/*
* Initialisation delay between XCLR low->high and the moment when the sensor
* can start capture (i.e. can leave software stanby) must be not less than:
* t4 + max(t5, t6 + <time to initialize the sensor register over I2C>)
* where
* t4 is fixed, and is max 200uS,
* t5 is fixed, and is 6000uS,
* t6 depends on the sensor external clock, and is max 32000 clock periods.
* As per sensor datasheet, the external clock must be from 6MHz to 27MHz.
* So for any acceptable external clock t6 is always within the range of
* 1185 to 5333 uS, and is always less than t5.
* For this reason this is always safe to wait (t4 + t5) = 6200 uS, then
* initialize the sensor over I2C, and then exit the software standby.
*
* This start-up time can be optimized a bit more, if we start the writes
* over I2C after (t4+t6), but before (t4+t5) expires. But then sensor
* initialization over I2C may complete before (t4+t5) expires, and we must
* ensure that capture is not started before (t4+t5).
*
* This delay doesn't account for the power supply startup time. If needed,
* this should be taken care of via the regulator framework. E.g. in the
* case of DT for regulator-fixed one should define the startup-delay-us
* property.

static int imx219_enum_frame_size(struct v4l2_subdev *sd,
media: v4l2-subdev: add subdev-wide state struct We have 'struct v4l2_subdev_pad_config' which contains configuration for a single pad used for the TRY functionality, and an array of those structs is passed to various v4l2_subdev_pad_ops. I was working on subdev internal routing between pads, and realized that there's no way to add TRY functionality for routes, which is not pad specific configuration. Adding a separate struct for try-route config wouldn't work either, as e.g. set-fmt needs to know the try-route configuration to propagate the settings. This patch adds a new struct, 'struct v4l2_subdev_state' (which at the moment only contains the v4l2_subdev_pad_config array) and the new struct is used in most of the places where v4l2_subdev_pad_config was used. All v4l2_subdev_pad_ops functions taking v4l2_subdev_pad_config are changed to instead take v4l2_subdev_state. The changes to drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-subdev.c and include/media/v4l2-subdev.h were written by hand, and all the driver changes were done with the semantic patch below. The spatch needs to be applied to a select list of directories. I used the following shell commands to apply the spatch: dirs="drivers/media/i2c drivers/media/platform drivers/media/usb drivers/media/test-drivers/vimc drivers/media/pci drivers/staging/media" for dir in $dirs; do spatch -j8 --dir --include-headers --no-show-diff --in-place --sp-file v4l2-subdev-state.cocci $dir; done Note that Coccinelle chokes on a few drivers (gcc extensions?). media: v4l2-subdev: add subdev-wide state struct We have 'struct v4l2_subdev_pad_config' which contains configuration for a single pad used for the TRY functionality, and an array of those structs is passed to various v4l2_subdev_pad_ops. With minor changes we can make Coccinelle run fine, and these changes can be reverted after spatch.
