1e80709bdb mmc: cqhci: add support for inline encryption
Add support for eMMC inline encryption using the blk-crypto framework
(Documentation/block/inline-encryption.rst).

eMMC inline encryption support is specified by the upcoming JEDEC eMMC
v5.2 specification. It is only specified for the CQ interface, not the
non-CQ interface. Although the eMMC v5.2 specification hasn't been
officially released yet, the crypto support was already agreed on
several years ago, and it was already implemented by at least two major
hardware vendors. Lots of hardware in the field already supports and
uses it, e.g. Snapdragon 630 to give one example.

eMMC inline encryption support is very similar to the UFS inline
encryption support which was standardized in the UFS v2.1 specification
and was already upstreamed. The only major difference is that eMMC
limits data unit numbers to 32 bits, unlike UFS's 64 bits.

Like we did with UFS, make the crypto support opt-in by individual
drivers; don't enable it automatically whenever the hardware declares
crypto support. This is necessary because in every case we've seen,
some extra vendor-specific logic is needed to use the crypto support.

a5a944d24c mmc: host: add Coldfire esdhc support
This driver has been developed as a separate module starting
from the similar sdhci-esdhc-imx.c.

Reasons for a separate sdchi-esdhc-mcf driver:

- m68K architecture does not support devicetrees, so modifying
sdhci-of-esdhc.c that is devicetree-related adding platform data
seems not appropriate,
- clock-related part, has to be implemented specifically for
mcf5441x family (see esdhc_mcf_pltfm_set_clock()),
- this is a big endian cpu accessing a big endian controller,
but about sdma, this controller does not support hw swap, which
needs to be handled with specific code,
- some other minor differences but mainly to avoid risks on
tweaking inside largely used imx driver. Adding just a small
size ColdFire-specific driver, with benefits in a further less
risky maintenance.

e4bf1b0970 mmc: host: meson-mx-sdhc: new driver for the Amlogic Meson SDHC host
The SDHC MMC host controller on Amlogic SoCs provides an eMMC and MMC
card interface with 1/4/8-bit bus width.
It supports eMMC spec 4.4x/4.5x including HS200 (up to 100MHz clock).

The public S805 datasheet [0] contains a short documentation about the
registers. Unfortunately it does not describe how to use the registers
to make the hardware work. Thus this driver is based on reading (and
understanding) the Amlogic 3.10 GPL kernel code.

Some hardware details are not easy to see. Jianxin Pan was kind enough
to answer my questions:
The hardware has built-in busy timeout support. The maximum timeout is
30 seconds. This is only documented in Amlogic's internal
documentation.

The controller only works with very specific clock configurations. The
details are not part of the public datasheet. In my own words the
supported configurations are:
- 399.812kHz:	clkin = 850MHz div = 2126 sd_rx_phase = 63
- 1MHz: clkin = 850MHz div = 850 sd_rx_phase = 55
- 5.986MHz:	clkin = 850MHz div = 142 sd_rx_phase = 24
- 25MHz:	clkin = 850MHz div = 34 sd_rx_phase = 15
- 47.222MHz:	clkin = 850MHz div = 18 sd_rx_phase = 11/15 (SDR50/HS)
- 53.125MHz:	clkin = 850MHz div = 16 sd_rx_phase = (tuning)
- 70.833MHz:	clkin = 850MHz div = 12 sd_rx_phase = (tuning)
- 85MHz:	clkin = 850MHz div = 10 sd_rx_phase = (tuning)
- 94.44MHz:	clkin = 850MHz div = 9 sd_rx_phase = (tuning)
- 106.25MHz:	clkin = 850MHz div = 8 sd_rx_phase = (tuning)
- 127.5MHz: clkin = 1275MHz div = 10 sd_rx_phase = (tuning)
- 141.667MHz: clkin = 850MHz div = 6 sd_rx_phase = (tuning)
- 159.375MHz:	clkin = 1275MHz div = 8 sd_rx_phase = (tuning)
- 212.5MHz:	clkin = 1275MHz div = 6 sd_rx_phase = (tuning)
- (sd_tx_phase is always 1, 94.44MHz is not listed in the datasheet
but this is what the 3.10 BSP kernel on Odroid-C1 actually uses)

NOTE: CMD23 support is disabled for now because it results in command
timeouts and thus decreases read performance.

511ce378e1 mmc: Add MMC host software queue support
Now the MMC read/write stack will always wait for previous request is
completed by mmc_blk_rw_wait(), before sending a new request to hardware,
or queue a work to complete request, that will bring context switching
overhead and spend some extra time to poll the card for busy completion
for I/O writes via sending CMD13, especially for high I/O per second
rates, to affect the IO performance.

Thus this patch introduces MMC software queue interface based on the
hardware command queue engine's interfaces, which is similar with the
hardware command queue engine's idea, that can remove the context
switching. Moreover we set the default queue depth as 64 for software
queue, which allows more requests to be prepared, merged and inserted
into IO scheduler to improve performance, but we only allow 2 requests
in flight, that is enough to let the irq handler always trigger the
next request without a context switch, as well as avoiding a long latency.

Moreover the host controller should support HW busy detection for I/O
operations when enabling the host software queue. That means, the host
controller must not complete a data transfer request, until after the
card stops signals busy.

From the fio testing data in cover letter, we can see the software
queue can improve some performance with 4K block size, increasing
about 16% for random read, increasing about 90% for random write,
though no obvious improvement for sequential read and write.

Moreover we can expand the software queue interface to support MMC
packed request or packed command in future.

One is core controller F_SDH30, this is similar to sdhci-fujitsu
controller.
Another is bridge controller.
This bridge controller is not compatible with sdhci-fujitsu controller.
This is special for Milbeaut series. This has some functions.
For example, reset control, clock enable/select for SDR50/25/12, set
property of SD physical pins, retuning control, set capabilityies.

This bridge controller requires special procedures at reset or clock
enablement or change for further tuning of clock.

bb7b8ec62d mmc: sdhci-of-aspeed: Add support for the ASPEED SD controller
Add a minimal driver for ASPEED's SD controller, which exposes two
SDHCIs.

The ASPEED design implements a common register set for the SDHCIs, and
moves some of the standard configuration elements out to this common
area (e.g. 8-bit mode, and card detect configuration which is not
currently supported).

The SD controller has a dedicated hardware interrupt that is shared
between the slots. The common register set exposes information on which
slot triggered the interrupt; early revisions of the patch introduced an
irqchip for the register, but reality is it doesn't behave as an
irqchip, and the result fits awkwardly into the irqchip APIs. Instead
I've taken the simple approach of using the IRQ as a shared IRQ with
some minor performance impact for the second slot.

Ryan was the original author of the patch - I've taken his work and
massaged it to drop the irqchip support and rework the devicetree
integration. The driver has been smoke tested under qemu against a
minimal SD controller model and lightly tested on an ast2500-evb.

41fd4caeb0 mmc: sdhci_am654: Add Initial Support for AM654 SDHCI driver
The host controllers on TI's AM654 SOCs are not compatible with
the phy and consumer model of the sdhci-of-arasan driver. It turns out
that for optimal operation at higher speeds, a special tuning procedure
needs to be implemented which involves configuration of platform
specific phy registers.

Therefore, branch out to a new sdhci_am654 driver and add the phy
register space with all phy configurations to it. Populate AM654
specific callbacks to sdhci_ops and add SDHCI_QUIRKS wherever
applicable.

Only add support for upto High Speed for SD card and upto DDR52 speed
mode for eMMC. Higher speeds will be added in subsequent patches.

3fd784f745 mmc: uniphier-sd: add UniPhier SD/eMMC controller driver
Here is another TMIO MMC variant found in Socionext UniPhier SoCs.

As commit b6147490e6 ("mmc: tmio: split core functionality, DMA and
MFD glue") said, these MMC controllers use the IP from Panasonic.

However, the MMC controller in the TMIO (Toshiba Mobile IO) MFD chip
was the first upstreamed user of this IP. The common driver code
for this IP is now called 'tmio-mmc-core' in Linux although it is a
historical misnomer.

Anyway, this driver select's MMC_TMIO_CORE to borrow the common code
from tmio-mmc-core.c

Older UniPhier SoCs (LD4, Pro4, sLD8) support the external DMA engine
like renesas_sdhi_sys_dmac.c. The difference is UniPhier SoCs use a
single DMA channel whereas Renesas chips request separate channels for
RX and TX.

Newer UniPhier SoCs (Pro5 and later) support the internal DMA engine
like renesas_sdhi_internal_dmac.c The register map is almost the same,
so I guess Renesas and Socionext use the same internal DMA hardware.
The main difference is, the register offsets are doubled for Renesas.

                        Renesas Socionext
                        SDHI UniPhier
  DM_CM_DTRAN_MODE 0x820 0x410
  DM_CM_DTRAN_CTRL 0x828 0x414
  DM_CM_RST 0x830 0x418
  DM_CM_INFO1 0x840 0x420
  DM_CM_INFO1_MASK 0x848 0x424
  DM_CM_INFO2 0x850 0x428
  DM_CM_INFO2_MASK 0x858 0x42c
  DM_DTRAN_ADDR 0x880 0x440
  DM_DTRAN_ADDREX --- 0x444

This comes from the difference of host->bus_shift; 2 for Renesas SoCs,
and 1 for UniPhier SoCs. Also, the datasheet for UniPhier SoCs defines
DM_DTRAN_ADDR and DM_DTRAN_ADDREX as two separate registers.

It could be possible to factor out the DMA common code by introducing
some hooks to cope with platform quirks, but this patch does not touch
that for now.

Philippe Ombredanne.

How this work was done:

Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of
the use cases:
 - file had no licensing information it it.
 - file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it,
 - file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information,

Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases
where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license
had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords.

The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to
a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the
output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX
tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne. Philippe prepared the
base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files.

The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files
assessed. Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the scanner
results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license identifier(s)
to be applied to the file. She confirmed any determination that was not
immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was:
 - Files considered eligible had to be source code files.
 - Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained >5
   lines of source
 - File already had some variant of a license header in it (even if <5
   lines).

All documentation files were explicitly excluded.

The following heuristics were used to determine which SPDX license
identifiers to apply.

 - when both scanners couldn't find any license traces, file was
considered to have no license information in it, and the top level
   COPYING file license applied.

For non */uapi/* files that summary was:

   SPDX license identifier # files
   ---------------------------------------------------|-------
   GPL-2.0 11139

and resulted in the first patch in this series.

If that file was a */uapi/* path one, it was "GPL-2.0 WITH
Linux-syscall-note" otherwise it was "GPL-2.0". Results of that was:

   SPDX license identifier # files
   ---------------------------------------------------|-------
   GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 930

and resulted in the second patch in this series.

 - if a file had some form of licensing information in it, and was one
of the */uapi/* ones, it was denoted with the Linux-syscall-note if
any GPL family license was found in the file or had no licensing in
it (per prior point). Results summary:

   SPDX license identifier # files
   ---------------------------------------------------|------
   GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 270
   GPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 169
   ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-2-Clause) 21
   ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-3-Clause) 17
   LGPL-2.1+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 15
   GPL-1.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 14
   ((GPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-3-Clause) 5
   LGPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 4
   LGPL-2.1 WITH Linux-syscall-note 3
   ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR MIT) 3
   ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) AND MIT) 1

and that resulted in the third patch in this series.

 - when the two scanners agreed on the detected license(s), that became
   the concluded license(s).

 - when there was disagreement between the two scanners (one detected a
license but the other didn't, or they both detected different
licenses) a manual inspection of the file occurred.

 - In most cases a manual inspection of the information in the file
resulted in a clear resolution of the license that should apply (and
which scanner probably needed to revisit its heuristics).

 - When it was not immediately clear, the license identifier was
confirmed with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

 - If there was any question as to the appropriate license identifier,
the file was flagged for further research and to be revisited later
   in time.

In total, over 70 hours of logged manual review was done on the
spreadsheet to determine the SPDX license identifiers to apply to the
source files by Kate, Philippe, Thomas and, in some cases, confirmation
by lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

Kate also obtained a third independent scan of the 4.13 code base from
FOSSology, and compared selected files where the other two scanners
disagreed against that SPDX file, to see if there was new insights. The
Windriver scanner is based on an older version of FOSSology in part, so
they are related.

Thomas did random spot checks in about 500 files from the spreadsheets
for the uapi headers and agreed with SPDX license identifier in the
files he inspected. For the non-uapi files Thomas did random spot checks
in about 15000 files.

In initial set of patches against 4.14-rc6, 3 files were found to have
copy/paste license identifier errors, and have been fixed to reflect the
correct identifier.

Additionally Philippe spent 10 hours this week doing a detailed manual
inspection and review of the 12,461 patched files from the initial patch
version early this week with:
 - a full scancode scan run, collecting the matched texts, detected
   license ids and scores
 - reviewing anything where there was a license detected (about 500+
files) to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct
 - reviewing anything where there was no detection but the patch license
was not GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note to ensure that the applied
   SPDX license was correct

This produced a worksheet with 20 files needing minor correction. This
worksheet was then exported into 3 different .csv files for the
different types of files to be modified.

These .csv files were then reviewed by Greg. Thomas wrote a script to
parse the csv files and add the proper SPDX tag to the file, in the
format that the file expected. This script was further refined by Greg
based on the output to detect more types of files automatically and to
distinguish between header and source .c files (which need different
comment types.) Finally Greg ran the script using the .csv files to
generate the patches.

ed80a13bb4 mmc: meson-mx-sdio: Add a driver for the Amlogic Meson8 and Meson8b SoCs
Add a driver for the SDIO/MMC host found on the Amlogic Meson SoCs. This
is an MMC controller which provides an interface between the application
processor and various memory cards. It supports the SD specification
v2.0 and the eMMC specification v4.41.

The controller provides an internal "mux" which allows connecting up to
three MMC devices to it. Only one device can be used at a time though
since the registers are shared across all devices. The driver takes care
of synchronizing access (similar to the dw_mmc driver).
The maximum supported bus-width is 4-bits.

Amlogic's GPL kernel sources call the corresponding driver "aml_sdio" to
differentiate it from the other MMC controller in (at least the Meson8
and Meson8b) the SoCs (they call the other drivers aml_sdhc and
aml_sdhc_m8, which seem to support a bus-width of up to 8-bits). This
means that there are three different MMC host controller IP blocks from
Amlogic (each of them with completely own register layout and features):
- "SDIO": 1 and 4 bit bus width, support for high-speed modes up to
  UHS-I SDR50, part of Meson6, Meson8 and Meson8b (the driver from this
  patch targets this controller)
- "SDHC": 1, 4 and 8 bit bus width, compatible with standard iNAND
interface, support for speeds up to HS200 and MMC spec up to version
4.5x, part of Meson8 and Meson8b SoCs (there is no mainline driver
  for this controller yet)
- "SDEMMC": 1, 4 and 8 bit bus width, support for speeds up to HS400
and MMC spec up to version 5.0, part of the Meson GX (64-bit) SoCs
(supported by the meson-gx MMC host driver)

b5b6a5f4f0 mmc: renesas-sdhi: rename sh_mobile_sdhi.c => renesas_sdhi_core.c
Rename the source file SDHI. A follow-up patch will make it a library
file used by a different top-level module file.

The name "renesas" is chosen as the SDHI driver is applicable to a wider
range of SoCs than SH-Mobile it seems to be a more appropriate name.
However, the SDHI driver source itself, is left as sh_mobile_sdhi to
avoid unnecessary churn.

the name "core" was chosen to reflect the desired role of this file,
to provide core functionality to the sdhi driver. A follow-up patch will
move the file into that role.

Internal symbols have also been renamed to reflect the filename change.

The .name member of struct platform_driver and parameter to
MODULE_ALIAS() have not been changed in order to avoid the complication
of potentially breaking SH SoCs which still use platform drivers.

631fa73cfb mmc: renesas-sdhi, tmio: make dma more modular
Refactor DMA support to allow it to be provided by a set of call-backs
that are provided by a host driver. The motivation is to allow multiple
DMA implementations to be provided and instantiated at run-time.

Instantiate the existing DMA implementation from the sh_mobile_sdhi driver
which appears to match the current use-case. This has the side effect
of moving the DMA code from the tmio_core to the sh_mobile_sdhi driver.

A follow-up patch will change the source file for the SDHI DMA
implementation accordingly. Another follow-up patch will re-organise the
SDHI driver removing the need for tmio_mmc_get_dma_ops().
