d038e3dcff sound fixes for 4.11-rc4
This contains the collection of small fixes for 4.11 that were pending

90db10434b KVM: kvm_io_bus_unregister_dev() should never fail
No caller currently checks the return value of
kvm_io_bus_unregister_dev(). This is evil, as all callers silently go on
freeing their device. A stale reference will remain in the io_bus,
getting at least used again, when the iobus gets teared down on
kvm_destroy_vm() - leading to use after free errors.

There is nothing the callers could do, except retrying over and over
again.

So let's simply remove the bus altogether, print an error and make
sure no one can access this broken bus again (returning -ENOMEM on any
attempt to access it).

  - If the logical processor supports VPIDs (IA32_VMX_PROCBASED_CTLS2[37]=1) but does
    not support the INVVPID instruction (IA32_VMX_EPT_VPID_CAP[32]=0).

So we should check both VPID enable bit in vmx exec control and INVVPID support bit
in vmx capability MSRs to enable VPID. This patch adds the guarantee to not enable
VPID if either INVVPID or single-context/all-context invalidation is not exposed in
vmx capability MSRs.

We should hide and forbid VPID in L1 if it is disabled on L0. However, nested VPID
enable bit is set unconditionally during setup nested vmx exec controls though VPID
is not exposed through nested VMX capablity. This patch fixes it by don't set nested
VPID enable bit if it is disabled on L0.

24dccf83a1 KVM: x86: correct async page present tracepoint
After async pf setup successfully, there is a broadcast wakeup w/ special
token 0xffffffff which tells vCPU that it should wake up all processes
waiting for APFs though there is no real process waiting at the moment.

The async page present tracepoint print prematurely and fails to catch the
special token setup. This patch fixes it by moving the async page present
tracepoint after the special token setup.

Quoting from the Intel SDM, volume 3, section 28.3.3.4: Guidelines for
Use of the INVEPT Instruction:

If EPT was in use on a logical processor at one time with EPTP X, it
is recommended that software use the INVEPT instruction with the
"single-context" INVEPT type and with EPTP X in the INVEPT descriptor
before a VM entry on the same logical processor that enables EPT with
EPTP X and either (a) the "virtualize APIC accesses" VM-execution
control was changed from 0 to 1; or (b) the value of the APIC-access
address was changed.

In the nested case, the burden falls on L1, unless L0 enables EPT in
vmcs02 when L1 doesn't enable EPT in vmcs12.

1914f0cd20 xen/acpi: upload PM state from init-domain to Xen
This was broken in commit cd979883b9 ("xen/acpi-processor:
fix enabling interrupts on syscore_resume"). do_suspend (from
xen/manage.c) and thus xen_resume_notifier never get called on
the initial-domain at resume (it is if running as guest.)

The rationale for the breaking change was that upload_pm_data()
potentially does blocking work in syscore_resume(). This patch
addresses the original issue by scheduling upload_pm_data() to
execute in workqueue context.

12ffed96d4 drm/fb-helper: Allow var->x/yres(_virtual) < fb->width/height again
Otherwise this can also prevent modesets e.g. for switching VTs, when
multiple monitors with different native resolutions are connected.

The depths must match though, so keep the != test for that.

Also update the DRM_DEBUG output to be slightly more accurate, this
doesn't only affect requests from userspace.

When using GPIO as IRQ source, the GPIO must be configured
in INPUT. Callbacks dedicated for this was missing in
pinctrl-st driver.

The spin lock is not necessary here. Anything that is racing with changes
to the I/O state is already broken. The mmc core already provides
synchronization via "claiming" the host.

Although the spin lock probably should be removed from the code paths that
lead to this point, such a patch would touch too much code to be suitable
for stable trees. Consequently, for this patch, just drop the spin lock
while waiting.

f43feef4e6 amd-xgbe: Fix the ECC-related bit position definitions
The ECC bit positions that describe whether the ECC interrupt is for
Tx, Rx or descriptor memory and whether the it is a single correctable
or double detected error were defined in incorrectly (reversed order).
Fix the bit position definitions for these settings so that the proper
ECC handling is performed.

As you can see RAX value is already poisoned showing that gendisk we got
is already freed. The problem is that get_gendisk() looks up device
number in ext_devt_idr and then does get_disk() which does kobject_get()
on the disks kobject. However the disk gets removed from ext_devt_idr
only in disk_release() (through blk_free_devt()) at which moment it has
already 0 refcount and is already on its way to be freed. Indeed we've
got a warning from kobject_get() about 0 refcount shortly before the
oops.

We fix the problem by using kobject_get_unless_zero() in get_disk() so
that get_disk() cannot get reference on a disk that is already being
freed.

f759741d9d block: Fix oops in locked_inode_to_wb_and_lock_list()
When block device is closed, we call inode_detach_wb() in __blkdev_put()
which sets inode->i_wb to NULL. That is contrary to expectations that
inode->i_wb stays valid once set during the whole inode's lifetime and
leads to oops in wb_get() in locked_inode_to_wb_and_lock_list() because
inode_to_wb() returned NULL.

The reason why we called inode_detach_wb() is not valid anymore though.
BDI is guaranteed to stay along until we call bdi_put() from
bdev_evict_inode() so we can postpone calling inode_detach_wb() to that
moment.

Also add a warning to catch if someone uses inode_detach_wb() in a
dangerous way.

5318ce7d46 bdi: Shutdown writeback on all cgwbs in cgwb_bdi_destroy()
Currently we waited for all cgwbs to get freed in cgwb_bdi_destroy()
which also means that writeback has been shutdown on them. Since this
wait is going away, directly shutdown writeback on cgwbs from
cgwb_bdi_destroy() to avoid live writeback structures after
bdi_unregister() has finished. To make that safe with concurrent
shutdown from cgwb_release_workfn(), we also have to make sure
wb_shutdown() returns only after the bdi_writeback structure is really
shutdown.

e8cb72b322 bdi: Unify bdi->wb_list handling for root wb_writeback
Currently root wb_writeback structure is added to bdi->wb_list in
bdi_init() and never removed. That is different from all other
wb_writeback structures which get added to the list when created and
removed from it before wb_shutdown().

So move list addition of root bdi_writeback to bdi_register() and list
removal of all wb_writeback structures to wb_shutdown(). That way a
wb_writeback structure is on bdi->wb_list if and only if it can handle
writeback and it will make it easier for us to handle shutdown of all
wb_writeback structures in bdi_unregister().

b7d680d7bf bdi: Mark congested->bdi as internal
congested->bdi pointer is used only to be able to remove congested
structure from bdi->cgwb_congested_tree on structure release. Moreover
the pointer can become NULL when we unregister the bdi. Rename the field
to __bdi and add a comment to make it more explicit this is internal
stuff of memcg writeback code and people should not use the field as
such use will be likely race prone.

We do not bother with converting congested->bdi to a proper refcounted
reference. It will be slightly ugly to special-case bdi->wb.congested to
avoid effectively a cyclic reference of bdi to itself and the reference
gets cleared from bdi_unregister() making it impossible to reference
a freed bdi.

03e2627988 block: Fix bdi assignment to bdev inode when racing with disk delete
When disk->fops->open() in __blkdev_get() returns -ERESTARTSYS, we
restart the process of opening the block device. However we forget to
switch bdev->bd_bdi back to noop_backing_dev_info and as a result bdev
inode will be pointing to a stale bdi. Fix the problem by setting
bdev->bd_bdi later when __blkdev_get() is already guaranteed to succeed.

15bb7745e9 tcp: initialize icsk_ack.lrcvtime at session start time
icsk_ack.lrcvtime has a 0 value at socket creation time.

tcpi_last_data_recv can have bogus value if no payload is ever received.

This patch initializes icsk_ack.lrcvtime for active sessions
in tcp_finish_connect(), and for passive sessions in
tcp_create_openreq_child()

1d2a6a5e4b genetlink: fix counting regression on ctrl_dumpfamily()
Commit 2ae0f17df1 ("genetlink: use idr to track families") replaced

	if (++n < fams_to_skip)
		continue;
into:

	if (n++ < fams_to_skip)
		continue;

This subtle change cause that on retry ctrl_dumpfamily() call we omit
one family that failed to do ctrl_fill_info() on previous call, because
cb->args[0] = n number counts also family that failed to do
ctrl_fill_info().

Patch fixes the problem and avoid confusion in the future just decrease
n counter when ctrl_fill_info() fail.

User visible problem caused by this bug is failure to get access to
some genetlink family i.e. nl80211. However problem is reproducible
only if number of registered genetlink families is big enough to
cause second call of ctrl_dumpfamily().
