The CS2000 chip features two input clocks, REF_CLK and CLK_IN.
In static mode, the output clock (CLK_OUT) is directly derived from
REF_CLK, and CLK_IN is ignored. In dynamic mode, CLK_IN is used by the
digital PLL.
In dynamic mode, a low-frequency ratio configuration that uses a higher
multiplier factor.
Until now, only the static mode and high-frequency divider rations of
the hardware was supported by the driver. This patch adds support for
dynamic mode and both ratios:
* Parse a new OF property 'cirrus,dynamic-mode' to determine the mode
* In dynamic mode, present CLK_IN as parent clock, else use REF_CLK
* The low-frequency ratio mode is automatically selected, depending
on the mode of operation and the given input and output rates

The warning that a clock operation failed is only printed once. However,
the function is called for various different clocks. The limit hides the
warnings if different clocks are affected by the failures.
The clock ops might fail if the firmware that handles the clocks is
misconfigured. Therefore, replace the pr_warn_once with pr_debug to
allow the user to see all errors if necessary. By default, hide the
error messages and let drivers handle the errors.

Pass parent_data to ETHRX clock with new fw_name = "ETH_RX_CLK/ETH_REF_CLK".
By default, this change has no impact on the operation of the clock driver.
However, due to the fw_name, it permits DT to override ETHRX clock parent,
which might be needed in case the ETHRX clock are supplied by external clock
source.
Example of MCO2 supplying clock to ETH_RX_CLK via external pad-to-pad wire:
&rcc {
clocks = <&rcc CK_MCO2>;
clock-names = "ETH_RX_CLK/ETH_REF_CLK";
};
Note that while this patch permits to implement this rare usecase, the issue
with ethernet RX and TX input clock modeling on MP1 is far more complex and
requires more core plumbing.

The ETHCK_K are modeled as composite clock of MUX and GATE, however per
STM32MP1 Reference Manual RM0436 Rev 3, Page 574, Figure 83. Peripheral
clock distribution for Ethernet, ETHPTPDIV divider is attached past the
ETHCK_K mux, and ETH_CLK/eth_clk_fb clock are output past ETHCKEN gate.
Therefore, in case ETH_CLK/eth_clk_fb are not in use AND PTP clock are
in use, ETHCKEN gate can be turned off. Current driver does not permit
that, fix it.
This patch converts ETHCK_K from composite clock into a ETHCKEN gate,
ETHPTP_K from composite clock into ETHPTPDIV divider, and adds another
NO_ID clock "ck_ker_eth" which models the ETHSRC mux and is parent clock
to both ETHCK_K and ETHPTP_K. Therefore, all references to ETHCK_K and
ETHPTP_K remain functional as before.

This adds support for the StarFive JH7100, including the necessary
device drivers and DT files for the BeagleV Starlight prototype

to be the first usable low-cost platform for RISC-V.
I've taken this through the SoC tree in the anticipation of adding
a few other Arm based SoCs as well, but those did not pass the
review in time, so it's only this one.

As usual, this is the bulk of the updates for the SoC tree, adding
more devices to existing files, addressing issues from ever improving
automated checking, and fixing minor issues.
The most interesting bits as usual are the new platforms.
All the newly supported SoCs belong into existing families
this time:
- Qualcomm gets support for two newly announced platforms, both
of which can now work in production environments: the SDX65
5G modem that can run a minimal Linux on its Cortex-A7 core,
and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, their latest high-end phone SoC.
- Renesas adds support for R-Car S4-8, the most recent automotive
Server/Communication SoC.
- TI adds support for J721s2, a new automotive SoC in the K3
family.
- Mediatek MT7986a/b is a SoC used in Wifi routers, the latest
generation following their popular MT76xx series. Only basic
support is added for now.
- NXP i.MX8 ULP8 is a new low-power variant of the widespread
i.MX8 series.
- TI SPEAr320s is a minor variant of the old SPEAr320 SoC that
we have supported for a long time.
New boards with the existing SoCs include
- Aspeed AST2500/AST2600 BMCs in TYAN, Facebook and Yadro servers
- AT91/SAMA5 based evaluation board
- NXP gains twenty new development and industrial boards for their
i.MX and Layerscape SoCs
- Intel IXP4xx now supports the final two machines in device tree
that were previously only supported in old style board files.
- Mediatek MT6589 is used in the Fairphone FP1 phone from 2013,
while MT8183 is used in the Acer Chromebook 314.
- Qualcomm gains support for the reference machines using the two
new SoCs, plus a number of Chromebook variants and phones based
on the Snapdragon 7c, 845 and 888 SoCs, including various
Sony Xperia devices and the Microsoft Surface Duo 2.
- ST STM32 now supports the Engicam i.Core STM32MP1 carrier board.
- Tegra now boots various older Android devices based on 32-bit
chips out of the box, including a number of ASUS Transformer
tablets.
There is also a new Jetson AGX Orin developer kit.
- Apple support adds the missing device trees for all the remaining
M1 Macbook and iMac variants, though not yet the M1 Pro/Max
versions.
- Allwinner now supports another version of the Tanix TX6 set-top
box based on the H6 SoC.
- Broadcom gains support for the Netgear RAXE500 Wireless router
based on BCM4908.

Pull ARM SoC devicetree updates from Arnd Bergmann:
"As usual, this is the bulk of the updates for the SoC tree, adding
more devices to existing files, addressing issues from ever improving
automated checking, and fixing minor issues.
The most interesting bits as usual are the new platforms. All the
newly supported SoCs belong into existing families this time:
- Qualcomm gets support for two newly announced platforms, both of
which can now work in production environments: the SDX65 5G modem
that can run a minimal Linux on its Cortex-A7 core, and the
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, their latest high-end phone SoC.
- Renesas adds support for R-Car S4-8, the most recent automotive
Server/Communication SoC.
- TI adds support for J721s2, a new automotive SoC in the K3 family.
- Mediatek MT7986a/b is a SoC used in Wifi routers, the latest
generation following their popular MT76xx series. Only basic
support is added for now.
- NXP i.MX8 ULP8 is a new low-power variant of the widespread i.MX8
series.
- TI SPEAr320s is a minor variant of the old SPEAr320 SoC that we
have supported for a long time.
- Mediatek MT6589 is used in the Fairphone FP1 phone from 2013, while
MT8183 is used in the Acer Chromebook 314.
- Qualcomm gains support for the reference machines using the two new
SoCs, plus a number of Chromebook variants and phones based on the
Snapdragon 7c, 845 and 888 SoCs, including various Sony Xperia
devices and the Microsoft Surface Duo 2.
- ST STM32 now supports the Engicam i.Core STM32MP1 carrier board.
- Tegra now boots various older Android devices based on 32-bit chips
out of the box, including a number of ASUS Transformer tablets.
There is also a new Jetson AGX Orin developer kit.
- Apple support adds the missing device trees for all the remaining
M1 Macbook and iMac variants, though not yet the M1 Pro/Max
versions.
- Allwinner now supports another version of the Tanix TX6 set-top box
based on the H6 SoC.
- Broadcom gains support for the Netgear RAXE500 Wireless router
based on BCM4908"

FCH controller clock configuration slightly differs across AMD's
SOC architectures. Newer family of SOC only support a 48MHz fix
clock while stoney SOC family has a clk_mux to choose 48MHz and
25 MHz clk. At present fixed clk support is only enabled for RV
architecture using "is-rv" device property initialized from boot
loader. This limit 48MHz fixed clock gate support to RV platform
unless we add similar device property in boot loader for other
architectures.
Add pci_device_id table with Stoney platform id and replace "is-rv"
device property check with pci id match to add clk mux support with
25MHz and 48MHz clk support based on clk mux selection. This enable
48Mhz fixed fch clock support by default on all newer SOC's except
stoney. Also replace RV with FIXED as a generic naming conventions
across all platforms and changed module description.

The Ingenic JZ4760 and JZ4770 both have an extra DMA core named BDMA
dedicated to the NAND and BCH controller, but which can also do
memory-to-memory transfers. The JZ4760 additionally has a DMA core named
MDMA dedicated to memory-to-memory transfers. The programming manual for
the JZ4770 does have a bit for a MDMA clock, but does not seem to have
the hardware wired in.
Add the BDMA and MDMA clocks to the JZ4760 CGU code, and the BDMA clock
to the JZ4770 code, so that the BDMA and MDMA controllers can be used.

Commit 21e743300d ("clk: stm32mp1: new compatible for secure RCC support")
introduced a new Kconfig option COMMON_CLK_STM32MP157_SCMI which is not
used anywhere.
Further, it looks like this Kconfig option is just to select bunch of other
options which doesn't sound correct to me. There is no need for another
SCMI firmware based clock driver and hence the same applies for the config
option too.
Let us just drop the unused COMMON_CLK_STM32MP157_SCMI before it gives
someone idea to write a specific clock driver for this SoC/platform.

This is an initial implementation adding basic clocks, such as UART,
USI, I2C, WDT, ect. and their parent clocks. It is heavily based on the
Exynos850 clock driver at 'drivers/clk/samsung/clk-exynos850.c' which
was made by Sam Protsenko, thus the copyright and author lines were
kept.
Bus clocks are enabled by default as well to avoid hangs while trying to
access CMU registers.
Only the parts of CMU_TOP needed for CMU_CORE and CMU_PERI, a bit of

It is similar enough to pll0822x that practically the same code can

The TPS68470 PMIC provides Clocks, GPIOs and Regulators. At present in
the kernel the Regulators and Clocks are controlled by an OpRegion
driver designed to work with power control methods defined in ACPI, but
some platforms lack those methods, meaning drivers need to be able to
consume the resources of these chips through the usual frameworks.
This commit adds a driver for the clocks provided by the tps68470,
and is designed to bind to the platform_device registered by the
intel_skl_int3472 module.
This is based on this out of tree driver written by Intel:

The Clock-and-Reset controller resides in a core power domain on NVIDIA
Tegra SoCs. In order to support voltage scaling of the core power domain,
we hook up DVFS-capable clocks to the core GENPD for managing of the
GENPD's performance state based on the clock changes.
Some clocks don't have any specific physical hardware unit that backs
them, like root PLLs and system clock and they have theirs own voltage
requirements. This patch adds new clk-device driver that backs the clocks
and provides runtime PM functionality for them. A virtual clk-device is
created for each such DVFS-capable clock at the clock's registration time
by the new tegra_clk_register() helper. Driver changes clock's device
GENPD performance state based on clk-rate notifications.
In result we have this sequence of events:
1. Clock driver creates virtual device for selective clocks, enables
runtime PM for the created device and registers the clock.
2. Clk-device driver starts to listen to clock rate changes.
3. Something changes clk rate or enables/disables clk.
4. CCF core propagates the change through the clk tree.
5. Clk-device driver gets clock rate-change notification or GENPD core
handles prepare/unprepare of the clock.
6. Clk-device driver changes GENPD performance state on clock rate
change.
7. GENPD driver changes voltage regulator state change.
8. The regulator state is committed to hardware via I2C.
We rely on fact that DVFS is not needed for Tegra I2C and that Tegra I2C
driver already keeps clock always-prepared. Hence I2C subsystem stays
independent from the clk power management and there are no deadlock spots
in the sequence.
Currently all clocks are registered very early during kernel boot when the
device driver core isn't available yet. The clk-device can't be created
at that time. This patch splits the registration of the clocks in two
phases:
1. Register all essential clocks which don't use RPM and are needed
during early boot.
2. Register at a later boot time the rest of clocks.
This patch adds power management support for Tegra20 and Tegra30 clocks.

Nothing stops a clk controller from registering an OF clk provider
before registering those clks with the clk framework. This is not great
but we deal with it in the clk framework by refusing to hand out struct
clk pointers when 'hw->core' is NULL, the indication that clk_register()
has been called.
Within clk_core_fill_parent_index() we considered this case when a
clk_hw pointer is referenced directly by filling in the parent cache
with an -EPROBE_DEFER pointer when the core pointer is NULL. When we
lookup a parent with clk_core_get() we don't care about the return value
being NULL though, because that was considered largely impossible, but
it's been proven now that it can be NULL if two clk providers are
probing in parallel and the parent provider has been registered before
the clk has. Let's check for NULL here as well and treat it the same as
direct clk_hw references.

Before commit fc0c209c14 ("clk: Allow parents to be specified without
string names") child clks couldn't find their parent until the parent
clk was added to a list in __clk_core_init(). After that commit, child
clks can reference their parent clks directly via a clk_hw pointer, or
they can lookup that clk_hw pointer via DT if the parent clk is
registered with an OF clk provider.
The common clk framework treats hw->core being non-NULL as "the clk is
registered" per the logic within clk_core_fill_parent_index():
parent = entry->hw->core;
/*
* We have a direct reference but it isn't registered yet?
* Orphan it and let clk_reparent() update the orphan status
* when the parent is registered.
*/
if (!parent)
Therefore we need to be extra careful to not set hw->core until the clk
is fully registered with the clk framework. Otherwise we can get into a
situation where a child finds a parent clk and we move the child clk off
the orphan list when the parent isn't actually registered, wrecking our
enable accounting and breaking critical clks.
Consider the following scenario:
CPU0 CPU1
---- ----
struct clk_hw clkBad;
struct clk_hw clkA;
clkA.init.parent_hws = { &clkBad };
clk_hw_register(&clkA) clk_hw_register(&clkBad)
... __clk_register()
hw->core = core
...
__clk_register()
__clk_core_init()
clk_prepare_lock()
__clk_init_parent()
clk_core_get_parent_by_index()
clk_core_fill_parent_index()
if (entry->hw) {
parent = entry->hw->core;
At this point, 'parent' points to clkBad even though clkBad hasn't been
fully registered yet. Ouch! A similar problem can happen if a clk
controller registers orphan clks that are referenced in the DT node of
another clk controller.
Let's fix all this by only setting the hw->core pointer underneath the
clk prepare lock in __clk_core_init(). This way we know that
clk_core_fill_parent_index() can't see hw->core be non-NULL until the
clk is fully registered.

There are reports that 48kHz audio does not work on the WeTek Play 2
(which uses a GXBB SoC), while 44.1kHz audio works fine on the same
board. There are also reports of 48kHz audio working fine on GXL and
GXM SoCs, which are using an (almost) identical AIU (audio controller).
Experimenting has shown that MPLL0 is causing this problem. In the .dts
we have by default:
assigned-clocks = <&clkc CLKID_MPLL0>,
<&clkc CLKID_MPLL1>,
<&clkc CLKID_MPLL2>;
assigned-clock-rates = <294912000>,
<270950400>,
<393216000>;
The MPLL0 rate is divisible by 48kHz without remainder and the MPLL1
rate is divisible by 44.1kHz without remainder. Swapping these two clock
rates "fixes" 48kHz audio but breaks 44.1kHz audio.
Everything looks normal when looking at the info provided by the common

meson-clk-msr however shows that the actual MPLL0 clock is off by more
than 38MHz:
mp0_out 333322917 +/-10416Hz
The rate seen by meson-clk-msr is very close to what we would get when
SDM (the fractional part) was ignored:
(2000000000Hz * 16384) / ((16384 * 6) = 333.33MHz
If SDM was considered the we should get close to:
(2000000000Hz * 16384) / ((16384 * 6) + 12808) = 294.9MHz
Further experimenting shows that HHI_MPLL_CNTL7[15] does not have any
effect on the rate of MPLL0 as seen my meson-clk-msr (regardless of
whether that bit is zero or one the rate is always the same according to
meson-clk-msr). Using HHI_MPLL_CNTL[25] on the other hand as SDM_EN
results in SDM being considered for the rate output by the hardware. The
rate - as seen by meson-clk-msr - matches with what we expect when
SDM_EN is enabled (fractional part is being considered, resulting in a
294.9MHz output) or disable (fractional part being ignored, resulting in
a 333.33MHz output).

Like the individual CCU drivers, it can be beneficial for memory
consumption of cross-platform configurations to only load the CCU core
on the relevant platform. For example, a generic arm64 kernel sees the
following improvement when building the CCU core and drivers as modules:
before:
text data bss dec hex filename
13882360 5251670 360800 19494830 12977ae vmlinux
after:
text data bss dec hex filename
13734787 5086442 360800 19182029 124b1cd vmlinux
So the result is a 390KB total reduction in kernel image size.
The one early clock provider (sun5i) requires the core to be built in.
Now that loading the MMC driver will trigger loading the CCU core, the
MMC timing mode functions do not need a compile-time fallback.

The PRCM CCU drivers depend on clocks provided by other CCU drivers. For
example, the sun8i-r-ccu driver uses the "pll-periph" clock provided by
the SoC's main CCU.
However, sun8i-r-ccu is an early OF clock provider, and many of the
main CCUs (e.g. sun50i-a64-ccu) use platform drivers. This means that
the consumer clocks will be orphaned until the supplier driver is bound.
This can be avoided by converting the remaining CCUs to use platform
drivers. Then fw_devlink will ensure the drivers are bound in the
optimal order.
The sun5i CCU is the only one which actually needs to be an early clock
provider, because it provides the clock for the system timer. That one
is left alone.

Some clocks must be registered before init calls. For example MCT clock
(from CMU_PERI) is needed for MCT timer driver, which is registered
with TIMER_OF_DECLARE(). By the time we get to core_initcall() used for
clk-exynos850 platform driver init, it's already too late. Inability to
get "mct" clock in MCT driver leads to kernel panic, as functions
registered with *_OF_DECLARE() can't do deferred calls. MCT timer driver
can't be fixed either, as it's acting as a clock source and it's
essential to register it in start_kernel() -> time_init().
Let's register CMU_PERI clocks early, using CLK_OF_DECLARE(). CMU_TOP
generates clocks needed for CMU_PERI, but it's already registered early.
While at it, let's cleanup the code a bit, by extracting everything
related to CMU initialization and registration to the separate function.

Some clocks shouldn't be automatically disabled in clk_disable_unused(),
otherwise kernel hangs. Mark those clocks with:
- CLK_IS_CRITICAL flag, when there won't be any consumers for that
clock, but system can't function when it's gated
- CLK_IGNORE_UNUSED flag, when consumer driver will be probably added
later
That makes it possible to run the kernel without passing the
"clk_ignore_unused" param.
Next clocks were modified:
- "gout_dpu_cmu_dpu_pclk": CLK_IGNORE_UNUSED
Will be enabled later in DSIM driver (Display Serial Interface
Master).
- "gout_gpio_peri_pclk": CLK_IGNORE_UNUSED
"gout_gpio_cmgp_pclk": CLK_IGNORE_UNUSED
"gout_gpio_hsi_pclk": CLK_IGNORE_UNUSED
Should be probably enabled in corresponding GPIO driver later, or
made CLK_IS_CRITICAL. "gout_gpio_peri_clk" is actually used by LEDs
on Exynos850-based dev board, so kernel hangs if this clock is not
running. Other clocks were marked as "ignore unused" to prevent
similar issues for other use cases or boards that might be added
later.

CCI (Cache Coherent Interconnect): obviously is critical.

While it is useful to build all of the CCU drivers at once, only 1-3 of
them will be loaded at a time, or possibly none of them if the kernel is
booted on a non-sunxi platform. These CCU drivers are relatively large;
32-bit drivers have 30-50k of data each, while the 64-bit ones are
50-75k due to the increased pointer overhead. About half of that data
comes from relocations. Let's allow the user to build these drivers as
modules so only the necessary data is loaded.
As a first step, convert the CCUs that are already platform drivers.
When the drivers are built as modules, normally the file name becomes
the module name. However, the current file names are inconsistent with
the <platform>-<peripheral> name used everywhere else: the devicetree
bindings, the platform driver names, and the Kconfig symbols. Use
Makfile logic to rename the modules so they follow the usual pattern.

The old SD handling code was huge and could not handle all the details
which showed up on R-Car Gen3 SoCs meanwhile. It is time to switch to
another design. Have SDnH a separate clock, use the existing divider
clocks and move the errata handling from the clock driver to the SDHI
driver where it belongs.
This patch removes the old SD handling code and switch to the new one.
This updates the SDHI driver at the same time. Because the SDHI driver
can only communicate with the clock driver via clk_set_rate(), I don't
see an alternative to this flag-day-approach, so we cross subsystems
here.
The patch sadly looks messy for the CPG lib, but it is basically a huge
chunk of code removed and smaller chunks added. It looks much better
when you just view the resulting source file.

Commit 2d3de197a8 ("ARM: dts: arm: Update ICST clock nodes 'reg' and

to register multiple clocks with the same name. Fix this by including
the unit-address in the clock name.

The gcc_aggre1_pnoc_ahb_clk is crucial for the proper MSM8996/APQ8096
functioning. If it gets disabled, several subsytems will stop working
(including eMMC/SDCC and USB). There are no in-kernel users of this
clock, so it is much simpler to remove from the kernel.
The clock was first removed in the commit 9e60de1cf2 ("clk: qcom:
Remove gcc_aggre1_pnoc_ahb_clk from msm8996") by Stephen Boyd, but got
added back in the commit b567752144 ("clk: qcom: Add some missing gcc
clks for msm8996") by Rajendra Nayak.
Let's remove it again in hope that nobody adds it back.

This reverts commit 1da80da028.
Reading recent discussions [0] [1], I realized this change introduces
a number of problems:
- only converting to module_platform_driver creates the issue
with the existing __init and __initdata attributes.
When the driver would've been built as a module, all the missing
clock-definitions (all are initdata) should've turned up as error
in testing suggesting that the change wasn't at all
- a clock driver is a very core component of soc bringup and making
this able to be built as a module solely for enabling the soc vendor
to add out of tree changes for Android implementations is not in our
interest and also everything except a ramdisk won't probe without a
clock controller.
This is especially true when the changes aren't really tested and
are merely added to move the mainline driver "out of the way".

Two fixes in one:
- In the "impose hardware constraints" block, the "logical" divider
value (aka. not translated to the hardware) was clamped to fit in the
register area, but this totally ignored the fact that the divider
value can itself have a fixed divider.
- The code that made sure that the divider value returned by the
function was a multiple of its own fixed divider could result in a
wrong value being calculated, because it was rounded down instead of
rounded up.

On SAMA7G5 the prescaler part of master clock has been implemented as a
changeable one. Everytime the prescaler is changed the PMC_SR.MCKRDY bit
must be polled. Value 1 for PMC_SR.MCKRDY means the prescaler update is
done. Driver polls for this bit until it becomes 1. On SAMA7G5 it has
been discovered that in some conditions the PMC_SR.MCKRDY is not rising
but the rate it provides it's stable. The workaround is to add a timeout
when polling for PMC_SR.MCKRDY. At the moment, for SAMA7G5, the prescaler
will be removed from Linux clock tree as all the frequencies for CPU could
be obtained from PLL and also there will be less overhead when changing
frequency via DVFS.

SAMA7G5 supports DVFS by changing cpuck. On SAMA7G5 mck0 shares the same
parent with cpuck as seen in the following clock tree:
+----------> cpuck
|
FRAC PLL ---> DIV PLL -+-> DIV ---> mck0
mck0 could go b/w 32KHz and 200MHz on SAMA7G5. To avoid mck0 overclocking
while changing FRAC PLL or DIV PLL the commit implements a notifier for
mck0 which applies a safe divider to register (maximum value of the divider
which is 5) on PRE_RATE_CHANGE events (such that changes on PLL to not
overclock mck0) and sets the maximum allowed rate on POST_RATE_CHANGE
events.

SAM9X60's PLL which is also part of SAMA7G5 is composed of 2 parts:
one fractional part and one divider. On SAMA7G5 the CPU PLL could be
changed at run-time to implement DVFS. The hardware clock tree on
SAMA7G5 for CPU PLL is as follows:
+---- div1 ----------------> cpuck
|
FRAC PLL ---> DIV PLL -+-> prescaler ---> div0 ---> mck0
The div1 block is not implemented in Linux; on prescaler block it has
been discovered a bug on some scenarios and will be removed from Linux
in next commits. Thus, the final clock tree that will be used in Linux
will be as follows:
+-----------> cpuck
|
FRAC PLL ---> DIV PLL -+-> div0 ---> mck0
It has been proposed in [1] to not introduce a new CPUFreq driver but
to overload the proper clock drivers with proper operation such that
cpufreq-dt to be used. To accomplish this DIV PLL and div0 implement
clock notifiers which applies safe dividers before FRAC PLL is changed.
The current commit treats only the DIV PLL by adding a notifier that
sets a safe divider on PRE_RATE_CHANGE events. The safe divider is
provided by initialization clock code (sama7g5.c). The div0 is treated
in next commits (to keep the changes as clean as possible).

SAMA7G5 has 4 master clocks (MCK1..4) which are controlled though the
register at offset 0x30 (relative to PMC). In the last/first phase of
suspend/resume procedure (which is architecture specific) the parent
of master clocks are changed (via assembly code) for more power saving
(see file arch/arm/mach-at91/pm_suspend.S, macros at91_mckx_ps_enable
and at91_mckx_ps_restore). Thus the macros corresponding to register
at offset 0x30 need to be shared b/w clk-master.c and pm_suspend.S.
commit ec03f18cc2 ("clk: at91: add register definition for sama7g5's
master clock") introduced the proper macros but didn't adapted the
clk-master.c as well. Thus, this commit adapt the clk-master.c to use
the macros introduced in commit ec03f18cc2 ("clk: at91: add register
definition for sama7g5's master clock").

SAMA5D2 and SAMA7G5 have a special power saving mode (backup mode) where
most of the SoC's components are powered off (including PMC). Resuming
from this mode is done with the help of bootloader. Peripherals are not
aware of the power saving mode thus most of them are disabling clocks in
proper suspend API and re-enable them in resume API without taking into
account the previously setup rate. Moreover some of the peripherals are
acting as wakeup sources and are not disabling the clocks in this
scenario, when suspending. Since backup mode cuts the power for
peripherals, in resume part these clocks needs to be re-configured.
The initial PMC suspend/resume code was designed only for SAMA5D2's PMC
(as it was the only one supporting backup mode). SAMA7G supports also
backup mode and its PMC is different (few new functionalities, different
registers offsets, different offsets in registers for each
functionalities). To address both SAMA5D2 and SAMA7G5 PMC add
.save_context()/.resume_context() support to each clocks driver and call
this from PMC driver.

The Ux500 PRCC (peripheral reset and clock controller) can also
control reset of the IP blocks, not just clocks. As the PRCC is probed
as a clock controller and we have other platforms implementing combined
clock and reset controllers, follow this pattern and implement the PRCC

The driver, once it found a divider, tries to round it up by increasing
the least significant bit of the fractional part by one when the
round_up argument is set and there's a remainder.
However, since it increases the divider it will actually reduce the
clock rate below what we were asking for, leading to issues with
clk_set_min_rate() that will complain that our rounded clock rate is
below the minimum of the rate.
Since the dividers are fairly precise already, let's remove that part so
that we can have clk_set_min_rate() working.
This is effectively a revert of 9c95b32ca0 ("clk: bcm2835: add a round

Update clk_composite_determine_rate() to use rate_ops.determine_rate
when available in combination with a mux. So far clk_divider_ops provide
both, .round_rate and .determine_rate. Removing the former would make
clk-composite fail silently for example on Rockchip platforms (which
heavily use composite clocks).
Add support for using rate_ops.determine_rate when either
rate_ops.round_rate is not available or both (.round_rate and

Commit 69a00fb3d6 ("clk: divider: Implement and wire up
.determine_rate by default") switches clk_divider_ops to implement
.determine_rate by default. This breaks composite clocks with multiple
parents because clk-composite.c does not use the special handling for
mux + divider combinations anymore (that was restricted to rate clocks
which only implement .round_rate, but not .determine_rate).
Alex reports:
This breaks lot of clocks for Rockchip which intensively uses
composites, i.e. those clocks will always stay at the initial parent,
which in some cases is the XTAL clock and I strongly guess it is the
same for other platforms, which use composite clocks having more than
one parent (e.g. mediatek, ti ...)
Example (RK3399)
clk_sdio is set (initialized) with XTAL (24 MHz) as parent in u-boot.
It will always stay at this parent, even if the mmc driver sets a rate
of 200 MHz (fails, as the nature of things), which should switch it
to any of its possible parent PLLs defined in
mux_pll_src_cpll_gpll_npll_ppll_upll_24m_p (see clk-rk3399.c) - which
never happens.
Restore the original behavior by changing the priority of the conditions
inside clk-composite.c. Now the special rate + mux case (with rate_ops
having a .round_rate - which is still the case for the default
clk_divider_ops) is preferred over rate_ops which have .determine_rate
defined (and not further considering the mux).

Currently the exynos5433 apollo and atlas clks have their own custom

This is the initial implementation adding only basic clocks like UART,
MMC, I2C and corresponding parent clocks. Design is influenced by
Exynos5433 clock driver.
Bus clock is enabled by default (in probe function) for all CMUs except
CMU_TOP, the reasoning is as follows. By default if bus clock has no
users its "enable count" value is 0. It might be actually running if
it's already enabled in bootloader, but then in some cases it can be
disabled by mistake. For example, such case was observed when
dw_mci_probe() enabled the bus clock, then failed to do something and
disabled that bus clock on error path. After that, even the attempt to
read the 'clk_summary' file in DebugFS freezed forever, as CMU bus clock
ended up being disabled and it wasn't possible to access CMU registers
anymore.
To avoid such cases, CMU driver must increment the ref count for that
bus clock by running clk_prepare_enable(). There is already existing
'.clk_name' field in struct samsung_cmu_info, exactly for that reason.
It was added in commit 523d3de41f ("clk: samsung: exynos5433: Add
support for runtime PM"), with next mentioning in commit message:
> Also for each CMU there is one special parent clock, which has to be
> enabled all the time when any access to CMU registers is being done.
But that clock is actually only enabled in Exynos5433 clock driver right
now. So the same code is added to exynos850_cmu_probe() function,
As was described above, it might be helpful not only for PM reasons, but
also to prevent possible erroneous clock gating on error paths.
Another way to workaround that issue would be to use CLOCK_IS_CRITICAL
flag for corresponding gate clocks. But that might be not very good
design decision, as we might still want to disable that bus clock, e.g.
on PM suspend.

As there is a `rate` field in clk_smd_rpm, clk_smd_rpm_recalc_rate() can
be used by branch clocks to report rate as well, rather than assuming
the rate is always same as parent clock. This assumption doesn't hold
on platforms like QCM2290, where xo_board is 38.4MHz while bi_tcxo is
19.2MHz.
To get this work, XO buffered clocks need the following updates.
- Assign a correct rate rather than the fake one which is being used to
generate binary value for clk_smd_rpm_req interface.
- Explicitly handle the clk_smd_rpm_req interface value for XO buffered
clocks (.rpm_res_type being QCOM_SMD_RPM_CLK_BUF_A).

code was derived from very similar pll36xx type, with next differences:
1. Lock time for pll0831x is 500*P_DIV, when for pll36xx it's 3000*P_DIV
2. It's not suggested in Exynos850 TRM that S_DIV change doesn't require
performing PLL lock procedure (which is done in pll36xx

When defining pll0831x type, CON3 register offset should be provided as

PLL(pll_0831x, 0, "fout_mmc_pll", "oscclk",
PLL_LOCKTIME_PLL_MMC, PLL_CON3_PLL_MMC, pll0831x_26mhz_tbl),
To define PLL rates table, one can use PLL_36XX_RATE() macro, e.g.:
PLL_36XX_RATE(26 * MHZ, 799999877, 31, 1, 0, -15124)
as it's completely appropriate for pl0831x type and there is no sense in
duplicating that.
If bit #1 (MANUAL_PLL_CTRL) is not set in CON1 register, it won't be
possible to set new rate, with next error showing in kernel log:

That can happen for example if bootloader clears that bit beforehand.
PLL driver doesn't account for that, so if MANUAL_PLL_CTRL bit was

The csi_sel mux register is located in the CCM register base and not the
CCM_ANALOG register base. So move it to the correct position in code.
Otherwise changing the parent of the csi clock can lead to a complete
system failure due to the CCM_ANALOG_PLL_SYS_TOG register being falsely
modified.
Also remove the SET_RATE_PARENT flag since one possible supply for the
csi_sel mux is the system PLL which we don't want to modify.

On i.MX8ULP, for some of the PCCs, it has a peripheral SW RST bit
resides in the same registers as the clock controller. So add this
SW RST controller support alongs with the pcc clock initialization.
the reset and clock shared the same register, to avoid accessing
the same register by reset control and clock control concurrently,
locking is necessary, so reuse the imx_ccm_lock spinlock to simplify
the code.

On i.MX8ULP, the 'CLK_SET_RATE_PARENT' flag should NOT be
set and according to the laest RM, the PFD divider value range
seems will be changed in the future, so update the pfdv2 to
include the specific support for i.MX8ULP.

It is possible that a PFD is enabled in HW but not in SW. That
means the enable count & prepare count of the PFD clock is '0',
so the 'CLK_SET_RATE' flag can do nothing when the rate is changed
while the PFD is hw enabled. In order to safely change the pfd
rate, we can disable the PFD directly if it is hw enabled but not
used by SW end user.

For the imx_composite-7ulp clock type, The clock parent should
be changed explicitly by end user of this clock, if the the
'CLK_SET_RATE_NO_REPARENT' flag is not set, when user want to
set a clock frequency that can NOT get from HW accurately, then
the clock's parent will be switch to another clock parent sometimes.
This is NOT what we expected and introduced some additional debug
effort, so add the 'CLK_SET_RATE_NO_REPARENT' to avoid such unexpected
result.

i.MX7ULP peripheral clock ONLY allow parent/rate to be changed
with clock gated, however, during clock tree initialization, the
peripheral clock could be enabled by bootloader, but the prepare
count in clock tree is still zero, so clock core driver will allow
parent/rate changed even with CLK_SET_RATE_GATE/CLK_SET_PARENT_GATE
set, but the change will fail due to HW NOT allow parent/rate change
with clock enabled. It will cause clock HW status mismatch with
clock tree info and lead to function issue. Below is an example:
usdhc0's pcc clock value is 0xC5000000 during kernel boot up, it
means usdhc0 clock is enabled, its parent is APLL_PFD1. In DT file,
the usdhc0 clock settings are as below:
assigned-clocks = <&pcc2 IMX7ULP_CLK_USDHC0>;
assigned-clock-parents = <&scg1 IMX7ULP_CLK_NIC1_DIV>;
when kernel boot up, the clock tree info is as below, but the usdhc0
PCC register is still 0xC5000000, which means its parent is still
from APLL_PFD1, which is incorrect and cause usdhc0 NOT work.
nic1_clk 2 2 0 176000000 0 0 50000
usdhc0 0 0 0 176000000 0 0 50000
After making sure the peripheral clock is disabled during clock tree
initialization, the usdhc0 is working, and this change is necessary
for all i.MX7ULP peripheral clocks.
