bc0e8d91fe media: v4l: subdev: Switch to stream-aware state functions
Switch all drivers accessing sub-device state to use the stream-aware
functions. We will soon remove the old ones.

This patch has been generated using the following Coccinelle script:

Additionally drivers/media/i2c/s5k5baf.c and
drivers/media/platform/samsung/s3c-camif/camif-capture.c have been
manually changed as Coccinelle didn't. Further local variables have been
removed as they became unused as a result of the other changes.

Also Coccinelle introduced indentation by space in files
drivers/media/i2c/st-mipid02.c and
drivers/media/platform/rockchip/rkisp1/rkisp1-isp.c. This has been also
corrected.

The diff from Coccinelle-generated changes are:

ed5c2f5fd1 i2c: Make remove callback return void
The value returned by an i2c driver's remove function is mostly ignored.
(Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the
error is ignored.)

So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This
way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to
the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly.
There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to
return 0 before.

0d346d2a6f media: v4l2-subdev: add subdev-wide state struct
We have 'struct v4l2_subdev_pad_config' which contains configuration for
a single pad used for the TRY functionality, and an array of those
structs is passed to various v4l2_subdev_pad_ops.

I was working on subdev internal routing between pads, and realized that
there's no way to add TRY functionality for routes, which is not pad
specific configuration. Adding a separate struct for try-route config
wouldn't work either, as e.g. set-fmt needs to know the try-route
configuration to propagate the settings.

This patch adds a new struct, 'struct v4l2_subdev_state' (which at the
moment only contains the v4l2_subdev_pad_config array) and the new
struct is used in most of the places where v4l2_subdev_pad_config was
used. All v4l2_subdev_pad_ops functions taking v4l2_subdev_pad_config
are changed to instead take v4l2_subdev_state.

The changes to drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-subdev.c and
include/media/v4l2-subdev.h were written by hand, and all the driver
changes were done with the semantic patch below. The spatch needs to be
applied to a select list of directories. I used the following shell
commands to apply the spatch:

dirs="drivers/media/i2c drivers/media/platform drivers/media/usb drivers/media/test-drivers/vimc drivers/media/pci drivers/staging/media"
for dir in $dirs; do spatch -j8 --dir --include-headers --no-show-diff --in-place --sp-file v4l2-subdev-state.cocci $dir; done

Note that Coccinelle chokes on a few drivers (gcc extensions?). With
minor changes we can make Coccinelle run fine, and these changes can be
reverted after spatch. The diff for these changes is:

Commit dd8088d5a8 ("PM: runtime: Add pm_runtime_resume_and_get to deal with usage counter")
added pm_runtime_resume_and_get() in order to automatically handle
dev->power.usage_count decrement on errors.

Use the new API, in order to cleanup the error check logic.

8666b3197b media: i2c: ov5695: simplify getting state container
The pointer to 'struct v4l2_subdev' is stored in drvdata via
v4l2_i2c_subdev_init() so there is no point of a dance like:

    struct i2c_client *client = to_i2c_client(struct device *dev)
    struct v4l2_subdev *sd = i2c_get_clientdata(client);

This allows to remove local variable 'client' and few pointer
dereferences.

f1a64f5666 media: i2c: ov5695: Fix power on and off sequences
From the measured hardware signal, OV5695 reset pin goes high for a
short period of time during boot-up. From the sensor specification, the
reset pin is active low and the DT binding defines the pin as active
low, which means that the values set by the driver are inverted and thus
the value requested in probe ends up high.

Fix it by changing probe to request the reset GPIO initialized to high,
which makes the initial state of the physical signal low.

In addition, DOVDD rising must occur before DVDD rising from spec., but
regulator_bulk_enable() API enables all the regulators asynchronously.
Use an explicit loops of regulator_enable() instead.

For power off sequence, it is required that DVDD falls first. Given the
bulk API does not give any guarantee about the order of regulators,
change the driver to use regulator_disable() instead.

The sensor also requires a delay between reset high and first I2C
transaction, which was assumed to be 8192 XVCLK cycles, but 1ms is
recommended by the vendor. Fix this as well.

2dbcb6fb96 media: media/i2c: don't return ENOTTY if SUBDEV_API is not set
If CONFIG_VIDEO_V4L2_SUBDEV_API is not set, then it is still possible
to call set_fmt for V4L2_SUBDEV_FORMAT_TRY, the result is just not
stored. So return 0 instead of -ENOTTY.

Calling get_fmt with V4L2_SUBDEV_FORMAT_TRY should return -EINVAL
instead of -ENOTTY, after all the get_fmt functionality is still
present, just not supported for TRY.

4d471563d8 media: i2c: Fix pm_runtime_get_if_in_use() usage in sensor drivers
pm_runtime_get_if_in_use() returns -EINVAL if runtime PM is disabled. This
should not be considered an error. Generally the driver has enabled
runtime PM already so getting this error due to runtime PM being disabled
will not happen.

Instead of checking for lesser or equal to zero, check for zero only.
Address this for drivers where this pattern exists.

This patch has been produced using the following command:
