Replace the .round_rate() callback with .determine_rate() which can
consider max_rate imposed by clk_set_max_rate() while rounding the clock
rate.
Note that if the .determine_rate() callback is defined it will be called
instead of the .round_rate() callback when calling clk_round_rate(). By
using .determine_rate(), the maximum rate returned when calling
clk_round_rate() is now limited by the current max_rate.

Current clock initialization causes intermediate registering of orphan
clocks (i.e. a clock without a parent registered). CCF keeps track of
orphan clocks and any time a new clock is registered, it will loop
through the list of orphan and queries if the parent is now available.
This operation triggers one or more clock operations, which are IPCs
with BPMP-FW. Hence, due to the order in which the clocks appear
currently, this causes > 5000 IPC messages to be sent to BPMP-FW during
clock initialization.
Optimize the clock probing by registering clocks hierarchically from
root clock towards leafs.

Commit 4782c0a5dd ("clk: tegra: Don't deassert reset on enabling

clocks. This breaks the initialization of the DFLL driver which relied
on this behaviour.
Fix this problem by adding explicit deassert/assert requests to the
driver. Tested on Google Pixel C.

The Clock-and-Reset controller resides in a core power domain on NVIDIA
Tegra SoCs. In order to support voltage scaling of the core power domain,
we hook up DVFS-capable clocks to the core GENPD for managing of the
GENPD's performance state based on the clock changes.
Some clocks don't have any specific physical hardware unit that backs
them, like root PLLs and system clock and they have theirs own voltage
requirements. This patch adds new clk-device driver that backs the clocks
and provides runtime PM functionality for them. A virtual clk-device is
created for each such DVFS-capable clock at the clock's registration time
by the new tegra_clk_register() helper. Driver changes clock's device
GENPD performance state based on clk-rate notifications.
In result we have this sequence of events:
1. Clock driver creates virtual device for selective clocks, enables
runtime PM for the created device and registers the clock.
2. Clk-device driver starts to listen to clock rate changes.
3. Something changes clk rate or enables/disables clk.
4. CCF core propagates the change through the clk tree.
5. Clk-device driver gets clock rate-change notification or GENPD core
handles prepare/unprepare of the clock.
6. Clk-device driver changes GENPD performance state on clock rate
change.
7. GENPD driver changes voltage regulator state change.
8. The regulator state is committed to hardware via I2C.
We rely on fact that DVFS is not needed for Tegra I2C and that Tegra I2C
driver already keeps clock always-prepared. Hence I2C subsystem stays
independent from the clk power management and there are no deadlock spots
in the sequence.
Currently all clocks are registered very early during kernel boot when the
device driver core isn't available yet. The clk-device can't be created
at that time. This patch splits the registration of the clocks in two
phases:
1. Register all essential clocks which don't use RPM and are needed
during early boot.
2. Register at a later boot time the rest of clocks.
This patch adds power management support for Tegra20 and Tegra30 clocks.

The purpose of the device-managed functions is to bind the life-time of an
object to that of a parent device object.
This is not the case for the 'vdd-cpu' regulator in this driver. A
reference is obtained via devm_regulator_get() and immediately released
with devm_regulator_put().
In this case, the usage of devm_ functions is slightly excessive, as the
un-managed versions of these functions is a little cleaner (and slightly
more economical in terms of allocation).
This change converts the devm_regulator_{get,put}() to
regulator_{get,put}() in the get_alignment_from_regulator() function of
this driver.

The Tegra clock driver contains legacy code which deasserts hardware reset
when peripheral clocks are enabled. This behaviour comes from a pre-CCF
era of the Tegra drivers. This is unacceptable for modern kernel drivers
which use generic CCF and reset-control APIs because it breaks assumptions
of the drivers about clk/reset sequences and about reset-propagation
delays. Hence remove the awkward legacy behaviour from the clk driver.
In particular PMC driver assumes that hardware blocks remains in reset
while power domain is turning on, but the clk driver deasserts the reset
before power clamp is removed, hence breaking the driver's assumption.

issues came over again recently during of kernel bring up on ASUS TF700T.

The PLLU (USB) consists of the PLL configuration itself and configuration
of the PLLU outputs. The PLLU programming is inconsistent on T30 vs T114,
where T114 immediately bails out if PLLU is enabled and T30 re-enables
a potentially already enabled PLL (left after bootloader) and then fully
reprograms it, which could be unsafe to do. The correct way should be to
skip enabling of the PLL if it's already enabled and then apply
configuration to the outputs. This patch doesn't fix any known problems,
it's a minor improvement.

The refcounting of the gate clocks has a bug causing the enable_refcnt
to underflow when unused clocks are disabled. This happens because clk
provider erroneously bumps the refcount if clock is enabled at a boot
time, which it shouldn't be doing, and it does this only for the gate
clocks, while peripheral clocks are using the same gate ops and the
peripheral clocks are missing the initial bump. Hence the refcount of
the peripheral clocks is 0 when unused clocks are disabled and then the
counter is decremented further by the gate ops, causing the integer
underflow.
Fix this problem by removing the erroneous bump and by implementing the
disable_unused() callback, which disables the unused gates properly.
The visible effect of the bug is such that the unused clocks are never
gated if a loaded kernel module grabs the unused clocks and starts to use
them. In practice this shouldn't cause any real problems for the drivers
and boards supported by the kernel today.

PLLE has a hardware power sequencer logic which is a state machine
that can power on/off PLLE without any software intervention. The
sequencer has two inputs, one from XUSB UPHY PLL and the other from
SATA UPHY PLL. PLLE provides reference clock to XUSB and SATA UPHY
PLLs. When both of the downstream PLLs are powered-off, PLLE hardware
power sequencer will automatically power off PLLE for power saving.
XUSB and SATA UPHY PLLs also have their own hardware power sequencer
logic. XUSB UPHY PLL is shared between XUSB SuperSpeed ports and PCIE
controllers. The XUSB UPHY PLL hardware power sequencer has inputs
from XUSB and PCIE. When all of the XUSB SuperSpeed ports and PCIE
controllers are in low power state, XUSB UPHY PLL hardware power
sequencer automatically power off PLL and flags idle to PLLE hardware
power sequencer. Similar applies to SATA UPHY PLL.
PLLE hardware power sequencer has to be enabled after both downstream
sequencers are enabled.
This commit adds two helper functions:
1. tegra210_plle_hw_sequence_start() for XUSB PADCTL driver to enable
PLLE hardware sequencer at proper time.
2. tegra210_plle_hw_sequence_is_enabled() for XUSB PADCTL driver to

Current implementation defaults the hda clocks to clk_m. This causes hda
to run too slow to operate correctly. Fix this by defaulting to pll_p and
setting the frequency to the correct rate.
This matches upstream t124 and downstream t30.

Add modularization support to the Tegra124 EMC driver, which now can be
compiled as a loadable kernel module.
Note that EMC clock must be registered at clk-init time, otherwise PLLM
will be disabled as unused clock at boot time if EMC driver is compiled
as a module. Hence add a prepare/complete callbacks. similarly to what is
done for the Tegra20/30 EMC drivers.

ability to get struct clk pointers from a struct clk_hw so that clk providers
can consume the clks they provide, if they need to do something like that. This
has been a long missing part of the clk provider API that will help us move
away from exposing a struct clk pointer in the struct clk_hw. Tracepoints are
added for the clk_set_rate() "range" functions, similar to the tracepoints we
already have for clk_set_rate() and we added a column to debugfs to help
developers understand the hardware enable state of clks in case firmware or
bootloader state is different than what is expected. Overall the core changes
are mostly improving the clk driver writing experience.
At the driver level, we have the usual collection of driver updates and new
drivers for new SoCs. This time around the Qualcomm folks introduced a good
handful of clk drivers for various parts of three or four SoCs. The SiFive
folks added a new clk driver for their FU740 SoCs, coming in second on the
diffstat and then Atmel AT91 and Amlogic SoCs had lots of work done after that
for various new features. One last thing to note in the driver area is that the
i.MX driver has gained a new binding to support SCU clks after being on the
list for many months. It uses a two cell binding which is sort of rare in clk
DT bindings. Beyond that we have the usual set of driver fixes and tweaks that
come from more testing and finding out that some configuration was wrong or
that a driver could support being built as a module.
Core:
- Add some trace points for clk_set_rate() "range" functions
- Add hardware enable information to clk_summary debugfs
- Replace clk-provider.h with of_clk.h when possible
- Add devm variant of clk_notifier_register()
- Add clk_hw_get_clk() to generate a struct clk from a struct clk_hw
New Drivers:
- Bindings for Canaan K210 SoC clks
- Support for SiFive FU740 PRCI
- Camera clks on Qualcomm SC7180 SoCs
- GCC and RPMh clks on Qualcomm SDX55 SoCs
- RPMh clks on Qualcomm SM8350 SoCs
- LPASS clks on Qualcomm SM8250 SoCs
Updates:
- DVFS support for AT91 clk driver
- Update git repo branch for Renesas clock drivers
- Add camera (CSI) and video-in (VIN) clocks on Renesas R-Car V3U
- Add RPC (QSPI/HyperFLASH) clocks on Renesas RZ/G2M, RZ/G2N, and RZ/G2E
- Stop using __raw_*() I/O accessors in Renesas clk drivers
- One more conversion of DT bindings to json-schema
- Make i.MX clk-gate2 driver more flexible
- New two cell binding for i.MX SCU clks

BPMP firmware ABI expects the rate inputs in int64_t. However,
tegra_bpmp_clk_round_rate() and tegra_bpmp_clk_set_rate() functions
directly assign 'unsigned long' inputs to a int64_t value causing
unexpected rounding errors.
Fix this by clipping the input rate to S64_MAX.

of various clk driver updates. The biggest driver updates in terms of lines of
code is the Allwinner driver, closely followed by the Qualcomm and Mediatek
drivers. All of those hit high because we add so many lines of clk data. Coming
in fourth place is i.MX which also adds a bunch of clk data. This accounts for
the new driver additions this time around.
Otherwise the patches are lots of little cleanups and fixes for various clk
drivers that have baked in linux-next for a while. I suppose one highlight or
theme is that more clk drivers are being updated to work as modules, which is
interesting to see such critical SoC infrastructure work as a loadable module.
New Drivers:
- Support qcom SM8150/SM8250 video and display clks
- Support Mediatek MT8167 clks
- Add clock for CRC block found on vf610 SoCs
- Add support for the Renesas R-Car V3U (R8A779A0) SoC
- Add support for the VSP for Resizing clock on Renesas RZ/G1H
- Support Allwinner A100 SoC clks

Updates:

- Small non-critical fixes for TI clk driver
- Remove various unused variables in clk drivers
- Allow Rockchip clk driver to be a module
- Remove most __clk_lookup() calls in Samsung drivers (yay!)

- Sigma-delta modulation on Allwinner R40
- Various fixes for at91 clk driver

Commit bff1cef5f2 ("clk: tegra: Don't enable already enabled PLLs")
added checks to avoid enabling PLLs that have already been enabled by
the bootloader. However, the PLL_E configuration inherited from the
bootloader isn't necessarily the one that is needed for the kernel.
This can cause SATA to fail like this:
[ 5.310270] phy phy-sata.6: phy poweron failed --> -110
[ 5.315604] tegra-ahci 70027000.sata: failed to power on AHCI controller: -110
[ 5.323022] tegra-ahci: probe of 70027000.sata failed with error -110
Fix this by always programming the PLL_E. This ensures that any mis-
configuration by the bootloader will be overwritten by the kernel.

Power Management Controller (PMC) can override the PLLM clock settings,
including the enable-state. Although PMC could only act as a second level
gate, meaning that PLLM needs to be enabled by the Clock and Reset
Controller (CaR) anyways if we want it to be enabled. Hence, when PLLM is
overridden by PMC, it needs to be enabled by CaR and ungated by PMC in
order to be functional. Please note that this patch doesn't fix any known
problem, and thus, it's merely a minor improvement.

pll_a_out0 and the I2S clocks are already configured to default to rates
corresponding to a 44.1 kHz sampling rate, but the pll_a configuration
was set to a default that is not listed in the frequency table, which
caused the PLL code to compute an invalid configuration. As a result of
this invalid configuration, Jetson TK1 fails to resume from suspend.
This used to get papered over because the ASoC driver would force audio
clocks to a 44.1 kHz configuration on boot. However, that's not really
necessary and was hence removed in commit ff5d18cb04 ("ASoC: tegra:
Enable audio mclk during tegra_asoc_utils_init()").
Fix the initial rate for pll_a so that it matches the 44.1 kHz entry in
the pll_a frequency table.

Tegra210 CSI hardware internally uses PLLD for internal test pattern
generator logic.
PLLD_BASE register in CAR has a bit CSI_CLK_SOURCE to enable PLLD
out to CSI during TPG mode.
This patch adds this CSI TPG clock gate to Tegra210 clock driver
to allow Tegra video driver to ungate CSI TPG clock during TPG mode
and gate during non TPG mode.

CCLK should be re-parented away from PLLX if PLLX's rate is changing.
The PLLP parent is a common safe CPU parent for all Tegra SoCs, thus
CCLK will be re-parented to PLLP before PLLX rate-change begins and then
switched back to PLLX after the rate-change completion. This patch adds
helper functions which perform CCLK re-parenting, these helpers will be
utilized by further patches.

CCLK stands for "CPU Clock", CPU core is running off CCLK. CCLK supports
multiple parents, it has internal clock divider and a clock skipper.
PLLX is the main CCLK parent that provides clock rates above 1GHz and it
has special property such that the CCLK's internal divider is set into
bypass mode when PLLX is selected as a parent for CCLK.
This patch forks generic Super Clock into CCLK implementation which takes
into account all CCLK specifics. The proper CCLK implementation is needed
by the upcoming Tegra20 CPUFreq driver update that will allow to utilize
the generic cpufreq-dt driver by moving intermediate clock selection into
the clock driver.
Note that technically this patch could be squashed into clk-super.c, but
it is cleaner to have a separate source file. Also note that currently all
CCLKLP bits are left in the clk-super.c and only CCLKG is supported by
clk-tegra-super-cclk. It shouldn't be difficult to move the CCLKLP bits,
but CCLKLP is not used by anything in kernel and thus better not to touch
it for now.
