[ Upstream commit 4aa42119d9 ]
With the last commit we moved to using the hci_sync queue for "Create
Connection" requests, removing the need for retrying the paging after
finished/failed "Create Connection" requests and after the end of
inquiries.
hci_conn_check_pending() was used to trigger this retry, we can remove it
now.
Note that we can also remove the special handling for COMMAND_DISALLOWED
errors in the completion handler of "Create Connection", because "Create
Connection" requests are now always serialized.
This is somewhat reverting commit 4c67bc74f0 ("[Bluetooth] Support
concurrent connect requests").
With this, the BT_CONNECT2 state of ACL hci_conn objects should now be
back to meaning only one thing: That we received a "Connection Request"
from another device (see hci_conn_request_evt), but the response to that
is going to be deferred.

[ Upstream commit 45340097ce ]
Pretty much all bluetooth chipsets only support paging a single device at
a time, and if they don't reject a secondary "Create Connection" request
while another is still ongoing, they'll most likely serialize those
requests in the firware.
With commit 4c67bc74f0 ("[Bluetooth] Support concurrent connect
requests") we started adding some serialization of our own in case the
adapter returns "Command Disallowed" HCI error.
This commit was using the BT_CONNECT2 state for the serialization, this
state is also used for a few more things (most notably to indicate we're
waiting for an inquiry to cancel) and therefore a bit unreliable. Also
not all BT firwares would respond with "Command Disallowed" on too many
connection requests, some will also respond with "Hardware Failure"
(BCM4378), and others will error out later and send a "Connect Complete"
event with error "Rejected Limited Resources" (Marvell 88W8897).
We can clean things up a bit and also make the serialization more reliable
by using our hci_sync machinery to always do "Create Connection" requests
in a sequential manner.
This is very similar to what we're already doing for establishing LE
connections, and it works well there.
Note that this causes a test failure in mgmt-tester (test "Pair Device
- Power off 1") because the hci_abort_conn_sync() changes the error we
return on timeout of the "Create Connection". We'll fix this on the
mgmt-tester side by adjusting the expected error for the test.

"Implement a per-cpu cache of +1/-1 MB, to reduce number
of changes to sk->sk_prot->memory_allocated, which
would otherwise be cause of false sharing."
sk_prot->memory_allocated points to global atomic variable:
atomic_long_t tcp_memory_allocated ____cacheline_aligned_in_smp;
If increasing the per-cpu cache size from 1MB to e.g. 16MB,
changes to sk->sk_prot->memory_allocated can be further reduced.

If the AP removal timer is long, we don't really want to
remove the link immediately. However, we really should do
it _before_ the AP removes it (which happens at or after
count reaches 0), so subtract 1 from the countdown when
scheduling the timer. This causes the link removal work
to run just after the beacon with value 1 is received. If
the counter is already zero, do it immediately.
This fixes an issue where we do the removal too late and
receive a beacon from the AP that's no longer associated
with the MLD, but thus removed EHT and ML elements, and
then we disconnect instead from the whole MLD, since one
of the associated APs changed mode from EHT to HE.

From abort path, nft_mapelem_activate() needs to restore refcounters to
the original state. Currently, it uses the set->ops->walk() to iterate
over these set elements. The existing set iterator skips inactive
elements in the next generation, this does not work from the abort path
to restore the original state since it has to skip active elements
instead (not inactive ones).
This patch moves the check for inactive elements to the set iterator
callback, then it reverses the logic for the .activate case which
needs to skip active elements.
Toggle next generation bit for elements when delete set command is
invoked and call nft_clear() from .activate (abort) path to restore the
next generation bit.

Currently, we can read OOB data without MSG_OOB by using MSG_PEEK
when OOB data is sitting on the front row, which is apparently
wrong.
>>> from socket import *
>>> c1, c2 = socketpair(AF_UNIX, SOCK_STREAM)
>>> c1.send(b'a', MSG_OOB)
1
>>> c2.recv(1, MSG_PEEK | MSG_DONTWAIT)
b'a'
If manage_oob() is called when no data has been copied, we only
check if the socket enables SO_OOBINLINE or MSG_PEEK is not used.
Otherwise, the skb is returned as is.
However, here we should return NULL if MSG_PEEK is set and no data
has been copied.
Also, in such a case, we should not jump to the redo label because
we will be caught in the loop and hog the CPU until normal data
comes in.
Then, we need to handle skb == NULL case with the if-clause below
the manage_oob() block.
With this patch:

When we call recv() for AF_UNIX socket, we first peek one skb and
calls manage_oob() to check if the skb is sent with MSG_OOB.
However, when we fetch the next (and the following) skb, manage_oob()
is not called now, leading a wrong behaviour.
Let's say a socket send()s "hello" with MSG_OOB and the peer tries
to recv() 5 bytes with MSG_PEEK. Here, we should get only "hell"
without 'o', but actually not:
>>> from socket import *
>>> c1, c2 = socketpair(AF_UNIX, SOCK_STREAM)
>>> c1.send(b'hello', MSG_OOB)
5
>>> c2.recv(5, MSG_PEEK)
b'hello'
The first skb fills 4 bytes, and the next skb is peeked but not
properly checked by manage_oob().
Let's move up the again label to call manage_oob() for evry skb.
With this patch:

>>> c1, c2 = socketpair(AF_UNIX, SOCK_STREAM)

1) nft_pipapo_remove() removes element 0000000X
Then, KASAN shows a splat.
Looking at the remove function there is a chance that we will drop a
rule that maps to a non-deactivated element.
Removal happens in two steps, first we do a lookup for key k and return the
to-be-removed element and mark it as inactive in the next generation.
Then, in a second step, the element gets removed from the set/map.
The _remove function does not work correctly if we have more than one
element that share the same key.
This can happen if we insert an element into a set when the set already
holds an element with same key, but the element mapping to the existing
key has timed out or is not active in the next generation.
In such case its possible that removal will unmap the wrong element.
If this happens, we will leak the non-deactivated element, it becomes
unreachable.
The element that got deactivated (and will be freed later) will
remain reachable in the set data structure, this can result in
a crash when such an element is retrieved during lookup (stale
pointer).
Add a check that the fully matching key does in fact map to the element
that we have marked as inactive in the deactivation step.
If not, we need to continue searching.
Add a bug/warn trap at the end of the function as well, the remove
function must not ever be called with an invisible/unreachable/non-existent
element.

Garbage collector does not take into account the risk of embryo getting
enqueued during the garbage collection. If such embryo has a peer that
carries SCM_RIGHTS, two consecutive passes of scan_children() may see a
different set of children. Leading to an incorrectly elevated inflight
count, and then a dangling pointer within the gc_inflight_list.
sockets are AF_UNIX/SOCK_STREAM
S is an unconnected socket
L is a listening in-flight socket bound to addr, not in fdtable
V's fd will be passed via sendmsg(), gets inflight count bumped
connect(S, addr) sendmsg(S, [V]); close(V) __unix_gc()
---------------- ------------------------- -----------
NS = unix_create1()
skb1 = sock_wmalloc(NS)
L = unix_find_other(addr)
unix_state_lock(L)
unix_peer(S) = NS
// V count=1 inflight=0
NS = unix_peer(S)
skb2 = sock_alloc()
skb_queue_tail(NS, skb2[V])
// V became in-flight
// V count=2 inflight=1
close(V)
// V count=1 inflight=1
// GC candidate condition met
for u in gc_inflight_list:
if (total_refs == inflight_refs)
add u to gc_candidates
// gc_candidates={L, V}
for u in gc_candidates:
scan_children(u, dec_inflight)
// embryo (skb1) was not
// reachable from L yet, so V's
// inflight remains unchanged
__skb_queue_tail(L, skb1)
unix_state_unlock(L)
for u in gc_candidates:
if (u.inflight)
scan_children(u, inc_inflight_move_tail)
// V count=1 inflight=2 (!)
If there is a GC-candidate listening socket, lock/unlock its state. This
makes GC wait until the end of any ongoing connect() to that socket. After
flipping the lock, a possibly SCM-laden embryo is already enqueued. And if
there is another embryo coming, it can not possibly carry SCM_RIGHTS. At
this point, unix_inflight() can not happen because unix_gc_lock is already
taken. Inflight graph remains unaffected.

syzkaller started to report deadlock of unix_gc_lock after commit
4090fa373f ("af_unix: Replace garbage collection algorithm."), but
it just uncovers the bug that has been there since commit 314001f0bf
("af_unix: Add OOB support").
The repro basically does the following.
from socket import *
from array import array
c1, c2 = socketpair(AF_UNIX, SOCK_STREAM)
c1.sendmsg([b'a'], [(SOL_SOCKET, SCM_RIGHTS, array("i", [c2.fileno()]))], MSG_OOB)
c2.recv(1) # blocked as no normal data in recv queue
c2.close() # done async and unblock recv()
c1.close() # done async and trigger GC
A socket sends its file descriptor to itself as OOB data and tries to
receive normal data, but finally recv() fails due to async close().
The problem here is wrong handling of OOB skb in manage_oob(). When
recvmsg() is called without MSG_OOB, manage_oob() is called to check
if the peeked skb is OOB skb. In such a case, manage_oob() pops it
out of the receive queue but does not clear unix_sock(sk)->oob_skb.
This is wrong in terms of uAPI.
Let's say we send "hello" with MSG_OOB, and "world" without MSG_OOB.
The 'o' is handled as OOB data. When recv() is called twice without
MSG_OOB, the OOB data should be lost.
>>> from socket import *
>>> c1, c2 = socketpair(AF_UNIX, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
>>> c1.send(b'hello', MSG_OOB) # 'o' is OOB data
5
>>> c1.send(b'world')
5
>>> c2.recv(5) # OOB data is not received
b'hell'
>>> c2.recv(5) # OOB date is skipped
b'world'
>>> c2.recv(5, MSG_OOB) # This should return an error
b'o'
In the same situation, TCP actually returns -EINVAL for the last
recv().
Also, if we do not clear unix_sk(sk)->oob_skb, unix_poll() always set
EPOLLPRI even though the data has passed through by previous recv().
To avoid these issues, we must clear unix_sk(sk)->oob_skb when dequeuing
it from recv queue.
The reason why the old GC did not trigger the deadlock is because the
old GC relied on the receive queue to detect the loop.
When it is triggered, the socket with OOB data is marked as GC candidate
because file refcount == inflight count (1). However, after traversing
all inflight sockets, the socket still has a positive inflight count (1),
thus the socket is excluded from candidates. Then, the old GC lose the
chance to garbage-collect the socket.
With the old GC, the repro continues to create true garbage that will
never be freed nor detected by kmemleak as it's linked to the global
inflight list. That's why we couldn't even notice the issue.

[ Upstream commit 4539f91f2a ]
On startup, ovs-vswitchd probes different datapath features including
support for timeout policies. While probing, it tries to execute
certain operations with OVS_PACKET_ATTR_PROBE or OVS_FLOW_ATTR_PROBE
attributes set. These attributes tell the openvswitch module to not
log any errors when they occur as it is expected that some of the
probes will fail.
For some reason, setting the timeout policy ignores the PROBE attribute
and logs a failure anyway. This is causing the following kernel log
on each re-start of ovs-vswitchd:
kernel: Failed to associated timeout policy `ovs_test_tp'
Fix that by using the same logging macro that all other messages are
using. The message will still be printed at info level when needed
and will be rate limited, but with a net rate limiter instead of
generic printk one.
The nf_ct_set_timeout() itself will still print some info messages,
but at least this change makes logging in openvswitch module more
consistent.

commit b1f532a3b1 upstream.
If the MTU of one of an attached interface becomes too small to transmit
the local translation table then it must be resized to fit inside all
fragments (when enabled) or a single packet.
But if the MTU becomes too low to transmit even the header + the VLAN
specific part then the resizing of the local TT will never succeed. This
can for example happen when the usable space is 110 bytes and 11 VLANs are
on top of batman-adv. In this case, at least 116 byte would be needed.
There will just be an endless spam of
batman_adv: batadv0: Forced to purge local tt entries to fit new maximum fragment MTU (110)
in the log but the function will never finish. Problem here is that the
timeout will be halved all the time and will then stagnate at 0 and
therefore never be able to reduce the table even more.
There are other scenarios possible with a similar result. The number of
BATADV_TT_CLIENT_NOPURGE entries in the local TT can for example be too
high to fit inside a packet. Such a scenario can therefore happen also with
only a single VLAN + 7 non-purgable addresses - requiring at least 120
bytes.
While this should be handled proactively when:
* interface with too low MTU is added
* VLAN is added
* non-purgeable local mac is added
* MTU of an attached interface is reduced
* fragmentation setting gets disabled (which most likely requires dropping
attached interfaces)
not all of these scenarios can be prevented because batman-adv is only
consuming events without the the possibility to prevent these actions
(non-purgable MAC address added, MTU of an attached interface is reduced).
It is therefore necessary to also make sure that the code is able to handle
also the situations when there were already incompatible system
configuration are present.

commit 025f8ad20f upstream.
mpls_gso_segment() assumes skb_inner_network_header() returns
a valid result:
mpls_hlen = skb_inner_network_header(skb) - skb_network_header(skb);
if (unlikely(!mpls_hlen || mpls_hlen % MPLS_HLEN))

With syzbot reproducer, skb_inner_network_header() yields 0,
skb_network_header() returns 108, so this will
"pskb_may_pull(skb, -108)))" which triggers a newly added
DEBUG_NET_WARN_ON_ONCE() check:

So add new skb_inner_network_header_was_set() helper and use that.
The syzbot reproducer injects data via packet socket. The skb that gets
allocated and passed down the stack has ->protocol set to NSH (0x894f)
and gso_type set to SKB_GSO_UDP | SKB_GSO_DODGY.
This gets passed to skb_mac_gso_segment(), which sees NSH as ptype to
find a callback for. nsh_gso_segment() retrieves next type:
proto = tun_p_to_eth_p(nsh_hdr(skb)->np);
... which is MPLS (TUN_P_MPLS_UC). It updates skb->protocol and then
calls mpls_gso_segment(). Inner offsets are all 0, so mpls_gso_segment()
ends up with a negative header size.
In case more callers rely on silent handling of such large may_pull values
we could also 'legalize' this behaviour, either replacing the debug check
with (len > INT_MAX) test or removing it and instead adding a comment
before existing
if (unlikely(len > skb->len))
return SKB_DROP_REASON_PKT_TOO_SMALL;
test in pskb_may_pull_reason(), saying that this check also implicitly
takes care of callers that miscompute header sizes.

[ Upstream commit 48201a3b3f ]
The ATS2851 controller erroneously reports support for the "Read
Encryption Key Length" HCI command. This makes it unable to connect
to any devices, since this command is issued by the kernel during the
connection process in response to an "Encryption Change" HCI event.
Add a new quirk (HCI_QUIRK_BROKEN_ENC_KEY_SIZE) to hint that the command
is unsupported, preventing it from interrupting the connection process.
This is the error log from btmon before this patch:
