6238f92132 vfio: ccw: set ccw->cda to NULL defensively
Let's avoid free on ccw->cda that points to a guest address
or an already freed memory area by setting it to NULL if memory
allocation didn't happen or failed.

5c1cfb1c39 vfio: ccw: refactor and improve pfn_array_alloc_pin()
This refactors pfn_array_alloc_pin() and also improves it by adding
defensive code in error handling so that calling pfn_array_unpin_free()
after error return won't lead to problem. This mainly does:
1. Merge pfn_array_pin() into pfn_array_alloc_pin(), since there is no
   other user of pfn_array_pin(). As a result, also remove kernel-doc
   for pfn_array_pin() and add/update kernel-doc for pfn_array_alloc_pin()
   and struct pfn_array.
2. For a vfio_pin_pages() failure, set pa->pa_nr to zero to indicate
   zero pages were pinned.
3. Set pa->pa_iova_pfn to NULL right after it was freed.

fb9e7880af vfio: ccw: push down unsupported IDA check
There is at least one relevant guest OS that doesn't set the IDA flags in
the ORB as we would like them, but never uses any IDA. So instead of
saying -EOPNOTSUPP when observing an ORB, such that a channel program
specified by it could be a not supported one, let us say -EOPNOTSUPP only
if the channel program is a not supported one.

Of course, the real solution would be doing proper translation for all
IDA. This is possible, but given the current code not straight forward.

3376d98021 s390/archrandom: Rework arch random implementation.
The arch_get_random_seed_long() invocation done by the random device
driver is done in interrupt context and may be invoked very very
frequently. The existing s390 arch_get_random_seed*() implementation
uses the PRNO(TRNG) instruction which produces excellent high quality
entropy but is relatively slow and thus expensive.

This fix reworks the arch_get_random_seed* implementation. It
introduces a buffer concept to decouple the delivery of random data
via arch_get_random_seed*() from the generation of new random
bytes. The buffer of random data is filled asynchronously by a
workqueue thread.
If there are enough bytes in the buffer the s390_arch_random_generate()
just delivers these bytes. Otherwise false is returned until the worker
thread refills the buffer.
The worker fills the rng buffer by pulling fresh entropy from the
high quality (but slow) true hardware random generator. This entropy
is then spread over the buffer with an pseudo random generator.
As the arch_get_random_seed_long() fetches 8 bytes and the calling
function add_interrupt_randomness() counts this as 1 bit entropy the
distribution needs to make sure there is in fact 1 bit entropy
contained in 8 bytes of the buffer. The current values pull 32 byte
entropy and scatter this into a 2048 byte buffer. So 8 byte in the
buffer will contain 1 bit of entropy.
The worker thread is rescheduled based on the charge level of the
buffer but at least with 500 ms delay to avoid too much cpu consumption.
So the max. amount of rng data delivered via arch_get_random_seed is
limited to 4Kb per second.

866f4c8e0e s390/net: add pnetid support
s390 hardware supports the definition of a so-call Physical NETwork
IDentifier (short PNETID) per network device port. These PNETIDS
can be used to identify network devices that are attached to the same
physical network (broadcast domain).

This patch provides the interface to extract the PNETID of a port of
a device attached to the ccw-bus or pci-bus.

Parts of this patch are based on an initial implementation by
Thomas Richter.

1bcdb5354a s390/dasd: simplify locking in dasd_times_out
Provide __dasd_cancel_req that is called with the ccw device lock
held to simplify the locking in dasd_times_out. Also this removes
the following sparse warning:
context imbalance in 'dasd_times_out' - different lock contexts for basic block

Note: with this change dasd_schedule_device_bh is now called (via
dasd_cancel_req) with the ccw device lock held. But is is already
the case for other codepaths.

1155a26a25 s390/early: get rid of memmove_early
memmove_early was introduced with commit d543a106f9 ("s390: fix
initrd corruptions with gcov/kcov instrumented kernels"). The reason
for writing this extra memmove implementation was to be able to move
memory from an unknown location (aka SCSI IPL parameter block) to a
known location.

This had to done early before it was known if the SCSI IPL parameter
block pointer was valid or not, and therefore the memmove
implementation was supposed to be able to handle program checks.

The code has been changed and especially with commit d08091ac96
("s390/ipl: rely on diag308 store to get ipl info") and
commit b4623d4e5b ("s390: provide memmove implementation") there
is no need to have a memmove version that can handle program checks,
and in addition it cannot be gcov/kcov instrumented anymore.

77715b7ddb s390/cpum_sf: Add data entry sizes to sampling trailer entry
The CPU Measurement sampling facility creates a trailer entry for each
Sample-Data-Block of stored samples. The trailer entry contains the sizes
(in bytes) of the stored sampling types:
 - basic-sampling data entry size
 - diagnostic-sampling data entry size
Both sizes are 2 bytes long.

This patch changes the trailer entry definition to reflect this.

3c0a83b14e perf: fix invalid bit in diagnostic entry
The s390 CPU measurement facility sampling mode supports basic entries
and diagnostic entries. Each entry has a valid bit to indicate the
status of the entry as valid or invalid.

This bit is bit 31 in the diagnostic entry, but the bit mask definition
refers to bit 30.

Fix this by making the reserved field one bit larger.

4bbaf2584b s390/cpum_sf: ensure sample frequency of perf event attributes is non-zero
Correct a trinity finding for the perf_event_open() system call with
a perf event attribute structure that uses a frequency but has the
sampling frequency set to zero.  This causes a FP divide exception during
the sample rate initialization for the hardware sampling facility.

The BPF JIT uses a 'b <disp>(%r<x>)' instruction in the definition
of the sk_load_word and sk_load_half functions.

Add support for branch-on-condition instructions contained in the

4253b0e062 s390: move spectre sysfs attribute code
The nospec-branch.c file is compiled without the gcc options to
generate expoline thunks. The return branch of the sysfs show
functions cpu_show_spectre_v1 and cpu_show_spectre_v2 is an indirect
branch as well. These need to be compiled with expolines.

Move the sysfs functions for spectre reporting to a separate file
and loose an '.' for one of the messages.

23a4d7fd34 s390/ftrace: use expoline for indirect branches
The return from the ftrace_stub, _mcount, ftrace_caller and
return_to_handler functions is done with "br %r14" and "br %r1".
These are indirect branches as well and need to use execute
trampolines for CONFIG_EXPOLINE=y.

The ftrace_caller function is a special case as it returns to the
start of a function and may only use %r0 and %r1. For a pre z10
machine the standard execute trampoline uses a LARL + EX to do
this, but this requires *two* registers in the range %r1..%r15.
To get around this the 'br %r1' located in the lowcore is used,
then the EX instruction does not need an address register.
But the lowcore trick may only be used for pre z14 machines,
with noexec=on the mapping for the first page may not contain
instructions. The solution for that is an ALTERNATIVE in the
expoline THUNK generated by 'GEN_BR_THUNK %r1' to switch to
EXRL, this relies on the fact that a machine that supports
noexec=on has EXRL as well.

d66a735571 vfio: ccw: fix cleanup if cp_prefetch fails
If the translation of a channel program fails, we may end up attempting
to clean up (free, unpin) stuff that never got translated (and allocated,
pinned) in the first place.

By adjusting the lengths of the chains accordingly (so the element that
failed, and all subsequent elements are excluded) cleanup activities
based on false assumptions can be avoided.

Let's make sure cp_free works properly after cp_prefetch returns with an
error by setting ch_len of a ccw chain to the number of the translated
CCWs on that chain.

5c60300d68 virtio_console: reset on out of memory
When out of memory and we can't add ctrl vq buffers,
probe fails. Unfortunately the error handling is
out of spec: it calls del_vqs without bothering
to reset the device first.

To fix, call the full cleanup function in this case.
