This has been a very active release for the DesignWare driver in
particular - after a long period of inactivity we have had a lot of
people actively working on it for unrelated reasons this cycle with some
of that work still not landed. Otherwise it's been fairly quiet for the
subsystem. Highlights include:
- Lots of performance improvements and fixes for the DesignWare driver
from Serge Semin, Andy Shevchenko, Wan Ahmad Zainie, Clement Leger,
Dinh Nguyen and Jarkko Nikula.
- Support for octal mode transfers in spidev.
- Slave mode support for the Rockchip drivers.
- Support for AMD controllers, Broadcom mspi and Raspberry Pi 4,
and Intel Elkhart Lake.

Yes, staying withing 80 columns is certainly still _preferred_. But
it's not the hard limit that the checkpatch warnings imply, and other
concerns can most certainly dominate.
Increase the default limit to 100 characters. Not because 100
characters is some hard limit either, but that's certainly a "what are
you doing" kind of value and less likely to be about the occasional
slightly longer lines.
Miscellanea:
- to avoid unnecessary whitespace changes in files, checkpatch will no
longer emit a warning about line length when scanning files unless
--strict is also used
- Add a bit to coding-style about alignment to open parenthesis

Modern device tree bindings are supposed to be created as YAML-files
in accordance with dt-schema. This commit replaces two DW SPI legacy
bare text bindings with YAML file. As before the bindings file states
that the corresponding dts node is supposed to be compatible either
with generic DW APB SSI controller or with Microsemi/Amazon/Renesas/Intel
vendors-specific controllers, to have registers, interrupts and clocks
properties. Though in case of Microsemi version of the controller
there must be two registers resources specified. Properties like
clock-names, reg-io-width, cs-gpio, num-cs, DMA and slave device
sub-nodes are optional.

Baikal-T1 SoC provides an embedded process, voltage and temperature
sensor to monitor an internal SoC environment (chip temperature, supply
voltage and process monitor) and on time detect critical situations,
which may cause the system instability and even damages. The IP-block
is based on the Analog Bits PVT sensor, but is equipped with a
dedicated control wrapper, which provides a MMIO registers-based access
to the sensor core functionality (APB3-bus based) and exposes an
additional functions like thresholds/data ready interrupts, its status
and masks, measurements timeout. All of these is used to create a hwmon
driver being added to the kernel by this commit.
The driver implements support for the hardware monitoring capabilities
of Baikal-T1 process, voltage and temperature sensors. PVT IP-core
consists of one temperature and four voltage sensors, each of which is
implemented as a dedicated hwmon channel config.
The driver can optionally provide the hwmon alarms for each sensor the
PVT controller supports. The alarms functionality is made compile-time
configurable due to the hardware interface implementation peculiarity,
which is connected with an ability to convert data from only one sensor
at a time. Additional limitation is that the controller performs the
thresholds checking synchronously with the data conversion procedure.
Due to these limitations in order to have the hwmon alarms
automatically detected the driver code must switch from one sensor to
another, read converted data and manually check the threshold status
bits. Depending on the measurements timeout settings this design may
cause additional burden on the system performance. By default if the
alarms kernel config is disabled the data conversion is performed by
the driver on demand when read operation is requested via corresponding
_input-file.

Baikal-T1 SoC is equipped with an embedded process, voltage and
temperature sensor to monitor the chip internal environment like
temperature, supply voltage and transistors performance.
This bindings describes the external Baikal-T1 PVT control interfaces
like MMIO registers space, interrupt request number and clocks source.
These are then used by the corresponding hwmon device driver to
implement the sysfs files-based access to the sensors functionality.

Usage of plain %s conversion specifier in bpf_trace_printk() suffers from the
very same issue as bpf_probe_read{,str}() helpers, that is, it is broken on
archs with overlapping address ranges.
While the helpers have been addressed through work in 6ae08ae3de ("bpf: Add
probe_read_{user, kernel} and probe_read_{user, kernel}_str helpers"), we need
an option for bpf_trace_printk() as well to fix it.
Similarly as with the helpers, force users to make an explicit choice by adding
%pks and %pus specifier to bpf_trace_printk() which will then pick the corresponding
strncpy_from_unsafe*() variant to perform the access under KERNEL_DS or USER_DS.
The %pk* (kernel specifier) and %pu* (user specifier) can later also be extended
for other objects aside strings that are probed and printed under tracing, and
reused out of other facilities like bpf_seq_printf() or BTF based type printing.
Existing behavior of %s for current users is still kept working for archs where it
is not broken and therefore gated through CONFIG_ARCH_HAS_NON_OVERLAPPING_ADDRESS_SPACE.
For archs not having this property we fall-back to pick probing under KERNEL_DS as
a sensible default.

Raw Gadget is currently unable to stall/halt/wedge gadget endpoints,
which is required for proper emulation of certain USB classes.
This patch adds a few more ioctls:
- USB_RAW_IOCTL_EP0_STALL allows to stall control endpoint #0 when
there's a pending setup request for it.
- USB_RAW_IOCTL_SET/CLEAR_HALT/WEDGE allow to set/clear halt/wedge status
on non-control non-isochronous endpoints.

Currently automatic gadget endpoint selection based on required features
doesn't work. Raw Gadget tries iterating over the list of available
endpoints and finding one that has the right direction and transfer type.
Unfortunately selecting arbitrary gadget endpoints (even if they satisfy
feature requirements) doesn't work, as (depending on the UDC driver) they
might have fixed addresses, and one also needs to provide matching
endpoint addresses in the descriptors sent to the host.
The composite framework deals with this by assigning endpoint addresses
in usb_ep_autoconfig() before enumeration starts. This approach won't work
with Raw Gadget as the endpoints are supposed to be enabled after a
set_configuration/set_interface request from the host, so it's too late to
patch the endpoint descriptors that had already been sent to the host.
For Raw Gadget we take another approach. Similarly to GadgetFS, we allow
the user to make the decision as to which gadget endpoints to use.
This patch adds another Raw Gadget ioctl USB_RAW_IOCTL_EPS_INFO that
exposes information about all non-control endpoints that a currently
connected UDC has. This information includes endpoints addresses, as well
as their capabilities and limits to allow the user to choose the most
fitting gadget endpoint.
The USB_RAW_IOCTL_EP_ENABLE ioctl is updated to use the proper endpoint
validation routine usb_gadget_ep_match_desc().
These changes affect the portability of the gadgets that use Raw Gadget
when running on different UDCs. Nevertheless, as long as the user relies
on the information provided by USB_RAW_IOCTL_EPS_INFO to dynamically
choose endpoint addresses, UDC-agnostic gadgets can still be written with
Raw Gadget.

Here are some small firmware/driver core/debugfs fixes for 5.7-rc3.
The debugfs change is now possible as now the last users of
debugfs_create_u32() have been fixed up in the different trees that got
merged into 5.7-rc1, and I don't want it creeping back in.
The firmware changes did cause a regression in linux-next, so the final
patch here reverts part of that, re-exporting the symbol to resolve that
issue. All of these patches, with the exception of the final one, have
been in linux-next with only that one reported issue.

The defaults listed in the bindings don't match what the code is
actually doing. Presumably existing users care more about keeping
existing behavior the same, so change the bindings to match the code
in Linux.
The "qcom,preemphasis-level" default has been wrong for quite a long
time (May 2018). The other two were recently added.
As some evidence that these values are wrong, this is from the Linux
driver:
- qcom,preemphasis-level: sets "PORT_TUNE1", lower 2 bits. Driver
programs PORT_TUNE1 to 0x30 by default and (0x30 & 0x3) = 0.
- qcom,bias-ctrl-value: sets "PLL_BIAS_CONTROL_2", lower 6 bits.
Driver programs PLL_BIAS_CONTROL_2 to 0x20 by default and (0x20 &
0x3f) = 0x20 = 32.
- qcom,hsdisc-trim-value: sets "PORT_TUNE2", lower 2 bits. Driver
programs PORT_TUNE2 to 0x29 by default and (0x29 & 0x3) = 1.

There's several cases of json-schema 'additionalProperties' at the wrong
indentation level which has the effect of making them DT properties. This
is harmless, but let's fix them so a meta-schema check for this can be
added.
In all the cases, either the 'additionalProperties' was extra or doesn't
work because there's a $ref to more properties. In the latter case, we
can use 'unevaluatedProperties' instead.

As the number of schemas has increased, we're starting to hit the error
"execvp: /bin/sh: Argument list too long". This is due to passing all the
schema files on the command line to dt-mk-schema. It currently is only
with out of tree builds and is intermittent depending on the file path
lengths.
Commit 2ba06cd856 ("kbuild: Always validate DT binding examples") made
hitting this proplem more likely since the example validation now always
gets the full list of schemas.
Fix this by passing the schema file list in a pipe and using xargs. We end
up doing the find twice, but the time is insignificant compared to the
dt-mk-schema time.
