951bcae6c5 kallsyms: Avoid weak references for kallsyms symbols
kallsyms is a directory of all the symbols in the vmlinux binary, and so
creating it is somewhat of a chicken-and-egg problem, as its non-zero
size affects the layout of the binary, and therefore the values of the
symbols.

For this reason, the kernel is linked more than once, and the first pass
does not include any kallsyms data at all. For the linker to accept
this, the symbol declarations describing the kallsyms metadata are
emitted as having weak linkage, so they can remain unsatisfied. During
the subsequent passes, the weak references are satisfied by the kallsyms
metadata that was constructed based on information gathered from the
preceding passes.

Weak references lead to somewhat worse codegen, because taking their
address may need to produce NULL (if the reference was unsatisfied), and
this is not usually supported by RIP or PC relative symbol references.

Given that these references are ultimately always satisfied in the final
link, let's drop the weak annotation, and instead, provide fallback
definitions in the linker script that are only emitted if an unsatisfied
reference exists.

While at it, drop the FRV specific annotation that these symbols reside
in .rodata - FRV is long gone.

fe90f3967b sched: Add missing memory barrier in switch_mm_cid
Many architectures' switch_mm() (e.g. arm64) do not have an smp_mb()
which the core scheduler code has depended upon since commit:

    commit 223baf9d17 ("sched: Fix performance regression introduced by mm_cid")

If switch_mm() doesn't call smp_mb(), sched_mm_cid_remote_clear() can
unset the actively used cid when it fails to observe active task after it
sets lazy_put.

There *is* a memory barrier between storing to rq->curr and _return to
userspace_ (as required by membarrier), but the rseq mm_cid has stricter
requirements: the barrier needs to be issued between store to rq->curr
and switch_mm_cid(), which happens earlier than:

  - spin_unlock(),
  - switch_to().

So it's fine when the architecture switch_mm() happens to have that
barrier already, but less so when the architecture only provides the
full barrier in switch_to() or spin_unlock().

It is a bug in the rseq switch_mm_cid() implementation. All architectures
that don't have memory barriers in switch_mm(), but rather have the full
barrier either in finish_lock_switch() or switch_to() have them too late
for the needs of switch_mm_cid().

Introduce a new smp_mb__after_switch_mm(), defined as smp_mb() in the
generic barrier.h header, and use it in switch_mm_cid() for scheduler
transitions where switch_mm() is expected to provide a memory barrier.

Architectures can override smp_mb__after_switch_mm() if their
switch_mm() implementation provides an implicit memory barrier.
Override it with a no-op on x86 which implicitly provide this memory
barrier by writing to CR3.

5284984a4f bug: Fix no-return-statement warning with !CONFIG_BUG
BUG() does not return, and arch implementations of BUG() use unreachable()
or other non-returning code. However with !CONFIG_BUG, the default
implementation is often used instead, and that does not do that. x86 always
uses its own implementation, but powerpc with !CONFIG_BUG gives a build
error:

  kernel/time/timekeeping.c: In function ‘timekeeping_debug_get_ns’:
  kernel/time/timekeeping.c:286:1: error: no return statement in function
  returning non-void [-Werror=return-type]

Add unreachable() to default !CONFIG_BUG BUG() implementation.

Michael Kelley
f2580a907e x86/hyperv: Use Hyper-V entropy to seed guest random number generator
A Hyper-V host provides its guest VMs with entropy in a custom ACPI
table named "OEM0". The entropy bits are updated each time Hyper-V
boots the VM, and are suitable for seeding the Linux guest random
number generator (rng). See a brief description of OEM0 in [1].

Generation 2 VMs on Hyper-V use UEFI to boot. Existing EFI code in
Linux seeds the rng with entropy bits from the EFI_RNG_PROTOCOL.
Via this path, the rng is seeded very early during boot with good
entropy. The ACPI OEM0 table provided in such VMs is an additional
source of entropy.

Generation 1 VMs on Hyper-V boot from BIOS. For these VMs, Linux
doesn't currently get any entropy from the Hyper-V host. While this
is not fundamentally broken because Linux can generate its own entropy,
using the Hyper-V host provided entropy would get the rng off to a
better start and would do so earlier in the boot process.

Improve the rng seeding for Generation 1 VMs by having Hyper-V specific
code in Linux take advantage of the OEM0 table to seed the rng. For
Generation 2 VMs, use the OEM0 table to provide additional entropy
beyond the EFI_RNG_PROTOCOL. Because the OEM0 table is custom to
Hyper-V, parse it directly in the Hyper-V code in the Linux kernel
and use add_bootloader_randomness() to add it to the rng. Once the
entropy bits are read from OEM0, zero them out in the table so
they don't appear in /sys/firmware/acpi/tables/OEM0 in the running
VM. The zero'ing is done out of an abundance of caution to avoid
potential security risks to the rng. Also set the OEM0 data length
to zero so a kexec or other subsequent use of the table won't try
to use the zero'ed bits.

c087a5c324 mm: recover pud_leaf() definitions in nopmd case
This reverts one change in commit 924bd6a8c9 ("mm/x86: drop two
unnecessary pud_leaf() definitions").

One issue with that is it broke nopmd builds for at least both arm64 and
riscv (CONFIG_PGTABLE_LEVELS=2). The other issue is it was overlooked that
it's a common change rather than x86 specific (relevant to the commit
message of the commit).

Normally there's no need for empty definition of pXd_leaf() because of the
fallback functions, however this logic may not apply to pgtable-nopmd.h,
because that's a header that can even be used by arch *pgtable.h headers,
which can use the *_leaf() definitions _before_ the fallback functions are
defined. Leave it there to pass PGTABLE_LEVELS=2 builds.

Pull hardening updates from Kees Cook:
 "As is pretty normal for this tree, there are changes all over the
  place, especially for small fixes, selftest improvements, and improved
  macro usability.

  Some header changes ended up landing via this tree as they depended on

0e3f7d1200 hyperv-tlfs: Change prefix of generic HV_REGISTER_* MSRs to HV_MSR_*
The HV_REGISTER_ are used as arguments to hv_set/get_register(), which
delegate to arch-specific mechanisms for getting/setting synthetic
Hyper-V MSRs.

On arm64, HV_REGISTER_ defines are synthetic VP registers accessed via
the get/set vp registers hypercalls. The naming matches the TLFS
document, although these register names are not specific to arm64.

However, on x86 the prefix HV_REGISTER_ indicates Hyper-V MSRs accessed
via rdmsrl()/wrmsrl(). This is not consistent with the TLFS doc, where
HV_REGISTER_ is *only* used for used for VP register names used by
the get/set register hypercalls.

To fix this inconsistency and prevent future confusion, change the
arch-generic aliases used by callers of hv_set/get_register() to have
the prefix HV_MSR_ instead of HV_REGISTER_.

Use the prefix HV_X64_MSR_ for the x86-only Hyper-V MSRs. On x86, the
generic HV_MSR_'s point to the corresponding HV_X64_MSR_.

Move the arm64 HV_REGISTER_* defines to the asm-generic hyperv-tlfs.h,
since these are not specific to arm64. On arm64, the generic HV_MSR_'s
point to the corresponding HV_REGISTER_.

While at it, rename hv_get/set_registers() and related functions to
hv_get/set_msr(), hv_get/set_nested_msr(), etc. These are only used for
Hyper-V MSRs and this naming makes that clear.

2947a4567f treewide: update LLVM Bugzilla links
LLVM moved their issue tracker from their own Bugzilla instance to GitHub
issues. While all of the links are still valid, they may not necessarily
show the most up to date information around the issues, as all updates
will occur on GitHub, not Bugzilla.

Another complication is that the Bugzilla issue number is not always the
same as the GitHub issue number. Thankfully, LLVM maintains this mapping
through two shortlinks:

  https://llvm.org/bz<num> -> https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=<num>
  https://llvm.org/pr<num> -> https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/<mapped_num>

Switch all "https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=<num>" links to the
"https://llvm.org/pr<num>" shortlink so that the links show the most up to
date information. Each migrated issue links back to the Bugzilla entry,
so there should be no loss of fidelity of information here.

d7f861b9c4 mm/mmu_gather: add __tlb_remove_folio_pages()
Add __tlb_remove_folio_pages(), which will remove multiple consecutive
pages that belong to the same large folio, instead of only a single page.
We'll be using this function when optimizing unmapping/zapping of large
folios that are mapped by PTEs.

We're using the remaining spare bit in an encoded_page to indicate that
the next enoced page in an array contains actually shifted "nr_pages".
Teach swap/freeing code about putting multiple folio references, and
delayed rmap handling to remove page ranges of a folio.

This extension allows for still gathering almost as many small folios as
we used to (-1, because we have to prepare for a possibly bigger next
entry), but still allows for gathering consecutive pages that belong to
the same large folio.

Note that we don't pass the folio pointer, because it is not required for
now.  Further, we don't support page_size != PAGE_SIZE, it won't be
required for simple PTE batching.

We have to provide a separate s390 implementation, but it's fairly
straight forward.

Another, more invasive and likely more expensive, approach would be to use
folio+range or a PFN range instead of page+nr_pages. But, we should do
that consistently for the whole mmu_gather. For now, let's keep it simple
and add "nr_pages" only.

Note that it is now possible to gather significantly more pages: In the
past, we were able to gather ~10000 pages, now we can also gather ~5000
folio fragments that span multiple pages. A folio fragment on x86-64 can
span up to 512 pages (2 MiB THP) and on arm64 with 64k in theory 8192
pages (512 MiB THP). Gathering more memory is not considered something we
should worry about, especially because these are already corner cases.

While we can gather more total memory, we won't free more folio fragments.
As long as page freeing time primarily only depends on the number of
involved folios, there is no effective change for !preempt configurations.
However, we'll adjust tlb_batch_pages_flush() separately to handle corner
cases where page freeing time grows proportionally with the actual memory
size.

c30d6bc8d0 mm/mmu_gather: pass "delay_rmap" instead of encoded page to __tlb_remove_page_size()
We have two bits available in the encoded page pointer to store additional
information. Currently, we use one bit to request delay of the rmap
removal until after a TLB flush.

We want to make use of the remaining bit internally for batching of
multiple pages of the same folio, specifying that the next encoded page
pointer in an array is actually "nr_pages". So pass page + delay_rmap
flag instead of an encoded page, to handle the encoding internally.

66a5c40f60 kernel.h: removed REPEAT_BYTE from kernel.h
This patch creates wordpart.h and includes it in asm/word-at-a-time.h
for all architectures. WORD_AT_A_TIME_CONSTANTS depends on kernel.h
because of REPEAT_BYTE. Moving this to another header and including it
where necessary allows us to not include the bloated kernel.h. Making
this implicit dependency on REPEAT_BYTE explicit allows for later
improvements in the lib/string.c inclusion list.

If CONFIG_SMP is not enabled, the smp_load_acquire/smp_store_release is

READ_ONCE/READ_ONCE already checks the pointer type, and then checks it
more stringently outside, but the non-SMP case simply isn't relevant, so
remove the extra compiletime_assert_atomic_type() to avoid compilation

is better than the default implementation on at least arc, x86, and

implementation has 41.6667%, 25% fewer instructions on riscv64, x86-64

other implementations except for arm which has barrel shifting and

3e7aeb78ab Networking changes for 6.8.
Core & protocols
 ----------------

  - Analyze and reorganize core networking structs (socks, netdev,
    netns, mibs) to optimize cacheline consumption and set up
    build time warnings to safeguard against future header changes.
    This improves TCP performances with many concurrent connections
    up to 40%.

  - Add page-pool netlink-based introspection, exposing the
    memory usage and recycling stats. This helps indentify
    bad PP users and possible leaks.

  - Refine TCP/DCCP source port selection to no longer favor even
    source port at connect() time when IP_LOCAL_PORT_RANGE is set.
    This lowers the time taken by connect() for hosts having
    many active connections to the same destination.

  - Refactor the TCP bind conflict code, shrinking related socket
    structs.

  - Refactor TCP SYN-Cookie handling, as a preparation step to
    allow arbitrary SYN-Cookie processing via eBPF.

  - Tune optmem_max for 0-copy usage, increasing the default value
    to 128KB and namespecifying it.

  - Allow coalescing for cloned skbs coming from page pools, improving
    RX performances with some common configurations.

  - Reduce extension header parsing overhead at GRO time.

  - Add bridge MDB bulk deletion support, allowing user-space to
    request the deletion of matching entries.

  - Reorder nftables struct members, to keep data accessed by the
    datapath first.

  - Introduce TC block ports tracking and use. This allows supporting
    multicast-like behavior at the TC layer.

  - Remove UAPI support for retired TC qdiscs (dsmark, CBQ and ATM) and
    classifiers (RSVP and tcindex).

  - More data-race annotations.

  - Extend the diag interface to dump TCP bound-only sockets.

  - Conditional notification of events for TC qdisc class and actions.

  - Support for WPAN dynamic associations with nearby devices, to form
    a sub-network using a specific PAN ID.

  - Implement SMCv2.1 virtual ISM device support.

  - Add support for Batman-avd mulicast packet type.

 BPF
 ---

  - Tons of verifier improvements:
    - BPF register bounds logic and range support along with a large
      test suite
    - log improvements
    - complete precision tracking support for register spills
    - track aligned STACK_ZERO cases as imprecise spilled registers. It
      improves the verifier "instructions processed" metric from single
      digit to 50-60% for some programs
    - support for user's global BPF subprogram arguments with few
      commonly requested annotations for a better developer experience
    - support tracking of BPF_JNE which helps cases when the compiler
      transforms (unsigned) "a > 0" into "if a == 0 goto xxx" and the
      like
    - several fixes

  - Add initial TX metadata implementation for AF_XDP with support in
    mlx5 and stmmac drivers. Two types of offloads are supported right
    now, that is, TX timestamp and TX checksum offload.

  - Fix kCFI bugs in BPF all forms of indirect calls from BPF into
    kernel and from kernel into BPF work with CFI enabled. This allows
    BPF to work with CONFIG_FINEIBT=y.

  - Change BPF verifier logic to validate global subprograms lazily
    instead of unconditionally before the main program, so they can be
    guarded using BPF CO-RE techniques.

  - Support uid/gid options when mounting bpffs.

  - Add a new kfunc which acquires the associated cgroup of a task
    within a specific cgroup v1 hierarchy where the latter is identified
    by its id.

  - Extend verifier to allow bpf_refcount_acquire() of a map value field
    obtained via direct load which is a use-case needed in sched_ext.

  - Add BPF link_info support for uprobe multi link along with bpftool
    integration for the latter.

  - Support for VLAN tag in XDP hints.

  - Remove deprecated bpfilter kernel leftovers given the project
    is developed in user-space (https://github.com/facebook/bpfilter).

Merge tag 'net-next-6.8' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/netdev/net-next

Pull networking updates from Paolo Abeni:
 "The most interesting thing is probably the networking structs
  reorganization and a significant amount of changes is around
  self-tests.

  Core & protocols:

   - Analyze and reorganize core networking structs (socks, netdev,
     netns, mibs) to optimize cacheline consumption and set up build
     time warnings to safeguard against future header changes

     This improves TCP performances with many concurrent connections up
     to 40%

   - Add page-pool netlink-based introspection, exposing the memory
     usage and recycling stats. This helps indentify bad PP users and
     possible leaks

   - Refine TCP/DCCP source port selection to no longer favor even
     source port at connect() time when IP_LOCAL_PORT_RANGE is set. This
     lowers the time taken by connect() for hosts having many active
     connections to the same destination

   - Refactor the TCP bind conflict code, shrinking related socket
     structs

   - Refactor TCP SYN-Cookie handling, as a preparation step to allow
     arbitrary SYN-Cookie processing via eBPF

   - Tune optmem_max for 0-copy usage, increasing the default value to
     128KB and namespecifying it

   - Allow coalescing for cloned skbs coming from page pools, improving
     RX performances with some common configurations

   - Reduce extension header parsing overhead at GRO time

   - Add bridge MDB bulk deletion support, allowing user-space to
     request the deletion of matching entries

   - Reorder nftables struct members, to keep data accessed by the
     datapath first

   - Introduce TC block ports tracking and use. This allows supporting
     multicast-like behavior at the TC layer

   - Remove UAPI support for retired TC qdiscs (dsmark, CBQ and ATM) and
     classifiers (RSVP and tcindex)

   - More data-race annotations

   - Extend the diag interface to dump TCP bound-only sockets

   - Conditional notification of events for TC qdisc class and actions

   - Support for WPAN dynamic associations with nearby devices, to form
     a sub-network using a specific PAN ID

   - Implement SMCv2.1 virtual ISM device support

   - Add support for Batman-avd mulicast packet type

  BPF:

   - Tons of verifier improvements:
       - BPF register bounds logic and range support along with a large
         test suite
       - log improvements
       - complete precision tracking support for register spills
       - track aligned STACK_ZERO cases as imprecise spilled registers.
         This improves the verifier "instructions processed" metric from
         single digit to 50-60% for some programs
       - support for user's global BPF subprogram arguments with few
         commonly requested annotations for a better developer
         experience
       - support tracking of BPF_JNE which helps cases when the compiler
         transforms (unsigned) "a > 0" into "if a == 0 goto xxx" and the
         like
       - several fixes

   - Add initial TX metadata implementation for AF_XDP with support in
     mlx5 and stmmac drivers. Two types of offloads are supported right
     now, that is, TX timestamp and TX checksum offload

   - Fix kCFI bugs in BPF all forms of indirect calls from BPF into
     kernel and from kernel into BPF work with CFI enabled. This allows
     BPF to work with CONFIG_FINEIBT=y

   - Change BPF verifier logic to validate global subprograms lazily
     instead of unconditionally before the main program, so they can be
     guarded using BPF CO-RE techniques

c299010061 asm-generic cleanups for 6.8
A series from Baoquan He cleans up the asm-generic/io.h to remove the
 ioremap_uc() definition from everything except x86, which still needs it
 for pre-PAT systems. This series notably contains a patch from Jiaxun Yang
 that converts MIPS to use asm-generic/io.h like every other architecture
 does, enabling future cleanups.

 Some of my own patches fix -Wmissing-prototype warnings in architecture
 specific code across several architectures. This is now needed as the
 warning is enabled by default. There are still some remaining warnings
 in minor platforms, but the series should catch most of the widely used
 ones make them more consistent with one another.

 David McKay fixes a bug in __generic_cmpxchg_local() when this is used
 on 64-bit architectures. This could currently only affect parisc64
 and sparc64.

 Additional cleanups address from Linus Walleij, Uwe Kleine-König,
 Thomas Huth, and Kefeng Wang help reduce unnecessary inconsistencies
 between architectures.

1ab33c0314 asm-generic: make sparse happy with odd-sized put_unaligned_*()
__put_unaligned_be24() and friends use implicit casts to convert
larger-sized data to bytes, which trips sparse truncation warnings when
the argument is a constant:

    CC [M]  drivers/input/touchscreen/hynitron_cstxxx.o
    CHECK   drivers/input/touchscreen/hynitron_cstxxx.c
  drivers/input/touchscreen/hynitron_cstxxx.c: note: in included file (through arch/x86/include/generated/asm/unaligned.h):
  include/asm-generic/unaligned.h:119:16: warning: cast truncates bits from constant value (aa01a0 becomes a0)
  include/asm-generic/unaligned.h:120:20: warning: cast truncates bits from constant value (aa01 becomes 1)
  include/asm-generic/unaligned.h:119:16: warning: cast truncates bits from constant value (ab00d0 becomes d0)
  include/asm-generic/unaligned.h:120:20: warning: cast truncates bits from constant value (ab00 becomes 0)

To avoid this let's mask off upper bits explicitly, the resulting code
should be exactly the same, but it will keep sparse happy.

Commit 656e9007ef ("asm-generic: avoid __generic_cmpxchg_local

negative numbers on a system where longs are 64 bit.

69dfdce1c5 kunit: move KUNIT_TABLE out of INIT_DATA
Alter the linker section of KUNIT_TABLE to move it out of INIT_DATA and
into DATA_DATA.

Data for KUnit tests does not need to be in the init section.

In order to run tests again after boot the KUnit data cannot be labeled as
init data as the kernel could write over it.

Add a KUNIT_INIT_TABLE in the next patch for KUnit tests that test init

7a92fc8b4d mm: Introduce flush_cache_vmap_early()
The pcpu setup when using the page allocator sets up a new vmalloc
mapping very early in the boot process, so early that it cannot use the
flush_cache_vmap() function which may depend on structures not yet
initialized (for example in riscv, we currently send an IPI to flush
other cpus TLB).

But on some architectures, we must call flush_cache_vmap(): for example,
in riscv, some uarchs can cache invalid TLB entries so we need to flush
the new established mapping to avoid taking an exception.

So fix this by introducing a new function flush_cache_vmap_early() which
is called right after setting the new page table entry and before
accessing this new mapping. This new function implements a local flush
tlb on riscv and is no-op for other architectures (same as today).

75b5e0bf90 arm64: irq: set the correct node for VMAP stack
In current code, init_irq_stacks() will call cpu_to_node().
The cpu_to_node() depends on percpu "numa_node" which is initialized in:
     arch_call_rest_init() --> rest_init() -- kernel_init()
	--> kernel_init_freeable() --> smp_prepare_cpus()

But init_irq_stacks() is called in init_IRQ() which is before
arch_call_rest_init().

So in init_irq_stacks(), the cpu_to_node() does not work, it
always return 0. In NUMA, it makes the node 1 cpu accesses the IRQ stack which
is in the node 0.

This patch fixes it by:
  1.) export the early_cpu_to_node(), and use it in the init_irq_stacks().
  2.) change init_irq_stacks() to __init function.

125b0bb95d asm-generic: qspinlock: fix queued_spin_value_unlocked() implementation
We really don't want to do atomic_read() or anything like that, since we
already have the value, not the lock. The whole point of this is that
we've loaded the lock from memory, and we want to check whether the
value we loaded was a locked one or not.

The main use of this is the lockref code, which loads both the lock and
the reference count in one atomic operation, and then works on that
combined value. With the atomic_read(), the compiler would pointlessly
spill the value to the stack, in order to then be able to read it back
"atomically".

This is the qspinlock version of commit c6f4a90022 ("asm-generic:
ticket-lock: Optimize arch_spin_value_unlocked()") which fixed this same
bug for ticket locks.

3cf3fabccb Locking changes in this cycle are:
- Futex improvements:

     - Add the 'futex2' syscall ABI, which is an attempt to get away from the
       multiplex syscall and adds a little room for extentions, while lifting
       some limitations.

     - Fix futex PI recursive rt_mutex waiter state bug

     - Fix inter-process shared futexes on no-MMU systems

     - Use folios instead of pages

  - Micro-optimizations of locking primitives:

     - Improve arch_spin_value_unlocked() on asm-generic ticket spinlock
       architectures, to improve lockref code generation.

     - Improve the x86-32 lockref_get_not_zero() main loop by adding
       build-time CMPXCHG8B support detection for the relevant lockref code,
       and by better interfacing the CMPXCHG8B assembly code with the compiler.

     - Introduce arch_sync_try_cmpxchg() on x86 to improve sync_try_cmpxchg()
       code generation. Convert some sync_cmpxchg() users to sync_try_cmpxchg().

     - Micro-optimize rcuref_put_slowpath()

  - Locking debuggability improvements:

     - Improve CONFIG_DEBUG_RT_MUTEXES=y to have a fast-path as well

     - Enforce atomicity of sched_submit_work(), which is de-facto atomic but
       was un-enforced previously.

     - Extend <linux/cleanup.h>'s no_free_ptr() with __must_check semantics

     - Fix ww_mutex self-tests

     - Clean up const-propagation in <linux/seqlock.h> and simplify
       the API-instantiation macros a bit.

  - RT locking improvements:

     - Provide the rt_mutex_*_schedule() primitives/helpers and use them
       in the rtmutex code to avoid recursion vs. rtlock on the PI state.

     - Add nested blocking lockdep asserts to rt_mutex_lock(), rtlock_lock()
       and rwbase_read_lock().

  - Plus misc fixes & cleanups

247dbcdbf7 bitops: add xor_unlock_is_negative_byte()
Replace clear_bit_and_unlock_is_negative_byte() with
xor_unlock_is_negative_byte(). We have a few places that like to lock a
folio, set a flag and unlock it again. Allow for the possibility of
combining the latter two operations for efficiency. We are guaranteed
that the caller holds the lock, so it is safe to unlock it with the xor.
The caller must guarantee that nobody else will set the flag without
holding the lock; it is not safe to do this with the PG_dirty flag, for
example.

052ddf7b86 fbdev: Replace fb_pgprotect() with pgprot_framebuffer()
Rename the fbdev mmap helper fb_pgprotect() to pgprot_framebuffer().
The helper sets VMA page-access flags for framebuffers in device I/O
memory.

Also clean up the helper's parameters and return value. Instead of
the VMA instance, pass the individial parameters separately: existing
page-access flags, the VMAs start and end addresses and the offset
in the underlying device memory rsp file. Return the new page-access
flags. These changes align pgprot_framebuffer() with other pgprot_()
functions.

v4:
	* fix commit message (Christophe)
v3:
	* rename fb_pgprotect() to pgprot_framebuffer() (Arnd)
