5832c4a77d ip_tunnel: convert __be16 tunnel flags to bitmaps
Historically, tunnel flags like TUNNEL_CSUM or TUNNEL_ERSPAN_OPT
have been defined as __be16. Now all of those 16 bits are occupied
and there's no more free space for new flags.
It can't be simply switched to a bigger container with no
adjustments to the values, since it's an explicit Endian storage,
and on LE systems (__be16)0x0001 equals to
(__be64)0x0001000000000000.
We could probably define new 64-bit flags depending on the
Endianness, i.e. (__be64)0x0001 on BE and (__be64)0x00010000... on
LE, but that would introduce an Endianness dependency and spawn a
ton of Sparse warnings. To mitigate them, all of those places which
were adjusted with this change would be touched anyway, so why not
define stuff properly if there's no choice.

Define IP_TUNNEL_*_BIT counterparts as a bit number instead of the
value already coded and a fistful of <16 <-> bitmap> converters and
helpers. The two flags which have a different bit position are
SIT_ISATAP_BIT and VTI_ISVTI_BIT, as they were defined not as
__cpu_to_be16(), but as (__force __be16), i.e. had different
positions on LE and BE. Now they both have strongly defined places.
Change all __be16 fields which were used to store those flags, to
IP_TUNNEL_DECLARE_FLAGS() -> DECLARE_BITMAP(__IP_TUNNEL_FLAG_NUM) ->
unsigned long[1] for now, and replace all TUNNEL_* occurrences to
their bitmap counterparts. Use the converters in the places which talk
to the userspace, hardware (NFP) or other hosts (GRE header). The rest
must explicitly use the new flags only. This must be done at once,
otherwise there will be too many conversions throughout the code in
the intermediate commits.
Finally, disable the old __be16 flags for use in the kernel code
(except for the two 'irregular' flags mentioned above), to prevent
any accidental (mis)use of them. For the userspace, nothing is
changed, only additions were made.

Most noticeable bloat-o-meter difference (.text):

vmlinux:	307/-1 (306)
gre.ko: 62/0 (62)
ip_gre.ko:	941/-217 (724)	[*]
ip_tunnel.ko:	390/-900 (-510)	[**]
ip_vti.ko:	138/0 (138)
ip6_gre.ko:	534/-18 (516)	[*]
ip6_tunnel.ko:	118/-10 (108)

[*] gre_flags_to_tnl_flags() grew, but still is inlined
[**] ip_tunnel_find() got uninlined, hence such decrease

The average code size increase in non-extreme case is 100-200 bytes
per module, mostly due to sizeof(long) > sizeof(__be16), as
%__IP_TUNNEL_FLAG_NUM is less than %BITS_PER_LONG and the compilers
are able to expand the majority of bitmap_*() calls here into direct
operations on scalars.

085c7c4e1c erspan: fix version 1 check in gre_parse_header()
Both version 0 and version 1 use ETH_P_ERSPAN, but version 0 does not
have an erspan header. So the check in gre_parse_header() is wrong,
we have to distinguish version 1 from version 0.

We can just check the gre header length like is_erspan_type1().

17c25cafd4 gre: fix uninit-value in __iptunnel_pull_header
syzbot found an interesting case of the kernel reading
an uninit-value [1]

Problem is in the handling of ETH_P_WCCP in gre_parse_header()

We look at the byte following GRE options to eventually decide
if the options are four bytes longer.

Use skb_header_pointer() to not pull bytes if we found
that no more bytes were needed.

All callers of gre_parse_header() are properly using pskb_may_pull()
anyway before proceeding to next header.

0e4940928c gre: refetch erspan header from skb->data after pskb_may_pull()
After pskb_may_pull() we should always refetch the header
pointers from the skb->data in case it got reallocated.

from the 'options' pointer which is fetched before
pskb_may_pull().

32bbd8793f net: Convert protocol error handlers from void to int
We'll need this to handle ICMP errors for tunnels without a sending socket
(i.e. FoU and GUE). There, we might have to look up different types of IP
tunnels, registered as network protocols, before we get a match, so we
want this for the error handlers of IPPROTO_IPIP and IPPROTO_IPV6 in both
inet_protos and inet6_protos. These error codes will be used in the next
patch.

For consistency, return sensible error codes in protocol error handlers
whenever handlers can't handle errors because, even if valid, they don't
match a protocol or any of its states.

This has no effect on existing error handling paths.

At this point transport header points to ICMP header, not the inner

3) pskb_may_pull() logic in gre_parse_header() really works

4) As Jiri explained in commit b7f8fe251e ("gre: do not pull header in

So this fix :

A) changes gre_parse_header() to use skb->data instead of
skb_transport_header()

B) Adds a nhs parameter to gre_parse_header() so that we can skip the
not pulled IP header from error path.

for normal and GRO paths respectively.

In GRO path, call skb_gro_checksum_try_convert

77cffe23c1 net: Clarification of CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY
This patch:
 - Clarifies the specific requirements of devices returning
   CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY (comments in skbuff.h).
 - Adds csum_level field to skbuff. This is used to express how
many checksums are covered by CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY (stores n - 1).
This replaces the overloading of skb->encapsulation, that field is
is now only used to indicate inner headers are valid.
 - Change __skb_checksum_validate_needed to "consume" each checksum
as indicated by csum_level as layers of the the packet are parsed.
 - Remove skb_pop_rcv_encapsulation, no longer needed in the new
   csum_level model.

d0a7ebbc11 GRE: enable offloads for GRE
To get offloads to work with Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE), the
outer transport header has to be reset after skb_push is done. This
patch has the support for this fix and hence GRE offloading.

4749c09c37 gre: Call gso_make_checksum
Call gso_make_checksum. This should have the benefit of using a
checksum that may have been previously computed for the packet.

This also adds NETIF_F_GSO_GRE_CSUM to differentiate devices that
offload GRE GSO with and without the GRE checksum offloaed.

fbd02dd405 ip_tunnel: Fix dst ref-count.
Commit 10ddceb22b (ip_tunnel:multicast process cause panic due
to skb->_skb_refdst NULL pointer) removed dst-drop call from
ip-tunnel-recv.

Following commit reintroduce dst-drop and fix the original bug by
checking loopback packet before releasing dst.

438e38fadc gre_offload: statically build GRE offloading support
GRO/GSO layers can be enabled on a node, even if said
node is only forwarding packets.

This patch permits GSO (and upcoming GRO) support for GRE
encapsulated packets, even if the host has no GRE tunnel setup.
