17ecd24641 rtc: sun6i: Add support for the external oscillator gate
The RTC can output its 32kHz clock outside of the SoC, for example to clock
a WiFi chip.

Create a new clock that other devices will be able to retrieve, while
maintaining the DT stability by providing a default name for that clock if
clock-output-names doesn't list one.

11909f0be7 rtc: ds1307: remove legacy check for "isil, irq2-can-wakeup-machine" property
Commit 8b44f5be20 ("ARM: dts: armada: replace isil,irq2-can-wakeup-machine with wakeup-source property")
removed the last usage of "isil,irq2-can-wakeup-machine" almost
two years ago. So I think we can get rid of supporting this
legacy binding.

This patch documents support for STM32H7 Real Time Clock.
It introduces a new compatible and rework clock definitions.
On STM32H7 we have a 'pclk' clock for register access, in addition to

34f54f579a rtc: armada38x: Add support for Armada 7K/8K
The Armada 7K/8K use the same RTC IP than the Armada 38x. However the SOC
integration differs in 2 points:
 - MBUS bridge timing initialization
 - IRQ configuration at SoC level

Moreover the Armada 7K/8K have an issue preventing to get the interrupt
from alarm 1. This commit allows to use alarm 2 for these A7K/8K but to
still use alarm 1 for the Armada 38x.

6db6bd479d bindings: rtc: correct wrong reference in required properties
There are currently two broken bindings descriptions for RTC:

maxim,ds3231.txt
pcf8563.txt

They broke because of a improper RST documentation conversion with
commit 8c27ceff36 ("docs: fix locations of several documents that got
moved") and now reference to a non-existing file:

Documentation/devicetree/bindings/i2c/trivial-admin-guide/devices.rst

However, the original reference to i2c/trivial-devices should have never
been made in the first place.

This change fixes this issue by replacing with correct descriptions.

3855c2c3e5 rtc: sun6i: Expose the 32kHz oscillator
The RTC controls the input source of the main 32kHz oscillator in the
system, feeding it to the clock unit too.

By default, this is using an internal, very inaccurate (+/- 30%)
oscillator with a divider to make it roughly around 32kHz. This is however
quite impractical for the RTC, since our time will not be tracked properly.

Since this oscillator is an input of the main clock unit, and since that
clock unit will be probed using CLK_OF_DECLARE, we have to use it as well,
leading to a two stage probe: one to enable the clock, the other one to
enable the RTC.

There is also a slight change in the binding that is required (and should
have been from the beginning), since we'll need a phandle to the external
oscillator used on that board. We support the old binding by not allowing
to switch to the external oscillator and only using the internal one (which
was the previous behaviour) in the case where we're missing that phandle.

00c9329ebe rtc: s3c: Document in binding that only s3c6410 needs a src clk
The S3C binding doc says that the RTC and RTC source clocks are required
but the S3C driver supports different HW IP and only the s3c6410 needs a
source clock.

Fix the binding explaining that the source clock is only needed for the
s3c6410-rtc compatible controller.

7f48b21bdf rtc: stmp3xxx: use optional crystal in low power states
The rtc's status register allows to determine if a 32k crystal is
connected to keep the rtc running in low power states provided the
corresponding fuse bits were blown correctly during production. (In case
they were not, the right frequency can be stated in the device tree.) If
there is no such crystal available force the 24 MHz XTAL clock to keep
running to retain the right date and time. Otherwise use the crystal to
save some power.

It would be nice to only switch to the crystal when the XTAL clock is
about to be disabled and keep the crystal off when unneeded because XTAL
is always on while the chip is powered on. But as sudden power loss isn't
detectable this is not save.

298ff0122a rtc: rtc-isl12057: add isil,irq2-can-wakeup-machine property for in-tree users
Current in-tree users of ISL12057 RTC chip (NETGEAR ReadyNAS 102, 104 and
2120) do not have the IRQ#2 pin of the chip (associated w/ the Alarm1
mechanism) connected to their SoC, but to a PMIC (TPS65251 FWIW). This
specific hardware configuration allows the NAS to wake up when the alarms
rings.

Recently introduced alarm support for ISL12057 relies on the provision of
an "interrupts" property in system .dts file, which previous three users
will never get. For that reason, alarm support on those devices is not
function. To support this use case, this patch adds a new DT property for
ISL12057 (isil,irq2-can-wakeup-machine) to indicate that the chip is
capable of waking up the device using its IRQ#2 pin (even though it does
not have its IRQ#2 pin connected directly to the SoC).

This specific configuration was tested on a ReadyNAS 102 by setting an
alarm, powering off the device and see it reboot as expected when the
alarm rang w/:

  # echo `date '+%s' -d '+ 1 minutes'` > /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm
  # shutdown -h now

As a side note, the ISL12057 remains in the list of trivial devices,
because the property is not per se required by the device to work but can
help handle system w/ specific requirements. In exchange, the new feature
is described in details in a specific documentation file.

Paul Walmsley
193c9d23a0 Documentation: DT bindings: add more Tegra chip compatible strings
Align compatible strings for several IP blocks present on Tegra chips
with the latest doctrine from the DT maintainers:

http://marc.info/?l=devicetree&m=142255654213019&w=2

The primary objective here is to avoid checkpatch warnings, per:

http://marc.info/?l=linux-tegra&m=142201349727836&w=2

DT binding text files have been updated for the following IP blocks:

- PCIe
- SOR
- SoC timers
- AHB "gizmo"
- APB_MISC
- pinmux control
- UART
- PWM
- I2C
- SPI
- RTC
- PMC
- eFuse
- AHCI
- HDA
- XUSB_PADCTRL
- SDHCI
- SOC_THERM
- AHUB
- I2S
- EHCI
- USB PHY

N.B. The nvidia,tegra20-timer compatible string is removed from the
nvidia,tegra30-timer.txt documentation file because it's already
mentioned in the nvidia,tegra20-timer.txt documentation file.

This second version takes into account the following requests from
Rob Herring <robherring2@gmail.com>:

- Per-IP block patches have been combined into a single patch

- Explicit documentation about which compatible strings are actually
matched by the driver has been removed. In its place is implicit
documentation that loosely follows Rob's prescribed format:

  "Must contain '"nvidia,<chip>-pcie", "nvidia,tegra20-pcie"' where
   <chip> is tegra30, tegra132, ..." [...] "You should attempt to
document known values of <chip> if you use it"

094d3ee3ce rtc: omap: drop vendor-prefix from power-controller dt property
Drop the vendor-prefix from the "ti,system-power-controller" device-tree

It has been agreed to make "system-power-controller" a standard property
and to drop the vendor-prefix that is currently used by several drivers.

Note that drivers that have used "<vendor>,system-power-controller" in a

222a12fca6 rtc: omap: add support for pmic_power_en
Add new property "ti,system-power-controller" to register the RTC as a

Some RTC IP revisions can control an external PMIC via the pmic_power_en

back to ON on subsequent ALARM (wakealarm) events.

16b1d26e77 rtc/tpo: Driver to support rtc and wakeup on PowerNV platform
The patch implements the OPAL rtc driver that binds with the rtc
driver subsystem. The driver uses the platform device infrastructure
to probe the rtc device and register it to rtc class framework. The
'wakeup' is supported depending upon the property 'has-tpo' present
in the OF node. It provides a way to load the generic rtc driver in
in the absence of an OPAL driver.

The patch also moves the existing OPAL rtc get/set time interfaces to the
new driver and exposes the necessary OPAL calls using EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL.

9765d2d943 rtc: sun6i: Add sun6i RTC driver
This patch introduces the driver for the RTC in the Allwinner A31 and
A23 SoCs.

Unlike the RTC found in A10/A20 SoCs, which was part of the timer, the
RTC in A31/A23 are a separate hardware block, which also contain a few
controls for the RTC block hardware (a regulator and RTC block GPIO pin
latches), while also having separate interrupts for the alarms.

The hardware is different enough to make a different driver for it.

cfee95977b x86, olpc: Add XO-1 RTC driver
Add a driver to configure the XO-1 RTC via CS5536 MSRs, to be used as a
system wakeup source via olpc-xo1-pm.

Device detection is based on finding the relevant device tree node.

3bcbaf6e08 rtc: cmos: Add OF bindings
This allows to load the OF driver based informations from the device
tree. Systems without BIOS may need to perform some initialization.
PowerPC creates a PNP device from the OF information and performs this
kind of initialization in their private PCI quirk. This looks more
generic.

This patch also avoids registering the platform RTC driver on X86 if
we have a device tree blob. Otherwise we would setup the device based
on the hardcoded information in arch/x86 rather than the device tree
based one.
