01e8f379a4 xfs: flush inode inactivation work when compiling usage statistics
Users have come to expect that the space accounting information in
statfs and getquota reports are fairly accurate. Now that we inactivate
inodes from a background queue, these numbers can be thrown off by
whatever resources are singly-owned by the inodes in the queue. Flush
the pending inactivations when userspace asks for a space usage report.

149e53afc8 xfs: remove the active vs running quota differentiation
These only made a difference when quotaoff supported disabling quota
accounting on a mounted file system, so we can switch everyone to use
a single set of flags and helpers now. Note that the *QUOTA_ON naming
for the helpers is kept as it was the much more commonly used one.

40b52225e5 xfs: remove support for disabling quota accounting on a mounted file system
Disabling quota accounting is hairy, racy code with all kinds of pitfalls.
And it has a very strange mind set, as quota accounting (unlike
enforcement) really is a propery of the on-disk format. There is no good
use case for supporting this.

1ad2cfe0a5 xfs: move the quotaoff dqrele inode walk into xfs_icache.c
The only external caller of xfs_inode_walk* happens in quotaoff, when we

df42ce64dc xfs: allow individual quota grace period extension
The only grace period which can be set in the kernel today is for id 0,
i.e. the default grace period for all users. However, setting an
individual grace period is useful; for example:

Alice has a soft quota of 100 inodes, and a hard quota of 200 inodes
Alice uses 150 inodes, and enters a short grace period
Alice really needs to use those 150 inodes past the grace period
The administrator extends Alice's grace period until next Monday

vfs quota users such as ext4 can do this today, with setquota -T

To enable this for XFS, we simply move the timelimit assignment out
from under the (id == 0) test. Default setting remains under (id == 0).
Note that this now is consistent with how we set warnings.

(Userspace requires updates to enable this as well; xfs_quota needs to
parse new options, and setquota needs to set appropriate field flags.)

the type of default quota we should get (user/group/project).

8a62714313 xfs: fix unmount hang and memory leak on shutdown during quotaoff
AIL removal of the quotaoff start intent and free of both quotaoff
intents is currently limited to the ->iop_committed() handler of the
end intent. This executes when the end intent is committed to the
on-disk log and marks the completion of the operation. The problem
with this is it assumes the success of the operation. If a shutdown
or other error occurs during the quotaoff, it's possible for the
quotaoff task to exit without removing the start intent from the
AIL. This results in an unmount hang as the AIL cannot be emptied.
Further, no other codepath frees the intents and so this is also a
memory leak vector.

First, update the high level quotaoff error path to directly remove
and free the quotaoff start intent if it still exists in the AIL at
the time of the error. Next, update both of the start and end
quotaoff intents with an ->iop_release() callback to properly handle
transaction abort.

This means that If the quotaoff start transaction aborts, it frees
the start intent in the transaction commit path. If the filesystem
shuts down before the end transaction allocates, the quotaoff
sequence removes and frees the start intent. If the end transaction
aborts, it removes the start intent and frees both. This ensures
that a shutdown does not result in a hung unmount and that memory is
not leaked regardless of when a quotaoff error occurs.

c8eac49ef7 xfs: remove all boilerplate defer init/finish code
At this point, the transaction subsystem completely manages deferred
items internally such that the common and boilerplate
xfs_trans_alloc() -> xfs_defer_init() -> xfs_defer_finish() ->
xfs_trans_commit() sequence can be replaced with a simple
transaction allocation and commit.

Remove all such boilerplate deferred ops code. In doing so, we
change each case over to use the dfops in the transaction and
specifically eliminate:

- The on-stack dfops and associated xfs_defer_init() call, as the
internal dfops is initialized on transaction allocation.
- xfs_bmap_finish() calls that precede a final xfs_trans_commit() of
  a transaction.
- xfs_defer_cancel() calls in error handlers that precede a
  transaction cancel.

The only deferred ops calls that remain are those that are
non-deterministic with respect to the final commit of the associated
transaction or are open-coded due to special handling.

02dff7bf81 xfs: pull up dfops from xfs_itruncate_extents()
xfs_itruncate_extents[_flags]() uses a local dfops with a
transaction provided by the caller. It uses hacky ->t_dfops
replacement logic to avoid stomping over an already populated
->t_dfops.

The latter never occurs for current callers and the logic itself is
not really appropriate. Clean this up by updating all callers to
initialize a dfops and to use that down in xfs_itruncate_extents().
This more closely resembles the upcoming logic where dfops will be
embedded within the transaction. We can also replace the
xfs_defer_init() in the xfs_itruncate_extents_flags() loop with an
assert. Both dfops and firstblock should be in a valid state
after xfs_defer_finish() and the inode joined to the dfops is fixed
throughout the loop.

30ab2dcf2c xfs: replace XFS_QMOPT_DQALLOC with a simple boolean
DQALLOC is only ever used with xfs_qm_dqget*, and the only flag that the
_dqget family of functions cares about is DQALLOC. Therefore, change
it to a boolean 'can alloc?' flag for the dqget interfaces where that
makes sense.

4882c19d2a xfs: split out dqget for inodes from regular dqget
There are two uses of dqget here -- one is to return the dquot for a
given type and id, and the other is to return the dquot for a given type
and inode. Those are two separate things, so split them into two
smaller functions.

e20c8a517f xfs: wait on new inodes during quotaoff dquot release
The quotaoff operation has a race with inode allocation that results
in a livelock. An inode allocation that occurs before the quota
status flags are updated acquires the appropriate dquots for the
inode via xfs_qm_vop_dqalloc(). It then inserts the XFS_INEW inode
into the perag radix tree, sometime later attaches the dquots to the
inode and finally clears the XFS_INEW flag. Quotaoff expects to
release the dquots from all inodes in the filesystem via
xfs_qm_dqrele_all_inodes(). This invokes the AG inode iterator,
which skips inodes in the XFS_INEW state because they are not fully
constructed. If the scan occurs after dquots have been attached to
an inode, but before XFS_INEW is cleared, the newly allocated inode
will continue to hold a reference to the applicable dquots. When
quotaoff invokes xfs_qm_dqpurge_all(), the reference count of those
dquot(s) remain elevated and the dqpurge scan spins indefinitely.

To address this problem, update the xfs_qm_dqrele_all_inodes() scan
to wait on inodes marked on the XFS_INEW state. We wait on the
inodes explicitly rather than skip and retry to avoid continuous
retry loops due to a parallel inode allocation workload. Since
quotaoff updates the quota state flags and uses a synchronous
transaction before the dqrele scan, and dquots are attached to
inodes after radix tree insertion iff quota is enabled, one INEW
waiting pass through the AG guarantees that the scan has processed
all inodes that could possibly hold dquot references.

253f4911f2 xfs: better xfs_trans_alloc interface
Merge xfs_trans_reserve and xfs_trans_alloc into a single function call
that returns a transaction with all the required log and block reservations,
and which allows passing transaction flags directly to avoid the cumbersome
_xfs_trans_alloc interface.

While we're at it we also get rid of the transaction type argument that has
been superflous since we stopped supporting the non-CIL logging mode. The
guts of it will be removed in another patch.

be6079461a xfs: Split default quota limits by quota type
Default quotas are globally set due historical reasons. IRIX only
supported user and project quotas, and default quota was only
applied to user quotas.

In Linux, when a default quota is set, all different quota types
inherits the same default value.

An user with a quota limit larger than the default quota value, will
still be limited to the default value because the group quotas also
inherits the default quotas. Unless the group which the user belongs
to have a custom quota limit set.

This patch aims to split the default quota value by quota type.
Allowing each quota type having different default values.

Default time limits are still set globally. XFS does not set a
per-user/group timer, but a single global timer. For changing this
behavior, some changes should be made in user-space tools another
bugs being fixed.

70393313dd xfs: saner xfs_trans_commit interface
The flags argument to xfs_trans_commit is not useful for most callers, as
a commit of a transaction without a permanent log reservation must pass
0 here, and all callers for a transaction with a permanent log reservation
except for xfs_trans_roll must pass XFS_TRANS_RELEASE_LOG_RES. So remove
the flags argument from the public xfs_trans_commit interfaces, and
introduce low-level __xfs_trans_commit variant just for xfs_trans_roll
that regrants a log reservation instead of releasing it.

4906e21545 xfs: remove the flags argument to xfs_trans_cancel
xfs_trans_cancel takes two flags arguments: XFS_TRANS_RELEASE_LOG_RES and
XFS_TRANS_ABORT. Both of them are a direct product of the transaction
state, and can be deducted:

 - any dirty transaction needs XFS_TRANS_ABORT to be properly canceled,
and XFS_TRANS_ABORT is a noop for a transaction that is not dirty.
 - any transaction with a permanent log reservation needs
XFS_TRANS_RELEASE_LOG_RES to be properly canceled, and passing
   XFS_TRANS_RELEASE_LOG_RES for a transaction without a permanent
   log reservation is invalid.

So just remove the flags argument and do the right thing.
