d950fd992e media: rcar-vin: Fix lockdep warning at stream on
Changes to v4l2-fwnode in commit [1] triggered a lockdep warning in
rcar-vin. The first attempt to solve this warning in the rcar-vin driver
was incomplete and only pushed the warning to happen at stream on time
instead of at probe time.

This change reverts the incomplete fix and properly fixes the warning by
removing the need to hold the rcar-vin specific group lock when calling
v4l2_async_notifier_parse_fwnode_endpoints_by_port(). And instead takes
it in the callback where it's really needed.

c5ff0edb8e media: rcar-vin: Allow independent VIN link enablement
There is a block of code in rvin_group_link_notify() that prevents
enabling a link to a VIN node if any entity in the media graph is
in use. This prevents enabling a VIN link even if there is an in-use
entity somewhere in the graph that is independent of the link's
pipeline.

For example, the code block will prevent enabling a link from
the first rcar-csi2 receiver to a VIN node even if there is an
enabled link somewhere far upstream on the second independent
rcar-csi2 receiver pipeline.

If this code block is meant to prevent modifying a link if any entity
in the graph is actively involved in streaming (because modifying
the CHSEL register fields can disrupt any/all running streams), then
the entities stream counts should be checked rather than the use counts.

(There is already such a check in __media_entity_setup_link() that verifies
the stream_count of the link's source and sink entities are both zero,
but that is insufficient, since there should be no running streams in
the entire graph).

Modify the code block to check the entity stream_count instead of the
use_count (and elaborate on the comment). VIN node links can now be
enabled even if there are other independent in-use entities that are
not streaming.

Pull new experimental media request API from Mauro Carvalho Chehab:
 "A new media request API

This API is needed to support device drivers that can dynamically
change their parameters for each new frame. The latest versions of
Google camera and codec HAL depends on such feature.

At this stage, it supports only stateless codecs.

It has been discussed for a long time (at least over the last 3-4
years), and we finally reached to something that seem to work.

This series contain both the API and core changes required to support
it and a new m2m decoder driver (cedrus).

As the current API is still experimental, the only real driver using
it (cedrus) was added at staging[1]. We intend to keep it there for a
while, in order to test the API. Only when we're sure that this API
works for other cases (like encoders), we'll move this driver out of
staging and set the API into a stone.

[1] We added support for the vivid virtual driver (used only for
testing) to it too, as it makes easier to test the API for the ones
that don't have the cedrus hardware"

d079f94c90 media: platform: Switch to v4l2_async_notifier_add_subdev
Switch all media platform drivers to call v4l2_async_notifier_add_subdev()
to add asd's to a notifier, in place of referencing the notifier->subdevs[]
array. These drivers also must now call v4l2_async_notifier_init() before
adding asd's to their notifiers.

There may still be cases where a platform driver maintains a list of
asd's that is a duplicate of the notifier asd_list, in which case its
possible the platform driver list can be removed, and can reference the
notifier asd_list instead. One example of where a duplicate list has
been removed in this patch is xilinx-vipp.c. If there are such cases
remaining, those drivers should be optimized to remove the duplicate
platform driver asd lists.

None of the changes to the platform drivers in this patch have been
tested. Verify that the async subdevices needed by the platform are
bound at load time, and that the driver unloads and reloads correctly
with no memory leaking of asd objects.

eae2aed1ea media: v4l2-fwnode: Switch to v4l2_async_notifier_add_subdev
The fwnode endpoint and reference parsing functions in v4l2-fwnode.c
are modified to make use of v4l2_async_notifier_add_subdev().
As a result the notifier->subdevs array is no longer allocated or
re-allocated, and by extension the max_subdevs value is also no
longer needed.

Callers of the fwnode endpoint and reference parsing functions must now
first initialize the notifier with a call to v4l2_async_notifier_init().
This includes the function v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor_common(),
and the intel-ipu3, omap3isp, and rcar-vin drivers.

Since the notifier->subdevs array is no longer allocated in the
fwnode endpoint and reference parsing functions, the callers of
those functions must never reference that array, since it is now
NULL. Of the drivers that make use of the fwnode/ref parsing,
only the intel-ipu3 driver references the ->subdevs[] array,
(in the notifier completion callback), so that driver has been
modified to iterate through the notifier->asd_list instead.

Media bus configuration flags and media bus type were so far a property
of each VIN instance, as the subdevice they were connected to was
immutable during the whole system life time.

With the forth-coming introduction of parallel input devices support,
a VIN instance can have the subdevice it is connected to switched at
runtime, from a CSI-2 subdevice to a parallel one and viceversa, through
the modification of links between media entities in the media controller
graph. To avoid discarding the per-subdevice configuration flags retrieved by
v4l2_fwnode parsing facilities, cache them in the 'rvin_graph_entity'
member of each VIN instance, opportunely renamed to 'rvin_parallel_entity'.

Also modify the register configuration function to take mbus flags into
account when running on a bus type that supports them.

The media bus type currently in use will be updated in a follow-up patch
to the link state change notification function.

When starting the VIN capture procedure we are not guaranteed that the
first buffer written to is VnMB1 to which we assigned the first buffer

dequeued in the same order they where queued for capture. Future
features planed for the VIN driver is support for outputting frames in
SEQ_TB/BT format and to do that it's important that capture starts from
the first buffer slot, VnMB1.

We are guaranteed that capturing always happens in sequence (VnMB1 ->
VnMB2 -> VnMB3 -> VnMB1). So drop up to two frames when starting
capturing so that the driver always returns buffers in the same order
they are queued and prepare for SEQ_TB/BT output.

015060cb77 media: rcar-vin: enable field toggle after a set number of lines for Gen3
The VIN Gen3 hardware don't have Line Post-Clip capabilities as VIN Gen2
hardware have. To protect against writing outside the capture window
enable field toggle after a set number of lines have been captured.

Capturing outside the allocated capture buffer where observed on R-Car
Gen3 Salvator-XS H3 from the CVBS input if the standard is
misconfigured. That is if a PAL source is connected to the system but
the adv748x standard is set to NTSC. In this case the format reported by
the adv748x is 720x480 and that is what is used for the media pipeline.
The PAL source generates frames in the format of 720x576 and the field
is not toggled until the VSYNC is detected and at that time data have
already been written outside the allocated capture buffer.

With this change the capture in the situation described above results in
garbage frames but that is far better then writing outside the capture
buffer.

c0cc5aef31 media: rcar-vin: add link notify for Gen3
Add the ability to process media device link change requests. Link
enabling is a bit complicated on Gen3, whether or not it's possible to
enable a link depends on what other links already are enabled. On Gen3
the 8 VINs are split into two subgroup's (VIN0-3 and VIN4-7) and from a
routing perspective these two groups are independent of each other.
Each subgroup's routing is controlled by the subgroup VIN master
instance (VIN0 and VIN4).

There are a limited number of possible route setups available for each
subgroup and the configuration of each setup is dictated by the
hardware. On H3 for example there are 6 possible route setups for each
subgroup to choose from.

This leads to the media device link notification code being rather large
since it will find the best routing configuration to try and accommodate
as many links as possible. When it's not possible to enable a new link
due to hardware constrains the link_notifier callback will return
-EMLINK.
