Before this commit on probe() the driver would do:
reset=1 // from probe() calling gpiod_get(GPIOD_OUT_HIGH)
reset=0 // from resume()
msleep(20) // from resume()
So if reset was 0 before getting the GPIO the reset line would only be
driven high for a very short time and sometimes there would be errors
reading the id register afterwards.
Add a msleep(20) after getting the reset line to ensure the sensor is
properly reset:
reset=1 // from probe() calling gpiod_get(GPIOD_OUT_HIGH)
msleep(20) // from probe()
reset=0 // from resume()
msleep(20) // from resume()

The driver dug the supported link frequency up from the V4L2 fwnode
endpoint and used it internally, but failed to report this in the
LINK_FREQ and PIXEL_RATE controls. Fix this.

Split the resetting of the sensor out of the link_freq_config reg_list
and add a delay after this.
This hopefully fixes the stream sometimes not starting, this was
taken from the ov2740 sensor driver in the out of tree IPU6 driver:

On various Lenovo Thinkpad models with an ov2740 sensor the 360 MHz
link frequency is not supported.
Add support for 180 MHz link frequency, even though this has half the
pixel clock, this supports the same framerate by using half the VTS value
(significantly reducing the amount of empty lines send during vblank).
Normally if there are multiple link-frequencies then the sensor driver
choses the lowest link-frequency still usable for the chosen resolution.
In this case the board supports only 1 link-frequency. Which frequency
is supported is checked in ov2740_check_hwcfg() and then a different
set of supported_modes (using only the supported link-freq) is selected.
The register settings for this were taken from the ov2740 sensor driver
in the out of tree IPU6 driver:

HTS must be more then width, so the 1080 value clearly is wrong,
this is then corrected with some weird math dividing clocks in
to_pixels_per_line() which results in the hts getting multiplied by 2,
resulting in 2160.
Instead just directly set hts to the correct value of 2160 and
drop to_pixels_per_line().

the fwnode_property_read_u32("clock-frequency") call will fail.

On some ACPI platforms, such as Chromebooks the ACPI methods to
change the power-state (_PS0 and _PS3) fully take care of powering
on/off the sensor.
On other ACPI platforms, such as e.g. various ThinkPad models with
IPU6 + ov2740 sensor, the sensor driver must control the reset GPIO
and the sensor's clock itself.
Add support for having the driver control an optional clock.

The subdev .init_cfg() operation is affected by two issues:
- It has long been extended to initialize a whole v4l2_subdev_state
instead of just a v4l2_subdev_pad_config, but its name has stuck
around.
- Despite operating on a whole subdev state and not being directly
exposed to the subdev users (either in-kernel or through the userspace
API), .init_cfg() is categorized as a subdev pad operation.
This participates in making the subdev API confusing for new developers.
Fix it by renaming the operation to .init_state(), and make it a subdev
internal operation.

Stopping streaming on a camera pipeline at system suspend time, and
restarting it at system resume time, requires coordinated action between
the bridge driver and the camera sensor driver. This is handled by the
bridge driver calling the sensor's .s_stream() handler at system suspend
and resume time. There is thus no need for the sensor to independently
implement system sleep PM operations. Drop them.
The streaming field of the driver's private structure is now unused,
drop it as well.

The subdev .s_stream() operation shall not be called to start streaming
on an already started subdev, or stop streaming on a stopped subdev.

The struct i2c_client pointer is used only to get driver data,
associated with a struct device or print messages on behalf.
Moreover, the very same pointer to a struct device is already
assigned by a regmap and can be retrieved from there.
No need to keep a duplicative pointer.

The value returned by an i2c driver's remove function is mostly ignored.
(Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the
error is ignored.)
So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This
way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to
the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly.
There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to
return 0 before.

The module identifying will try to get the sub device data which
will be ready after sub device initialisation, so if try to use the
subdev data to deference the client will cause NULL pointer
dereference, this patch move the module identification after
v4l2_i2c_subdev_init() to fix this issue, it also fixes duplicate
module idendification.

Tell ACPI device PM code that the driver supports the device being in
non-zero ACPI D state when the driver's probe function is entered.
Also do identification on the first access of the device, whether in probe
or when starting streaming.

As the RGB digital gains of ov2740 were not applied as group, some
artifacts were observed in low light environment, use group write for
digital gain can make the RGB digital can be guaranteed to applied
together at frame boundary.

We have 'struct v4l2_subdev_pad_config' which contains configuration for
a single pad used for the TRY functionality, and an array of those
structs is passed to various v4l2_subdev_pad_ops.
I was working on subdev internal routing between pads, and realized that
there's no way to add TRY functionality for routes, which is not pad
specific configuration. Adding a separate struct for try-route config
wouldn't work either, as e.g. set-fmt needs to know the try-route
configuration to propagate the settings.
This patch adds a new struct, 'struct v4l2_subdev_state' (which at the
moment only contains the v4l2_subdev_pad_config array) and the new
struct is used in most of the places where v4l2_subdev_pad_config was
used. All v4l2_subdev_pad_ops functions taking v4l2_subdev_pad_config
are changed to instead take v4l2_subdev_state.
The changes to drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-subdev.c and
include/media/v4l2-subdev.h were written by hand, and all the driver
changes were done with the semantic patch below. The spatch needs to be
applied to a select list of directories. I used the following shell
commands to apply the spatch:

Commit dd8088d5a8 ("PM: runtime: Add pm_runtime_resume_and_get to deal with usage counter")
added pm_runtime_resume_and_get() in order to automatically handle
dev->power.usage_count decrement on errors.
Use the new API, in order to cleanup the error check logic.

Currently pointer nvm is being dereferenced before it is being null
checked. Fix this by moving the assignments of pointers client and
ov2740 so that are after the null check hence avoiding any potential
null pointer dereferences on pointer nvm.

OTP data access of ov2740 need enable the streaming mode to load
and it could be done in any time, so driver need allow the OTP
data access during streaming instead of return EBUSY, this patch
try to read the OTP data out in STREAMON if OTP data is not ready
before first time streaming start.

OTP data access of ov2740 in probe need power up, it may cause
the camera flash LED blink during probe if the LED use same power
rail with camera, this patch move the OTP data access out of
probe, it will only occur on demand from user by nvmem sysfs.

The pointer to 'struct v4l2_subdev' is stored in drvdata via
v4l2_i2c_subdev_init() so there is no point of a dance like:
struct i2c_client *client = to_i2c_client(struct device *dev)
struct v4l2_subdev *sd = i2c_get_clientdata(client);
This allows to remove local variable 'client' and few pointer
dereferences.

The OTP data was not ready after registered as nvmem device, it is
risky as the nvmem read may happen once the device exists, this patch
get the OTP data ready before registering the nvmem device. OTP data
missing should not break the normal camera sensor probe, so use a
warning instead of an error message.

ov2740 includes 512bytes of one-time programmable memory and
256 bytes are reserved for customers which can be used to store
customized information. This patch provide an NVMEM interface
to support read out the customized data in OTP.

current ov2740 driver is supposed to be working with ACPI only.

OminiVision ov2740 is a 2 megapixels RAW RGB image sensor which can
deliver 1920x1080@60fps frames. This driver add the support of
vertical blanking, exposure, test pattern, digital and analog gain
control for sensor.
