to
do so from interrupts. It also has the effect of adding in new inputs
more frequently with more regularity, amounting to a long term
transcript of random values. Plus, it helps a bit with the upcoming
vDSO implementation (which isn't yet ready for 6.2).

 - The jitter entropy algorithm now tries to execute on many different
CPUs, round-robining, in hopes of hitting even more memory latencies
and other unpredictable effects. It also will mix in a cycle counter
when the entropy timer fires, in addition to being mixed in from the
main loop, to account more explicitly for fluctuations in that timer
firing. And the state it touches is now kept within the same cache
line, so that it's assured that the different execution contexts will
   cause latencies.

94151f5aa9 xfrm: interface: Add unstable helpers for setting/getting XFRM metadata from TC-BPF
This change adds xfrm metadata helpers using the unstable kfunc call
interface for the TC-BPF hooks. This allows steering traffic towards
different IPsec connections based on logic implemented in bpf programs.

This object is built based on the availability of BTF debug info.

When setting the xfrm metadata, percpu metadata dsts are used in order
to avoid allocating a metadata dst per packet.

In order to guarantee safe module unload, the percpu dsts are allocated
on first use and never freed. The percpu pointer is stored in
net/core/filter.c so that it can be reused on module reload.

The metadata percpu dsts take ownership of the original skb dsts so
that they may be used as part of the xfrm transmission logic - e.g.
for MTU calculations.

f3da86dc2c xfrm: add support to HW update soft and hard limits
Both in RX and TX, the traffic that performs IPsec packet offload
transformation is accounted by HW. It is needed to properly handle
hard limits that require to drop the packet.

It means that XFRM core needs to update internal counters with the one
that accounted by the HW, so new callbacks are introduced in this patch.

In case of soft or hard limit is occurred, the driver should call to
xfrm_state_check_expire() that will perform key rekeying exactly as
done by XFRM core.

3c611d40c6 xfrm: speed-up lookup of HW policies
Devices that implement IPsec packet offload mode should offload SA and
policies too. In RX path, it causes to the situation that HW will always
have higher priority over any SW policies.

It means that we don't need to perform any search of inexact policies
and/or priority checks if HW policy was discovered. In such situation,
the HW will catch the packets anyway and HW can still implement inexact
lookups.

In case specific policy is not found, we will continue with packet lookup and
check for existence of HW policies in inexact list.

HW policies are added to the head of SPD to ensure fast lookup, as XFRM
iterates over all policies in the loop.

The same solution of adding HW SAs at the begging of the list is applied
to SA database too. However, we don't need to change lookups as they are
sorted by insertion order and not priority.

f8a70afafc xfrm: add TX datapath support for IPsec packet offload mode
In IPsec packet mode, the device is going to encrypt and encapsulate
packets that are associated with offloaded policy. After successful
policy lookup to indicate if packets should be offloaded or not,
the stack forwards packets to the device to do the magic.

62f6eca5de xfrm: allow state packet offload mode
Allow users to configure xfrm states with packet offload mode.
The packet mode must be requested both for policy and state, and
such requires us to do not implement fallback.

We explicitly return an error if requested packet mode can't
be configured.

d14f28b8c1 xfrm: add new packet offload flag
In the next patches, the xfrm core code will be extended to support
new type of offload - packet offload. In that mode, both policy and state
should be specially configured in order to perform whole offloaded data
path.

Full offload takes care of encryption, decryption, encapsulation and
other operations with headers.

As this mode is new for XFRM policy flow, we can "start fresh" with flag
bits and release first and second bit for future use.

de4eda9de2 use less confusing names for iov_iter direction initializers
READ/WRITE proved to be actively confusing - the meanings are
"data destination, as used with read(2)" and "data source, as
used with write(2)", but people keep interpreting those as
"we read data from it" and "we write data to it", i.e. exactly
the wrong way.

Call them ITER_DEST and ITER_SOURCE - at least that is harder
to misinterpret...
