02cd2d3be1 pinctrl: renesas: rzg2l: Configure the interrupt type on resume
Commit dce0919c83 ("irqchip/renesas-rzg2l: Do not set TIEN and TINT
source at the same time") removed the setup of TINT from
rzg2l_irqc_irq_enable(). To address the spurious interrupt issue the
setup of TINT has been moved in rzg2l_tint_set_edge() through
rzg2l_disable_tint_and_set_tint_source(). With this, the interrupts are
not properly re-configured after a suspend-to-RAM cycle. To address
this issue and avoid spurious interrupts while resumming set the
interrupt type before enabling it.

5d10a157eb pinctrl: baytrail: Add pinconf group for uart3
GPIO_S0_SC57 / GPIO_S0_SC61 can be muxed to PCU_UART_TXD / PCU_UART_RXD,
add a pinconf group for this.

On Bay Trail board schematics using these pins as UART these are
called UART3_TXD / UART3_RXD, name the pinconf group "uart3_grp"
to be consistent with the schematics.

fed6d9a8e6 pinctrl: baytrail: Fix selecting gpio pinctrl state
For all the "score" pin-groups all the intel_pingroup-s to select
the non GPIO function are re-used for byt_score_gpio_groups[].

But this is incorrect since a pin-group includes the mode setting,
which for the non GPIO functions generally is 1, where as to select
the GPIO function mode must be set to 0.

So the GPIO function needs separate intel_pingroup-s with their own mode
value of 0.

Add a new PIN_GROUP_GPIO macro which adds a foo_gpio entry to each
pin-group defined this way and update byt_score_gpio_groups[] to point
to the new foo_gpio entries.

The "sus" usb_oc_grp usb_ulpi_grp and pcu_spi_grp pin-groups are special
because these have a non 0 mode value to select the GPIO functions and
these already have matching foo_gpio pin-groups, leave these are unchanged.

The pmu_clk "sus" groups added in commit 2f46d7f7e9 ("pinctrl: baytrail:
Add pinconf group + function for the pmu_clk") do need to use the new
PIN_GROUP_GPIO macro.

c5d3b64c56 pinctrl: mediatek: paris: Rework support for PIN_CONFIG_{INPUT,OUTPUT}_ENABLE
There is a misinterpretation of some of the PIN_CONFIG_* options in this
driver library. PIN_CONFIG_OUTPUT_ENABLE should refer to a buffer or
switch in the output direction of the electrical path. The MediaTek
hardware does not have such a thing. The driver incorrectly maps this
option to the GPIO function's direction.

Likewise, PIN_CONFIG_INPUT_ENABLE should refer to a buffer or switch in
the input direction. The hardware does have such a mechanism, and is
mapped to the IES bit. The driver however sets the direction in addition
to the IES bit, which is incorrect. On readback, the IES bit isn't even
considered.

Ironically, the driver does not support readback for PIN_CONFIG_OUTPUT,
while its readback of PIN_CONFIG_{INPUT,OUTPUT}_ENABLE is what it should
be doing for PIN_CONFIG_OUTPUT.

Rework support for these three options, so that PIN_CONFIG_OUTPUT_ENABLE
is completely removed, PIN_CONFIG_INPUT_ENABLE is only linked to the IES
bit, and PIN_CONFIG_OUTPUT is linked to the GPIO function's direction
and output level.

08f66a8edd pinctrl: mediatek: paris: Fix PIN_CONFIG_INPUT_SCHMITT_ENABLE readback
In the generic pin config library, readback of some options are handled
differently compared to the setting of those options: the argument value
is used to convey enable/disable of an option in the set path, but
success or -EINVAL is used to convey if an option is enabled or disabled
in the debugfs readback path.

PIN_CONFIG_INPUT_SCHMITT_ENABLE is one such option. Fix the readback of
the option in the mediatek-paris library, so that the debugfs dump is
not showing "input schmitt enabled" for pins that don't have it enabled.

c40845e319 kbuild: make -Woverride-init warnings more consistent
The -Woverride-init warn about code that may be intentional or not,
but the inintentional ones tend to be real bugs, so there is a bit of
disagreement on whether this warning option should be enabled by default
and we have multiple settings in scripts/Makefile.extrawarn as well as
individual subsystems.

Older versions of clang only supported -Wno-initializer-overrides with
the same meaning as gcc's -Woverride-init, though all supported versions
now work with both. Because of this difference, an earlier cleanup of
mine accidentally turned the clang warning off for W=1 builds and only
left it on for W=2, while it's still enabled for gcc with W=1.

There is also one driver that only turns the warning off for newer
versions of gcc but not other compilers, and some but not all the
Makefiles still use a cc-disable-warning conditional that is no
longer needed with supported compilers here.

Address all of the above by removing the special cases for clang
and always turning the warning off unconditionally where it got
in the way, using the syntax that is supported by both compilers.

aa43c15a79 pinctrl: renesas: rzg2l: Execute atomically the interrupt configuration
Lockdep detects a possible deadlock as listed below. This is because it
detects the IA55 interrupt controller .irq_eoi() API is called from
interrupt context while configuration-specific API (e.g., .irq_enable())
could be called from process context on resume path (by calling
rzg2l_gpio_irq_restore()). To avoid this, protect the call of

c2ddeb2961 genirq: Introduce IRQF_COND_ONESHOT and use it in pinctrl-amd
There is a problem when a driver requests a shared interrupt line to run a
threaded handler on it without IRQF_ONESHOT set if that flag has been set
already for the IRQ in question by somebody else. Namely, the request
fails which usually leads to a probe failure even though the driver might
have worked just fine with IRQF_ONESHOT, but it does not want to use it by
default. Currently, the only way to handle this is to try to request the
IRQ without IRQF_ONESHOT, but with IRQF_PROBE_SHARED set and if this fails,
try again with IRQF_ONESHOT set. However, this is a bit cumbersome and not
very clean.

When commit 7a36b901a6 ("ACPI: OSL: Use a threaded interrupt handler for
SCI") switched the ACPI subsystem over to using a threaded interrupt
handler for the SCI, it had to use IRQF_ONESHOT for it because that's
required due to the way the SCI handler works (it needs to walk all of the
enabled GPEs before the interrupt line can be unmasked). The SCI interrupt
line is not shared with other users very often due to the SCI handling
overhead, but on sone systems it is shared and when the other user of it
attempts to install a threaded handler, a flags mismatch related to
IRQF_ONESHOT may occur.

As it turned out, that happened to the pinctrl-amd driver and so commit
4451e8e841 ("pinctrl: amd: Add IRQF_ONESHOT to the interrupt request")
attempted to address the issue by adding IRQF_ONESHOT to the interrupt
flags in that driver, but this is now causing an IRQF_ONESHOT-related
mismatch to occur on another system which cannot boot as a result of it.

Clearly, pinctrl-amd can work with IRQF_ONESHOT if need be, but it should
not set that flag by default, so it needs a way to indicate that to the
interrupt subsystem.

To that end, introdcuce a new interrupt flag, IRQF_COND_ONESHOT, which will
only have effect when the IRQ line is shared and IRQF_ONESHOT has been set
for it already, in which case it will be promoted to the latter.

This is sufficient for drivers sharing the interrupt line with the SCI as
it is requested by the ACPI subsystem before any drivers are probed, so
they will always see IRQF_ONESHOT set for the interrupt in question.

Fixes: 4451e8e841 ("pinctrl: amd: Add IRQF_ONESHOT to the interrupt request")

No core changes this time around.

 New drivers:

 - New driver for Renesas R8A779H0 also known as R-Car V4M.

 - New driver for the Awinic AW9523/B I2C GPIO expander.
I found this living out-of-tree in OpenWrt as an upstream
attempt had stalled on the finishing line, so I picked it
   up and finished the job.

 Improvements:

 - The Nomadik pin control driver was for years re-used out of
tree for the ST STA chips, and now the IP was re-used in a
MIPS automotive SoC called MobilEyeq5, so it has been split
in pin control and GPIO drivers so the latter can be reused
by MobilEyeq5. (Along with a long list of cleanups.)

Replace dev_err() with dev_err_probe(), which not only drops the
priority of the message from error to debug, but also puts some text
into debugfs' devices_deferred file, for later reference.

576623d706 pinctrl: Add driver for Awinic AW9523/B I2C GPIO Expander
The Awinic AW9523(B) is a multi-function I2C gpio expander in a
TQFN-24L package, featuring PWM (max 37mA per pin, or total max
power 3.2Watts) for LED driving capability.

It has two ports with 8 pins per port (for a total of 16 pins),
configurable as either PWM with 1/256 stepping or GPIO input/output,
1.8V logic input; each GPIO can be configured as input or output
independently from each other.

This IC also has an internal interrupt controller, which is capable
of generating an interrupt for each GPIO, depending on the
configuration, and will raise an interrupt on the INTN pin to
advertise this to an external interrupt controller.

75d270fda6 gpio: nomadik: request dynamic ID allocation
Move away from statically allocated GPIO IDs. Switch to dynamic ID
allocation. Static IDs are deprecated because they cause issues when
multiple GPIO controllers are to be found on the same platform.

Add a bit of complexity to do pin number -> GPIO chip + offset.
Previously, bank number and offsets were retrieved using division and
remainder (bank size being constant 32). Now, to get the pin number
matching a bank base, we must know the sum of ngpios of previous banks.
This is done in find_nmk_gpio_from_pin() which also exposes the offset
inside the bank.

Also remove the assumption that bank sizes are constant. Instead of
using NMK_GPIO_PER_CHIP as bank size, use nmk_gpio_chips[i]->ngpio.

966942ae49 gpio: nomadik: extract GPIO platform driver from drivers/pinctrl/nomadik/
Previously, drivers/pinctrl/nomadik/pinctrl-nomadik.c registered two
platform drivers: pinctrl & GPIO. Move the GPIO aspect to the
drivers/gpio/ folder, as would be expected.

Both drivers are intertwined for a reason; pinctrl requires access to
GPIO registers for pinmuxing, pull-disable, disabling interrupts while
setting the muxing and wakeup control. Information sharing is done
through a shared array containing GPIO chips and a few helper
functions. That shared array is not touched from gpio-nomadik when
CONFIG_PINCTRL_NOMADIK is not defined.

Make no change to the code that moved into gpio-nomadik; there should be
no behavior change following. A few functions are shared and header
comments are added. Checkpatch warnings are addressed. NUM_BANKS is
renamed to NMK_MAX_BANKS.

It is supported to compile gpio-nomadik without pinctrl-nomadik. The
opposite is not true.

53cf6b72e0 gpio: nomadik: fix offset bug in nmk_pmx_set()
Previously, the statement looked like:

    slpm[x] &= ~BIT(g->grp.pins[i]);

Where:
 - slpm is a unsigned int pointer;
 - g->grp.pins[i] is a pin number. It can grow to more than 32.

The expected shift amount is a pin bank offset.

This bug does not occur on every group or pin: the altsetting must be
NMK_GPIO_ALT_C and the pin must be 32 or above. It might have occured.
For example, in pinctrl-nomadik-db8500.c, pin group i2c3_c_2 has the
right altsetting and pins 229 and 230.

254203f9a9 pinctrl: renesas: rzg2l: Add suspend/resume support
pinctrl-rzg2l driver is used on RZ/G3S which support deep sleep states
where power to most of the SoC components is turned off.

For this add suspend/resume support. This involves saving and restoring
configured registers along with disabling clock in case there is no pin
configured as wakeup sources.

To save/restore registers 2 caches were allocated: one for GPIO pins and
one for dedicated pins.

On suspend path the pin controller registers are saved and if none of the
pins are configured as wakeup sources the pinctrl clock is disabled.
Otherwise it remains on.

On resume path the configuration is done as follows:
1/ setup PFCs by writing to registers on pin based accesses
2/ setup GPIOs by writing to registers on port based accesses and
following configuration steps specified in hardware manual
3/ setup dedicated pins by writing to registers on port based accesses
4/ setup interrupts.

Because interrupt signals are routed to IA55 interrupt controller and
IA55 interrupt controller resumes before pin controller, patch restores
also the configured interrupts just after pin settings are restored to
avoid invalid interrupts while resuming.
