177af8285b coresight: cti: Enable CTI associated with devices
The CoreSight subsystem enables a path of devices from source to sink.
Any CTI devices associated with the path devices must be enabled at the
same time.

This patch adds an associated coresight_device element to the main
coresight device structure, and uses this to create associations between
the CTI and other devices based on the device tree data. The associated
device element is used to enable CTI in conjunction with the path elements.

CTI devices are reference counted so where a single CTI is associated with
multiple elements on the path, it will be enabled on the first associated
device enable, and disabled with the last associated device disable.

a5614770ab coresight: cti: Add device tree support for custom CTI
Adds support for CTIs whose connections are implementation defined at
hardware design time, and not constrained by v8 architecture.

These CTIs have no standard connection setup, all the settings have to
be defined in the device tree files. The patch creates a set of connections
and trigger signals based on the information provided.

cffd054f17 coresight: cti: Add device tree support for v8 arch CTI
The v8 architecture defines the relationship between a PE, its optional ETM
and a CTI. Unlike non-architectural CTIs which are implementation defined,
this has a fixed set of connections which can therefore be represented as a
simple tag in the device tree.

This patch defines the tags needed to create an entry for this PE/ETM/CTI
relationship, and provides functionality to implement the connection model
in the CTI driver.

835d722ba1 coresight: cti: Initial CoreSight CTI Driver
This introduces a baseline CTI driver and associated configuration files.

Uses the platform agnostic naming standard for CoreSight devices, along
with a generic platform probing method that currently supports device
tree descriptions, but allows for the ACPI bindings to be added once these
have been defined for the CTI devices.

Driver will probe for the device on the AMBA bus, and load the CTI driver
on CoreSight ID match to CTI IDs in tables.

Initial sysfs support for enable / disable provided.

Default CTI interconnection data is generated based on hardware
register signal counts, with no additional connection information.

Some of the newly added code in the etm4x driver is inside of an #ifdef,

ab832e38e4 intel_th: Fix freeing IRQs
Commit aac8da6517 ("intel_th: msu: Start handling IRQs") implicitly
relies on the use of devm_request_irq() to subsequently free the irqs on
device removal, but in case of the pci_free_irq_vectors() API, the
handlers need to be freed before it is called. Therefore, at the moment
the driver's remove path trips a BUG_ON(irq_has_action()):

Fix this by explicitly freeing irqs before freeing the vectors. We keep
using the devm_* variants because they are still useful in early error
paths.

edda32dabe coresight: Serialize enabling/disabling a link device.
When tracing etm data of multiple threads on multiple cpus through perf
interface, some link devices are shared between paths of different cpus.
It creates race conditions when different cpus wants to enable/disable
the same link device at the same time.

Example 1:
Two cpus want to enable different ports of a coresight funnel, thus
calling the funnel enable operation at the same time. But the funnel
enable operation isn't reentrantable.

Example 2:
For an enabled coresight dynamic replicator with refcnt=1, one cpu wants
to disable it, while another cpu wants to enable it. Ideally we still have
an enabled replicator with refcnt=1 at the end. But in reality the result
is uncertain.

Since coresight devices claim themselves when enabled for self-hosted
usage, the race conditions above usually make the link devices not usable
after many cycles.

To fix the race conditions, this patch uses spinlocks to serialize
enabling/disabling link devices.

f188b5e76a coresight: etm4x: Save/restore state across CPU low power states
Some hardware will ignore bit TRCPDCR.PU which is used to signal
to hardware that power should not be removed from the trace unit.
Let's mitigate against this by conditionally saving and restoring
the trace unit state when the CPU enters low power states.

This patchset introduces a firmware property named
'arm,coresight-loses-context-with-cpu' - when this is present the
hardware state will be conditionally saved and restored.

A module parameter 'pm_save_enable' is also introduced which can
be configured to override the firmware property. This can be set
to never allow save/restore or to conditionally allow it (only for
self-hosted). The default value is determined by firmware.

We avoid saving the hardware state when self-hosted coresight isn't
in use to reduce PM latency - we can't determine this by reading the
claim tags (TRCCLAIMCLR) as these are 'trace' registers which need
power and clocking, something we can't easily provide in the PM
context. Therefore we rely on the existing drvdata->mode internal
state that is set when self-hosted coresight is used (and powered).

Pull LED updates from Jacek Anaszewski:
"In this cycle we've finally managed to contribute the patch set
sorting out LED naming issues. Besides that there are many changes
scattered among various LED class drivers and triggers.

  LED naming related improvements:

   - add new 'function' and 'color' fwnode properties and deprecate
'label' property which has been frequently abused for conveying
vendor specific names that have been available in sysfs anyway

   - introduce a set of standard LED_FUNCTION* definitions

   - introduce a set of standard LED_COLOR_ID* definitions

   - add a new {devm_}led_classdev_register_ext() API with the
capability of automatic LED name composition basing on the
properties available in the passed fwnode; the function is
backwards compatible in a sense that it uses 'label' data, if
present in the fwnode, for creating LED name

   - add tools/leds/get_led_device_info.sh script for retrieving LED
vendor, product and bus names, if applicable; it also performs
basic validation of an LED name

   - update following drivers and their DT bindings to use the new LED
     registration API:

        - leds-an30259a, leds-gpio, leds-as3645a, leds-aat1290, leds-cr0014114,
          leds-lm3601x, leds-lm3692x, leds-lp8860, leds-lt3593, leds-sc27xx-blt

  Other LED class improvements:

   - replace {devm_}led_classdev_register() macros with inlines

   - allow to call led_classdev_unregister() unconditionally

   - switch to use fwnode instead of be stuck with OF one

  LED triggers improvements:

   - led-triggers:
        - fix dereferencing of null pointer
        - fix a memory leak bug

   - ledtrig-gpio:
        - GPIO 0 is valid

Drop superseeded apu2/3 support from leds-apu since for apu2+ a newer,
more complete driver exists, based on a generic driver for the AMD
SOCs gpio-controller, supporting LEDs as well other devices:

   - drop profile field from priv data

   - drop iosize field from priv data

   - drop enum_apu_led_platform_types

   - drop superseeded apu2/3 led support

   - add pr_fmt prefix for better log output

   - fix error message on probing failure

Other misc fixes and improvements to existing LED class drivers:

   - leds-ns2, leds-max77650:
        - add of_node_put() before return

   - leds-pwm, leds-is31fl32xx:
        - use struct_size() helper

   - leds-lm3697, leds-lm36274, leds-lm3532:
        - switch to use fwnode_property_count_uXX()

   - leds-lm3532:
        - fix brightness control for i2c mode
        - change the define for the fs current register
        - fixes for the driver for stability
        - add full scale current configuration
        - dt: Add property for full scale current.
        - avoid potentially unpaired regulator calls
        - move static keyword to the front of declarations
        - fix optional led-max-microamp prop error handling

   - leds-max77650:
        - add of_node_put() before return
        - add MODULE_ALIAS()
        - Switch to fwnode property API

   - leds-as3645a:
        - fix misuse of strlcpy

   - leds-netxbig:
        - add of_node_put() in netxbig_leds_get_of_pdata()
        - remove legacy board-file support

   - leds-is31fl319x:
        - simplify getting the adapter of a client

   - leds-ti-lmu-common:
        - fix coccinelle issue
        - move static keyword to the front of declaration

7c672abc12 It's a somewhat calmer cycle for docs this time, as the churn of the mass
RST conversion is happily mostly behind us.

  - A new document on reproducible builds.

  - We finally got around to zapping the documentation for hardware support
that was removed in 2004; one doesn't want to rush these things.

  - The usual assortment of fixes, typo corrections, etc.

You'll still find a handful of annoying conflicts against other trees,
mostly tied to the last RST conversions; resolutions are straightforward
and the linux-next ones are good.

ec13c78d7b coresight: tmc-etr: Add barrier packets when moving offset forward
This patch adds barrier packets in the trace stream when the offset in the

3507d231a4 coresight: tmc-etr: Decouple buffer sync and barrier packet insertion
If less space is available in the perf ring buffer than the ETR buffer,
barrier packets inserted in the trace stream by tmc_sync_etr_buf() are
skipped over when the head of the buffer is moved forward, resulting in
traces that can't be decoded.

This patch decouples the process of syncing ETR buffers and the addition
of barrier packets in order to perform the latter once the offset in the

bbedcb91cc coresight: tmc-etr: Fix perf_data check
When tracing etm data of multiple threads on multiple cpus through
perf interface, each cpu has a unique etr_perf_buffer while sharing
the same etr device. There is no guarantee that the last cpu starts
etm tracing also stops last. This makes perf_data check fail.

Fix it by checking etr_buf instead of etr_perf_buffer.

TMC etr always copies all available data to perf aux buffer, which
may exceed the available space in perf aux buffer. It isn't suitable

1004ce4c25 coresight: etm4x: Use explicit barriers on enable/disable
Synchronization is recommended before disabling the trace registers
to prevent any start or stop points being speculative at the point
of disabling the unit (section 7.3.77 of ARM IHI 0064D).

Synchronization is also recommended after programming the trace
registers to ensure all updates are committed prior to normal code
resuming (section 4.3.7 of ARM IHI 0064D).

Let's ensure these syncronization points are present in the code
and clearly commented.

Note that we could rely on the barriers in CS_LOCK and
coresight_disclaim_device_unlocked or the context switch to user
space - however coresight may be of use in the kernel.

On armv8 the mb macro is defined as dsb(sy) - Given that the etm4x is
only used on armv8 let's directly use dsb(sy) instead of mb(). This
removes some ambiguity and makes it easier to correlate the code with
the TRM.

961b6ffe0e stm class: Fix a double free of stm_source_device
In the error path of stm_source_register_device(), the kfree is
unnecessary, as the put_device() before it ends up calling
stm_source_device_release() to free stm_source_device, leading to
a double free at the outer kfree() call. Remove it.

57b69a1f66 intel_th: msu: Get rid of the window size limit
Currently, the window size is limited to the maximum number of sg entries
in one table. This is because the code addresses individual blocks within
the window by their numeric index. In reality, though, the blocks most
often are iterated through sequentially. By rewriting the logic to use sg
pointers instead of block indices we loose the necessity to dereference
them directly and gain the ability to use multiple chained tables if
necessary.

Get rid of the limitation by replacing index-based block accesses with
sequential block accesses.

615c164da0 intel_th: msu: Introduce buffer interface
Introduces a concept of external buffers, which is a mechanism for creating
trace sinks that would receive trace data from MSC buffers and transfer it
elsewhere.

A external buffer can implement its own window allocation/deallocation if
it has to. It must provide a callback that's used to notify it when a
window fills up, so that it can then start a DMA transaction from that
window 'elsewhere'. This window remains in a 'locked' state and won't be
used for storing new trace data until the buffer 'unlocks' it with a
provided API call, at which point the window can be used again for storing
trace data.

This relies on a functional "last block" interrupt, so not all versions of
Trace Hub can use this feature, which does not reflect on existing users.

f632a8170a Driver Core and debugfs changes for 5.3-rc1
Here is the "big" driver core and debugfs changes for 5.3-rc1

It's a lot of different patches, all across the tree due to some api
changes and lots of debugfs cleanups. Because of this, there is going
to be some merge issues with your tree at the moment, I'll follow up
with the expected resolutions to make it easier for you.

Other than the debugfs cleanups, in this set of changes we have:
 	- bus iteration function cleanups (will cause build warnings
with s390 and coresight drivers in your tree)
 	- scripts/get_abi.pl tool to display and parse Documentation/ABI
 	  entries in a simple way
 	- cleanups to Documenatation/ABI/ entries to make them parse
easier due to typos and other minor things
 	- default_attrs use for some ktype users
 	- driver model documentation file conversions to .rst
 	- compressed firmware file loading
 	- deferred probe fixes

All of these have been in linux-next for a while, with a bunch of merge
issues that Stephen has been patient with me for. Other than the merge
issues, functionality is working properly in linux-next :)

418e3ea157 bus_find_device: Unify the match callback with class_find_device
There is an arbitrary difference between the prototypes of
bus_find_device() and class_find_device() preventing their callers
from passing the same pair of data and match() arguments to both of
them, which is the const qualifier used in the prototype of
class_find_device(). If that qualifier is also used in the
bus_find_device() prototype, it will be possible to pass the same
match() callback function to both bus_find_device() and
class_find_device(), which will allow some optimizations to be made in
order to avoid code duplication going forward. Also with that, constify
the "data" parameter as it is passed as a const to the match function.

For this reason, change the prototype of bus_find_device() to match
the prototype of class_find_device() and adjust its callers to use the
const qualifier in accordance with the new prototype of it.

0f5f9b6ba9 coresight: Use platform agnostic names
So far we have reused the name of the "platform" device for
the CoreSight device. But this is not very intuitive when
we move to ACPI. Also, the ACPI device names have ":" in them
(e.g, ARMHC97C:01), which the perf tool doesn't like very much.
This patch introduces a generic naming scheme, givin more intuitive
names for the devices that appear on the CoreSight bus.
The names follow the pattern "prefix" followed by "index" (e.g, etm5).
We maintain a list of allocated devices per "prefix" to make sure
we don't allocate a new name when it is reprobed (e.g, due to
unsatisifed device dependencies). So, we maintain the list
of "fwnodes" of the parent devices to allocate a consistent name.
All devices except the ETMs get an index allocated in the order
of probing. ETMs get an index based on the CPU they are attached to.

TMC devices are named using "tmc_etf", "tmc_etb", and "tmc_etr"
prefixes depending on the configuration of the device.

The replicators and funnels are not classified as dynamic/static
anymore. One could easily figure that out by checking the presence
of "mgmt" registers under sysfs.

37ea1ffddf coresight: Use fwnode handle instead of device names
We rely on the device names to find a CoreSight device on the
coresight bus. The device name however is obtained from the platform,
which is bound to the real platform/amba device. As we are about
to use different naming scheme for the coresight devices, we can't
rely on the platform device name to find the corresponding
coresight device. Instead we use the platform agnostic
"fwnode handle" of the parent device to find the devices.
We also reuse the same fwnode as the parent for the Coresight
device we create.

af7cfd0f80 coresight: Rearrange platform data probing
We are about to introduce methods to clean up the platform data
as we switch to tracking the device reference from "name" to "fwnode
handles" for device connections. This requires us to drop the fwnode
handle references when the data is no longer required - i.e, when
the device probe fails or the device gets unregistered.

In order to consolidate the invocation of the cleanup, we delay the
platform probing to the very last minute, possibly before invoking
the coresight_register. Then, we leave the coresight core code to
do the clean up. i.e, if the coresight_register fails, it takes
care of freeing the data. Otherwise, coresight_unregister will
do the necessary operations.

4c5bb6eb40 intel_th: Only report useful IRQs to subdevices
The only type of IRQ triggering event that is useful to us at the moment
is the "last block" interrupt of the MSU. This interrupt can only be
enabled via "MINTCTL" register that doesn't exist in earlier version of
the Intel TH.

Enumerate the presence of MINTCTL via per-device driver data structure
and only instantiate the IRQ resource for subdevices if this capability
is present.

split the resource indices between core and glue layers and change the

The CoreSight funnel driver only supports dynamic funnel with
registration register resource, thus it cannot support for the static
funnel case and it's impossible to create trace data path for this case.

This patch is to extend CoreSight funnel driver to support both for
static funnel and dynamic funnel. For the dynamic funnel it reuses the
code existed in the driver, for static funnel the driver will support
device probe if without providing register resource and the driver skips
registers accessing when detect the register base is NULL.

51e0f22781 stm class: Fix channel bitmap on 32-bit systems
Commit 7bd1d4093c ("stm class: Introduce an abstraction for System Trace
Module devices") naively calculates the channel bitmap size in 64-bit
chunks regardless of the size of underlying unsigned long, making the
bitmap half as big on a 32-bit system. This leads to an out of bounds
access with the upper half of the bitmap.

Fix this by using BITS_TO_LONGS. While at it, convert to using
struct_size() for the total size calculation of the master struct.

45763bf4bc Char/Misc driver patches for 5.1-rc1
Here is the big char/misc driver patch pull request for 5.1-rc1.

The largest thing by far is the new habanalabs driver for their AI
accelerator chip. For now it is in the drivers/misc directory but will
probably move to a new directory soon along with other drivers of this
 type.

Other than that, just the usual set of individual driver updates and
fixes. There's an "odd" merge in here from the DRM tree that they asked
me to do as the MEI driver is starting to interact with the i915 driver,
and it needed some coordination. All of those patches have been
properly acked by the relevant subsystem maintainers.

All of these have been in linux-next with no reported issues, most for
 quite some time.

e85fa28ebc ARM: 8838/1: drivers: amba: Updates to component identification for driver matching.
The CoreSight specification (ARM IHI 0029E), updates the ID register
requirements for components on an AMBA bus, to cover both traditional
ARM Primecell type devices, and newer CoreSight and other components.

The Peripheral ID (PID) / Component ID (CID) pair is extended in certain
cases to uniquely identify components. CoreSight components related to
a single function can share Peripheral ID values, and must be further
identified using a Unique Component Identifier (UCI). e.g. the ETM, CTI,
PMU and Debug hardware of the A35 all share the same PID.

Bits 15:12 of the CID are defined to be the device class.
Class 0xF remains for PrimeCell and legacy components.
Class 0x9 defines the component as CoreSight (CORESIGHT_CID above)
Class 0x0, 0x1, 0xB, 0xE define components that do not have driver support
at present.
Class 0x2-0x8,0xA and 0xD-0xD are presently reserved.

The specification futher defines which classes of device use the standard
CID/PID pair, and when additional ID registers are required.

This patch introduces the amba_cs_uci_id structure which will be used in
all coresight drivers for indentification via the private data pointer in
the amba_id structure.

Existing drivers that currently use the amba_id->data pointer for private
data are updated to use the amba_cs_uci_id->data pointer. Macros and
inline functions are added to simplify this code.

c60f83b813 perf, pt, coresight: Fix address filters for vmas with non-zero offset
Currently, the address range calculation for file-based filters works as
long as the vma that maps the matching part of the object file starts
from offset zero into the file (vm_pgoff==0). Otherwise, the resulting
filter range would be off by vm_pgoff pages. Another related problem is
that in case of a partially matching vma, that is, a vma that matches
part of a filter region, the filter range size wouldn't be adjusted.

Fix the arithmetics around address filter range calculations, taking
into account vma offset, so that the entire calculation is done before
the filter configuration is passed to the PMU drivers instead of having
those drivers do the final bit of arithmetics.

mixture of free and occupied channels. For example, opening three
consequtive channels, closing the first two and requesting 4 channels in
a row will trigger this soft lockup. The bug is that the search loop
forgets to skip over the range once it detects that one channel in that
range is occupied.

Restore the original intent to the logic by fixing the omission.

Commit c7fd62bc69 ("stm class: Introduce framing protocol drivers")
adds a bug into the error path of policy creation, that would do a

IOW,

CLAIM tag. Otherwise we could be corrupting the configuration done by an
external agent that would have claimed the device after we have released
it.

Commit 4d3ebd3658 ("coreisght: tmc: Claim device before use") uses
CLAIM tag to validate if the device is available, it needs to pass
the device base address to access related registers.

In the function tmc_etb_disable_hw() it wrongly passes the driver data

cb6102bd99 stm class: Rework policy node fallback
Currently, if no matching policy node can be found for a trace source,
we'll try to use "default" policy node, then, if that doesn't exist,
we'll pick the first node, in order of creation. If that also fails,
we'll allocate M/C range from the beginning of the device's M/C range.

This makes it difficult to know which node (if any) was used in any
particular case.

In order to make things more deterministic, the new order is as follows:
  * if they supply ID string, use that and nothing else,
  * if they are a task, use their task name (comm),
  * use "default", if it exists,
  * return failure, to let them know there is no suitable rule.

This should provide enough convenience with the "default" catch-all node,
while not leaving *everything* to chance. As a side effect, this relaxes
the requirement of using ioctl() for identification with the possibility of
using task names as policy nodes.

2478a6ae4a coresight: Add support for CLAIM tag protocol
Coresight architecture defines CLAIM tags for a device to negotiate
control of the components (external agent vs self-hosted). Each device
has a pair of registers (CLAIMSET & CLAIMCLR) for managing the CLAIM
tags. However, the protocol for the CLAIM tags is IMPLEMENTATION DEFINED.
PSCI has recommendations for the use of the CLAIM tags to negotiate
controls for external agent vs self-hosted use. This patch implements
the recommended protocol by PSCI.

The claim/disclaim operations are performed from the device specific
drivers. The disadvantage is that the calls are sprinkled in each driver,
but this makes the operation much simpler.

30af4fb619 coresight: dynamic-replicator: Handle multiple connections
When a replicator port is enabled, we block the traffic
on the other port and route all traffic to the new enabled
port. If there are two active trace sessions each targeting
the two different paths from the replicator, the second session
will disable the first session and route all the data to the
second path.

e.g, replicator
                 \
                    ETB

If CPU0 is operated in sysfs mode to ETR and CPU1 is operated
in perf mode to ETB, depending on the order in which the
replicator is enabled one device is blocked.

Ideally we need trace-id for the session to make the
right choice. That implies we need a trace-id allocation
logic for the coresight subsystem and use that to route
the traffic. The short term solution is to only manage
the "target port" and leave the other port untouched.
That leaves both the paths unaffected, except that some
unwanted traffic may be pushed to the paths (if the Trace-IDs
are not far enough), which is still fine and can be filtered
out while processing rather than silently blocking the data.
