3e87933a68 mfd: pm8921: Remove pm8xxx API now that sub-devices use regmap
The pm8xxx read/write wrappers are no longer necessary now that
all the sub-device drivers are using the regmap API. Remove it.

c4f725b52c mfd: max14577: Fix IRQ handling after resume if this is not a wakeup source
During suspend the IRQ should be disabled even if this is not a wakeup
source. This is a proper way of fixing the IRQ handling issue during
resume (IRQ handler fails because I2C bus did not resume yet).

When device is suspended and max14577 interrupt is signaled the irq chip
will try to handle it regardless of wakeup source. Device could be woken
up by different IRQ but still the IRQ handler will try to read the
registers over I2C bus and fail because I2C bus won't be ready yet:

9549b5ff00 mfd: sec-core: Remove duplicated device type from sec_pmic_dev
The device type was stored in sec_pmic_dev state container twice:
 - unsigned long type (initialized from of_device_id or i2c_device_id)
 - int device_type (initialized as above or from board files when there
   is no DTS)

The 'type' field was never used outside of probe so it can be safely
removed.

Change also the device_type in sec_pmic_dev and sec_platform_data to
unsigned long to avoid any casts.

68bab8662f mfd: twl6040: Optional clk32k clock handling
In certain boards the source for the clk32k clock can be gated. In these
boards the clk32k clock can be provided to the driver and it is going to be

If the clk32k clock is not provided the driver will assume that it is always

11e38e11af mfd: twl6040: Select i2c fast mode as default with regmap patch
All boards using twl6040 configures the i2c bus to 400KHz. While twl6040's
defaults to normal mode (100KHz). So far twl6040 has no problem with i2c
communication in this configuration it is safer to select fast i2c mode.

02d02728ea mfd: twl6040: Clear the interrupt ID register before requesting IRQ
If for some reason the boot loader enabled the audpwron GPIO we will have
pending IRQs to be handled. This seams to break twl6040 for some reason
leading to non working i2c communication (i2c timeouts). Clearing the INTID
register after we requested the audpwron GPIO (and set it to low) will
ensure that the chip will operate normally in this case as well.

The supply aliases for the MFD devices were being added using devres but
the device hasn't been added at this point and as such we can't use

e349c910e2 mfd/rtc: s5m: Do not allocate RTC I2C dummy and regmap for unsupported chipsets
The rtc-s5m driver does not support all of S2M and S5M chipsets
supported by main MFD sec-core driver. For such chipsets unsupported by
rtc-s5m, the MFD sec-core driver initialized regmap with default config.
This config in such cases wouldn't work at all.

The main MFD sec-core driver shouldn't initialize regmap for child
drivers which is not used by them and even not valid.

Move the allocation of RTC I2C dummy device and initialization of RTC
regmap from main MFD sec-core driver to the rtc-s5m driver. The rtc-s5m
driver will use proper regmap config for supported devices.

commit <mmc: rtsx: add support for pre_req and post_req> did use

concurrency, so we can't use tasklet here, the patch need to be

I noticed a regression where the omap sys_clkreq signal will never

initialized. Looking at the the SmartReflex bit enable code in
omap_twl.c, we need to always set it.

So let's fix the issue by always enabling the twl4030 SmartReflex
bit in the drivers/mfd/twl-core.c probe, and drop the related
code in omap_twl.c.

Note that we still have some twl4030 tinkering left in omap_twl.c
for the twl6030 case, but that's a different patch.

4706a5253b extcon: max14577: Add support for MAX77836
Add support for MAX77836 chipset to the max14577 extcon driver. The
MAX77836 MUIC has additional interrupts (VIDRM, ADC1K) so IRQ handling
is split up into two functions: max14577_parse_irq() and
max77836_parse_irq().

aee2a57c74 mfd: max77836: Add MAX77836 support to max14577 driver
Add Maxim 77836 support to max14577 driver. The chipsets have same MUIC
component so the extcon, charger and regulators are almost the same. The
MAX77836 however has also PMIC and Fuel Gauge.

The MAX77836 uses three I2C slave addresses and has additional interrupts
(related to PMIC and Fuel Gauge). It has also Interrupt Source register,
just like MAX77686 and MAX77693.

The MAX77836 PMIC's TOPSYS and INTSRC interrupts are reported in the
PMIC block. The PMIC block has different I2C slave address and uses own
regmap so another regmap_irq_chip is needed.

Since we have two regmap_irq_chip, use shared interrupts on MAX77836.

This patch adds additional defines and functions to the max14577 MFD core
driver so the driver will handle both chipsets. Also this patch replaces
"0x1 << N" with BIT(N) in defines for register masks.

f83ccb9358 ARM: SoC: device tree changes
A large part of the arm-soc patches are nowadays DT changes, adding support
for new SoCs, boards and devices without changing kernel source. The plan
is still to move the devicetree files out of the kernel tree and reduce
the amount of churn going on here, but we keep finding reasons to delay
 doing that.

Changes are really all over the place, with little sticking out particularly.
We have contributions from a total of 116 people in this branch.

Unfortunately, the size of this branch also causes a significant number
of conflicts at the moment, typically when subsystem maintainers merge
patches that change the driver at the same time as the dts files. In
most cases this could be avoided because the dts changes are supposed
to be compatible in both ways, and we are asking everyone to send ARM
dts changes through our tree only.

3786075b5e regulator: Updates for v3.15
This release has lots and lots of small cleanups and fixes in the
regulator subsystem, mainly cleaning up some bad patterns that got
duplicated in DT code, but otherwise very little of note outside
of the scope of the relevant drivers:

  - Support for configuration of the initial state for gpio regulators
    with multi-voltage support.
  - Support for calling regulator_set_voltage() on fixed regulators.
  - New drivers for Broadcom BCM590xx, Freescale pfuze200, Samsung S2MPA01 &
S2MPS11/4, some PWM controlled regulators found on some ST boards and
    TI TPS65218.

Pull regulator updates from Mark Brown:
"This release has lots and lots of small cleanups and fixes in the
regulator subsystem, mainly cleaning up some bad patterns that got
duplicated in DT code, but otherwise very little of note outside of
the scope of the relevant drivers:

   - Support for configuration of the initial state for gpio regulators
     with multi-voltage support.
   - Support for calling regulator_set_voltage() on fixed regulators.
   - New drivers for Broadcom BCM590xx, Freescale pfuze200, Samsung
S2MPA01 & S2MPS11/4, some PWM controlled regulators found on some
     ST boards and TI TPS65218"

The DSPs will often control there own clock speeds whilst running as
such we should mark the registers controlling this as volatile.

204747c970 mfd: kempld-core: Fix potential hang-up during boot
On PXT and COMe-cPC2 boards it is observed that the hardware
mutex is acquired but not being released during initialization.
This can result in a hang-up during boot if the driver is built
into the kernel.

Releasing the mutex twice if it was acquired fixes the problem.
Subsequent request/release cycles work as expected, so the fix is
only needed during initialization.

5a78401623 mfd: sec-core: Fix uninitialized 'regmap_rtc' on S2MPA01
Initialize the 'regmap_rtc' on S2MPA01 to some sane value. Sane at least
for S5M87X chipsets, not S2MPS/S2MPA but it won't be used because
rtc-s5m driver does not support S2MPA01.

This fixes following error:
drivers/mfd/sec-core.c:342:45: warning: ‘regmap_rtc’ may be used uninitialized in this function [-Wuninitialized]
