This patch (as957) makes some minor cleanups to the g_file_storage
driver:

	Update the copyright date and version string;

	Uniformize the logging macros for the gadget and the LUNs;

	Remove "inline" markers -- nowadays we rely on the compiler
	to decide which routines are best inlined;

	Use the print_hex_dump() library routines;

	Remove some unnecessary assignments within conditionals
	and fix some close-brace indenting levels;

	Fix some column-80 violations.

e9df41c5c5 USB: make HCDs responsible for managing endpoint queues
This patch (as954) implements a suggestion of David Brownell's.  Now
the host controller drivers are responsible for linking and unlinking
URBs to/from their endpoint queues.  This eliminates the possiblity of
strange situations where usbcore thinks an URB is linked but the HCD
thinks it isn't.  It also means HCDs no longer have to check for URBs
being dequeued before they were fully enqueued.

In addition to the core changes, this requires changing every host
controller driver and the root-hub URB handler.  For the most part the
required changes are fairly small; drivers have to call
usb_hcd_link_urb_to_ep() in their urb_enqueue method,
usb_hcd_check_unlink_urb() in their urb_dequeue method, and
usb_hcd_unlink_urb_from_ep() before giving URBs back.  A few HCDs make
matters more complicated by the way they split up the flow of control.

In addition some method interfaces get changed.  The endpoint argument
for urb_enqueue is now redundant so it is removed.  The unlink status
is required by usb_hcd_check_unlink_urb(), so it has been added to
urb_dequeue.

Also go to straight GPL; there's no real point in dual licensing this
stuff any more.

Surprisingly, this saved about 2K of code (16%) on a fullspeed-only
ARMv4 platform.  I'm bit puzzled by that (it's so much!), but approve
of the result.

a4e3ef5597 USB: gadget: gadget_is_{dualspeed,otg} predicates and cleanup
This adds two small inlines to the gadget stack, which will
often evaluate to compile-time constants.  That can help
shrink object code and remove #ifdeffery.

 - gadget_is_dualspeed(), currently always a compile-time
   constant (depending on which controller is selected).

 - gadget_is_otg(), usually a compile time "false", but this
   is a runtime test if the platform enables OTG (since it's
   reasonable to populate boards with different USB sockets).

It also updates two peripheral controller drivers to use these:

 - fsl_usb2_udc, mostly OTG-related bugfixes:  non-OTG devices
   must follow the rules about drawing VBUS power, and OTG ones
   need to reject invalid SET_FEATURE requests.

 - omap_udc, just scrubbing a bit of #ifdeffery.

And also gadgetfs, which lost some #ifdefs and moved to a more
standard handling of DEBUG and VERBOSE_DEBUG.

The main benefits come from patches which will follow.

49b4f90285 USB: fix serial gadget ACM breakage
Two of the CDC ACM control requests in the serial gadget have never
been correct, and have been reported to cause serious troubles ... as
in, soft lockup and maybe watchdog reset (depending on hardware).

This patch makes those request fail cleanly, rather than misbehaving.
Someone using CDC ACM should fix them according to the FIXME comments
which now replace the previous bugs.

39d1f8c9fc USB: fsl_usb2_udc: fix bug in processing setup requests
Kim Liu found that in the original code certain class setup requests
are wrongly recognized and processed as standard setup requests.
For that reason gadget ether can't work in RNDIS mode with Windows host.

The patch fixes the setup request processing code, and makes class
requests correctly passed to gadget layer.

8c27303390 USB: px2xx_udc bugfix, missing check for gpio_pullup
git commit b2bbb20b37 added direct
support for PXA GPIO D+ pullup as alternative to the older udc_command
ops method.  This was done by introduction of the pxa2xx_udc_mach_info
member "gpio_pullup" which, if initialized, is now used in (almost)
all places where udc_command used to be called.

This patch fixes two places where checks for availability of D+ pullup
control still only honor udc_command.

1060bce7b7 USB: more pxa2xx_udc dead code removal
Remove some more dead code from the pxa2xx_udc driver:  support
for a no-longer-undocumented hardware "test mode".  Newer chips
made this the default, evidently as the best workaround for deep
silicon bugs.  The interest was that this seemed to be the only
way to kick in the (documented!) double buffering capability.

8314418629 Freezer: make kernel threads nonfreezable by default
Currently, the freezer treats all tasks as freezable, except for the kernel
threads that explicitly set the PF_NOFREEZE flag for themselves.  This
approach is problematic, since it requires every kernel thread to either
set PF_NOFREEZE explicitly, or call try_to_freeze(), even if it doesn't
care for the freezing of tasks at all.

It seems better to only require the kernel threads that want to or need to
be frozen to use some freezer-related code and to remove any
freezer-related code from the other (nonfreezable) kernel threads, which is
done in this patch.

The patch causes all kernel threads to be nonfreezable by default (ie.  to
have PF_NOFREEZE set by default) and introduces the set_freezable()
function that should be called by the freezable kernel threads in order to
unset PF_NOFREEZE.  It also makes all of the currently freezable kernel
threads call set_freezable(), so it shouldn't cause any (intentional)
change of behaviour to appear.  Additionally, it updates documentation to
describe the freezing of tasks more accurately.

70790f6339 USB: usb gadget stack can now -DDEBUG with Kconfig
Although the other USB driver directories got taught how use Kconfig
and the Makefile to enable the debugging messages enabled by -DDEBUG,
the gadget stack was overlooked.

This patch remedies that omission, but doesn't update any drivers to
remove previous idiosyncracies in this area ... other than the RNDIS
code, which defined its own DEBUG() macro in a broken way.

c67ab134ba usb gadget stack: remove usb_ep_*_buffer(), part 2
This patch removes controller driver infrastructure which supported
the now-removed usb_ep_{alloc,free}_buffer() calls.

As can be seen, many of the implementations of this were broken to
various degrees.  Many didn't properly return dma-coherent mappings;
those which did so were necessarily ugly because of bogosity in the
underlying dma_free_coherent() calls ... which on many platforms
can't be called from the same contexts (notably in_irq) from which
their dma_alloc_coherent() sibling can be called.

The main potential downside of removing this is that gadget drivers
wouldn't have specific knowledge that the controller drivers have:
endpoints that aren't dma-capable don't need any dma mappings at all.

9d8bab58b7 usb gadget stack: remove usb_ep_*_buffer(), part 1
Remove usb_ep_{alloc,free}_buffer() calls, for small dma-coherent buffers.
This patch just removes the interface and its users; later patches will
remove controller driver support.

  - This interface is invariably not implemented correctly in the
    controller drivers (e.g. using dma pools, a mechanism which
    post-dates the interface by several years).

  - At this point no gadget driver really *needs* to use it.  In
    current kernels, any driver that needs such a mechanism could
    allocate a dma pool themselves.

Removing this interface is thus a simplification and improvement.

Note that the gmidi.c driver had a bug in this area; fixed.

ad8c623f4f USB: pxa2xx_udc -- cleanups, mostly removing dma hooks
Cleanups to the pxa2xx_udc code:

  - Primarily removing unused DMA hooks.
  - One "sparse" warning removed
  - Remove some Lubbock-only LED hooks (for debugging)

That DMA code was never really completed.  It worked, mostly, for IN
transfers (to the host) if they were fortuitously aligned, but that
code was never fully tested.  And it was never coded for OUT transfers
(which is where DMA would really help) ... because of chip errata on
essentially every chip other than the pxa255, and because of design
botches (nothing automated data toggle).  So it's effectively been
dead code for several years now ... no point in keeping it around.

cfa59dab27 USB: Don't resume root hub if the controller is suspended
Root hubs can't be resumed if their parent controller device is still
suspended.  This patch (as925) adds a check for that condition in
hcd_bus_resume() and prevents it from being treated as a fatal
controller failure.

ehci-hcd is updated to add the corresponding test.  Unnecessary
debugging messages are removed from uhci-hcd and dummy-hcd.  The
error return code from dummy-hcd is changed to -ESHUTDOWN, the same as
the others.  ohci-hcd doesn't need any changes.

Suspend handling in the non-PCI host drivers is somewhat hit-and-miss.
This patch shouldn't have any effect on them.

3fc154b6b8 USB Gadget driver for Samsung s3c2410 ARM SoC

Currently the driver is expecting max ep number in platform
data which isn't passing this information.  This patch fix
the problem by reading it from DCCPARAMS(Device Controller

01ee7d7032 USB: usb gadgets avoid le{16,32}_to_cpup()
It turns out that le16_to_cpup() and le32_to_cpup() aren't always safe
to call with pointers into packed structures, since those are inlined
functions and GCC may lose the "packed" attribute.  So those references
can become unaligned kernel accesses, which are evil on some hardware.

This patch updates uses of those routines in the gadget stack.  The
references into packed structures can just use leXX_to_cpu(*x), which
in most cases is more natural.  Some other uses in RNDIS, mostly in
debug code, were wrong in the first place; those use get_unaligned().

b504882da5 USB: add Freescale high-speed USB SOC device controller driver
Freescale high-speed USB SOC can be found on some Freescale processors
among different architectures.  It supports both host and device functions.
This driver adds its device support for Linux USB Gadget layer.
It is tested on MPC8349 and MPC8313, but should work on other platforms
with minor tweaks.  The driver passed USBCV 1.3 compliance tests.  Note
that this driver doesn't yet include OTG support.

7053acbd78 [ARM] 4304/1: removes the unnecessary bit number from CKENnn_XXXX
This patch removes the unnecessary bit number from CKENnn_XXXX
definitions for PXA, so that

	CKEN0_PWM0 --> CKEN_PWM0
	CKEN1_PWM1 --> CKEN_PWM1
	...
	CKEN24_CAMERA --> CKEN_CAMERA

The reasons for the change of these defitions are:

1. they do not scale - they are currently valid for pxa2xx, but
definitely not valid for pxa3xx, e.g., pxa3xx has bit 3 for camera
instead of bit 24

2. they are unnecessary - the peripheral name within the definition
has already announced its usage, we don't need those bit numbers
to know which peripheral we are going to enable/disable clock for

3. they are inconvenient - think about this: a driver programmer
for pxa has to remember which bit in the CKEN register to turn
on/off

Another change in the patch is to make the definitions equal to its
clock bit index, so that

   #define CKEN_CAMERA  (24)

instead of

   #define CKEN_CAMERA  (1 << 24)

this change, however, will add a run-time bit shift operation in
pxa_set_cken(), but the benefit of this change is that it scales
when bit index exceeds 32, e.g., pxa3xx has two registers CKENA
and CKENB, totally 64 bit for this, suppose CAMERA clock enabling
bit is CKENB:10, one can simply define CKEN_CAMERA to be (32 + 10)
and so that pxa_set_cken() need minimum change to adapt to that.

8a3c1f573c USB: omap_udc: workaround dma_free_coherent() bogosity
Various fixes to omap_udc, noted with some recent testing:

 - Cope with some SMP-induced braindamage in ARM's dma_{alloc,free}_coherent()
   implementation: alloc() can be called with IRQs blocked, but since late
   last year that's no longer true for free().  This resolves really NASTY
   problems with logspamming via WARN_ON(), indicating N-page leaks.

 - Be more correct in handling GET_STATUS request for RECIP_ENDPOINT ... the
   previous code only handled RECIP_INTERFACE, this version should be correct
   except for (sigh) bulk/interrupt endpoints.

 - Provide a better name for the function reporting whether the board has
   vbus sensing wired up.

GET_STATUS requests for endpoint status still acts strangely though, at least
given one flakey host doesn't always ack the first DATA packet, then the packet
that gets retransmitted doesn't have data!

8356f3113d USB: fix g_serial small error
A SET_LINE_CODING control request should return a zero length packet
as an ACK to the host, during the status phase of a USB transaction.

The return value of gs_setup_class() is treated as the number of
bytes to write in the status phase of the control request, by
gs_setup(). For this case, the value returned by gs_setup_class should
be zero for SET_LINE_CODING but, right now, appears to be
sizeof(struct usb_cdc_line_coding).

However, if after doing the memcpy of the line coding descriptor we
set the variable "ret" to be zero, we should return the appropiate ZLP
to the host as an ACK in the status phase of the control request.
I've tested this out using Linux as both host and slave and confirmed
that the following small change fixes the spurious return of
sizeof(struct usb_cdc_line_coding)/wLength bytes in the status phase
of a USB_CDC_REQ_SET_LINE_CODING request. It's not a huge bug but, it
is worth fixing.

cd354f1ae7 [PATCH] remove many unneeded #includes of sched.h
After Al Viro (finally) succeeded in removing the sched.h #include in module.h
recently, it makes sense again to remove other superfluous sched.h includes.
There are quite a lot of files which include it but don't actually need
anything defined in there.  Presumably these includes were once needed for
macros that used to live in sched.h, but moved to other header files in the
course of cleaning it up.

To ease the pain, this time I did not fiddle with any header files and only
removed #includes from .c-files, which tend to cause less trouble.

Compile tested against 2.6.20-rc2 and 2.6.20-rc2-mm2 (with offsets) on alpha,
arm, i386, ia64, mips, powerpc, and x86_64 with allnoconfig, defconfig,
allmodconfig, and allyesconfig as well as a few randconfigs on x86_64 and all
configs in arch/arm/configs on arm.  I also checked that no new warnings were
introduced by the patch (actually, some warnings are removed that were emitted
by unnecessarily included header files).

32f3f49910 [ARM] 4141/1: consolidate functions that handles gpio in pxa2xx_udc
This patch renames pxa_gpio_set/get functions defined in drivers/usb/gadget/pxa2xx_udc.h to udc_gpio_set/get.

These functions are moved from drivers/usb/gadget/pxa2xx_udc.h to include/asm-arm/arch-pxa2xx/udc.h

Creates new functions: udc_gpio_to_irq, udc_gpio_init_vbus, udc_gpio_init_pullup in include/asm-arm/arch-pxa2xx/udc.h. These functions are used in drivers/usb/gadget/pxa2xx_udc.c instead of direct low-level (pxa2xx only) functions.

Creates all these udc_gpio_* functions in include/asm-arm/arch-ixp4xx/udc.h. This implementation has no real code because ixp4xx doesn't use vbus - only vbus uses all these gpio functions (and because ixp4xx misses any function which converts number of gpio pin into it's irq).

This is next step to make pxa2xx_udc fully work on ixp4xx platform.

49631ca7f3 USB: gadgetfs AIO tweaks
This patch (as837) fixes several mistakes in the AIO interface of the
gadgetfs driver:

	The ki_retry method is not supposed to do a put on the kiocb.
	The extra call to aio_put_req() causes memory corruption.
	(Note: This call was removed before, by patch as691, and then
	mysteriously re-introduced later.)

	Even if a read transfer is cancelled, we can and should send
	to the user all the data that did manage to get transferred.

	Testing for AIO cancellation in the I/O completion handler
	is both racy and (now) unnecessary.  aio_complete() does its
	own checking, in a safe manner.

This resolves a race in gadgetfs associated with changing device/ep0
when processing control requests.  The fix is to change that state
earlier, when the control response is issued, so there's no window
in which userspace could see the wrong state; and enlarge the scope

This updates the AT91 UDC driver's handling of wakeup events:

 - Fix a bug in the original scheme, which was never updated after
   the {enable,disable}_irq_wake() semantics were updated to address
   refcounting issues (i.e. behave for shared irqs).

 - Couple handling of both type of wakeup events, to be more direct.  The
   controller can be source of wakeup events for cases like bus reset
   and USB resume.  On some boards, VBUS sensing is also IRQ driven.

Gadgetfs had a mode in which endpoint descriptors were written by the user
program before connection.  This mode had some bugs, and hasn't seen much
(if any) use.  This patch removes that mode, leaving the mode of operation
where the user program waits for endpoint 0 to report a SET_CONFIGURATION,
and only then configures the endpoints.

11d5489873 USB: ethernet gadget interop with MCCI Windows driver
It turns out that minor tweaks to the "CDC Subset" support in the Ethernet
gadget driver, just updating a config descriptor, let it be automagically
recognized by a Windows driver supported by MCCI.

This patch adds those descriptors, so systems using PXA 255 processors
(like Gumstix etc) can interop with those commercial MS-Windows drivers.
This is a Good Thing since Microsoft's RNDIS code has bugginess issues,
which are unfortunately compounded by "won't fix" issues as well as "the
published specs are incomplete and wrong" issues.  Being able to talk to
the MCCI driver gives Windows users another connectivity option.  (MCCI
also has CDC Ethernet drivers, which can help most non-PXA processors.)

This patch zeroes some variables when usb_gadget_register_driver()
fails. gadgetfs does a dummy registration to get the name of the USB
driver and then waits for user-land driver. If someone plugs the cable
in the meantime, bad things happen, because at91_udc has been left in
inconsistent state.

only difference is how they handle the pullup pin.

Need to clear any pending USB Device interrupts before registering the
interrupt handler.  The bootloader might have been using the USB Device
port.   [Patch from Peer Georgi]

VBUS detection is handled by a GPIO interrupt which only triggers on a
change. Is is therefore necessary to read the current VBUS state
explicitly at startup.  [Patch from Peer Georgi]

ioremap()'ed instead of using a statically mapped memory area.  This
helps portability to the newer AT91sam926x processors.

parameter to at91_udp_read() and at91_udp_write().

6bea476cf6 USB: gadget driver unbind() is optional; section fixes; misc
Allow gadget drivers to omit the unbind() method.  When they're
statically linked, that's an appropriate memory saving tweak.

Similarly, provide consistent/simpler handling for a should-not-happen
error case:  removing a peripheral controller driver when a gadget
driver is still loaded.  Such code dates back to early versions of the
first implementation of the gadget API, and has never been triggered.

Includes relevant section annotation fixs for gmidi.c, file_storage.c,
and serial.c; we don't yet have an "init or exit" annotation.  Also
some whitespace fixes in gmidi.c (space at EOL, before tabs, etc).

This is the grungy swap all the occurrences in the right places patch that
goes with the updates.  At this point we have the same functionality as
before (except that sgttyb() returns speeds not zero) and are ready to
begin turning new stuff on providing nobody reports lots of bugs

If you are a tty driver author converting an out of tree driver the only
impact should be termios->ktermios name changes for the speed/property
setting functions from your upper layers.

If you are implementing your own TCGETS function before then your driver
was broken already and its about to get a whole lot more painful for you so
please fix it 8)

Also fill in c_ispeed/ospeed on init for most devices, although the current
code will do this for you anyway but I'd like eventually to lose that extra
paranoia

1f26e28d3e USB: net2280: don't send unwanted zero-length packets
The net2280 driver is too eager to send zero-length packets when
IN tokens are received on ep0.  No such packet should be sent (the
driver should NAK) before the gadget driver has queued the proper
response.  Otherwise deferred responses are impossible.

This patch (as823) makes net2280 avoid sending ZLPs for IN transfers
on ep0 until a response has been submitted, and avoids stalling when an
OUT packet is received before a request has been submitted for an OUT
transfer on ep0.

58a0cd7887 [ARM] 3963/1: AT91: Update configuration files
A number of configuration file changes.

These are mainly to replace references to ARCH_AT91RM9200 and

7d12e780e0 IRQ: Maintain regs pointer globally rather than passing to IRQ handlers
Maintain a per-CPU global "struct pt_regs *" variable which can be used instead
of passing regs around manually through all ~1800 interrupt handlers in the
Linux kernel.

The regs pointer is used in few places, but it potentially costs both stack
space and code to pass it around.  On the FRV arch, removing the regs parameter
from all the genirq function results in a 20% speed up of the IRQ exit path
(ie: from leaving timer_interrupt() to leaving do_IRQ()).

Where appropriate, an arch may override the generic storage facility and do
something different with the variable.  On FRV, for instance, the address is
maintained in GR28 at all times inside the kernel as part of general exception
handling.

Having looked over the code, it appears that the parameter may be handed down
through up to twenty or so layers of functions.  Consider a USB character
device attached to a USB hub, attached to a USB controller that posts its
interrupts through a cascaded auxiliary interrupt controller.  A character
device driver may want to pass regs to the sysrq handler through the input
layer which adds another few layers of parameter passing.

I've build this code with allyesconfig for x86_64 and i386.  I've runtested the
main part of the code on FRV and i386, though I can't test most of the drivers.
I've also done partial conversion for powerpc and MIPS - these at least compile
with minimal configurations.

This will affect all archs.  Mostly the changes should be relatively easy.
Take do_IRQ(), store the regs pointer at the beginning, saving the old one:

	struct pt_regs *old_regs = set_irq_regs(regs);

And put the old one back at the end:

	set_irq_regs(old_regs);

Don't pass regs through to generic_handle_irq() or __do_IRQ().

In timer_interrupt(), this sort of change will be necessary:

	-	update_process_times(user_mode(regs));
	-	profile_tick(CPU_PROFILING, regs);
	+	update_process_times(user_mode(get_irq_regs()));
	+	profile_tick(CPU_PROFILING);

I'd like to move update_process_times()'s use of get_irq_regs() into itself,
except that i386, alone of the archs, uses something other than user_mode().

Some notes on the interrupt handling in the drivers:

 (*) input_dev() is now gone entirely.  The regs pointer is no longer stored in
     the input_dev struct.

 (*) finish_unlinks() in drivers/usb/host/ohci-q.c needs checking.  It does
     something different depending on whether it's been supplied with a regs
     pointer or not.

 (*) Various IRQ handler function pointers have been moved to type
     irq_handler_t.

b68e31d0eb [PATCH] const struct tty_operations
As part of an SMP cleanliness pass over UML, I consted a bunch of
structures in order to not have to document their locking.  One of these
structures was a struct tty_operations.  In order to const it in UML
without introducing compiler complaints, the declaration of
tty_set_operations needs to be changed, and then all of its callers need to
be fixed.

This patch declares all struct tty_operations in the tree as const.  In all
cases, they are static and used only as input to tty_set_operations.  As an
extra check, I ran an i386 allyesconfig build which produced no extra
warnings.

53 drivers are affected.  I checked the history of a bunch of them, and in
most cases, there have been only a handful of maintenance changes in the
last six months.  serial_core.c was the busiest one that I looked at.

901b3d75e7 USB: net2280: update dma buffer allocation
This updates the code handling dma-coherent buffer allocations, basically
reusing code from the musb_hdrc driver.  Instead of trying to work around two
significant limitations of the dma framework (memory wastage for buffers
smaller than a page, and inconsistency between calling context requirements
for allocation and free) this just works around one of them (the latter).

So count this as two steps forward (bugfixes:  the latter issue could cause
errors on some platforms, and some MIPS changes broke code for the former), 
and one step back (increasing cross-platform memory wastage).

Plus linelength and whitespace fixes; and minor data segment shrinkage.

1720058343 usbcore: trim down usb_bus structure
As part of the ongoing program to flatten out the HCD bus-glue layer,
this patch (as771b) eliminates the hcpriv, release, and kref fields
from struct usb_bus.  hcpriv and release were not being used for
anything worthwhile, and kref has been moved into the enclosing
usb_hcd structure.

Along with those changes, the patch gets rid of usb_bus_get and
usb_bus_put, replacing them with usb_get_hcd and usb_put_hcd.

The one interesting aspect is that the dev_set_drvdata call was
removed from usb_put_hcd, where it clearly doesn't belong.  This means
the driver private data won't get reset to NULL.  It shouldn't cause
any problems, since the private data is undefined when no driver is
bound.

f2ebf92c9e USB: gmidi: New USB MIDI Gadget class driver.
This driver is glue between the USB gadget interface
and the ALSA MIDI interface. It allows us to appear
as a MIDI Streaming device to a host system on the
other end of a USB cable.

This includes linux/usb/audio.h and linux/usb/midi.h
containing definitions from the relevant USB specifications
for USB audio and USB MIDI devices.

The following changes have been made since the first RFC
posting:

* Bug fixes to endpoint handling.

8a7471aba1 USB: fix ep_config to return correct value
This patch fixes ep_config to return correct value. Without patch
ep_config returns submitted lenght minus 4 on succes. With this
patch applied, whole submitted lenght is returned.

ep_config parses submitted data and if buffer starts with (int) 1
it is parsed, otherwise error is reported. Problem is that ep_config
returns size of buffer minus 4 on success. I think that size of buffer
should be returned instead, because there were no problems and
all data were processed.

b2bbb20b37 USB: pxa2xx_udc understands GPIO based VBUS sensing
This updates the PXA 25x UDC board-independent infrastructure for VBUS sensing
and the D+ pullup.  The original code evolved from rather bizarre support on
Intel's "Lubbock" reference hardware, so that on more sensible hardware it
doesn't work as well as it could/should.

The change is just to teach the UDC driver how to use built-in PXA GPIO pins
directly.  This reduces the amount of board-specfic object code needed, and
enables the use of a VBUS sensing IRQ on boards (like Gumstix) that have one.
With VBUS sensing, the UDC is unclocked until a host is actually connected.

ba52de123d [PATCH] inode-diet: Eliminate i_blksize from the inode structure
This eliminates the i_blksize field from struct inode.  Filesystems that want
to provide a per-inode st_blksize can do so by providing their own getattr
routine instead of using the generic_fillattr() function.

Note that some filesystems were providing pretty much random (and incorrect)
values for i_blksize.

8e18e2941c [PATCH] inode_diet: Replace inode.u.generic_ip with inode.i_private
The following patches reduce the size of the VFS inode structure by 28 bytes
on a UP x86.  (It would be more on an x86_64 system).  This is a 10% reduction
in the inode size on a UP kernel that is configured in a production mode
(i.e., with no spinlock or other debugging functions enabled; if you want to
save memory taken up by in-core inodes, the first thing you should do is
disable the debugging options; they are responsible for a huge amount of bloat
in the VFS inode structure).

This patch:

The filesystem or device-specific pointer in the inode is inside a union,
which is pretty pointless given that all 30+ users of this field have been
using the void pointer.  Get rid of the union and rename it to i_private, with
a comment to explain who is allowed to use the void pointer.  This is just a
cleanup, but it allows us to reuse the union 'u' for something something where
the union will actually be used.

789851cf00 usb gadget: g_ether spinlock recursion fix
The new spinlock debug code turned up a spinlock recursion bug in the
Ethernet gadget driver on a disconnect path; it would show up with any
UDC driver where the cancellation of active requests was synchronous,
rather than e.g. delayed until a controller's completion IRQ.

That recursion is fixed here by creating and using a new spinlock to
protect the relevant lists.

b4dbda1a22 USB: dummy-hcd: disable interrupts during req->complete
This patch (as756) fixes a bug in dummy-hcd found by the lockdep
checker.  In one of the code paths, the driver did not disable
interrupts before calling a request completion routine.

8b2e76687b USB: AT91 UDC updates, mostly power management
UDC updates for AT91 series processors:

 - Get ready for at91sam926x processors (ARMv5tej not ARMv4t)

 - Suspend/resume support now behaves properly

 - In "standby" mode, UDC can be a source of system wakeup events
   (host resume, device connect/disconnect, etc)

 - Fix IRQ storming issues, seemingly related to clock disabling
   changes that went in a while back

And minor cleanups, especially whitespace.

a353678d31 [PATCH] USB: gadget section fixups
Recent section changes broke gadget builds on some platforms.  This patch
is the best fix that's available until better section markings exist:

 - There's a lot of cleanup code that gets used in both init and exit paths;
   stop marking it as "__exit".

   (Best fix for this would be an "__init_or_exit" section marking, putting
   the cleanup in __init when __exit sections get discarded else in __exit.)

 - Stop marking the use-once probe routines as "__init" since references
   to those routines are not allowed from driver structures.  They're now
   marked "__devinit", which in practice is a net lose.

   (Best fix for this is likely to separate such use-once probe routines
   from the driver structure ... but in general, all busses that aren't
   hotpluggable will be forced to waste memory for all probe-only code.)

In general these broken section rules waste an average of two to four kBytes
per driver of code bloat ... because none of the relevant code can ever be
reused after module initialization.
