Correct the spec_ctrl field in the VMCB save area based on the AMD
Programmer's manual.
Originally, the spec_ctrl was listed as u32 with 4 bytes of reserved
area. The AMD Programmer's Manual now lists the spec_ctrl as 8 bytes
in VMCB save area.
The Public Processor Programming reference for Genoa, shows SPEC_CTRL
as 64b register, but the AMD Programmer's Manual lists SPEC_CTRL as
32b register. This discrepancy will be cleaned up in next revision of
the AMD Programmer's Manual.
Since remaining bits above bit 7 are reserved bits in SPEC_CTRL MSR
and thus, not being used, the spec_ctrl added as u32 in the VMCB save
area is currently not an issue.

Update the target pCPU for IOMMU doorbells when updating IRTE routing if
KVM is actively running the associated vCPU. KVM currently only updates
the pCPU when loading the vCPU (via avic_vcpu_load()), and so doorbell
events will be delayed until the vCPU goes through a put+load cycle (which
might very well "never" happen for the lifetime of the VM).
To avoid inserting a stale pCPU, e.g. due to racing between updating IRTE
routing and vCPU load/put, get the pCPU information from the vCPU's
Physical APIC ID table entry (a.k.a. avic_physical_id_cache in KVM) and
update the IRTE while holding ir_list_lock. Add comments with --verbose
enabled to explain exactly what is and isn't protected by ir_list_lock.

Hoist the acquisition of ir_list_lock from avic_update_iommu_vcpu_affinity()
to its two callers, avic_vcpu_load() and avic_vcpu_put(), specifically to
encapsulate the write to the vCPU's entry in the AVIC Physical ID table.
This will allow a future fix to pull information from the Physical ID entry
when updating the IRTE, without potentially consuming stale information,
i.e. without racing with the vCPU being (un)loaded.
Add a comment to call out that ir_list_lock does NOT protect against
multiple writers, specifically that reading the Physical ID entry in
avic_vcpu_put() outside of the lock is safe.
To preserve some semblance of independence from ir_list_lock, keep the
READ_ONCE() in avic_vcpu_load() even though acuiring the spinlock
effectively ensures the load(s) will be generated after acquiring the
lock.

Bail early from svm_enable_nmi_window() for SEV-ES guests without trying
to enable single-step of the guest, as single-stepping an SEV-ES guest is
impossible and the guest is responsible for *telling* KVM when it is ready
for an new NMI to be injected.
Functionally, setting TF and RF in svm->vmcb->save.rflags is benign as the

Immediately mark NMIs as unmasked in response to #VMGEXIT(NMI complete)
instead of setting awaiting_iret_completion and waiting until the *next*
VM-Exit to unmask NMIs. The whole point of "NMI complete" is that the
guest is responsible for telling the hypervisor when it's safe to inject
an NMI, i.e. there's no need to wait. And because there's no IRET to
single-step, the next VM-Exit could be a long time coming, i.e. KVM could
incorrectly hold an NMI pending for far longer than what is required and
expected.

Add support for "DebugSwap for SEV-ES guests", which provides support
for swapping DR[0-3] and DR[0-3]_ADDR_MASK on VMRUN and VMEXIT, i.e.
allows KVM to expose debug capabilities to SEV-ES guests. Without
DebugSwap support, the CPU doesn't save/load most _guest_ debug
registers (except DR6/7), and KVM cannot manually context switch guest
DRs due the VMSA being encrypted.
Enable DebugSwap if and only if the CPU also supports NoNestedDataBp,
which causes the CPU to ignore nested #DBs, i.e. #DBs that occur when
vectoring a #DB. Without NoNestedDataBp, a malicious guest can DoS
the host by putting the CPU into an infinite loop of vectoring #DBs
(see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1278496)
Set the features bit in sev_es_sync_vmsa() which is the last point
when VMSA is not encrypted yet as sev_(es_)init_vmcb() (where the most
init happens) is called not only when VCPU is initialised but also on
intrahost migration when VMSA is encrypted.
Eliminate DR7 intercepts as KVM can't modify guest DR7, and intercepting
DR7 would completely defeat the purpose of enabling DebugSwap.
Make X86_FEATURE_DEBUG_SWAP appear in /proc/cpuinfo (by not adding "") to
let the operator know if the VM can debug.

init_vmcb() -> sev_init_vmcb() -> sev_es_init_vmcb()

is DR intercepts which is for SEV-ES before sev_es_init_vmcb() runs.
Move the SEV-ES intercept setup to sev_es_init_vmcb(). From now on

SVM/SEV enable debug registers intercepts to skip swapping DRs
on entering/exiting the guest. When the guest is in control of
debug registers (vcpu->guest_debug == 0), there is an optimisation to
reduce the number of context switches: intercepts are cleared and
the KVM_DEBUGREG_WONT_EXIT flag is set to tell KVM to do swapping
on guest enter/exit.
The same code also executes for SEV-ES, however it has no effect as
- it always takes (vcpu->guest_debug == 0) branch;
- KVM_DEBUGREG_WONT_EXIT is set but DR7 intercept is not cleared;
- vcpu_enter_guest() writes DRs but VMRUN for SEV-ES swaps them
with the values from _encrypted_ VMSA.
Be explicit about SEV-ES not supporting debug:
- return right away from dr_interception() and skip unnecessary processing;
- return an error right away from the KVM_SEV_LAUNCH_UPDATE_VMSA handler
if debugging was already enabled.
KVM_SET_GUEST_DEBUG are failing already after KVM_SEV_LAUNCH_UPDATE_VMSA
is finished due to vcpu->arch.guest_state_protected set to true.
Add WARN_ON to kvm_x86::sync_dirty_debug_regs() (saves guest DRs on
guest exit) to signify that SEV-ES won't hit that path.

This will require longer buffer in the array case.

. Fix to update dynamic used data size counter only if fetcharg uses

. Revert "tracing: Add "(fault)" name injection to kernel probes"
because that did not work correctly with a bug, and we agreed the

. Fix to record 0-length (means fault access) data_loc data in fetch

array of string, this will fix to save fault access data on each
entry of the array correctly.

iommu: Fix crash during syfs iommu_groups/N/type
The primary bug Alyssa noticed was that with FineIBT enabled function
prologues have a spurious ENDBR instruction:
__cfi_foo:
endbr64
subl $hash, %r10d
jz 1f
ud2
nop
1:
foo:
endbr64 <--- *sadface*
This means that any indirect call that fails to target the __cfi symbol
and instead targets (the regular old) foo+0, will succeed due to that
second ENDBR.
Fixing this lead to the discovery of a single indirect call that was
still doing this: ret_from_fork(), since that's an assembly stub the
compmiler would not generate the proper kCFI indirect call magic and it
would not get patched.
Brian came up with the most comprehensive fix -- convert the thing to C
with only a very thin asm wrapper. This ensures the kernel thread
boostrap is a proper kCFI call.
While discussing all this, Kees noted that kCFI hashes could/should be
poisoned to seal all functions whose address is never taken, further
limiting the valid kCFI targets -- much like we already do for IBT.
So what was a 'simple' observation and fix cascaded into a bunch of
inter-related CFI infrastructure fixes.

When the number of responses with status of STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT
exceeds a specified threshold (NUM_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT), we reconnect
the connection. But we do not return the mid, or the credits
returned for the mid, or reduce the number of in-flight requests.
This bug could result in the server->in_flight count to go bad,
and also cause a leak in the mids.
This change moves the check to a few lines below where the
response is decrypted, even of the response is read from the
transform header. This way, the code for returning the mids
can be reused.
Also, the cifs_reconnect was reconnecting just the transport
connection before. In case of multi-channel, this may not be
what we want to do after several timeouts. Changed that to
reconnect the session and the tree too.
Also renamed NUM_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT to a more appropriate name
MAX_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT.

Currently, is_network_name_deleted and it's implementations
do not return anything if the network name did get deleted.
So the function doesn't fully achieve what it advertizes.
Changed the function to return a bool instead. It will now
return true if the error returned is STATUS_NETWORK_NAME_DELETED
and the share (tree id) was found to be connected. It returns
false otherwise.

We used to insert the data commands following a pre-flush to the head
of the queue until commit 1e82fadfc6 ("blk-mq: do not do head insertions
post-pre-flush commands"). Not doing this seems to cause hangs of
such commands on NFS workloads when exported from file systems with
SATA SSDs. I have no idea why this would starve these workloads,
but doing a semantic revert of this patch (which looks quite different
due to various other changes) fixes the hangs.

The ida_alloc_range() function returns negative error codes on error.
On success it returns values in the min to max range (inclusive). It
never returns more then INT_MAX even if "max" is higher. It never
returns values in the 0 to (min - 1) range.
The bug is that "min" is an unsigned int so negative error codes will
be promoted to high positive values errors treated as success.

Fix to record 0-length data to data_loc in fetch_store_string*() if it fails
to get the string data.
Currently those expect that the data_loc is updated by store_trace_args() if
it returns the error code. However, that does not work correctly if the
argument is an array of strings. In that case, store_trace_args() only clears
the first entry of the array (which may have no error) and leaves other
entries. So it should be cleared by fetch_store_string*() itself.
Also, 'dyndata' and 'maxlen' in store_trace_args() should be updated
only if it is used (ret > 0 and argument is a dynamic data.)

When creating a user event, the "struct" keyword is to denote
that the size of the field will be passed in. But the parsing
failed to handle this case.
- Add selftest to struct sizes for user events
- Fix sample code for direct trampolines.
The sample code for direct trampolines attached to handle_mm_fault().

- Remove unused ftrace_regs_caller_ret() prototype.
- Quiet false positive of FORTIFY_SOURCE
Due to backward compatibility, the structure used to save stack traces
in the kernel had a fixed size of 8. This structure is exported to
user space via the tracing format file. A change was made to allow
more than 8 functions to be recorded, and user space now uses the
size field to know how many functions are actually in the stack.
But the structure still has size of 8 (even though it points into
the ring buffer that has the required amount allocated to hold a
full stack. This was fine until the fortifier noticed that the
memcpy(&entry->caller, stack, size) was greater than the 8 functions
and would complain at runtime about it. Hide this by using a pointer
to the stack location on the ring buffer instead of using the address
of the entry structure caller field.
- Fix a deadloop in reading trace_pipe that was caused by a mismatch
between ring_buffer_empty() returning false which then asked to

returned zero, and causing a infinite "retry".

ftrace functions, where this can happen if the linker inserts a bunch of
"NULL" entries, causing the accounting of how many pages needed
to be off.
