We got the following WARNING when running ab/nginx
test with RDMA link flapping (up-down-up).
The reason is when smc_sock fallback and at linkdown
happens simultaneously, we may got the following situation:
__smc_lgr_terminate()
--> smc_conn_kill()
--> smc_close_active_abort()
smc_sock->sk_state = SMC_CLOSED
sock_put(smc_sock)
smc_sock was set to SMC_CLOSED and sock_put() been called
when terminate the link group. But later application call
close() on the socket, then we got:
__smc_release():
if (smc_sock->fallback)
smc_sock->sk_state = SMC_CLOSED
sock_put(smc_sock)
Again we set the smc_sock to CLOSED through it's already
in CLOSED state, and double put the refcnt, so the following
warning happens:
refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free.

The value of llc_testlink_time is set to the value stored in
net->ipv4.sysctl_tcp_keepalive_time when linkgroup init. The value of
sysctl_tcp_keepalive_time is already jiffies, so we don't need to
multiply by HZ, which would cause smc_link->llc_testlink_time overflow,

The abort_work is scheduled when a connection was detected to be
out-of-sync after a link failure. The work calls smc_conn_kill(),
which calls smc_close_active_abort() and that might end up calling
smc_close_cancel_work().
smc_close_cancel_work() cancels any pending close_work and tx_work but
needs to release the sock_lock before and acquires the sock_lock again
afterwards. So when the sock_lock was NOT acquired before then it may
be held after the abort_work completes. Thats why the sock_lock is
acquired before the call to smc_conn_kill() in __smc_lgr_terminate(),
but this is missing in smc_conn_abort_work().
Fix that by acquiring the sock_lock first and release it after the
call to smc_conn_kill().

Commit a3fe3d01bd ("net/smc: introduce sg-logic for RMBs") introduced
a restriction for RMB allocations as used by SMC-R. However, SMC-D does
not use scatter-gather lists to back its DMBs, yet it was limited by
this restriction, still.
This patch exempts SMC, but limits allocations to the maximum RMB/DMB
size respectively.

There can be a race between the waiters for a tx work request buffer
and the link down processing that finally clears the link. Although
all waiters are woken up before the link is cleared there might be
waiters which did not yet get back control and are still waiting.
This results in an access to a cleared wait queue head.
Fix this by introducing atomic reference counting around the wait calls,
and wait with the link clear processing until all waiters have finished.
Move the work request layer related calls into smc_wr.c and set the
link state to INACTIVE before calling smcr_link_clear() in
smc_llc_srv_add_link().

smc_lgr_cleanup() calls smcd_unregister_all_dmbs() as part of the link
group termination process. This is a leftover from the times when
smc_lgr_cleanup() scheduled a worker to actually free the link group.
Nowadays smc_lgr_cleanup() directly calls smc_lgr_free() without any
delay so an earlier dmb unregistration is no longer needed.
So remove smcd_unregister_all_dmbs() and the call to it.

syzbot is able to setup kTLS on an SMC socket which coincidentally
uses sk_user_data too. Later, kTLS treats it as psock so triggers a
refcnt warning. The root cause is that smc_setsockopt() simply calls
TCP setsockopt() which includes TCP_ULP. I do not think it makes
sense to setup kTLS on top of SMC sockets, so we should just disallow
this setup.
It is hard to find a commit to blame, but we can apply this patch
since the beginning of TCP_ULP.

To allow better problem diagnosis the return codes for SMC-Dv2 are
improved by this patch. A few more CLC DECLINE codes are defined and
sent to the peer when an SMC connection cannot be established.
There are now multiple SMC variations that are offered by the client and
the server may encounter problems to initialize all of them.
Because only one diagnosis code can be sent to the client the decision
was made to send the first code that was encountered. Because the server
tries the variations in the order of importance (SMC-Dv2, SMC-D, SMC-R)
this makes sure that the diagnosis code of the most important variation
is sent.

When a delayed event is enqueued then the event worker will send this
event the next time it is running and no other flow is currently
active. The event handler is called for the delayed event, and the
pointer to the event keeps set in lgr->delayed_event. This pointer is
cleared later in the processing by smc_llc_flow_start().
This can lead to a use-after-free condition when the processing does not
reach smc_llc_flow_start(), but frees the event because of an error
situation. Then the delayed_event pointer is still set but the event is
freed.
Fix this by always clearing the delayed event pointer when the event is
provided to the event handler for processing, and remove the code to
clear it in smc_llc_flow_start().

There are 6 types of workers which exist per smc connection. 3 of them
are used for listen and handshake processing, another 2 are used for
close and abort processing and 1 is the tx worker that moves calls to
sleeping functions into a worker.
To prevent flooding of the system work queue when many connections are
opened or closed at the same time (some pattern uperf implements), move
those workers to one of 3 smc-specific work queues. Two work queues are
module-global and used for handshake and close workers. The third work
queue is defined per link group and used by the tx workers that may
sleep waiting for resources of this link group.
And in smc_llc_enqueue() queue the llc_event_work work to the system
prio work queue because its critical that this work is started fast.

smc_lgr_cleanup_early() schedules the free worker with delay. DMB
unregistering occurs in this delayed worker increasing the risk

When an ISM device is removed, all its linkgroups are terminated,
i.e. all the corresponding connections are killed.
Connection killing invokes smc_close_active_abort(), which decreases

And it cancels the close worker and has to give up the sock lock for
this timeframe. This opens the door for a passive close worker or a
socket close to run in between. In this case smc_close_active_abort() and
passive close worker resp. smc_release() might do a sock_put for passive
closing. This causes:

The patch rechecks sock state in smc_close_active_abort() after
smc_close_cancel_work() to avoid duplicate decrease of sock
refcount for the same purpose.

SMC tries to make use of SMCD first. If a problem shows up,
it tries to switch to SMCR. If the SMCD initializing problem shows
up after the SMCD connection has already been initialized, field
rx_off keeps the wrong SMCD value for SMCR, which results in corrupted
data at the receiver.
This patch adds an explicit (re-)setting of field rx_off to zero if the
connection uses SMCR.

Older SMCR implementations had no link failover support and used one
link only. Because the handshake protocol requires to try the
establishment of a second link the old code sent a fake add_link message
and declined any server response afterwards.
The current code supports multiple links and inspects the received fake
add_link message more closely. To tolerate the fake add_link messages
smc_llc_is_local_add_link() needs an improved check of the message to
be able to separate between locally enqueued and fake add_link messages.
And smc_llc_cli_add_link() needs to check if the provided qp_mtu size is
invalid and reject the add_link request in that case.

__smc_diag_dump() is potentially copying uninitialized kernel stack memory
into socket buffers, since the compiler may leave a 4-byte hole near the
beginning of `struct smcd_diag_dmbinfo`. Fix it by initializing `dinfo`
with memset().

When the maximum dmb buffer limit for an ism device is reached no more
dmb buffers can be registered. When this happens the reason code is set
to SMC_CLC_DECL_MEM indicating out-of-memory. This is the same reason
code that is used when no memory could be allocated for the new dmb
buffer.
This is confusing for users when they see this error but there is more
memory available. To solve this set a separate new reason code when the
maximum dmb limit exceeded.

The UDP reuseport conflict was a little bit tricky.
The net-next code, via bpf-next, extracted the reuseport handling
into a helper so that the BPF sk lookup code could invoke it.
At the same time, the logic for reuseport handling of unconnected
sockets changed via commit efc6b6f6c3
which changed the logic to carry on the reuseport result into the
rest of the lookup loop if we do not return immediately.
This requires moving the reuseport_has_conns() logic into the callers.
While we are here, get rid of inline directives as they do not belong
in foo.c files.
The other changes were cases of more straightforward overlapping
modifications.
