This is the bulk of pin control changes for v4.18.
No core changes this time! Just a calm all-over-the-place drivers, updates and fixes cycle as it seems. New drivers/subdrivers: - Actions Semiconductor S900 driver with more Actions variants for S700, S500 in the pipe. Also generic GPIO support on top of the same driver and IRQ support is in the pipe. - Renesas r8a77470 PFC support. - Renesas r8a77990 PFC support. - Allwinner Sunxi H6 R_PIO support. - Rockchip PX30 support. - Meson Meson8m2 support. - Remove support for the ill-fated Samsung Exynos 5440 SoC. Improvements: - Context save/restore support in pinctrl-single. - External interrupt support for the Mediatek MT7622. - Qualcomm ACPI HID QCOM8002 supported. Fixes: - Fix up suspend/resume support for Exynos 5433. - Fix Strago DMI fixes on the Intel Cherryview. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIcBAABAgAGBQJbGOinAAoJEEEQszewGV1zogcQAIaSUz5bwGhP+FmmIiHpJlGH MxpdIqu5cMg4e4IUA8jjB70xXgA48CLhAv/r6KjUIoF4G5wkDQS3vH+kIesdVbbK pmF1LvyJ0PfB6sWdUx98gevCtI0ok4lSvIr9fSGQjcZt5U6Ln4hrhs34Hz12+e3K BLhW+O1k1BbYEiPPpddgKL0F7cbEabx9wS056VjJKKbUxYMVprzaB4m/pbLHKrjW vgFis/HQyEEC0erdLCRxF4rpzoTYGhE5XaOygZjjjdawU3wa+RyndNAlxhTwSFS4 W7ZJ41QRKM2vedlxUYpZk5hRWxsLF3cAeBfdtJpvavsqJLZutcuhw1vRTo8+WZ0k X1KdtZmYnxOY+qoyg36uHf+kimcMUAHNKGVSoDxpbUEeJ+nSb7BD9YWfBlRikuq8 R0QDZ8+YxhqEt8np+SJx984Gnh2Rhxw9sWNJpJt609Nlp6aqTvmzuQbJPchHNk95 KNeFU/PZc0jPQLQVnrlHKQ/UM7PnnOYpGzloq+LBZpnHOHZJW1S8iOvJcPfay2eA x/zZfj8/IaXELa7Bh8kZrI2UIxvxvVtF+zfRMbupVRr8+CqDOz3m/g9G298NWv5+ SBnJJcLZikxgMvOupH3FKfdgQ7tgfJrXzKynasUm33Ex90cst5REFSlLVhzU0CLb 2TtsB46XFugt3czmKsi9 =6On2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'pinctrl-v4.18-1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linusw/linux-pinctrl Pull pin control updates from Linus Walleij: "This is the bulk of pin control changes for v4.18. 4.18 Merge window pull request
This has been a quiet cycle for RDMA, the big bulk is the usual smallish driver updates and bug fixes. About four new uAPI related things. Not as much Szykaller patches this time, the bugs it finds are getting harder to fix. - More work cleaning up the RDMA CM code - Usual driver bug fixes and cleanups for qedr, qib, hfi1, hns, i40iw, iw_cxgb4, mlx5, rxe - Driver specific resource tracking and reporting via netlink - Continued work for name space support from Parav - MPLS support for the verbs flow steering uAPI - A few tricky IPoIB fixes improving robustness - HFI1 driver support for the '16B' management packet format - Some auditing to not print kernel pointers via %llx or similar - Mark the entire 'UCM' user-space interface as BROKEN with the intent to remove it entirely. The user space side of this was long ago replaced with RDMA-CM and syzkaller is finding bugs in the residual UCM interface nobody wishes to fix because nobody uses it. - Purge more bogus BUG_ON's from Leon - 'flow counters' verbs uAPI - T10 fixups for iser/isert, these are Acked by Martin but going through the RDMA tree due to dependencies -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAABCgAGBQJbGEcPAAoJEDht9xV+IJsarBMQAIsAFOizycF0kQfDtvz1yHyV YjkT3NA71379DsDsCOezVKqZ6RtXdQncJoqqEG1FuNKiXh/rShR3rk9XmdBwUCTq mIY0ySiQggdeSIJclROiBuzLE3F/KIIkY3jwM80DzT9GUEbnVuvAMt4M56X48Xo8 RpFc13/1tY09ZLBVjInlfmCpRWyNgNccDBDywB/5hF5KCFR/BG/vkp4W0yzksKiU 7M/rZYyxQbtwSfe/ZXp7NrtwOpkpn7vmhED59YgKRZWhqnHF9KKmV+K1FN+BKdXJ V1KKJ2RQINg9bbLJ7H2JPdQ9EipvgAjUJKKBoD+XWnoVJahp6X2PjX351R/h4Lo5 TH+0XwuCZ2EdjRxhnm3YE+rU10mDY9/UUi1xkJf9vf0r25h6Fgt6sMnN0QBpqkTh euRZnPyiFeo1b+hCXJfKqkQ6An+F3zes5zvVf59l0yfVNLVmHdlz0lzKLf/RPk+t U+YZKxfmHA+mwNhMXtKx7rKVDrko+uRHjaX2rPTEvZ0PXE7lMzFMdBWYgzP6sx/b 4c55NiJMDAGTyLCxSc7ziGgdL9Lpo/pRZJtFOHqzkDg8jd7fb07ID7bMPbSa05y0 BU5VpC8yEOYRpOEFbkJSPtHc0Q8cMCv/q1VcMuuhKXYnfSho3TWvtOSQIjUoU/q0 8T6TXYi2yF+f+vZBTFlV =Mb8m -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rdma/rdma Pull rdma updates from Jason Gunthorpe: "This has been a quiet cycle for RDMA, the big bulk is the usual smallish driver updates and bug fixes. powerpc updates for 4.18
Notable changes: - Support for split PMD page table lock on 64-bit Book3S (Power8/9). - Add support for HAVE_RELIABLE_STACKTRACE, so we properly support live patching again. - Add support for patching barrier_nospec in copy_from_user() and syscall entry. - A couple of fixes for our data breakpoints on Book3S. - A series from Nick optimising TLB/mm handling with the Radix MMU. - Numerous small cleanups to squash sparse/gcc warnings from Mathieu Malaterre. - Several series optimising various parts of the 32-bit code from Christophe Leroy. - Removal of support for two old machines, "SBC834xE" and "C2K" ("GEFanuc,C2K"), which is why the diffstat has so many deletions. And many other small improvements & fixes. There's a few out-of-area changes. Some minor ftrace changes OK'ed by Steve, and a fix to our powernv cpuidle driver. Then there's a series touching mm, x86 and fs/proc/task_mmu.c, which cleans up some details around pkey support. It was ack'ed/reviewed by Ingo & Dave and has been in next for several weeks. The thirteen patches can mostly be broken down into one of four categories: general bug fixes, accessor functions for audit state stored in the task_struct, negative filter matches on executable names, and extending the (relatively) new seccomp logging knobs to the audit subsystem. The main driver for the accessor functions from Richard are the changes we're working on to associate audit events with containers, but I think they have some standalone value too so I figured it would be good to get them in now. The seccomp/audit patches from Tyler apply the seccomp logging improvements from a few releases ago to audit's seccomp logging; starting with this patchset the changes in /proc/sys/kernel/seccomp/actions_logged should apply to both the standard kernel logging and audit. As usual, everything passes the audit-testsuite and it happens to merge cleanly with your tree" [ Heh, except it had trivial merge conflicts with the SELinux tree that also came in from Paul - Linus ] * tag 'audit-pr-20180605' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/pcmoore/audit: audit: Fix wrong task in comparison of session ID audit: use existing session info function audit: normalize loginuid read access audit: use new audit_context access funciton for seccomp_actions_logged audit: use inline function to set audit context audit: use inline function to get audit context audit: convert sessionid unset to a macro seccomp: Don't special case audited processes when logging seccomp: Audit attempts to modify the actions_logged sysctl seccomp: Configurable separator for the actions_logged string seccomp: Separate read and write code for actions_logged sysctl audit: allow not equal op for audit by executable audit: add syscall information to FEATURE_CHANGE records |

It's been a busy release for the IPMI driver. Some notable changes:
A user was running into timeout issues doing maintenance commands over the IPMB network behind an IPMI controller. Extend the maintenance mode concept to messages over IPMB and allow the timeouts to be tuned. Lots of cleanup, style fixing, some bugfixes, and such. At least one user was having trouble with the way the IPMI driver would lock the i2c driver module it used. The IPMI driver was not designed for hotplug. However, hotplug is a reality now, so the IPMI driver was modified to support hotplug. The proc interface code is now completely removed. linux-kselftest-4.18-rc1
This Kselftest update for 4.18-rc1 consists of: - Work to restructure timers test suite to move PIE out of rtctest from Alexandre Belloni. - Several minor spelling and bug fixes. - New cgroup tests from Roman Gushchin and Mike Rapoport. - Kselftest framework changes to handle and report skipped tests correctly. Prior to these changes, framework treated all non-zero return codes from tests as failures. When tests are skipped with non-zero return code, due to unmet dependencies and/or unsupported configuration, reporting them as failed lead to false negatives on the tests that couldn't be run. - Fixes to test Makefiles to remove unnecessary RUN_TESTS and EMIT_TESTS overrides and use common defines from lib.mk. - Fixes to several tests to return correct Kselftest skip code. - Changes to improve test output. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIcBAABCAAGBQJbFaYgAAoJEAsCRMQNDUMccHkQAK3Bx9dw7MBR9z4LsT+/0Qr8 sgQp2WivuricX71T0JjqXImWsrloYS+4ChvaFCmvy1xIK29/4TtiXJR/pCcJrsQr JA3AzurtLVjNGLxKOJqP+ALxy/oc7JYXcmooxL332fmQafNsfazJm4HKWHwNuSJM 2fQ2xdbqWo3LT+pNHX1i7H0JRrudGbPmCufUO0UZra/9oTrlPgL6oC7q7+KG6hLL wLSQlF88MYXUm/lnNZyHc9aWGkOLmHcaHPXxMiCo/indI7UN+COUix2lOQ7dZ9a1 Paoo7f9GaS0pKfBGEhRc1aKzNOjDZgUPM+VWgKCkx9B2U8iUNwogt/jDh3feqzwJ 7yhha/g5vSLdhoWiFINmc0R+DEJ+OnG6v+G50M+XIYyriQ7zCoe209EOjgw4yhE4 epJL9CofiOt0/n7UGSNvvCzoEOtlBwhpmKzhnBMpYEzD8cykAJKOrUGjRs/URHyC MOkGxz4ZDOqsJSfsDd7aJ122SfeatwYey5H6GQgCgoP1D//qXRv3T7CVdIcPcFKs mhZEn0pekreMyz0dSpPHHfKFaNQBvUJ35taDq5r948mL6QN+TUev4mNjpnHTYgSy U7QdLiRKft3a01GCZedL/+NdMnege2kvtjpQka9Sa08/HN3aqMmYQHiQM101egUD /jUd/WF8O5/fNMkGOExk =eVzz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'linux-kselftest-4.18-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/shuah/linux-kselftest Pull Kselftest update from Shuah Khan: - Work to restructure timers test suite to move PIE out of rtctest from Alexandre Belloni. - Several minor spelling and bug fixes. - New cgroup tests from Roman Gushchin and Mike Rapoport. - Kselftest framework changes to handle and report skipped tests correctly. media: omap2: fix compile-testing with FB_OMAP2=m
Compile-testing with FB_OMAP2=m results in a link error:

In order to enable compile-testing but still keep the correct dependency,
this changes the Kconfig logic so we only allow CONFIG_COMPILE_TEST
building when FB_OMAP is completely disabled, or have use the old
dependency on FB_OMAP to ensure VIDEO_OMAP2_VOUT is also a loadable
module when FB_OMAP2 is.

Kconfig updates for v4.18
Kconfig now supports new functionality to perform textual substitution. It has been a while since Linus suggested to move compiler option tests from makefiles to Kconfig. Finally, here it is. The implementation has been generalized into a Make-like macro language. Some built-in functions such as 'shell' are provided. Variables and user-defined functions are also supported so that 'cc-option', 'ld-option', etc. are implemented as macros. Summary: - refactor package checks for building {m,n,q,g}conf - remove unused/unmaintained localization support - remove Kbuild cache - drop CONFIG_CROSS_COMPILE support - replace 'option env=' with direct variable expansion - add built-in functions such as 'shell' - support variables and user-defined functions - add helper macros as as 'cc-option' - add unit tests and a document of the new macro language - add 'testconfig' to help - fix warnings from GCC 8.1 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQIcBAABAgAGBQJbGBJPAAoJED2LAQed4NsG9QEP/24saP6Q3uF68yOsXcyE7yL0 VW6acNpCXFjyQZQuHB9JntD9oftSfPuY73mjVKPRvL29NopbFbe7O7wAOYSRvsZT cTZ5KF0FpG0enP6qUUiVpGZPGiSXKu21Lr/WrCdS889O2g5NxCB6OameQLjXkz5P EZb+QZD6drzYkXjipLJoliFJAhsbaACxmuCgO1gpg+qAEOm/fCnRk1qVwKffH21Z YlKMpw0FR3IdZA/cYp5Bh/WiICaCXs8lmMupHb4BHL4SvJGXxMEnuyt1txXANJcv 3nTxsMPwjdCGboEgCavbcUnTaONnFK6IdGhdSntsf1aKRqHntiA/cwqmJl2RX/6v ObX85dRjvyKq+qh9wEGvUle0LQYxhvJJ4NyWX5+wiRB6wzPCuqTPL0I1y6UPwAkQ JveUswQ7u3+dCBwuHeXFHWvpviNFkWO+Gc8E2h1PKroG0Tz3HpoQclvcZjsOXrRt HX2+6EsuYK2LnabwQzk4TRkI7JnTKpLGG/YoM4H360bNHs5KUwgm6g5V9Oo4L3E+ A5Jbow5siKtn7lIR9TXDou6O6F7L+bMiK+PlydPiv085EqUfhP+rkiJu9sb18GPD dsMXeTN51cJYLtDNiZ9tnPBtTB6Wvk7K1Dcmf3/t3rWVy35tjgl0RdxEySU153Pk n62ftyGGyUldBSzWcGWR =o37+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Merge tag 'kconfig-v4.18' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/masahiroy/linux-kbuild Pull Kconfig updates from Masahiro Yamada: "Kconfig now supports new functionality to perform textual substitution.
