The only user of this exported ffa_dev_ops_get() was OPTEE driver which
now uses ffa_dev->ops directly, there are no other users for this.
Also, since any ffa driver can use ffa_dev->ops directly, there will be
no need for ffa_dev_ops_get(), so just remove ffa_dev_ops_get().

Currently ffa_dev_ops_get() is the way to fetch the ffa_dev_ops pointer.
It checks if the ffa_dev structure pointer is valid before returning the
ffa_dev_ops pointer.
Instead, the pointer can be made part of the ffa_dev structure and since
the core driver is incharge of creating ffa_device for each identified
partition, there is no need to check for the validity explicitly if the
pointer is embedded in the structure.
Add the pointer to the ffa_dev_ops in the ffa_dev structure itself and
initialise the same as part of creation of the device.

A race condition may occur if the user calls close() on another thread
during a write() operation on the device node of the efi capsule.
This is a race condition that occurs between the efi_capsule_write() and
efi_capsule_flush() functions of efi_capsule_fops, which ultimately
results in UAF.
So, the page freeing process is modified to be done in
efi_capsule_release() instead of efi_capsule_flush().

This patch adds efistub booting support, which is the standard UEFI boot
protocol for LoongArch to use.
We use generic efistub, which means we can pass boot information (i.e.,
system table, memory map, kernel command line, initrd) via a light FDT
and drop a lot of non-standard code.
We use a flat mapping to map the efi runtime in the kernel's address
space. In efi, VA = PA; in kernel, VA = PA + PAGE_OFFSET. As a result,
flat mapping is not identity mapping, SetVirtualAddressMap() is still
needed for the efi runtime.

The EFI stub is a wrapper around the core kernel that makes it look like
a EFI compatible PE/COFF application to the EFI firmware. EFI
applications run on top of the EFI runtime, which is heavily based on
so-called protocols, which are struct types consisting [mostly] of
function pointer members that are instantiated and recorded in a
protocol database.
These structs look like the ideal randomization candidates to the
randstruct plugin (as they only carry function pointers), but of course,
these protocols are contracts between the firmware that exposes them,
and the EFI applications (including our stubbed kernel) that invoke
them. This means that struct randomization for EFI protocols is not a
great idea, and given that the stub shares very little data with the
core kernel that is represented as a randomizable struct, we're better
off just disabling it completely here.

SCMI Reset protocol specification allows the asynchronous reset request
only when an autonomous reset action is specified. Reset requests based
on explicit assert/deassert of signals should not be served
asynchronously.
Current implementation will instead issue an asynchronous request in any
case, as long as the reset domain had advertised to support asynchronous
resets.
Avoid requesting the asynchronous resets when the reset action is not
of the autonomous type, even if the target reset domain does, in general,
support the asynchronous requests.

Remove the obsolete 'efivars' sysfs based interface to the EFI variable
store, now that all users have moved to the efivarfs pseudo file system,
which was created ~10 years ago to address some fundamental shortcomings
in the sysfs based driver.
Move the 'business logic' related to which EFI variables are important
and may affect the boot flow from the efivars support layer into the
efivarfs pseudo file system, so it is no longer exposed to other parts
of the kernel.

Move the device-creation from vga16fb to sysfb code. The driver's
videomode checks are independent from device creation, so move them
into vga16fb's probe function. This will allow to create the module
init/exit code automatically.
The vga16fb driver requires a screen_info for type VIDEO_TYPE_VGAC
or VIDEO_TYPE_EGAC. Such code is nowhere present in the kernel, except
for some MIPS systems. It's not clear if the vga16fb driver actually
works in practice.

In SCMI v3.1 the power scale can be in micro-Watts. The upper layers, e.g.
cpufreq and EM should handle received power values properly (upscale when
needed). Thus, provide an interface which allows to check what is the
scale for power values. The old interface allowed to distinguish between
bogo-Watts and milli-Watts only (which was good for older SCMI spec).

Commit 98f30d0ecf ("ACPI: power: Switch to sys-off handler API")
switched the ACPI sleep code from directly setting the old global
pm_power_off handler to using the new register_sys_off_handler()
mechanism with a priority of SYS_OFF_PRIO_FIRMWARE.
This is a problem when the old global pm_power_off handler would later
be overwritten, such as done by the late_initcall(efi_shutdown_init):
if (efi_poweroff_required())
pm_power_off = efi_power_off;
The old global pm_power_off handler gets run with a priority of
SYS_OFF_PRIO_DEFAULT which is lower then SYS_OFF_PRIO_FIRMWARE, causing
acpi_power_off() to run first, changing the behavior from before
the ACPI sleep code switched to the new register_sys_off_handler().
Switch the registering of efi_power_off over to register_sys_off_handler()
with a priority of SYS_OFF_PRIO_FIRMWARE + 1 so that it will run before
acpi_power_off() as before.
Note since the new sys-off-handler code will try all handlers in
priority order, there is no more need for the EFI code to store and
call the original pm_power_off handler.

The main additions this time around are:
1. The capability to trace full SCMI message headers and payloads.
The recent unearthing of chain of old firmware issues motivated
this effort so that it is easier to trace them and debug quicker
than it took this time around in absence of such tracing.
2. SCMI System power control driver to handle platform's requests for a
graceful shutdown. Though the system power control protocol has been
around since the begining of SCMI, it lacked the timeout information
that was added in SCMI v3.1 that enables kernel to take appropriate
action within the timeout and doesn't have to rely on any other
user inputs(which was blocking factor for addition of this driver
earlier)
3. Support for SCMI Power Capping protocol that was introduced in SCMI v3.1
This protocol is intended for controlling and monitoring the power
consumption of power capping domains. The firmware also provides the
hierarchy of powercap domains by providing parent domain information.
It also contains a bug fix in the old SCPI driver addressing possible
user-after-free issues.

Arm SCMI updates for v5.20

Add an SCMI System Power control driver to handle platform's requests
carried by SYSTEM_POWER_STATE_NOTIFIER notifications: such platform
requested system-wide power state transitions are handled accordingly,
gracefully or forcefully, depending on the notifications' message flags.
Graceful requests are relayed to userspace using the same Kernel API used
to handle ACPI Shutdown bus events.

its resource accounting updated, without getting access to its operations

the kernel OSPM agent but still need to be at least initialized. This
helper avoids the need to invoke a full devm_get_protocol() only to get
the protocol initialized while throwing away unused the protocol ops and

When scpi probe fails, at any point, we need to ensure that the scpi_info
is not set and will remain NULL until the probe succeeds. If it is not
taken care, then it could result use-after-free as the value is exported
via get_scpi_ops() and could refer to a memory allocated via devm_kzalloc()
but freed when the probe fails.

1. Issue reported on Juno with HDLCD clock which turned out to be yet
another firmware issue. The firmware is not conformant to the spec and
we now have to workaround as this may be copied to other platforms as
well. The spec expects to return size of 3 for a range clock rate
description while the firmware returns 1. We have other ways to validate
all the 3 entries the driver reads are polpulated and we use the same
to workaround this firmware bug.
2. Optee transport not setting the correct reponse length which is similar
to the one reported earlier on Rockchip platform.
3. Drop the usage of the deprecated ida_simple_{get,remove} and migrate to the

SGI interrupt register and reset is performed by EEMI ioctl
IOCTL_REGISTER_SGI. However, this is not correct use of EEMI call.
SGI registration functionality does not qualify as energy management
activity and so shouldn't be mapped to EEMI call.
This new call will replace IOCTL_REGISTER_SGI and will be handled by TF-A
specific handler in TF-A. To maintain backward compatibility for a while
firmware driver will still use IOCTL_REGISTER_SGI as fallback strategy if
new call fails or is not supported by TF-A.
This new design also helps to make TF-A as pass through layer for EEMI
calls. So we don't have to maintain PM_IOCTL as EEMI API ID in TF-A.

Move the fiddly bits of the efivar layer into its only remaining user,
efivarfs, and confine its use to that particular module. All other uses
of the EFI variable store have no need for this additional layer of
complexity, given that they either only read variables, or read and
write variables into a separate GUIDed namespace, and cannot be used to
manipulate EFI variables that are covered by the EFI spec and/or affect
the boot flow.

__efivar_entry_iter() uses a list iterator in a dubious way, i.e., it
assumes that the iteration variable always points to an object of the
appropriate type, even if the list traversal exhausts the list
completely, in which case it will point somewhere in the vicinity of the
list's anchor instead.
Fortunately, we no longer use this function so we can just get rid of it
entirely.

Switch the caching linked-list efivars layer implementation to the newly
introduced efivar get/set variable wrappers, instead of accessing the
lock and the ops pointer directly. This will permit us to move this code
out of the public efivars API, and into efivarfs once the obsolete sysfs
access method is finally removed.
Signed-off-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ardb@kernel.org>
Both efivars and efivarfs uses __efivar_entry_iter() to go over the
linked list that shadows the list of EFI variables held by the firmware,
but fail to call the begin/end helpers that are documented as a
prerequisite.
So switch to the proper version, which is efivar_entry_iter(). Given
that in both cases, efivar_entry_remove() is invoked with the lock held
already, don't take the lock there anymore.

Commit 5d9db88376 ("efi: Add support for a UEFI variable filesystem")
dated Oct 5, 2012, introduced a new efivarfs pseudo-filesystem to
replace the efivars sysfs interface that was used up to that point to
expose EFI variables to user space.
The main problem with the sysfs interface was that it only supported up
to 1024 bytes of payload per file, whereas the underlying variables
themselves are only bounded by a platform specific per-variable and
global limit that is typically much higher than 1024 bytes.
The deprecated sysfs interface is only enabled on x86 and Itanium, other
EFI enabled architectures only support the efivarfs pseudo-filesystem.
So let's finally rip off the band aid, and drop the old interface
entirely. This will make it easier to refactor and clean up the
underlying infrastructure that is shared between efivars, efivarfs and
efi-pstore, and is long overdue for a makeover.
Signed-off-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ardb@kernel.org>
Avoid the efivars layer and simply call the newly introduced EFI
varstore helpers instead. This simplifies the code substantially, and
also allows us to remove some hacks in the shared efivars layer that
were added for efi-pstore specifically.
In order to be able to delete the EFI variable associated with a record,
store the UTF-16 name of the variable in the pstore record's priv field.
That way, we don't have to make guesses regarding which variable the
record may have been loaded from.
Signed-off-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ardb@kernel.org>
The current efivars layer is a jumble of list iterators, shadow data
structures and safe variable manipulation helpers that really belong in
the efivarfs pseudo file system once the obsolete sysfs access method to
EFI variables is removed.
So split off a minimal efivar get/set variable API that reuses the
existing efivars_lock semaphore to mediate access to the various runtime
services, primarily to ensure that performing a SetVariable() on one CPU
while another is calling GetNextVariable() in a loop to enumerate the
contents of the EFI variable store does not result in surprises.
Signed-off-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ardb@kernel.org>
Even though the efivars_lock lock is documented as protecting the
efivars->ops pointer (among other things), efivar_init() happily
releases and reacquires the lock for every EFI variable that it
enumerates. This used to be needed because the lock was originally a
spinlock, which prevented the callback that is invoked for every
variable from being able to sleep. However, releasing the lock could
potentially invalidate the ops pointer, but more importantly, it might
allow a SetVariable() runtime service call to take place concurrently,
and the UEFI spec does not define how this affects an enumeration that
is running in parallel using the GetNextVariable() runtime service,
which is what efivar_init() uses.
In the meantime, the lock has been converted into a semaphore, and the
only reason we need to drop the lock is because the efivarfs pseudo
filesystem driver will otherwise deadlock when it invokes the efivars
API from the callback to create the efivar_entry items and insert them
into the linked list. (EFI pstore is affected in a similar way)
So let's switch to helpers that can be used while the lock is already
taken. This way, we can hold on to the lock throughout the enumeration.

Avoid abusing the efivar API by passing locally instantiated
efivar_entry structs into efivar_set_entry_safe(), rather than using the
API as intended. Instead, just call efi.set_variable() directly.
Signed-off-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ardb@kernel.org>
The efivars intermediate variable access layer provides an abstraction
that permits the EFI variable store to be replaced by something else
that implements a compatible interface, and caches all variables in the
variable store for fast access via the efivarfs pseudo-filesystem.
The SSDT override feature does not take advantage of either feature, as
it is only used when the generic EFI implementation of efivars is used,
and it traverses all variables only once to find the ones it is
interested in, and frees all data structures that the efivars layer
keeps right after.
So in this case, let's just call EFI's code directly, using the function
pointers in struct efi.

A reply to CLOCK_DESCRIBE_RATES issued against a non rate-discrete clock
should be composed of a triplet of rates descriptors (min/max/step)
returned all in one reply message.
This is not always the case when dealing with some SCMI server deployed in
the wild: relax such constraint while maintaining memory safety by checking
carefully the returned payload size.
While at that cleanup a stale debug printout.

scmi_voltage_descriptors_get() will incorrecly return an error code if
the last iteration of the for loop that retrieves the descriptors is
skipped due to an error. Skipping an iteration in the loop is not an
error, but the `ret` value from the last iteration will be propagated
when the function returns.
Fix by not saving return values that should not be propagated. This
solution also minimizes the risk of future patches accidentally
re-introducing this bug.

Commit b260fccaeb ("firmware: arm_scmi: Add SCMI v3.1 protocol extended
names support") moved all the name string buffers to use the extended buffer
size of 64 instead of the required 16 bytes. While that should be fine if
the firmware terminates the string before 16 bytes, there is possibility
of copying random data if the name is not NULL terminated by the firmware.
SCMI base protocol agent_name/vendor_id/sub_vendor_id are defined by the
specification as NULL-terminated ASCII strings up to 16-bytes in length.
The underlying buffers and message descriptors are currently bigger than
needed; resize them to fit only the strictly needed 16 bytes to avoid
any possible leaks when reading data from the firmware.
Change the size argument of strlcpy to use SCMI_SHORT_NAME_MAX_SIZE always
when dealing with short domain names, so as to limit the possibility that
an ill-formed non-NULL terminated short reply from the SCMI platform
firmware can leak stale content laying in the underlying transport shared
memory area.
While at that, convert all strings handling routines to use the preferred
strscpy.

away without it because we just bail when GetMemorySpaceDescriptor()

----
- Support TCPv6 segmentation offload with super-segments larger than
64k bytes using the IPv6 Jumbogram extension header (AKA BIG TCP).
- Generalize skb freeing deferral to per-cpu lists, instead of
per-socket lists.
- Add a netdev statistic for packets dropped due to L2 address
mismatch (rx_otherhost_dropped).
- Continue work annotating skb drop reasons.
- Accept alternative netdev names (ALT_IFNAME) in more netlink
requests.
- Add VLAN support for AF_PACKET SOCK_RAW GSO.
- Allow receiving skb mark from the socket as a cmsg.

An inclusion of cache.h in printk.h was added in 2014 in commit
c28aa1f0a8 ("printk/cache: mark printk_once test variable
__read_mostly") in order to bring in the definition of __read_mostly. The
usage of __read_mostly was later removed in commit 3ec25826ae ("printk:
Tie printk_once / printk_deferred_once into .data.once for reset") which
made the inclusion of cache.h unnecessary, so remove it.
We have a small amount of code that depended on the inclusion of cache.h
from printk.h; fix that code to include the appropriate header.
This fixes a circular inclusion on arm64 (linux/printk.h -> linux/cache.h
-> asm/cache.h -> linux/kasan-enabled.h -> linux/static_key.h ->
linux/jump_label.h -> linux/bug.h -> asm/bug.h -> linux/printk.h) that
would otherwise be introduced by the next patch.
Build tested using {allyesconfig,defconfig} x {arm64,x86_64}.

If the system exposes memory regions with the EFI_MORE_RELIABLE
attribute, it is implied that it is intended to be used for allocations
that are relatively important, such as the kernel's static image.
Since efi_random_alloc() is mostly (only) used for allocating space for
the kernel image, let's update it to take this into account, and
disregard all memory without the EFI_MORE_RELIABLE attribute if there is
sufficient memory available that does have this attribute.
Note that this change only affects booting with randomization enabled.
In other cases, the EFI stub runs the kernel image in place unless its
placement is unsuitable for some reason (i.e., misaligned, or its BSS
overlaps with another allocation), and it is left to the bootloader to
ensure that the kernel was loaded into EFI_MORE_RELIABLE memory if this
is desired.

The main theme for most of the changes this time is around the addition
of the support for SCMI v3.1 specification changes. Though one of the main
addition in the specification is the powercap protocol, that is still
work in progress and this set includes all other changes bit and pieces
scattered all around the different parts of the specification. There are
few bugs discovered during the process and associated fixes and some
refactoring to simplify the addition of v3.1 support. It mainly includes
the support for extended names, few newly added notifications and async
command support.
Apart from v3.1 SCMI changes, OPTEE transport gets support for dynamic

If the loader has already placed the EFI kernel image randomly in
physical memory, and indicates having done so by installing the 'fixed
placement' protocol onto the image handle, don't bother randomizing the
placement again in the EFI stub.
Signed-off-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ardb@kernel.org>
In a future patch, arm64's implementation of handle_kernel_image() will
omit randomizing the placement of the kernel if the load address was
chosen randomly by the loader. In order to do this, it needs to locate a
protocol on the image handle, so pass it to handle_kernel_image().

preventing the kernel from booting. Parts that needs to be executable

* All memory regions that the kernel may be relocated before

During system suspend it is completely valid for devices to invoke TISCI
commands during the noirq phase of the suspend path. Specifically this
will always be seen for devices that define a power-domains DT property
and make use of the ti_sci_pm_domains genpd implementation.
The genpd_finish_suspend call will power off devices during the noirq
phase, which will invoke TISCI.
In order to support this, the ti_sci driver must switch to not use
wait_for_completion_timeout during suspend, but instead rely on a manual
check for if the completion is not yet done, and proceed only if this is
the case.

Note that, if a voltage domain is advertised to support the asynchronous
version of VOLTAGE_LEVEL_SET, the command will be issued asynchronously
unless explicitly requested to use the synchronous version by setting the
mode to SCMI_VOLTAGE_LEVEL_SET_SYNC when calling voltage_ops->level_set.
The SCMI regulator driver level_set invocation has been left unchanged
so that it will transparently use the asynchronous version if available.

The string array 'name' inside struct scmi_clock_info holds the clock name
which was successfully retrieved by querying the SCMI platform, unless the
related underlying SCMI command failed.
Anyway, such scmi_clock_info structure is allocated using devm_kcalloc()
which in turn internally appends a __GFP_ZERO flag to its invocation:
as a consequence the string 'name' field does not need to be zeroed when
we fail to get the clock name via SCMI, it is already NULL terminated.

Move away from a statically allocated array for holding the current set of
protocols implemented by the platform in favour of allocating it
dynamically based on the number of protocols effectively advertised by the
platform via BASE protocol exchanges.
While at that, rectify the BASE_DISCOVER_LIST_PROTOCOLS loop iterations to
terminate only when a number of protocols equal to the advertised ones has
been received, instead of looping till the platform returns no more
protocols descriptors. This new behaviour is better compliant with the
specification and it has been tested to work equally well against an SCMI
stack running on top of an official SCP firmware on a JUNO board.

While enumerating protocols implemented by the SCMI platform using
BASE_DISCOVER_LIST_PROTOCOLS, the number of returned protocols is
currently validated in an improper way since the check employs a sum
between unsigned integers that could overflow and cause the check itself
to be silently bypassed if the returned value 'loop_num_ret' is big
enough.
Fix the validation avoiding the addition.

about protocol version and attributes could not be retrieved. Failing to
act this way can lead to a successfully initialized SCMI protocol which
is in fact not fully functional.

Fix the handling of MEM_FRAG_TX/RX SMCs when the full memory descriptor
does not fit in a single innovation of a memory sharing request.
The current implementation expects a FFA_MEM_SHARE/FFA_MEM_LEND
call to always receive a FFA_SUCCESS response, however in the
case where a full descriptor does not fit inside the partitions
TX buffer, the call can instead complete with a FFA_MEM_FRAG_RX SMC
to request the next part of the descriptor to be transmitted.
Similarly a FFA_MEM_FRAG_TX call currently only expects
FFA_MEM_FRAG_RX as a response, however once the full descriptor
has been transmitted the FFA_SUCCESS ABI will be used to indicate
successful transmission.
Update the existing code to match the expected behaviour.

The bug is here:
pmem->vaddr = NULL;
The list iterator 'pmem' will point to a bogus position containing
HEAD if the list is empty or no element is found. This case must
be checked before any use of the iterator, otherwise it will
lead to a invalid memory access.
To fix this bug, just gen_pool_free/set NULL/list_del() and return
when found, otherwise list_del HEAD and return;

Enable the feature check if the PM_FEATURE_CHECK API returns success
with the supported version for the ZynqMP. Currently, it is enabled
for Versal only.
Move get_set_conduit_method() at the beginning as the Linux is
requesting to TF-A for the PM_FEATURE_CHECK API version for which the
interface should be enabled with TF-A.

During efi initialization, check if coco_secret is defined in the EFI
configuration table; in such case, register platform device
"efi_secret". This allows udev to automatically load the efi_secret
module (platform driver), which in turn will populate the
<securityfs>/secrets/coco directory in guests into which secrets were
injected.
Note that a declared address of an EFI secret area doesn't mean that
secrets where indeed injected to that area; if the secret area is not
populated, the driver will not load (but the platform device will still
be registered).

Confidential computing (coco) hardware such as AMD SEV (Secure Encrypted
Virtualization) allows a guest owner to inject secrets into the VMs
memory without the host/hypervisor being able to read them.
Firmware support for secret injection is available in OVMF, which
reserves a memory area for secret injection and includes a pointer to it
the in EFI config table entry LINUX_EFI_COCO_SECRET_TABLE_GUID.
If EFI exposes such a table entry, uefi_init() will keep a pointer to
the EFI config table entry in efi.coco_secret, so it can be used later
by the kernel (specifically drivers/virt/coco/efi_secret). It will also
appear in the kernel log as "CocoSecret=ADDRESS"; for example:
[ 0.000000] efi: EFI v2.70 by EDK II
[ 0.000000] efi: CocoSecret=0x7f22e680 SMBIOS=0x7f541000 ACPI=0x7f77e000 ACPI 2.0=0x7f77e014 MEMATTR=0x7ea0c018
The new functionality can be enabled with CONFIG_EFI_COCO_SECRET=y.
