The 'perf mem' and 'perf c2c' tools are wrappers around 'perf record'
with mem load/ store events. IBS tagged load/store sample provides most
of the information needed for these tools. Wire in the "ibs_op//" event
as mem-ldst event for AMD.
There are some limitations though: Only load/store micro-ops provide
mem/c2c information. Whereas, IBS does not have a way to choose a
particular type of micro-op to tag. This results in many non-LS
micro-ops being tagged which appear as N/A in the perf report. IBS,
being an uncore pmu from kernel point of view[1], does not support per
process monitoring. Thus, perf mem/c2c on AMD are currently supported in
per-cpu mode only.
Example:
$ sudo perf mem record -- -c 10000
^C[ perf record: Woken up 227 times to write data ]
[ perf record: Captured and wrote 58.760 MB perf.data (836978 samples) ]
$ sudo perf mem report -F mem,sample,snoop
Samples: 836K of event 'ibs_op//', Event count (approx.): 8418762

PowerPC hardware does not have a builtin latency filter (--ldlat) for
the "mem-load" event and perf_mem_events by default includes
"/ldlat=30/" which is causing a failure on PowerPC. Refactor the code to
support "perf mem/c2c" on PowerPC.
This patch depends on kernel side changes done my Madhavan:

For perf mem report / perf mem record, pass all unknown options
through to the underlying report/record commands. This makes things
like
perf mem record -a sleep 1
work. Matches how c2c and other tools work.

This patch modifies perf mem to default to sampling loads and stores
simultaneously. It could only do one or the other before yet there was
no hardware restriction preventing simultaneous collection. With this
patch, one run is sufficient to collect both.
It is still possible to sample only loads or stores by using the
-t option:
$ perf mem -t load rec
$ perf mem -t load rep
Or
$ perf mem -t store rec
$ perf mem -t store rep
The perf report TUI will show one event at a time. The store output will
contain a Weight column which will be empty.
In V2, we updated the man pages to reflect the change and also simplify
the initialization of the argv vector passed to the cmd_*() functions as
per LKML feedback.
In V3, we fixed typos in the changelog.

This new command is a wrapper on top of perf record and perf report to
make it easier to configure for memory access profiling.
To record loads:
$ perf mem -t load rec .....
To record stores:
$ perf mem -t store rec .....
To get the report:
$ perf mem -t load rep
